Stayed here with my husband for our anniversary a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful place, we really enjoyed our stay.
Hosts were very welcoming and informative of places to eat, drink and visit. Our room was beautiful and we were able to order our breakfast to be brought to our room which was fantastic!
Location is brilliant as you have the option of a quieter walk into Windermere or a little busier if you go into Bowness.
Can’t recommend this place enough. We can’t wait to return.

Made to feel welcome by both Neil and Beverley. The room itself was excellent. Breakfasts were superb. Wonderful location and lots of things to see. Highly Recommend.

Me and my partner stayed at The Coppice last weekend. We stayed in room number 10 and it was lovely. The room had lovely decor and was so clean and tidy. The owners made us feel so welcome as soon as we arrived and gave us a list of activities we could do while we were there. Breakfast was beautiful with plenty selection. We would definitely recommend The Coppice if you are going to the Lakes. We will be back! Thank you for a lovely stay :)

Excellent location stay for three nights service was excellent a good breakfast to set you for the day. Room nice and clean. A nice welcome when you arrive excellent host. Would recommend to family and friends. And will be back.

We stayed at the coppice on the 10th July for two nights and had a lovely stay. Very clean room and spot on breakfast in an ideal area in the middle of everything. 10/10 Chris and menna Owen.

Room was a bit outdated and small, but the hosts were super friendly and informative, they really made out weekend break fantastic with all their local knowledge.

Had a fab stay here this week. Location is great, hosts were excellent, breakfasts tasty and rooms comfy. Great value for money. Decent bars nearby and a fairly short walk into bowness and the lake, with the smaller town of windermere just 5 minutes away.

Very cozy and comfortable house. The hosts were very helpful in guiding us to the best restaurants and views! If You have chance — stay here! Totally wanna come back!

The coppice was easy to find on the main road between windermere & bowness. Friendly owners, modern spacious clean rooms and a fabulous fresh breakfast all at a very reasonable room rate. Would recommend and would go back again.

Great location, 5 minute stroll to windermere and around 10-15 minutes to bowness. Friendly owners, comfortable, clean nice rooms. We had a attic room with bath in the room, plus ensuite shower room, Lovely breakfast, and parking which is also a bonus. Would definitely recommend this guest house.

We had a lovely stay here in march 18. Location was great, owners were really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfast was amazing, and made with such good quality ingredients. The rooms were clean and modern. Ours featured a king size bed, lovely en-suite, velux windows, and a huge freestanding bath in the bedroom. Would really recommend staying here, we had a great time. There was also good car parking off street. We would definitely go back!

Had the pleasure of staying at the coppice for five nights from 29/8/17. It was amazing our hosts bev and neil made us so welcome couldnt do enough for us. The rooms are immaculate so clean and modern. Great location only a 15 minute stroll into bowness and the ferry terminal. Also its only a ten min walk from windermere train station.

A lovely warm welcome from the owner on arrival and plenty of helpful suggestions from her regarding places to eat and drink in Windermere and Bowness. I had asked in advance if I could drop my bags off in the morning but the owners went one better and I was able to access my room as it had already been cleaned. The room itself was spotless and beautifully decorated. The guest house is handily placed a stone's throw from Windermere and a 10-15 minute walk from Bowness.

Really enjoying our stay at the coppice, our room is very elegant and homely and very clean, with a beautiful view. A lovely family run business, we have been made to feel very welcome by Beverly and Neil. Beverly also gave us lots of info when we arrived (different places to eat and places to visit). The guest house is situated in a perfect spot, all the local shops and eateries within waking distance. We would recommend the coppice to anyone! Thankyou for a lovely stay, Emily and phil x.

It was amazing. The rooms are wonderful & clean, was a fantastic surprise for my boyfriends birthday weekend.

A clean place to stay. Breakfast, really Good. If staying for one night, Excellent. If staying for more, like 3-4 nights, Room service awful. Room will not be serviced daily, which means a messy place, or do it urself. Something u don't expect to do on a holiday. Excellent for elderly couples to stay. Young couples, stay away, 'coz Barbara is very polite and sweet and welcoming for the elderly gentry. Not very interactive with the youngsters. Not recommending in our circle. Sorry Barbara, but it was not a good experience et all. Booked after reading the reviews, but found below what we expected.

What a fabulous find this gorgeous B and B was. We stayed here, my sister and I, in April, and absolutely loved it. The beautiful decor, the excellent service from Chris and Barbara, the lifts to and from the station and the decanter of sherry in our room to say 'welcome' — were all such a joy for we two sisters. And the breakfasts — oh, the breakfasts! — in the tastefully decorated dining room with a view of the superb gardens — were amazing. There was such a magnificent array of fruits, jams, honey, cereals — and then there was the English breakfast, cooked to order. You did us proud, Chris and Barbara. Thank you. And sorry I didn't review you earlier — but I only just found this site when I was looking for a Coppice link to post on an article I'm writing about the area of Windermere, Ambleside etc.

Lovely rooms with enormous breakfast. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Coppice for a few days during April. Chris and Barbara made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean and tidy;all the usual mod cons of course, but a little decanter of sherry was a lovely unexpected touch. The breakfast is delicious, with a great choice of hot and cold food;dinner is available if you book it earlier that day — we tried it one night and everything was cooked to perfection! The Coppice is an easy walk into Windermere village and about 15 mins walk down to the lake at Bowness;luckily the weather was quite reasonable during our stay so we tended to walk everywhere, but there were frequent buses if you don't have a car. All in all, we would recommend The Coppice to anyone and we certainly hope to see Chris and Barbara again next year.
