This Inn is like a Travelodge; however, Travelodge is a lot cleaner. The view is wonderful! Staff are friendly. There is a Costa and McDonald's. Bathroom has shower gel and hand wash gel. Small hair dryer and fan in room. Fan is useless for hot weather as it's very weak. The price should be less for what you get.

This hotel is getting old and tired and will need some repairs and updates. The bathroom loo came off the wall and made a terrible mess when I flushed the cistern. We finally got given a new room thanks to the wonderful staff especially the lady cleaner named Doinna. Our room had a nice view of the lake and there is a McDonald's next door.

Nice view of a lake. Room OK, a little worn. Staff nice and a voucher system that saves you 25% on food etc in services. Remember this is a service station, not holiday destination. Unless you like that sort of thing…

Convenient stop over. Comfortable beds. Some rooms have fabulous lake view. Lovely walk around the lake. Dog friendly.

It's a nice place for stops. At the Days inn, they could've done better with a microwave inside the building for customers.

We stopped here on a short break. It, took some finding in the dark due to our sat nav, We were delighted with our room and breakfast in the morning, but not before we managed to catch the mist over the lake! It was a beautiful morning I would recommend stopping here as "value for money"

Stayed there on our way to Scotland. Lovely and welcoming staff and the dogs were welcome too.

It's a motor way services. Best thing about this place is the views over the reservoirs. Food is probably 1 step above the typical MWay services, but the prices are not!

Dated… no bar. No restaurant. You're offered a £10 McDonald's voucher for £7.50 to use for breakfast. Nice view of the lake if you get an odd numbered room.

It is ok for an overnight dont think I would stay again tho to noisey for me.

Rooms are filthy, our 18 month old little boy kept finding used cigarette ends in our room. Mould all around the bath and shower, rooms need all new furniture and carpets. On the plus side the receptionist was great.

Very comfortable beds, surprisingly quiet location for a service station. Lovely views out the back. Only service restaurants for breakfast but buy the deal from hotel and save money.

Due to breakdown after Christmas, stranded for several hours at Killington with two dogs. It was freezing that day. Shown exceptional kindness by reception staff, who allowed us to warm up in a decommissioned room. Thank you, This level level of kindness to strangers is unusual and makes the accommodation worth all of the star ratings available.

Best view I've ever had from a budget hotel! Family room good size. Basic accommodation. Hard beds. Slightly tired bathroom with a bit of mildew, but not terrible. Taps in the bathroom were a bit drippy. Quiet and had a good night's sleep.

Basic hotel, does not have a private car park, would, nt stay again, great disappointed because it's a beautifull.

Had a good 2 days there. We foynd the room very clean and spaciousview from the room across the lake was lovely.

We had a family room and although a bit dated we had plenty of space for 4 and were comfortable. The view was amazing. Being right next to M6 we thought it may be noisy with traffic but the only think that disturbed us was the hall door banging occasionally as people came in/out. We only saw the receptionist at check-in bit she was helpful, efficient and friendly.

Can't complain about this place, room clean, comfortable a dog pleasant. The girls on the reception etc were extremely helpful and welcoming. No problem with staying again — many thanks to all concerned.

Cannot complain. Stayed one night in a room overlooking the lake. Quiet and clean. Recommended. I read the bad reviews but as a person who stays away a lot I would not hesitate to stay over again. Excellent for the price.

Great location, just in front of a lake. Good rooms too, and about 20 mins from kendal town.

The website advertises a continental breakfast which is nonexistent (see pictures, ) the alternative is to buy a £7.50 voucher worth £10 for Mcdonalds and Costa which we did not consider an adequate substitute considering we have 2 children and my wife is on a diet. A substantial amount of black mould around the seals on the bath. We felt the general standard of both hygiene and maintenance was significantly lower than we were hoping. We have stayed in many better hotels, a fair few for less money than we paid for this particular visit. Positives were the view from the bedroom window across the lake, and the size of the room, however we would much rather have had style over substance.

Great for a short stay. A little dated, but very clean and well equipped. Pleasant reception staff. Easy to access surrounding areas. Beautiful views of Killington Lake. Would have got 5 stars if it had a breakfast restaurant, however, coffee place is next door and offers a selection of pastries and sandwiches. Would consider staying again.

Great location for taking day trips to the lakes. 25% discount on the service station restaurants if you want it. Rooms are basic but clean and spacious. Note that the site states you can pay a surcharge of 6.99 for breakfast — however there is no restaurant attached so this is no longer available.

A Well Deserved Rest on the way from Scotland Home to Wales, with very friendly lady on desk and a Huge Family room with a Double & 2 single beds in a joined room Fantastic value for money!

A small motel built in Westmoreland stone far enough from the motorway so noise is not a problem An interesting view across Killington lake Friendly staff, rooms clean and tidy a good fresh smell Nice white towels and bed linen in fact extremely adequate On site food limited to Mac Donalds or Costa or sandwiches from Smiths but don't knock what you haven't tried! We used it both ways to break a journey to Scotland. It sits midway between the lakes and the dales Would certainly go back again.

Fantastic night. Lovely room-separate alcove for the children too! And a lake view. Very polite helpful lady in reception. Brilliant position for traveling north or south on the M6.

Rooms are a bit tired but then your paying a lot less than say premier Inn. Bathroom wasn't the cleanest and the panels were coming off, soap dispenser broken etc. But a great view and good sized rooms, even an extra room for the kids.

Great location for touring south lakes. Reasonably priced accomodation. Ensuite, tea, coffee making. Basic, very clean.

Slapdash service at Costa, a smile wouldn't go amiss, all a bit too much trouble for the young lady taking the money, and as ever with Costa that was an arm and a leg, shame they have you over a barrel in these places.
