A great place to stay — superb room — roomy hot shower — lots of fresh fruit and nibbles and toiletries — we will come back for another stay here.
Great host too — and a brilliant breakfast 😀

Jean and Dec were very friendly fantastic hosts nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic breakfast even the pooch had a breakfast. Clean rooms with good facilities. Would book again had a lovely weekend.

After watching Four In A Bed this week I'm flabbergasted by the attitude of both owner's.
Absolute game players who's establishment was by far the worst of them all.
Absolute joke and would avoid under current management. Embarrassing.

Very basic. Small room. Uncomfortable bed. Mildew in shower.

I stayed the night before an early flight and was very comfortable. They even catered for my gluten free dietary needs beautifully. Very clean, tidy and lots of thoughtful extras for guests. Thanks again.

We had a great stay here for 2 nights for my birthday and were pleasantly surprised by the birthday touches. Our room was decorated with balloons and a banner as well as a bottle of Prosecco! As it was Jeans’ birthday also, Jean and Dec brought a bday cake for us to all have some of. The breakfast was lovely with a wide range of choice. The room was comfortable and clean and we would definitely stay again when visiting Cornwall.

Very friendly and welcoming on arrival. Shown to our room. Which was spotlessly clean warm and well thought out with the finishing touches. Declan and jean mase sure we was very looked after. Also not forgetting roxie was very friendly too. Breakfast was served hot and cooked fresh to order. Will definatly go back again to stay and next time also bring some treats for roxie too.

Declan, Jean and Roxy always offer a warm welcome, great conversation, fantastic breakfasts, homemade bread, scones and jams. Hegartys cottage is perfect for a small family with or without a pet dog. Our second time staying with these lovely people and it won't be the last.

Jean and Declan are the best hosts and have thought of everything. Roxie the dog is a little star! Our room was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. Breakfast was lovely too. Excellent value and will definitely be back. :)

Hegartys Cottage owned by Trevarrian Lodge This cottage has been renovated throughout.
What a lovely surprise we had they’ve done a fantastic job simply beautiful. Amazing new kitchen had absolutely everything you needed. The bathroom totally gutted, very spacious. We experienced no problems what so ever and would highly recommend anyone to stay. The owners are next door and are very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, really friendly lovely couple. ”

Great hosts. We were so at home and relaxed at Trevarrian Lodge, met fabulous guests as well. Fantastic views, tastefully decorated, fabulous breakfast, a big variety of fruits, cereal and hot breakfast. I would recommend them for sure.

Stayed here for 1 night as our our friends were staying here and we met up with them for the day/night. Absolutely spotless room, gorgeous breakfast/huge selection to choose from, the owners provided excellent service, will definitely book again wen down there for a holiday.

We loved our first stay so much we returned for a second visit… and plan to come again! The hosts Jean and Dec are the friendliest and most welcoming we have ever encountered. The rooms are clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The breakfast is out of this world! Absolutely delicious and so much choice. We took our 2-year-old for the second visit and everything we needed (cot, high chair/booster seat for dining) was provided. We are planning on bringing our dog next time as the B&B is dog-friendly, as is the pub down the road. There is plenty of parking and it’s only a stone’s throw from Newquay, so perfect for exploring the local area. We would highly recommend this as a great place to stay!

Stayed here for one night to surprise a friend for his birthday. My friends stayed in the cottage at the back and the owners Jean and Declan let me and my wife stay in our camper van on the drive for a very small fee. We were all made welcome from the off and Jean and Declan were amazing. Could not do enough for us. The breakfast was hot and very tasty. Rooms were clean and smelt fresh. The place could do with some tlc yes but the new owners have only been in for 11 months and things are getting done slowly. If you are in the area and need somewhere to stay u can't go wrong with this place. Will definitely be staying here again. Thanks for the stay guys…

What a lovely B&B in a great location. I called Declan to arrange a suprise visit as it was our friends birthday and he was staying in the cottage adjacent (run by these great people). With no issues what so ever Declan managed to switch a room around so our disabled friend has easy access to the b&b. Breakfast was absolutely spot on, I was shocked at the range of continental goodies and the classic full English was cooked to perfection. Declan can certainly cook that's for sure! The Cottage (Haegertys Cottage? ) Was absolutely lovely and what a great place for a small eacape for a family, dog friendly too which is amazing! Place was clean and tidy as you would expect. Declan and Jean, keep up the good work!

Dog friendly place! Great place. Very friendly owners, cosy and quiet location. Facilities are very clean and tidy. Food is delicious and fresh (both English and continental). Game room with plenty of games, books and DVDs available. Ample parking. Very nice pub and restaurant in the walking distance.

Friendly hosts. Building very clean. Room well equipped. Nice location. Totally handy for early flight from Newquay Airport. Nice touch of croissants, fruit & water in a bag for me. As leaving at 5.30 a. M. Good takeaway coffee too.

We have just had a lovely week in cornwall, our first holiday together and we wanted to go somewhere new. We were greeted by Declan and jean and straight away they were so friendly. The room was immaculate and well stocked and had a lovely sea view. We had an awesome breakfast every morning and declan truly makes lovely.
Scrambled eggs. They really made us feel welcome and helped us find all the beachs and local info we needed. The location is fabulous and two beach are within walking distance with spectacular views. We had an amazing time and will definatly be back.

This is a beautiful little find so close to one of my favourite Cornish beaches Watergate Bay. Was greeted by owners Declan and Jean, instantly welcomed and felt like we'd come to stay with family. We had our dog with us and loved just how dog friendly this place. Room was lovely and comfy, fresh and clean. Was delighted by all the little touches and effort these guys go to to make their guests feel welcome. One of our favourite additions was the day room/sitting room, a room to relax in of an evening with books and games for all. With fully reclining sofas, cool water station, coffee machine, fresh home made cakes, biscuits, chocolate, bottled water and canned drinks.
Breakfast the next morning was amazing, fully catering for everyone's needs. We had cereal followed by the full English and I don't often struggle to finish breakfast but today it almost beat me. Delicious.

A perfect and idyllic location with sea views set in a small friendly community. The rooms are well appointed and very clean some with great views of the Atlantic. Breakfast is generous and plentiful offering cereals, continental, fruit and full English. Our friends Jean & Declan recently took over this already successful guest house in April and we stayed with them to help with their first week making their move less stressful and to enable them to give all their attention to their guests who were very complimentary considering they had only recently taken over this business. Call us bias — and we are — you will not be disappointed with a stay here. A great location for Newquay, many beaches with surfing the top attraction and great coastal walks with stunning views. Oh did I forget to mention the pub just a stroll down the lane with great ales, good food, friendly owners, staff and locals.

A very pleasant supprise. Great location and nice large clean rooms with a very friendly atmosphere. Well worth the money and will return again soon.

Very good B&B conveniently situated for Newquay Airport. Rooms and all facilities very good and the breakfast excellent. The owners were very helpful and friendly people — thank you.
