Reviews of The Mole Resort 4*
The Highbullen Hotel is a stunning hotel with beautiful surrounding grounds. Our room was clean and bed well made so thank you to the house keeper. The Dartmoor room was cosy although I was on the phone to reception at midnight as the room next to us had the TV on maximum booming through the wall, this continued until 2am so was extremely tired driving home the day after. The pool could of been cleaner and the ladies changing rooms also, no machine to dry out wet swim wear, would be good if they had a pair of hair straighteners to style hair after swimming. The breakfast was served at a good time on a weekend so didn't have to get up too early. The only thing I'd like to change is perhaps have more vegan/milk allergy options available. With hot drinks & breakfast the only milk alternative was soya unfortunately I don't like, would be nice to have an option of Oat/Almond milk which is alot nicer to drink than soya. some of the staff were friendly, I felt some felt fed up and didn't really want to be there perhaps stressed? which is sad to see, I hope this can change and improve as would make the experience more enjoyable visiting the hotel. Over all a lovely relaxing location in a stunning manor house in the middle of no where. Thank you for our stay!
The reception was very welcoming The food excellent Our bedroom clean comfy lots hot water The staff can't do enough f for you The pool spar all good Will have to return Nothing bad to say Excellent hotel.

I was really dissapointed with my stay here, the pool was so busy it was like butlins rather than a relaxing use of facilities, our check in was 3pm but the room was not ready until 3.45pm, after we were served dinner in the cellars restaurant no one came back to us after that, the staff disappeared so we went back to our room for chocolate for pudding, went down for breakfast at 9.25am and had to wait until 9.50am to be seated as no tables had been cleared. I'm sure normally this would be amazing place to stay, and they seemed very short staffed which again I understand but after complaining to the management I was told there was a big crowd there that stay every year so they were very busy, I was offered a room upgrade next time I stay there, but this was a treat, it is not a place I would pay that sort of money again to have such poor service, a drink off our bill would have been a nice gesture.
