Norwegian Wood Hotel

The location is perfect — great sea views and a short stroll to the beach. The breakfast was delicious (and organic, as promised. ) The house was spotlessly clean and very pleasant inside. The toys in the shared living room were excellent for keeping our children entertained (whilst we enjoyed the board games). But the thing that really 'made it' for us were the hosts — they are incredibly hospitable and did everything they could to make us feel truly welcome. Sometimes it is the small things that make the biggest difference and returning to find our soggy shoes had been dried by the AGA was very much appreciated! It's rare that time away with three young children is 'relaxing' but we really did enjoy our short time away. Our children were very sad to leave and so were we!

My partner and I stayed for a week, with our 15 month old daughter and were sad to leave. Our room had a wonderful view, overlooking the stunning garden and out to the sea. The hosts, Heather and John are friendly and attentive; going out of their way to make us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them.
All the rooms are clean, comfortable and have an easy, relaxing feel to them and the location of the house is ideal for walking distance for the beach and Pier in Paignton as well as a leisurely stroll to nearby Cockington and Torquay.

Heather &a John are superb hosts and nothing is to much trouble. A beautiful home with superb accommodation. Everything is thought of and it's the ideal place to relax and enjoy being by the sea.
Super comfy beds, spacious rooms, all amenities catered for and the garden over looking the bay is idyllic.
The organic meals are a delight with fresh produce and plenty of it. Totally impressed with Norwegian Wood and look forward to taking friends and family soon.

We stayed here for 2 nights and I can honestly say that this is the best GH I've ever stayed in. The owners are very friendly, the breakfast is superb and the rooms are lovely, there is also a lounge area where you can relax outside your room with a relaxing feel to it. The rooms are immaculately clean and the beds are very comfortable. There is a shared toilet but don't let that put you off because it's only a few feet from the 2 rooms there and it's a sizable one with many complimentary toiletries.
I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's slightly tricky to find the side road leading to it as it's half way up a slight hill but I cannot fault this place. We will definitely be returning.
