Very nice location in front of a park. I did not like that there is no one to the hotel to open you but have to use a code. Breakfast a bit fair too. Room and cleanliness correct.

Great place for short break. Good quality rooms, clean and quiet. At least those on top floors. Perfect location. Lots of pubs and restaurants nearby.

If I could give no stars at all, I would. Dreadful. Don't stay here. Code locks up steep unlit stairs. No reception, find you own key. A family split across two *buildings* without our prior knowledge; our son by himself in another building. The double room turned out to be a basement, heating not working. Told — by phone — to go into communal kitchen and adjust thermostat. Bulb not working. Thin walls, bed other side of shared bathroom. Drunks fighting outside at night. But the worst feature was the passive-aggressive couldn't-care-less attitude of the person at the other end of the phone, who never once came to see us. Read the negative reviews: I now know to my cost they are all accurate.

Had a double room with a shared bathroom. The bed in the room was quite small for a double. Otherwise, room was clean and spacious, bathroom was very clean. Very central location, with a view on the park.

Good atmosphere, but the drinks are a little pricey.

We had a very small room with lots of sloping roofs and the bathroom was outside the actual hotel room. However, everything was quite clean (leftovers from the predecessor on the small table) and we spent our time in Cambridge quite well. The location is great, but the price per night is quite high.

We had a great stay with our own private room and bathroom, both at very high standard. Breakfast was delicious with eggs, fresh fruit, granola, croissants! The check in process is a bit weird since there is no reception but once you have your room key, it's okay!

I stayed at the suite and I love it. The weather was a bit warm, which was unusual. Other than that, it is very nice. The location was great. There are restaurants within walking distance. I will recommend it.

I booked Regency House for a Hen Party for 14 people. There are 2 buildings and the second is arranged into 3 apartments of 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms each with their own separate kitchens which were well equipped and gave us some privacy from the other guests. The rooms were tastefully decorated and well cleaned. The location was also excellent and seems very good value for the quality of the accommodation. I had to make this booking the night before we travelled as our accommodation was cancelled at the last minute. Charlotte contacted me as soon as I made the booking to see if she could assist and could not have been more helpful throughout the weekend. She went above and beyond to help reallocate us into the rooms which best fit our group and was on hand at all times to assist with anything we needed providing us with a mobile number to contact her on at any time of day.

We make a reservation ahead of time but then when we arrived at the place, the reservation was cancelled because of some complications. Good thing they resolved it in a few minutes. Their problem solving is effective!

This is a good place to stay in cambridge. The room were spacious, the breakfast areas the same. Cleaning of the room forfilled expectations fully and service from personal were Excellent. The only drawback if any was the bathroom, Which were a share between rooms on each floor. This was a very tiny problem though, since I Didn't have to wait once or Even saw anyone on the premises. This experience comes highly recommended.

I would be more than happy to write a review about regency house apartments but they cancelled my booking when I asked them whether or not the apartments I booked had a separate bedroom. One of the pictures they sent me showed an open plan studio apartment and having young kids, I wanted to confirm that they would have a proper bedroom. If that was not the case, I wanted to cancel or to be relocated. I was replied that the cancellation was about to be done and then, I received another email stating that my booked apartments had separate bedrooms. I am not sure that my email was read carefully, so I replied to inform that I wanted to keep my booking. They offered me to rebook via their website and kept 50 £ as per their cancellation policy. I insisted to be relocated or fully reimbursed and I was jut informed that the apartments were not available anymore. Since this last information, I have never been contacted even though I sent 4 emails to ask to be re-imbursed and to find out about their complain policy. Is their complain policy to ignore unsatisfied customers.

Best place to stay in Cambridge The Regency Guest House in Cambridge is truly amazing. We discovered the place around a year ago, have been back several times since, and now would not dream of staying anywhere else in Cambridge. Fran and Charlotte the owners are brilliant hosts, very friendly, and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them when looking after their guests. The breakfasts are great, and the aroma of croissants being baked every morning is wonderful to wake up to. The whole place is spotlessly clean at all times, the housekeeping staff friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the guest house calm and relaxing. We cannot rate the Regency Guest House highly enough. Murdoch and Lilian MacDonald.

They apologized after cancelling our confirmed booking due to an major blunder on their part (double booking and unforeseen circumstances). I guess mistakes happen.
