Enjoyed a superb lunch today — the Warm Winter Salad with roasted beetroot, goats cheese and extremely tasty hazelnuts was excellent!

Just spent my 50th birthday there the food is amazing and the staff are are so friendly and helpful and made the weekend so special for me 😍would deffo recommend this amazing country pub.

Found the pub towards the end of a wet walk with 3 young children & dog. Lovely decor, friendly staff & the meals looked lovely. Would certainly recommend this pub and they give a great deal on Dinner, Bed & Breakfast.

2nd time we have stayed, Liam the manager is excellent nothing is to much trouble for him and always looks after us if anything is needed, nothing is too much trouble for him, the food is outstanding and has a very cosy atmosphere booked again for November.

Went for Sunday Lunch on Bank Holiday Sunday. Vegetables were undercooked and hard, food wasn’t hot. Too busy all at once! Very much quantity rather than quality. Disappointing experience.

It's a great base if you're doing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks as we did last time, but also just for some down time and enjoying the amazing beauty of the area.

Dog friendly which is main thing for us. Called in after lovely dog walk and staff very friendly. We had few drinks then lamb dinner. Lovely food, lovely pub, nice atmosphere x.

We had a fab visit as always, food & drink fantastic! Very dog friendly, Luna is always very comfortable & enjoys a free biscuit or two! We were there for quiz night & enjoyed the complimentary chicken wings for taking part! Staff are always great, Very friendly & knowledgeable. We will be back soon.

Sublime Christmas Dinner! Booked a month in advance and got a table for Christmas eve. The turkey dinner was simply excellent! The meat was juicy and succulent, the veg was plentiful and delicious. My son's food was 5 minutes behind the rest of our meals and as a way of an apology (even though we hadn't said anything) they gave our 3 kids free ice cream! The pub itself has been refurbished and it looks fantastic. All the old wood has been sanded and looks stunning. The waitress was very friendly and spot on, no long waits and plenty of popping over to see if we needed anything else. Brilliant experience all round, we are definitely going back.

We stayed at a campsite down the road and ate there on Friday and Saturday evenings. Service was good and the food lovely on both occasions. Good selection of real ales as well On the Saturday a lovely gentleman entertained our kids with magic tricks! Would recommend!

Fantastic little gem of a pub, called in on our way back from Windermere. Very friendly welcome and great choice of beers & gins. Sat in the lovely garden, wish we could have stayed longer and eaten. Will certainly be back and thoroughly recommend a visit.

This is a lovely pub come hotel. We stayed here for the weekend when doing the Y3P, it's in a perfect location for this. The staff are all really friendly, especially the manager where nothing seemed too much trouble for him (including helping me courier back a fridge I left there! ). The food in the pub is really fantastic and good value for money and they have a fabulous range of ales and a mind boggling collection of gin (I didn't count them but the menu was several pages long! ). The rooms are comfortable and perfectly serviceable, though could probably do with a bit of updating. The hairdryer in the room was, however, the best hairdryer I've ever had in a hotel! My only slight moan, and it is really slight, was the size of the tea cups in the room, they're tiny! Anyway, I thoroughly recommend this place, stunning scenery too.

Very nice pub good choice of food and excellent quality. Also have 56 different choices of gins! They have local entertainment most weekends very friendly and helpful staff.

Flat iron steak not too good. Rather too thick and really not easily eaten! My fault! The service staff did explain about flat iron though. Service was absolutely faultless. The rest of my food was cooked to perfection. Would have given 5 but it was the chewyness! new word? Of the flat iron steak.

9 of us went and all had delicious food sat outside in the sunshine, it was no problem to take my dog inside or out and the menu was interesting. I also had a birthday raspberry ripple ice cream gjn and tonic with a big sparkler lovely few hours and great hospitality.

I had a pleasant overnight stay during a recent business trip to Ingleton. I was given room number one which looks out onto the lovely St Oswald's church. My room was clean and comfortable with a decent sized en suite bathroom with good quality toiletries. I really liked the large heavy white bath towels, just like the ones you have in the Hilton or somewhere similar. In the morning we had a superb full English breakfast and returned for what was to be a really nice lunch. I would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area. Their beer is excellent and very reasonably priced too.

Was camping nearby so strolled over for a drink was lovely inside and met with a smile. Nice couple pints will return with the wife next time has had a large selection of gin and the food looked very good.

What an absolute gem of a pub in beautiful surroundings! The food was delicious and they have an extensive selection of gin to enjoy. The staff are friendly and the service was great. We will definitely be returning soon and would highly recommend others do too. Thank you.

Visited for the 1st time the Marton Arms for Sunday Lunch with our North Yorkshire Friends. The welcome, service and food was excellent. The Pub has a lovely cosy atmosphere and is furnished very tastefully. The Gin Menu and Desserts are also to recommend. We shall certainty revisit and recommend the Martin Arms.

Great food 2nd to none. With an excellent assortment of Gin's. Good atmosphere with some of the best service I've had in years.

Stopped for a quick bit of lunch. The place has recently been refurbished to a high standard. The food — a bacon and cheeseburger — was tasty and well presented. It's lovely pub with a good range of beers. Great for a base for walks in the dales.

Called in for lunch. Was mid week and was quiet when we arrived. Did start filling up though. Has been refurbished downstairs last June. The bedrooms (11 in total) are to be updated later. Modern feel to the bar. Wood burner lit. Bar staff friendly. Menu had a small choice. I chose fish and chips which was a good portion size. Husband chose lamb hot pot and he was not disappointed. They have a range of 56 gins on offer. Small beer garden to the side. Quiz night weekly and live music advertised.

Gorgeous food. It was a shame we had to prompt for menus and orders being taken. It's definitely worth going for the quality of food though.

Had a pleasure of having dinner twice and breakfast once at this pub. On all occasions they excelled at serving delicious meals. I can highly recommend steak and burgers at this place. The steak that I had was perfectly done as specified and the rest was to match. Would definitely recommend their desserts as well with gooseberry sorbet and triple chocolate ice-cream being outstanding. I cannot praise the food and the service at this place enough. It is dog friendly. Caters for weddings. Booking recommended.

Just been in for a beer, nice enough pub, good views. Unfortunately when we we walking away from the pub, we were wrongly accused by the owner of not clearing up after our dog. We had actually infomed the bar staff as we entered about this problem, but things still had not cleaned up when we left. Why not simply ask us if we were responsible, rather than accuse? Not nice!

We loved this place, great food, great beer, 38 different gins, really good and friendly staff. Felt very welcome. Also it is dog friendly with a little treat for them at the bar.

Called in for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. I had tea infused duck wth a citrus style salad and a roast beef dinner both very nice indeed. Top marks for the gravy.
My wife had goats cheese bonbons and a steak and ale pie wich she demolished. A very good selection of ales and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely return next time we are in the area, hopefully on a Sunday so I can have another one of those lovely dinners. …

Great food, varied menu. We went two nights running as the food was so good. They squeezed us in on the first night despite being rammed as we had no reservation. Very grateful as we'd had a hideous 9 hour journey. Highly recommended.

After years of ups and downs, and now privately owned 4 of us came back to give it a try. 2 ordered rib eye steak meals which were bob on. One ordered hake. Tiny portion on a blob of mash but tasty. Hubby went for Sunday roast "special"… no beef left. Got turkey roast. All piled up jenga style, hours old roast spuds, cremated Yorkshire pud… meh… but he was starving. Didnt bother with puds. Asked for Irish coffee with other coffees after meal but were told by inexperienced staff, after she had gone to find out, "we don't have the ingredients for that here". So, a pub with Irish whiskey, coffee and cream couldn't figure that one out? Always have loved location. Brilliant renovation job, all looks sleek and inviting… but you need to up your game in other departments.

This place recently re opened in June according to the locals and by all accounts is great. Prices are really good with a pint of delicious local cider for only £3.30. Friendly staff and lovely local ice cream for the kids. We haven't eaten here yet but the menu looks good (although one man did mention the portions where small however after talking to him for a while his made me realise his options might be somewhat suspect).

Called in for a quick meal. Obviously just been refurbished and under new management. Didn't seem to have any atmosphere. Waited an hour and a half for food to start serving. Turned quite a few people away for food as they had a large party booked in. Unfortunately we felt that we were an inconvenience and a little rushed no was everything ok or did we want anything else. Seems to be trying to be one of these gastro pubs around at the moment with prices & portion sizes to match. A shame really.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I understand that they've had a change of management which has lead to a few issues. Which is par for the course really. We had a really comfortable stay — we were late for dinner as we were completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge despite this they still offered us a meal and were very accommodating. The rooms were great, really comfortable beds, peaceful location. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you so much!

The Marton Arms is on the up. Really nice food well priced. An excellent choice of beers all set in a wonderful old building. A pub full of character in a beautiful location.

Don't go here ever! Bad service & even worse food! They can't even heat there chips up correctly! Yes chips served on your plate as cold as if they'd come straight out of the fridge! Absolutely rubbish!

Really enjoyed out too short stay here. Very friendly welcome, clean comfortable room and lovely breakfast. Will definitely come again and next time eat as well!

Visited here on Bank Holiday Monday. We have already planned our next visit — stunning food with gorgeous surroundings. I had the Steak n Ale pie which was simply amazing! Possibly one of the best I've ever had. My partner had the steak sandwich which was also of very quality. Can't wait for next visit. Thanks.

Ate here after a fantastic day. Safe to say it was a major let down! Food was poor and expensive came out wrong the first time then cold, 2 others in the group got their food 45mins later also cold (wasn't busy only 2 other groups eating). Very poor customer service to top it off, avoid at all costs.

Ate there 11 May 2012 and our 2 meals were excellent in all respects. Have eaten there under previous two owners/landlords and the food now is very much better. Other reviewer ate there just two weeks after new people took over so they ate during settling in period. We will definitely eat there again because we have a caravan a couple of miles away.

Food was average but expensive and some of the orders went wrong. Mainly due to how busy it was.
