Lovely stay accommodation really good, meal in restaurant absolutely delicious
One point you may want to consider. In the wardrobe there was a high chair and travel cot although I am usually more of a “deal with It”type of person I did feel this could prove insensitive and upsetting for some people.

Excellent stay at good quality accommodation. Friendly staff and very attentive. Special shout out to Charlotte in the restaurant who made every effort to make our visits a good one.

Just had a 3 night stay in Troutbeck cottage and could not recommend enough! From booking to leaving the staff were helpful and on hand. The cottage itself is absolutely spotless and has everything you would need! The bar and restaurant was another gem — food amazing, service quick and super friendly and the setting is wonderful. Short distance to many great days out in the Lakes. The putting green and play pro on your doorstep are an added bonus. Can’t wait to return.

Great place to get away from it all. The accommodation is great. The facilities are good. The menu is limited but the quality is very good. The easy access to the north lakes, do as much or as little as you want, you can have it your way.

Had a great week, lovely lodge, nice clubhouse bar and restaurant. Lovely staff too!

We have just returned home after a lovely 2 night break at Troutbeck Cottage (Whitbarrow Village)
The cottage is spacious, clean & the little added extras are great — biscuits, Tassimo pods, jams & the soaps in the bathrooms smell AMAZING!
The superking size bed in the main bedroom is SO comfy!
The holiday park is lovely & quiet.
A good location inbetween both Pooley Bridge & Keswick.
We enjoyed a couple of meals in Keswick (Casa Bella was lovely) & a few nice walks near Ullswater too (Hallin Fell was fab!

A beautiful village peaceful but plenty to keep u busy swimming pool / bar. Staff very friendly and helpful would recommend a visit here.

Regular visitor. Great location with easy access. Very friendly helpful staff. Lodges are always clean and well presented. Food is always good and decently priced.

Lovely apartment with everything you need. Stunning views from our balcony. Eden bar and restaurant on site is a great added bonus. Cant wait to come again. Love this place.

Just arrived and checked into our accommodation, lovely greeting on arrival, our a accommodation was not available as we were early we welcomed a drink on the bar balcony enjoying the fabulous view, a member of the reception staff came and found us to give us our keys which was much appreciated. Lots of information available with attractions nearby, the greeting at check in couldn’t have been more welcoming and easy, we are looking forward to a meal in the lovely restaurant this evening.

Fantastic apartment, spacious and homely, Reception very helpful and the food in the restaurant is superb, Ducks are very friendly lol.

Had a lodge for the week great family friendly environment on the north of the lakes. Clean tidy and everything you could want.

Bit out of the way, no thing around here for miles which is disappointing. Reception staff not very welcoming but bar/restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly. Jacuzzi broken and reception said would’nt be fixed over weekend even though another quest said it hadn’t worked all week! Food good value but basic. Would not return.

Lovely, comfy accommodation, very pretty, well kept surroundings. The staff were, without exception, friendly and helpful. One very small suggestion — the food in the restaurant was lovely but a very limited menu. Would it be possible to extend the selection and maybe daily specials?

Beautiful surroundings close to keswick for shopping. Fabulous farm shop very close.

Brilliant self — catering suite in accessible but beautiful location!

Lovely quiet getaway hotel in purpose built holiday village. Great breakfast, nice restaurant and staff. No air conditioning in our suite though and plagued with flies if we opened the windows made sleeping uncomfortable. Old fashioned Wi-Fi system — 2 codes given for 2 people; that sorted our phones, but wouldnt allow the 3rd device… our laptop! Some of the suite looking a bit tatty though, and a bit pricey for what you get. Overall good, and we may well return one day.

Whitbarrow. Great location and wildlife. Hugely ruined by the infestation of flies. 4 days spent here in lovely weather and unfortunately had to keep windows & doors closed most of time. At night it was too warm to do so, which meant no sleep due to flies buzzing around our heads all night. Soon realised we were not the only ones having this problem. Food in the restaurant poor. Not a la carte, more like 'pub grub'
Really disappointed and going home extremely tired.

Stayed in the Ullswater Suite, was absolutely fabulous! Really spacious room with useful kitchenette that had everything, very large bathroom and nice seating area outside the room. The decor is really nice and everything was spotlessly clean on arrival. Would have preferred housekeeping to do a more thorough clean of bathroom on the second day of our stay. I didn't find the bed hugely comfortable. It's very well located, near Keswick and Ullswater. Loads to do in hotel aswell, swimming pool, pool table, table tennis, crazy and mini golf all for free. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Had lunch in way to Penrith, very tasty with fantastic views.

Stayed in the adults only rooms, nice room with lovely views and a good cooked breakfast was included in the breakfast supplement.

Great location and great rooms to stay in while doing the Keswick to Barrow walk.

Really enjoyed our short break here. Staff were very friendly & helpful with a great sense of humour. Room in hotel was great with everything one needed. Very clean with great facilities. Nice restaurant with good food, drinks and excellent breakfast. Evening entertainment was also enjoyable with a resident singing artist. No real negatives except we found that later in the evening their were young children around in the restaurant which made relaxing after a meal a little difficult. Maybe a time curfew on age could be implemented? (Difficult one I know. ) More swimming times for adults only would have been good. Thanks for a great time. We've added a photo of the resident ducks who paid us a visit which added a nice touch to our stay. The Whitbarrow is also a good base for visiting many of the northern fells. We had excellent weather and managed some great walks and climbs. What more could you want in the superb lake district!

Friendly staff that keep the whole village cozy, homely, and comfortable in a great scenic location.

Our room was very nice with great views, has a pool and sauna. With a great place ot eat on site.

Shh don't tell anyone else it's a Gem. Beautiful setting with good food good service & the rooms are outstanding The facilities 2nd to none. Go on spend a bit of cash spoil that special person.

Clean, good facilities and really friendly staff. Nice place for families and couples. Restaurant has a good menu and they were able to accomodate our dietry requirements.

The food is amazing in the Restaurant and the service is Also brilliant. Its my 2nd time visiting and I will be back again.

It was a long drive from Portsmouth but when we got there it soon became worth every mile. Spent xmas of 2017 there. Most chilled and relaxed xmas to date. Loved it.

Great location for easy access to the north of the lake District. Modern dining room, and room. Swimming pool and hot tub (Inside). Room very clean and spacious, big bathroom. Would recommend and return.

Superb, spacious rooms, microwave large fridge iron +board dishwasher! Pots pans cafertei big bathroom, TV. Veranda, double wardrobe, couch to watch telly, Spa pool, good size. Bar, +restaurant. Terrific Views. Friendly staff. A couple of miles off the A66. Which may or may not suit, I liked it. No complaints at all.

Treat yourself and book a week here, great base for your Lakes adventure. Facilities are 1st class and the staff cannot do enough for your. Food is great, bar is well stocked at pub prices, entertainment Saturday and Wednesday nights :)

Great place for a family holiday and a great base to explore the Lakes. The self catering cottages are well equipped and comfortable. Lots of activities for our kids to do on site. They loved golf frisbee! We enjoyed using the pool after days out walking. The Eden restaurant is great with super service and lovely food. Overall a great family holiday. We will be back!

We have just come home from a week stay at whitbarrow. We loved it, my sister and brother in law was with us all week and our friends just for 3days. Our house on Troutbeck was brilliant, we could not fault it at all. It was only a 2 mins walk to the bar past the duck pond where we saw a mummy duck with 10 ducklings but as we left on Saturday we noticed she only had 2 left. The site is very clean, there is also a laundry room on site which is not far from the duck pond. You cannot park outside your houses as there is a big car park 2mins walk away, which was not a problem as Mike would drop us off outside the house and then he parked the car afterwards. We will be back here as it's so quiet and peaceful. Again thank you for a lovely stay.

This place is like a small villege, with a nice hotel and a few big modern houses that can be rented anytime. It has a big parking, unfortunately without CCTV camera services. The hotel has spacious and modern rooms with a nice kitchen and balcony, plus a big enough pool. Breakfast should be more various ;) Recommend!

Stayed in the fell view suite: The bed was really comfortable and we both slept very well every night. The room is spacious and the kitchen is adequate for the time we were here, although we ate in the restaurant every night. The food is much more than we expected and the restaurant has a really nice feel to it. Make sure you book a table as it gets very busy! The hotel is also close enough to all the amenities that aren't already provided and nothing is more than 20 minutes away. We will definitely be coming back as it is well worth the money!

Stayed in one of the Ullswater suites in the hotel and could not recommend this place enough. Absolutely fantastic. No complaints whatsoever. Only wee thing I would say is that the cooked breakfast is not up to scratch or value for money. A minor detail for what is otherwise a first class facility. Can't wait to go back. Superb.

We stayed in the suite, very spacious, comfortable and clean. This hotel is located in the countryside, isolated from the rest of the world, but they are many activities available. Inside there is a restaurant serving tasty and appetizing dishes. Recommended!

Amazing experience. Breathtaking views and great location. Would highly recommend.

Spacious Cottage. Equipment (cutlery etc. ) not more than necessary. Hotel has a very clean pool but in peak season much too small. Generally nice location but only one access on a point that is farthest away from the next, cosy pub (forces you to stay in the quite uncomfortable Hotel Bar). However good Entertainment. Had to leave the cottgae on our last night due to unbearable sewage smell. Staff was friendly and willing to help (we got a hotel room instead), but no further compensation for our inconveniences (no meal or free drink, not even a short term reservation in the restaurant).

Brilliant quiet location. All amenities you need, staff friendly and service superb. Accommodation has everything you need and more besides. Have stayed before and certainly will again. Thanks seasons.
