The Quirky Quarry Campground

Just had a great 2 night stay at this lovely B&B. Stayed in the garden room, very well appointed with all amenities one would expect, tea/coffee making facilities, ensuite etc. Breakfast was delicious, lots of options for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. Fi and Dave were welcoming friendly hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Woukd definitely stay here again.

What a really genuine and lovely couple Dave & Fi, welcoming and warm. We had two nights in the Snug, the smallest of their rooms but easily big enough for two and everything was immaculate, spotlessly clean and super comfortable. The choice of breakfast is super from vegan to full english and the quality of each absolutely great. The views are amazing and the garden impressive. For those on foot its c. 1mile walk to the town with a nice off road track behind the quarry and through the woods. Fantastic!

Really enjoyed our stay in the Shepherds Hut at The Quirky Quarry! Friendly and helpful hosts. Warm, clean & comfortable hut to stay in with everything you need. Lovely location. Fantastic breakfast. Loved the private area (very useful when you have a dog) with a fire pit & BBQ. Will recommend.

If you're looking for somewhere to get away from it all but not too rural, this is the place. Beautifully refurbished, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean B&B, with amazing views of the countryside.
David and Fiona welcomed us with friendly smiles, saw to our every need, extremely helpful and Fiona cooked the most amazingly, tasty breakfast, with fresh, local produce.
We stayed in the Garden room with our pooch for the first night, which had it's own seating area outside and little pond, where the ducks merrily came to play. The large bed was comfortable and the room beautifully decorated.
Our second night was a spot of luxury glamping, in the Shepherds Hut and what a fantastic time we had. The setting is gorgeous, hidden away in the garden, with amazing views far beyond. Again, spotlessly clean, beautifully refurbished, with a large comfortable bed, sink, utensils, fridge, log burner (not that we needed it, as theres a fire pit with some logs provided, for summer nights) and our own garden and bbq.
Glamping with a deliciously cooked breakfast, is just perfect.
Overall we had an amazing three days and would most definitely recommend, if you're looking for somewhere scenic, quiet, spotlessly clean, with friendly hosts, who ensure you have the best possible stay.

An isolated property, which is situated on a quiet road deep in the heart of the countryside with lovely views from the rooms. The owners are very welcoming and go to some lengths to ensure satisfaction. Breakfast was excellent and a highlight of the stay. The rooms are tidy and very adequate for an overnight stay, but storage could be an issue for longer stays. Parking is most convenient on the road, though off-road is also available. The countryside around is very scenic and there are nice walks from the property itself. We should certainly return if our travels were to take us this way again in the future.
