Myself and my 2 daughters had a festive afternoon tea yesterday from a competition I had won. Well wow it was beautiful and the hotel itself is amazing also the staff are very welcoming and looked after us very well also. So a big thanks to all the staff you are brilliant x.

Fantastic location down a narrow lane for an unwind break! Close enough to walk or drive to Looe and Polperro for a bit of retail therapy. Fantastic sea views and very tranquil. Very dog friendly with sausage for breakfast and chicken for dinner 🙊🙊 For that extra special break, book Room 20! Beautiful room with balcony and hot tub. Food was delicious and very good sized portions for the bigger appetite. Staff very welcoming and friendly.

A great, quirky, boutique hotel to get away from it all, with excellent views, gardens, accommodation, food, service and a very warm welcome for four legged guests too.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful few days away at Talland Bay Hotel staying in the garden cottage room 26. The hotel is beautiful with the most amazing views. Our stay was made even better because the staff were all extremely pleasant. Jack was full of banter which I found quite funny because he ribbed my husband. (Deservedly) but as a whole all the staff we encountered we’re fantastic. Although we didn’t have to travel far to get to the hotel because of the setting and where it’s situated you could of been anywhere in the world, it’s just beautiful. Thank you for a lovely relaxing time away. 😊

We came here today for a birthday lunch — 5 adults and 2 children — wow. What can we say? The setting is gorgeous, food was amazing, service and staff awesome! The thoughtful extras included a birthday card and chocolates for the birthday girl 🥰🥰 she was thrilled! It’s such a relaxed setting, nothing is a rush. Would highly recommend a visit! Hoping we can return during our stay locally! Thank you sooo much!

My family & I celebrated my 50th birthday with you & it was completely brilliant. Afternoon tea was delicious, the customer service impeccable & nothing was too much trouble. In fact my parents will be booking a stay with you! Thanks to the whole team for making my day special … we have some fantastic photos & the backdrop could be St Tropez or Portofino! But it is beautiful Talland ❤️ x.

Would love to recommend Talland Bay but we know we dont need too. They are by far the most amazing hosts in the world. I am absolutely overwhelmed still with this team n I think they were so genuine. We came for Afternoon Tea for my sons 30th and we were love it. The staff went out of their way for us n it meant do much. We came back for an overnight stay n it was just amazing. Thank you Talland Bay. Best place in the world (when the weather is nice) Amazing, perfect, thoughtful. What more can we say xx.

This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms and food are exceptional, and the staff are amazing. Set in beautiful surroundings this quirky and eclectic hotel, is a little piece of paradise.

Met the manager Jack, who recommended a really nice red wine and my wife and myself were not disappointed he is a really nice chap and the hotel is great we will definitely visit here again when we are in the area.

We had a wonderful honeymoon here at talland bay hotel. we recieved a very friendly welcome, like coming to a friends house for the first time from Matt. Each member of staff were friendly and helpful throughout, we had wonderful service each day through breakfast and dinner. Harry served us most nights and always had a chat with us, it was so friendly and professional. The food was absolutely insane. The view was amazing and super easy walk down to the bay. the food each night was always delicious. Breakfast was also well laid out and the cooked food a great way to start the day! it was fine dining and had plenty of options. The rooms were superb, beautifully decorated, nice and clean, and maintained while we were down at breakfast. The rooms were well stocked and had the tastiest litte shortbread to go with the tea and coffee in the room. It was dog friendly, even had little blankets for the dogs to lay on if you ate in the dog friendly area. This was a wonderful and quirky hotel, with staff that were a total credit to the company. We would highly recommend. it is close enough to local areas that you could walk, we drove to widen our visit scope as it was prime location to travel to Truro, St Austell, Charlestown, Looe, Polperro and many others, the furthest took an hour to drive, which was pretty easy and great as shops didn't open till 10! :)

Staff are SO welcoming and friendly. Our room was beautiful. The food was superb. Our dog was treated like a king. A wonderful new year treat. Really luxurious and great fun.

We had a wonderful few days escape to Talland Bay. The food is amazing and the service is welcoming and friendly. The room was super comfy and they really think of everything.

Had Sunday Lunch today at Talland Bay Hotel and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were very attentive and caring. The chef/chefs brilliant, food fabulous a perfect afternoon with beautiful surroundings/scenery. Highly recommended.

’I’ve never had the chance to stay at the hotel but, as a taxi driver. I often dropped people off and pick them up to take them home.
Everyone I collected from the Talland hotel, always praised the food and service at the hotel and I was always envious of their experience.
The grounds are amazing and quirky. With fantastic views over Talland bay.

Been here a few times now and can not fault it. From the minute you arrive in the lovely secluded grounds with all its fun and quirky art to the friendly, helpful welcome and very comfortable rooms with amazing views over talland bay. Food and all services is excellent along with the cleanliness and provision of refreshments and basic essentials. A perfect get away for recharging the batteries with a bit of indulgence… and near to where I grew up.

Absolutely a first class experience! The staff were excellent so helpful and made our whole time so special. We cannot thank them enough.

We are just about to check out of the hotel and I don’t feel ready to leave. What a wonderfully relaxing place to stay.
We were in room 9 with fabulous views of Talland Bay from the balcony (which we enjoyed despite Storm Dennis trying to blow us away).
A walk to the beach, cocktails in the bar, an excellent (if ridiculously generous) meal in the restaurant, a huge and comfortable bed for the night followed by breakfast in the conservatory all added up to a wonderfully relaxing stolen night away from home.
The staff were friendly and efficient with added personality (no customer service scripts here) and the interior decor is charmingly bonkers.
We will be back.

We were there to celebrate our 45th anniversary… and to remember and celebrate the 3rd anniversary of Rhianon and Tamara, who married there 3 years ago! The lovely staff had many memories of the day. It was fabulous. Fantastic setting and creating such a special ambience… We'll be back. Thank you.

Talland Bay is incredible… The hotel is beautiful, staff cannot do enough for you, wine and gin lists are fabulous and the food is delicious! The staff work so hard to create and maintain a wonderful atmosphere.

Found this place whilst walking our dog over a year ago and stopped for a drink. (Doggy friendly is a big bonus) I fell in love with the place and love all the quirky art parts and garden ornaments. We returned last night for a 3 course meal and the food was exquisite! The staff were very pleasant and we felt well looked after. He proposed last night so I plan on returning for a weekend stay to celebrate our engagement very soon.

Wonderful hotel in a location that cannot be justified with mere words. Staff are a delight, and to cap it all dog friendly. We will definitely be back.

Sure, the compound is set in a lovely location and the staff are lovely, but honestly, it's not amazing. It's in the middle of nowhere, and the driving instructions that were given to get there were vague and badly described. There are two pools advertised, but both of them are only 1.2 metres deep and the outdoor one is more of a pond that anything else. The lights in the bunkers turn off after about 10 seconds if they can't detect any movement, which is very annoying and inconvenient if you want to just lie on your bed with a good book in the evening. There are thermostats in each room, but whether or not they actually work is a mystery, as nothing happens when you try to alter the temperature.

Nice holiday houses out in the countryside & near a beach, but make sure you take all you need as no shops nearby.

Has everything you need for a self catering holiday.

What a fantastic boutique Hotel in an idyllic location, my wife booked this hotel as a surprise for my birthday, we were upgraded to a sea view room which was perfect, we had room 1 and it looked out over Talland Bay. We walked from the hotel to Polperro which certainly got the heart racing as there are some quite steep hills but well worth the effort. Our evening meal in the restaurant was delightful, great food and service in a lovely atmosphere. I couldn’t help but recommend this hotel, it’s one of the best we have ever stayed in. Thank you for the experience.

We liked it here had a coffee just drank in the view its a nice set up with beach huts to sit in when it's chilly. It's a tricky Lane to get to it but it's worth the effort but I would say walk down.

Just got back from a two night stay for my birthday … this hotel is just magical. The staff friendly and very accommodating. The food is to die for! We had a double aspect sea view room, the sea view is breath taking. I would 100% recommend this hotel. We will definitely be back soon!

This hotel is exceptional in every way. My first and foremost praise would be to all of the staff, who make a visit here so special. A really natural approach to customer service which puts you at ease from the moment you walk through the door. The location is spectacular with the most amazing gardens overlooking the sea. (Only slightly spoilt by the ignorant dog owners who stay at the hotel and can’t be bothered to clean up after their dogs. )
The inside of the hotel is a vi…sual feast with its mix of quirky, contemporary and traditional design showcasing some fantastic artwork and furniture. A real eye for detail there. A lovely touch by the the manager on arrival was to upgrade our room due to my height (6’5”) as they thought I would benefit from a bigger bed. (Thank you — After a lifetime of being cramped into small airline seats, this touch meant more than you’ll know). The room we had was so clean, beautifully presented and comfortable and had a great view across the garden and onto the sea.
We had dinner in the restaurant that evening and with a fantastic wine and drinks list to accompany the menu, I wouldn’t be surprised if a nod from Michelin was on the cards soon. A great menu, served in a relaxed but traditional dining room made for a brilliant and memorable evening that I won’t forget. We are already planning a return before Christmas. Quite simply, the most enjoyable hotel stay I can remember. See you again soon.

I booked Talland Bay for our 20th wedding anniversary as we were staying nearby. From the moment we arrived, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, the bar was comfortable and we loved the quirky artwork! The fine dining restaurant is beautiful with the best view. We had one of the best meals we've had in a long time and will definitely be back!

I have been coming to Looe for the past 20 years with my family and have always walked past this hotel. I dont know what drew us in this time but my husband and I were taking photographs outside and my husband went in for a look around. Wow the garden was outstanding. So much to look at and photograph. Only had a coffee in the outside seating area and we were so taken back everywhere you went was a exhibition of fabulous quirky art. The staff was amazing too. I am a wedding photographer and I even passed a couple of my cards to the reception staff in the hope that a bride choses my services as this would be a fantastic venue to get married. The photographs would be stunning. Well now I need to look at booking next year. Well done to the owners. We won't be walking past in the future. Xxx.
