Absolutely delightful place to stay. Meticulously clean. Great value and the service from the hosts is top class. Location is ideal with so much to see and do in the area.

Been to the lakes a few times and this is by far the loveliest place we’ve stayed ☺️ Beautiful room, the attention to detail was so appreciated and I’ve no words for the breakfast I’m just gutted we can’t have it every day at home! Such a fab 2 night stay here. Gorgeous room and dog friendly so a winner for us, the breakfast was fab they give you so much choice and big portions, we would return over and over again. Also they left me a birthday card in our room what a special touch!

Just got home after a wonderful 6 night stay. My dog Chester and I were made very welcome and Chester soon became friends with George (Jenny and Dave's dog). Quiet location yet just a few minutes walk to the shops, restaurants and of course the lake. Highly recommended and I can't wait to go back.

Just came back from a wonderful weekend in Bowness and 2 nights at Puddle Duck — everything about the place is wonderful — from the quirky decor to the amazing breakfasts!
Anybody wanting to stay here will not be disappointed, and you are made very welcome from David, Jenny and of course George!

This was our first experience in the Lake District and we arrived at Elim House on the May Day bank holiday (May 7th). We used our sat nav and it took us right to the back of the building where the owner had kindly created space to enable us park our car. We were greeted by both Mark and Grace, the owners and shown to our room. Our room was extremely clean and tidy. The owners provided lovely biscuits and a choice of tea and coffee. The room looked and smelled new and the owner confirmed that they had recently refurbished the majority rooms in the hotel. We wandered around Windermere and tried a local place that had been recommended by the hosts. The next day we went down for breakfast and was greeted by Mark who cooked our breakfast to perfection. Grace was her lovely self and served us bottomless teas with a smile. The next couple of days were exactly the same with such great service. There wasn't anything either of them weren't willing to do to ensure our stay was a pleasant one. The last night we went to the local Thai restaurant, as per Mark's recommendations. Prior to us leaving, it started raining heavily and Mark offered to lend us his umbrella. It is this, and a number of other reasons why I and my husband would not hesitate to return to the Lake District and Elim house in particular! Thank you so much for making our stay so pleasant!

Friendly owners, clean comfortable rooms an beds, great breakfast, fab location would recommend.

The only fault I have is being on the 2nd floor. But that is because we live in a bungalow. Very clean guest house and Mark was very helpful.

Stayed at elim house for 6 nights Mark and Grace were excellent hosts the room was spotless and the bathroom was very clean the breakfast was delicious and Mark and Grace were very friendly we have booked to go back again in August would highly recommend it to family and friends shaun and angela wike.

It's a lovely cosy place and the couple that ran it were very helpful and friendly. The room was cosy and well laid out and nice and bright. It is a short walking distance from the shops and restaurants and the breakfast restaurant and pub they recommended were spot on. I would have given them a higher rating if they had served breakfast but they are having work done in the kitchen at the moment.

We weren't really there long enough to comment but good location, friendy staff and clean functional room.

Elim Lodge was a very friendly and well presented place to stay. The morning service at breakfast was excellent and the breakfast itself was very well presented. The lodge itself is situated close enough to the lake to make the short walk their enjoyable and not a pain. The rooms had everything I needed for my stay to be very comfortable. I will be returning here. Value for money was definitely given. My only regret was that I didn't book for a longer stay.

Elim Lodge is a cosy little B&B not far from the centre of Bowness. Upon arrival, we parked in one of the available guest spaces and were given a warm welcome at the door. We stayed in room 6, which was on the top floor and had a lovely view from the window. As a tall man, I was a little worried by the warning of low ceilings and exposed beams but there was plenty of headroom to stand up throughout the room, including in the bathroom. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

BRILLIANT! We had an excellent time! Room was clean fresh and very pretty! Food was brilliant the service was excellent and we felt right at home straight away! The owners are lovely we'll def go back! It was first class! Thank you so much! 5* all the way! :)
