We love this pool it's nice and small and warm and ideal for our little baby. Only thing is if my husband takes him there's no changing facilities in the men's. But they do have the changing in the woman's for the baby. Showers are lovely and hot and you also get to use the sauna and steam room. Only thing I find a bit confusing is getting in the place. Every time I go in the main entrance I never know where the reception is or where to go so I feel like I'm wondering around a little bit.

Newly refurbished. Nice quiet swim for the kids. Food ok. Drinks ok. Staff friendly and very helpful.

Firstly the hotel is currently being renovated so not everything is perfect. Our room was very large and was what we needed, although some of the lights did not work but wasn't really an issue. The indoor pool was good, the bar and restaurant look very nice and are reasonably priced. Stuart the manager was brilliant and very polite, nothing was a bother. Would stop again if in the area.

Indoor Pool area looking very tired now. Water often murky looking, and very dark in there. Jacuzzi/hot tub looks like it's older than me. Changing rooms in need of a full refit. I've heard the place has just changed hands and the new owner is putting the prices up… Definitely won't be renewing membership at it was barely with the old price. (And that was discounted too! ). If the new owners invest and bring it back to former glory, then maybe they can get away with an increase?

Recent change of ownership and what a difference. We tried the restaurant for my birthday and had a really excellent meal. The burgers are first class, created with flair and fine local beef, home pickled chillies and skinny fries with a pot of mayo. My partner went for the fish and chips. Crispy cider batter, Brixham cod and chips fried in beef dripping: better than any chip shop fayre. The chef also gave us a little sampler of a wild mushroom risotto on the menu: ceps, girolles, home produced stock, dusted with beetroot chutes and aged parmesan: I havent tasted better. Outstanding find, off the beaten track, but well worth seeking out!

Only used the pool it is a relaxing area to use peaceful.

We stayed for four nights in the summer at a very affordable rate. The hotel has a good range of facilities including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, spa treatments and a small outdoor play area. Our room was a good size and comfortable. The staff were friendly and happy to help with anything we asked of them. They provided a travel cot and high chair for our toddler. My only disappointment was that there were not many vegetarian options on the menu. The restaurant menu on the website had a wide variety of dishes but this didn't seem to be available during our stay. However, the jacket potatoes and cooked breakfasts were good. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and we are likely to return in the future.

Lush pool, nice and quiet and able to get on with your own thing in peace.

Was welcomed by friendly staff but was very shocked and dissapointed to be placed near the entrance to the pool to eat a meal. Though I must say the food was lovely this place just needs a proper dining room to eat and not just a room where you have people walking in and out to the swimming pool also all you could smell was the strong smell of chlorine which means the pool must be kept clean but it's not a thing u want to smell whilst your trying to eat a meal. The room we were placed in made us feel uncomfortable and out of place and all we had was kids running back and forth from our table just of putting when your trying to have a nice meal. As stated the food I couldn't fault it was delicious but won't be returning again due to the set out.

My daughter recently attended a party in the pool at this hotel. It is the second one she has been too and truly enjoyed both times. I shall be looking into prices for her birthday party this year! The staff are all very polite and helpful and the swimming coordinatoris also lovely!

I stayed there this weekend with a hen party and I'm sorry as I don't to be rude but this hotel needs some attention as it just felt like a 90s bed and breakfast, the staff were lovely tho, well apart from this morning the young girls who's was lovely yesterday didn't seem happy while serving breakfast, the breakfast was ok but my eggs wasn't cooked and it had a piece of shell on the top needless to say I didn't eat it, another hen asked for scrabbled eggs and what she got was cold and it's was a funny colour, normally I wouldn't complain, but the photos on line were not what we saw when we arrived, this hotel needs a good old freshen up!

I've been a few times and didn't have a problem. But went on Thursday and recommended it to a friend who also came with me. Swimming was fine but as we went to get our deposit back for the locker key the girl that was working there was very rude. My 3 year old was standing beside the bar waiting desperately to hand her the key and she told me to remove my child from near the bar. I looked at my friend in shock as she was doing nothing wrong she then turned around and rolled her eyes and gave a very sarcastic "Thank you".
For a hotel that holds kids party's you'd think they would be child friendly obviously not anyone who knows my daughter knows she is well behaved she was doing nothing wrong and felt there was no need for the comment to be made.

Heard relatively good things about this hotel and the pool so decided to give it a try with a friend and our small children. Phoned up in the morning to check it was available and was told it was general swim. Got there and first impressions not good, tiny changing room and it was rammed due to swimming lessons which had divided 1/3 of the pool and we spent much of the time trying to dodge the poor people trying to do lanes in the other side. The pool water actually tasted …salty and there was a disgusting smell about the place! We decided to get out after about 10mins! Tried to get out the main door towards the reception and the door was so heavy I actually struggled to get out with my daughter. Went to reception to complain and explain to the girl behind the counter that we were disappointed in the whole experience and would like our money back, and her response was a VERY sarcastic slap on the desk, grin on her face "I'll go check with the manager" — the manager did not come out and see us, and agreed to a refund — obviously not the first time to hear this sort of complaint! Definitely will not be going back. I've never seen staff so rude, we were actually in shock with her attitude!

We take our little boy swimming here. The pool is always just the right temperature and we generally have it all to ourselves.

Just had a one nite stay with 2 of my young children and this hotel was beautifully clean and well presented. The family room was huge and a massive TV in the master bedroom. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Highly recommend.

A wonderful weekend, great food, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy room. Should have more than a 2 star rating. Will look forward to returning. Thank you to all the staff.
