Arrived today. Loving it so far. Lovely room, very clean, lovely hosts. Adorable golden retriver.

Great place.
Fantastic rooms.
Clean and tidy, update to date interior.
Comfortable beds, clean bedding towels ect placed outside rooms as per covid restrictions.
Covid Safe
Will and staff could do more for their guests, welcoming and a good sense of humor to boot.

Just finished a 3 night stay here with my partner! The Smugglers Rest is absolutely stunning! I can only give high praise for this place! Will and his team are so helpful, friendly and are a good laugh! The rooms are clean, spacious and have everything you need even with covid everything is sanitized and cleaned to a very high standard! If your lucky enough like we were you have your own balcony which boasts BEAUTIFUL views of valleys, hills and the coast line! Food and drinks is fantastic and have a wide variety of everything, all food is healthy! There’s plenty to do and we enjoyed walking through the village sightseeing and walking to Woolacombe Bay Beach and the high street! My photos don’t do this place justice it’s just gorgeous! I can’t wait to return very soon!

Having thoroughly enjoyed our first visit, the whole family returned again for another meal. 3 courses once more & they certainly didn't disappoint.
Such a great menu, truly delicious food in a beautiful setting. The desserts are to die for, but that must not take anything away from the starters and mains, they have paid attention to every detail.
Unique, elegant, modern light decor. (Don't forget to check out the hilarious set of Ladybird Books on the fireplace! )
A lovely relaxed atmosphere, with great hosts and friendly, welcoming staff.
Hope we manage another holiday back in Devon as this is a definite destination to aim for a repeat visit.

Just arrived home after our 2nd visit to The smugglers. Myself and my 2 children were very well looked after. Can't fault the accommodation, the breakfast is always lovely and Staceys walnut cheesecake with salted caramel ice cream is ridiculously good. Top marks all around.

Fabulous boutique B&Q superbly run by the infectious Will and Stacey (with great support from Wills mum & dad).
Stacey’s cakes biscuits and pastry’s are also to die for with the best breakfast anywhere.
We will be back next year for the 3rd team!

This is a gem of a place; warm & friendly hosts, at a peaceful spot in Mortehoe, with the hustle and bustle in easy reach. Gorgeous stylish interiors and bright spacious rooms. Beautiful place to stay.

Had the most beautiful of stays at the Smugglers Rest. Both Will and Stacey gave the friendliest of welcomes and made our stay a most enjoyable and comfortable one. A little treasure of a find in the heart of Mortehoe.

Lovely place, we only popped in for coffee but tempted to go back and stay overnight.

Had a great stay at The Smugglers Rest — great location, breakfast and room, and super friendly service too! Will definitely be returning next time we need to escape for some R&R on the North Devon coast. Highly recommend.

This our second stay at the Smugglers Rest. The rooms are lovely and the Will and Stacey are very welcoming the breakfast is great. We stayed in Exmoor which is on the second floor with a sofa and a very modern large shower. Location is great as you are close to the pubs but without being disturbed by them. Have already booked for next year.

Very good accommodation in front bedroom. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful proprietors. Good breakfast. Will definitely come again. Excellent.

Just a quick review of Miss Fea's Tea Room… Excellent cream tea which my wife loved. Ample tea, fresh scones and very nice jam. Not being a fan of cream teas, I had a sausage roll and a bottle of North Coast Voodoo IPA, brewed locally in Combe Martin. The beer was fantastic! We sat outside on the decking and it was fairly cool despite being rather a hot day. Highly recommended!

Spent 2 nights at the smugglers rest with my partner. We had a lovely time, we didn’t want to leave! Will and Stacey were very welcoming, they made a lovely breakfast. We upgraded our room as there was availability to do so, we stayed in the Hartland room which was amazing! We will definitely be coming back and are recommending the Smugglers rest to all of ours friends.

Stayed for two nights & wish we stayed longer! The owners Will & Stacey were very friendly and will make you feel welcome. The rooms were perfect, complete with great views & the breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend to anyone & we will be staying again!

Visited the Smugglers Rest in 2017, we had a real friendly experience where me and my son was made more than welcome needless to say we have booked again for this year and can highly recommend it.

The rooms have just been redone. Wow. Stunning place to stay, great location and the cafe downstairs does the best ever breakfast and coffee. Worth visiting to Woolacombe/Mortehoe just for this place!

Lovely place, fabulous rooms, delicious cream tea and breakfast. Even sorted a sunny coast path walk. Can't recommend more highly!

Good coffee the homemade cakes and food are equally excellent high recommend a visit if your in the area.

My favourite place in Mortehoe for some coffee/food/alcohols! Lovely space, good books scattered around and very nice bathrooms. I would highly recommend for anyone in and around Mortehoe. I've never sat outside but have heard it had a great outdoors. Hope the weather is good enough next time I visit!

Fastastic food! We went in for a lunch time sandwich and the choice of bread and fillings were excellent. Not only that but the quality of the drinks were second to none. It goes without saying that we will be back! Thanks for you hospitality!

What a lovely place to stay and a lovely couple who run it! Will and Stacey were so accommodating to me and my Son Dexter. They really made us feel extra special and looked after. This place is newly decorated and has a lovely fresh, bright and airy feel. Spotless, and the towels are super soft and the beds were so comfy, we slept very well. I would highly recommend staying here. The breakfast is very delicious too, a choice of cooked, cereals, and croissants. The cakes and scones are homemade too! A faultless B&B. Lovely relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, clean rooms, great decor in lounge/breakfasts area and a very good cooked breakfast with a nice range of quality cereals, toast and fresh croissants. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic place. After camping and realising that it was going to rain for two days, my other half booked this. The owners are lovely, very friendly and accommodating. We arrived well before check in and still were allowed to have access to our room. The family room we were given was huge! Lovely toiletries and a very hot bath & shower. The breakfast was absolutely yummy. Fresh, locally sourced good food. Lots of cereal, fruit, juices and croissants to have while the breakfast is being cooked. There's no rush to eat which is lovely. The overall feel of the place is chilled out. Will gave us some advice on what to do locally when it was wet. He took the time to chat to us and our children. I just cannot praise this place enough! I will certainly recommend and hopefully visit again.

Had a great week here, great food, friendly staff and a cracking breakfast. George is a lovely dog our son adored him. Thanks to all who made our stay memorable.

Our experience couldn't be more different to Tim. Just got back from Mortehoe camping August 2011 and we went to the Smugglers twice and had a lovely experience. Went with my wife and 7yr old daughter. Very friendly, food was great, had warm chicken/pancetta salad, my wife had Rump Steak and my daughter had (home cooked) ham egg and chips. Lovely food. The juke box had some great music (not too loud) and we ended up staying there for the evening playing cards. Added experience was having our table next to "Budge" the parrot — entertaining us all. Lovely family friendly pub.

Went on camping trip in August 2010 with my girlfriend and passed the smugglers a few times and thought it looked a good spot for a drink and some food. Firstly the atmosphere was doom and gloom, but the pub was quite so didn't mind really. Ordered some shell on prawns to share, they came in a dirty pint glass and the prawns were covered in their own eggs. Apparently it wasn't their eggs just part of their body (my marine biology degree was clearly a waste of time). The burger which is always the safest bet was poor to say the least. Would have got better from a burger van at 3am. Just walk the 5min further down the road to the Chichester Arms. Warm, friendly and good food.
