Arrived this afternoon. Such a lovely welcome. Staff only too pleased to help me with my Mum's and Uncles luggage from the car to our rooms.
This kind of service makes all the difference when traveling with 2 disabled guests.

A free upgrade to a double room was great. The room was cosy but plenty of space. Well decorated, toasty warm on arrival, very comfy bed, nice furniture and an immaculate shower room. The rest of the hotel is very pleasant, lovely grand staircase, nice conservatory and restaurant. Plenty of parking. The staff are exceptional. Requests quickly and happily met. The food was excellent. The location on the promenade is great while the town centre is nearby without being too close in terms of noise and traffic. Best of all, no extra charges for dogs and they can join you for breakfast in the conservatory! I would love to have stayed longer.

Been going to the Queens Hotel for over 10 years for Sunday lunch also evening meals, you cannot fort the Queens for the quality of food they serve, friendly staff, good value for money.

Really enjoyed our second stay at the Queens Hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely big seafront room and comfy bed. Excellent food at reasonable prices. We’ll definitely stay again.

We are just returned from our stay for 30th anniversary. A real blast from the past in a good way. Was wonderful to fall asleep to sound of sea shushing against beach. Wont stay away as long this time. Promise. Simply fabulous.

Fantastic Mother’s Day meal that was brilliant value! Staff were friendly, professional and efficient without being too quick and were fabulous with the older clientele. Menu had a great choice and the food was brilliant. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will definitely return.

Decent accommodation, the location is obviously great. Besides that, the rooms are of an older era (high ceilings, large bathrooms — can almost send you back in time to the war — or what I'd imagine it would be like). Biggest downside was that I could hear my neighbours quite clearly, which made me paranoid about my own noise making. A satisfactory experience overall.

Lovely hotel with a great view from the sea facing rooms. It also has a well stocked bat and the breakfast is also very nice. The view from the restaurant is superb. The staff are very helpful and polite. All in all a very good stay at a great hotel.

Great place to stay … If u can get room 34 u will love it corner room and have the best views of the coatline and sea front.

Everything is pleasant by the view of the sea and the calm of the place at the time of the world football.

Great nostalgic hotel. The Queen's was built in 1862. Enjoy the views and closeness to the coast.

Have had some lovely Sunday roasts at The Queens Hotel. Very reasonably priced & complimentary coffee. Which we have in the conservatory. Enjoying the beautiful viewd.

The hotel and rooms are very nice… there also is a well supplied bar… freshly cooked breakfast but quality was not the best. Overall it's ok!

Staff here are so lovely. I have had to be away from home with work for a number of months and they have always been so welcoming. It feels very homely. Always clean.

This friendly Hotel on the Promenade. The view from sea face rooms is excellent, looking across the bay from St. Michael's Mount to Newlyn and Mousehole. The staff are polite, friendly and helpful. The restaurant's menu changes daily.

Only here for a works course, but the hotel looks a really classy, classic Victorian sea side hotel. Restaurant was busy at lunch which is usually a good sign.

Lovely food, staff were very polite and curtious but the drinks were too pricy.

Good customer service, got a larger suite for no extra charge because of availability. The room was huge and very beautiful. Some rooms have a very good view over the clear water.

Clean if slightly tired hotel. Friendly staff and good traditional food. Value for money with good views of Mounts Bay.

Poor staff poor breakfast for £170 a night room cold internet very slow in rooms.

Stayed here overnight on the way to the Isles of Scilly. We arrived after 11 pm on the late London train but no problem booking in as pleasant night porter was there to greet us. Lovely big bay windowed room on the 2nd floor front with modern bathroom and shower. In the morning there were comfy chairs looking out to sea and a stunning view of the bay. Down to breakfast to be greeted by name by lovely waiting staff. Breakfast was delicious with a full cooked buffet selection and much more. Again a lovely view of the sea. Then a quick 10 min walk along the front to the IOS ferry — just what was needed. The hotel is in a period building so is constrained as to how “ modern” it can be but everything is well kept. For what we needed it exactly fitted the bill.

We only popped in for an evening drink but the staff were pleasant. Nice and clean and very brightly lit. Would happily go back.

I've stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions, as a family of 5, as a couple and on my own and each and every time it's been such a lovely experience. The rooms are clean, grand and full of amazing detail with super comfortable beds, all with a breathtaking view.
The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. The bar food is delicious as is the breakfast and if you are lucky enough to get a table next to the window you're in for a real treat!
Having stayed in lots and lots of different hotels and b&bs etc I'd choose to stay at The Queens every time!

Not sure why the ratings given amount to 4 stars. We waited for 20 minutes in the tea room for teatime service even though we asked several times for assistance. Finally we gave up and went elsewhere. The breakfast was also a disappointment. Sat us at a dirty table. No coffee or tea cups offered, after asking for 25 minutes. They informed they had to wash some and they never arrived. All buffet items were completely empty even though we arrived 1.5 hours before it finishes, still waiting for it to be refilled.! And. The buffet plates were dirty! I sifted through 4 of them before finding a clean one. But alas there’s no food to put on them. Regarding the rooms, they were nice enough. Oh and there’s hot water, hence the 1 star.

Excellent location in beautiful Cornish seaside town. Large rooms, older styling and a little touch up or modernisation would be nice. BUT if it's the classic british seaside hotel experience you want stay here! I would unquestioningly stay again :-) Mostly for the room size, the central Bay view, large bath with always hot water. The breakfast is good, £2 extra for the smoked salmon, haddock or kedgeree? Who cares! Parking didn't seem to be a problem, not sure how that would be if hotel full or an event on. Also don't understand the comment about struggling to clear the ramp in a pick up truck, I'm in a low down 2 seater.

Lovely hotel, right on the promenade and just 15 mins walk from the railway station. Room was clean and had been recently refurbished — still had the "new carpet" smell. Most importantly the breakfast was good and the shower was excellent!

Wonderful place to stay — had an ocean view room and it was glorious. Very friendly and attentive staff; food was magnificent.

Hotel very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Had a bad fall which resulted in a trip to the local hospital. The staff were very kind and attentive. Would be happy to recommend The Queens Hotel as a wonderful place and we'll worth a visit.

For the price it wasn't that great. Rooms need improvements. Food is good. Location and views are fantastic.

The largest hotel in Penzance needs an overhaul. It's very tired looking and in need of investment. It's a loved local treasure but it needs a makeover.

Best hotel iv stayed in, pet friendly too! Not even a trace of previous pets being in the rooms! Very clean, service is excellent, breakfast was delicious, will be visiting again.

Just arrived back from a weekend trip staying at the Queens Hotel. We were a large group of Male Voice Choir singers and partners. The hotel was in a lovely location and the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were all pleasant, myself and partner stayed in room 67, which although at the back of the hotel, was a very pleasant room, very clean, and a very comfortable bed.
