We had a lovely stay, welcomed with a drink and a smile. A superbly comfy bed we also like logs! Jackie was a great host, helpful and friendly. We are looking forward to going back. The place is a few minutes walk from town and the beach, easy to find too.

My girlfriend and I stayed here recently. Jackie is definitely the hostess with the mostess…we were greeted with a slice of banana cake and a beer — what more could you want?! Jackie was super friendly and gave us loads of advice and tips for the surrounding area. We got to meet her lovely dogs who are both very loving and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

On the second week of July me, my sister, mother and dog went to stay in this lodge for 5 days. It was good lodge to stay in and I would stay there again especially if you have a dog. It's a get lodge because everything in the room looked clean and tidy. The lodge wasn't far away from town. Also the price to stay in this lodge is reasonable, it's not expensive.
The lodge is highly dog friendly and I would recommend it.

I stayed at Smarties Surf Lodge for 3 nights as a solo traveller wanting to spend some more time exploring Newquay/Cornwall following a surfing and camping weekend. Jackie was super friendly and responsive and the ensuite room I had in her B&B was perfect (and very well priced) for what I needed for the few nights I was there — clean, quiet and comfortable. The location was also great, being only a short walk to Fistral beach, the main high street and the bus station. Thank you Jackie for a lovely stay.

It has been my second time staying with Jackie, her surf lodge is amazing for a getaway, surf weekend or a couples holiday. We stayed in the double room with en suite. Upon arrival we were greeted by Jackie who kindly gave us some lovely chilled beers to start the getaway off on the right foot! Jackie is absolutely amazing at recommending hidden treasures and things to do in Newquay! We will be back again! Hopefully sooner rather than later!

Most friendly and helpful receptionist ever, so lovely and great first impression of the Lodge. Couldn't have been more sweet, giving us directions where to go for our summer activities, ensuring parking in car park and facilitating an early check in, If nothing else had gone right is the toilet flush but it was tolerable and jackie was attentive with it. Fortunately everything about the lodge was exceptional, and I don't give praise lightly.

Very good location for town centre and beaches, rooms very clean and tidy. Host and service is very friendly and cannot be faulted.

Jacqui unfortunately couldn't accommodate us this time around due to being fully booked, however was incredibly helpful in making sure we had somewhere else to stay and we're set up for the weekend. A super nice lady and will make sure we're visiting in the summer!

I stayed at smarties in August its a great location short walk to town Very clean and well run by owner Jackie even a distant sea view from room I stayed in hope to return nxt year.

Really lovely place to stay while in Newquay. Clean and tidy, good location and great breakfast!

Jackie, the host, and her fiancee are absolutely fantastic and make us feel like friends and not guests.
The place is clean too.

Been coming down for our anniversary to Newquay for 9yrs but staying at smarties for the first was the best time we have had! Great place, clean double room, fantastic hosts made us feel like friends not customers, went out of their way to get flowers & wine package waiting got us, no hassle (quiet even with a hen and stag party there! ) close to the town and beach but far enough away from the hustle to be chilled. Can't recommend enough!

Just come back from a Hen weekend in Newquay, a group of 10. Stayed in Smarties surf lodge. Was a great weekend. Accommodation was excellent greeted by lovely people on arrival we had a nice cold beer and banana cake which was lush! Beds were nice and comfy, shower lovely and hot.
