We have just come back from a long weekend at Valleyside Escapes. It is set in a beautiful location with lovely views. The Safari tent had everything you needed, especially welcome was the log burner as the evenings were quite chilly! It was spacious, with essential amenities, large comfy beds and thoughtful touches like a welcome basket including dog treats. Emma and Matt were lovely, very helpful with advice for activities and walks when we were planning our trip and took time to greet us on arrival to make sure we were settled. It is ideally located, close to a lovely pub The Fisherman’s Cot where we enjoyed lunch in a lovely setting by the river. We definitely would recommend it here and will probably be back.
A beautiful location, wonderful, friendly hosts, with lots to do and see! Accommodation is of a very high standard. The location is spectacular, surrounded by breath-taking walks. The whole family had a great time and will make this an annual break!

Valleyside Escapes is exactly that, a true escape. Last summer we were lucky enough to enjoy a long weekend, which felt like a real treat after lockdowns and not being able to go anywhere. Emma and Matt are lovely hosts and have created an idyllic escape where it’s easy to forget about the stresses and strains of real life. The safari tent was large, comfortable and well-equipped. I have fond memories of camping holidays when I was a kid, but as a parent I appreciated the comforts of glamping with a shower, wood burner, a proper bed, welcome goodies and a kitchen to cook in — plus a fire pit outside for toasting marshmallows. Bliss! Our seven-year-old absolutely loved the den area and cabin bed inside the tent, and the play area made his holiday. It’s perfect for families with the tents enclosed in a field with stunning far-reaching views. While we were able to relax on the raised veranda with a drink, our son had an incredible time playing and making friends. The moment we left he asked when we could come back. And we will return, most definitely!
