Lovely gem f a hotel in Bournemouth… have stay d in many hotels here in Bournemouth. Very well presented through out. Room was small but was perfect for just me. Bathroom was very nice with a good shower. Highly recommend, it’s not cheap but its a reasonable rate especially for a Saturday and close to Christmas for tree festival. Nice a quiet at night. Perfect.

I have stayed here numerous times when I'm working in the area. It's clean, tidy, staff are friendly and its close to the town. Decent car park. Never struggled for a space.

I had a single room which was clean, quiet and comfortable. The adjacent private bathroom was also clean, modern and well maintained. Check-in and out was very fast and easy and the location is good for both beaches and town. The parking and good supply of tea/coffee in the room were particularly welcome. I will definitely use this hotel again.

Stayed here one night last week and all I can say is this place is definitely worth a visit! Nice clean and of a high standard, staff were also very nice and always there to help. Close to the beach. Would stay here again!

Great location by the beach. Super clean! Homely vibe. Lovely people! Really enjoyed my cosy and calm stay in this lovely place. Totally go! Oh and they gave me an I phone charger when I forgot mine!

Modern, clean, easy check in and parking. Such friendly staff — was alone on a business trip but never felt lonely — the garden was lovely with a glass of wine in the evening. Sea not too far away! Would highly recommend.

It is in a scruffy area and looks a bit tired from the outside. However inside is immaculate and clean. Room and bathroom good. Service good. In a nicer location would be 5* but twice the price!

When we arrived to the the hotel it was immaculate. Very modern. We arrived earlier than the check in time, the lady on the desk told us the room would be ready early. She was very helpful & held our luggage until the room was done. When we got to the rooms, the standard of cleaning & the interior of the room was exceptional. The beds are very comfortable too, breakfast was nice, just a little overpriced for what you get. The only thing I would recommend is to take your own towels as the ones provided are quite small. But other than that, I would highly recommend staying here, the money you pay for your room is worth every penny. Will definitely be returning!

My friends and I loved the place, it was really nice and close to the beach and restaurant. We had the best customer service too, always willing to help and make the customer happy! Over all they deserve 5 star.

Loved staying here! 3 nights in room on ground floor, good size, clean, and comfortable bed. Lounge and breakfast room felt very homely, food great, friendly staff. Next time we visit from New Zealand, will stay again.

I really enjoyed staying at the Applewood Hotel and I recommend the welcoming, professional, helpful and kind staff. Their beds are comfy and the rooms/bathrooms perfectly clean and spacious. I also liked their breakfast and the central location. The parking space is another plus. I absolutely recommend it.

Good quality price. The ground floor room was not great but for one night it was more than fine. Comfortable bed.

Great hotel, done up to a really high spec. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. I had the veggie breakfast and the veggie sausages were excellent. It’s also in a great location close to the beach and to town.

This was our second stay at The Applewood Hotel and, once again, we were very pleased with the friendly service, clean and comfortable room, convenient location, free parking and excellent breakfast. I’m happy to recommend this hotel.

Great customer service! Small independent hotel currently being refurbished to a high standard with excellent attention to detail. Exceptional value for money. Convenient location for both Bournemouth and Poole with bonus of being within easy walking distance to frequent bus service in both directions. Close to wide range of delectable eateries in Westbourne. N. B. Only two accessible rooms on ground floor for disabled guests so need to book ahead!

Amazing independent hotel. Beautifully decorated and the breakfast is always lovely. Prefer it to any of the big chain hotels. The people there are always so welcoming and friendly!

Value for money, clean and the perfect one-night stay. Thin walls, so the neighbouring room didn't get the privacy they wanted. (I do hope Steve gets that rash cleared up. ) Great breakfast too — staff even remembered a chat about my preference for mushrooms the afternoon before, and delivered extra mushrooms. With a smile. Can't beat that level of service/attention.

We booked a family room but found that to be very conjusted. The basin plug wasn't functioning so waste water could not flow out. Had to call staff to get that empty. She was responsive and managed to sort that out and told that handyman was expected but never turned up. This was the very first day and very first experience. The bathroom bin wasn't empty, had some dirty nappies from previous guests and was stinking. This was the second bad experience. They cleaned the bin but this shouldn't have happen that is what I reckon. The stay was okay but expensive for the hotel condition and cleanliness. After reading our review on expedia, they responded : " Dear V, our family rooms are ideally suited for 2 adults and 2 children. You had 4 adults and a toddler in the room which we did not approve of. There was nothing wrong with the basin plug which was fine after we showed you how it works. It's impossible that the bin was filled with nappies as we double check our rooms and the previous guests did not have young children" Instead of apologizing, they are making allegations against us and telling us we are wrong. We were 3 adults and a baby. If they had problem with our reservation, they shouldn't have accepted it and all of the above mentioned did happen to us while our stay in the hotel. Unprofessional people, bunch of liars and appalling hotel, would never ever recommend.

A fantastic stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Staff are very informative about area and extremely friendly. Dale in particular went out of his way to help. Rooms are well presented lovely decor and very clean. Hotel assisted with our requests and we were delighted with our stay. Thank you. My only thing is breakfast is additional to the room rate. Would be to include already in price. As we ended up going near seafront to eat breakfast. Hotel bar closes at 9pm. It is such a lovely bar was not able to make use of. A late night drink would have been Hotel is definitely worth staying at. Thank you Dale and Alex.

We had a very comfortable stay in a hotel whose team clearly takes pride in their establishment. Extremely friendly service, great breakfasts and rooms. There was some street (traffic) noise in our room, but it didn’t disturb our sleep and we had a lovely stay. Recommended.

Great location! Lovely clean and quiet hotel with modern decor. Friendly helpful staff. Allowed us to leave the car in the car park even after check out which was great as it's only a 5minute walk to the seafront so saved having to move the car and pay for parking. Will definitely be staying again!

Really good location hotel, nice and simple room and clean bathroom. Receptionists Anna and Joana were very friendly and helpfull. Would happily recommend to friends. I hope to be back next time.

My room was slightly smaller than ideal but as I was in my own it didn't make too much difference. It was immaculately clean, in really good repair. Easy to find, safe parking. With lots of great places to eat, drink and be entertained.

Was a lovely stay for a long weekend. Rooms were spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely and above all thank you to Anna for always happy to help with a smile on your face.

My wife and I where over in Bournemouth from Thailand to see our son who was at Bournemouth University. We stayed during our visit at the Applewood Hotel in Bournemouth, the stay was most enjoyable with a very good meet and greet reception who explained the layout of all the Hotel facilities and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The Hotel is very close to all the shopping, banking facilities and a 20minute walk from the beach, they also have parking facilities if you have a car. We will be visiting Bouremouth again later this year and will definitely be contacting the Applewood Hotel to stay there. Clifford Smith.

Beds are not comfortable and the cooked breakfast is terrible. Best stick to the toast and cereal!

Best hotel in Bournemouth by far because of its central location and cleanliness. It is only a 5min walk from the beach and town centre and there is free parking at the hotel. Also it has Wi-Fi and the only hotel that offers a light breakfast which is ideal if you do not want a full English.

Nice overnight stop at the Applewood Hotel. We went last minute on a budget and it was great value. Even for a small room it was spacious enough, hotel was clean and staff were very friendly.

Nice rooms but breakfast doesn't start until 8am. Recently decorated (2016) rooms next to the main road can be noisy.

A well appointed hotel 15 minutes walk from town centre. Had an ensuite room with comfortable bed. Breakfast included served dinning room/ longe bar. The service was friendly and efficient.

A lovely, modern, clean hotel.

This is a lovely little hotel. I stayed here with my partner in February 2016 and the only issue that we had was that we never wanted to leave. It's in a great location as everything you could want to do in Bournemouth is in walking distance it takes 10 minutes to the beach, shopping centre, clubs, ext. All the staff were extremely friendly and made sure that our stay was an unforgettable one. I would suggest this hotel to anyone going to Bournemouth :)

The applewood hotel is a very attractive hotel with lovely rooms and wonderful staff the management are excellent and a well run hotel in it's been a pleasure staying here x.

A place that bursts with Good people and great service. One of the Best…

This is the best place to relax if you want a good holiday. The hotel is very comfortable and has a beautiful garden with apple trees hence the name. The breakfast is five star quality and the Scarrs who run the place try to make you feel at home. You dont need any lunch after having the breakfast which is more than sufficient. You start with fruit juice and a variety of yoghurts and different kinds of cereals. There is a choice of breads and jams and teas or freshly brewed coffee. English breakfast is scrumptious and you have to eat it to believe the quality of sausages. There is even Quaker oats if you so desire. The breakfast room is sunny and there is flat screen to keep you up the date with international and UK news and weather. There are good walks everywhere to pubs and restaurants and high street shopping and access to the coast where the beaches are marvellous. There is sightseeing. I like the Compton gardens and a drive to the old castle for afternoon tea and picturesque view of ferry to Ferriby etc. Highly recommended and cant wait for next chance to visit and explore other places we missed. High street shopping is just great! too.
