We ordered food for this evening from the millhouse hotel on a whim and we were not disappointed! So yummy and such generous portions! A lovely way to see in the new year! Lovely setting, good food and very friendly staff.

We came to the Santa tea this afternoon and it was lovely. The Santa was really good with the children and they loved him. The afternoon tea was delicious and catered for the allergies within our party exceptionally well. I would highly recommend it and we look forward to coming again soon.

We had a roast dinner and pudding delivered today. It was amazing. There was so much food, we all struggled to finish it and the food was really good quality. Thanks to the Millhouse.

A taste of Italy got brought to us this evening. Fantastic food from an amazing team and venue at Millhouse Hotel and Riverside Restaurant. 10 out of 10, as always and as expected. We can't wait until we are able to come and see you all again and eat in. Xx.

Went to the cheese night last night and it was absolutely delicious, everything from start to finish was gorgeous, the staff were friendly and incredibly accommodating. We also stayed in one of the rooms and that was lovely, the bed was comfy and the room was full of character and very clean. Will definitely be back very soon.

Went to the cheese night and all I can say is wow didn’t manage the 4 courses so brought the cheese board home … but absolutely loved it … and the waitress Bri was absolutely brilliant and friendly.

Thoroughly enjoyed our Tapas last night. Great selection and plenty of it. Friendly service in air conditioned comfort.

Just had a fantastic home delivered mothers day meal due to self isolation. Much enjoyed by me and my 2 children! Made my mothers day so much better after having to self isolate and be away from my own mum!

I would recommend the millhouse for your events, and dinning. My daughter had her wedding there and they did a fantastic job. We have been for sunday dinner and evening meals there food is great and reasonably priced. We have just picked up a takeaway afternoon tea its fantastic. Great job guys.

This place is always attentive and has the customer at heart. Sunday roasts are absolutely the best, a warm family atmosphere with staff that care. Time stands still here and there is no rush, great value for money. Thank you for having us x.

Just got back from one of the Pudding nights absolutely fantastic… great value loads of choice and excellent service… highly recommend!

Had a fabulous Christmas party here… lovely food and quite atmosphere so you can have a good catch up. Then when food was done the disco started and we had a boogie… what more could you ask for at a Christmas do. Will definitely book next year… might even indulge on a pudding night too.

I would just like to thank Karl & his team for helping to make my 70th birthday party last week “Simply The Best”!
The venue, food & accommodation were all excellent. We had around 100 guests & everything went like clockwork. Nothing was too much trouble. Our family have had several events here, the last being our Granddaughters Christening party last Sunday. We would now find this venue hard to beat & would recommend this Hotel & venue for any occasion.

Had a lovely wedding here at the weekend. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Really enjoyed it.

I can’t recommend the Millhouse Hotel enough. We had our wedding here on the 18th May and it was fantastic. Karl and his team ensured our every request was met and that the day ran smoothly and on time. The food was to die for and we’ve had nothing but compliments on their afternoon tea. If you’re looking for that perfect setting to host your event then this is the place for you.

The Millhouse Hotel was the perfect setting for my sons wedding. Very relaxing atmosphere, lovely food, comfortable rooms, well stocked bar and professional staff. Karl ensured the event timings were met and everything ran smoothly. I would highly recommend you pay this venue a visit and have your event here. A big thank you to Karl and his team. Really nice and friendly staff, excellent food, nice room but bathroom needed little updating.

We attended the Jazz Night on the 5th April, and we had such a fantastic evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was simply divine and the jazz was on point. A really enjoyable evening.

Went for Sunday lunch 4 adults and 4 children aged from 9 months to 11 years and all of us were very happy with our choice of Millhouse restaurant.
Dinner was lovely. The atmosphere was very relaxed so we stayed for dessert & had plenty of time to chat while the older children played outside. I'd definitely recommend taking advantage of the Sunday dinner offer & taking a break from having to do the dishes. Katie/Katy served us and was pleasant and accomodating.

Wow what can I say! We had our wedding reception here and by far it was the best day of our lives… we visited in September 2016 and within 30 mins of viewing we had booked and put our deposit down… Karl and the team were fantastic from start to finish… no job was to big whatever we wanted or needed they helped us achieve straight away… they even repaired my maid of honours shoe when it broke! all of our guests kept saying how lovely the mill house is and how lovely the staff are! We stayed the night in the hotel and they converted a double room into a family room for us and our children… the breakfast the next day was phenomenal… thank god im not on a wedding diet anymore! Thankyou so much! Would highly recommend! :) x.

I attended a wedding here. Amazing location and full tranquility. Lovely place to for a weekend, plenty of car park space. Decent size rooms and friendly staffs.

Very nice location, good food, and helpful staff. Very reasonably priced. No lift.

Behind wardrobe was cobwebby quite badly, carpet had things on it not hovered well told to keep noise down at 11pm Round our fire pit n doors locked at 12 so couldn't get into other guests as we were in an outside room. However hall was beautiful and atmosphere great n bfast was lovely also xx.

Lovely setting and great service. Food was fabulous and even for myself being a celiac non gluten eater they were very helpful, helping me choose items of the menu and checking on things with the chef. Bought bread rolls out for our other party members quickly followed by a non gluten bread roll for myself. Portion. Size of food is big and delicious. Not cheap but worth it.

Had a fantastic night tonight for a 3 course Caribbean meal. Took three friends of mine and we all said the meal was fantastic. I had won their Facebook competition and it didn't disappoint. The waitresses were very helpful and the owner was friendly. I highly recommend the place as it has a great atmosphere and was very clean and looked after. 5

I had my wedding here on the 8th April 2017 and have come back today for our first year anniversary. Great place, lovely setting, lovely rooms, food is great and the staff can't do enough for you. Karl the Manager knows what the customers want, would highly recommend for any parties weddings or private functions or just a general beer.

Staff very polite, friendly and efficient but the food was really disappointing. The Yorkshire puddings were really heavy and doughy and not cooked. We were given a second lot which were exactly the same. The roast potatoes were undercooked and slightly hard and the beef was really tough. Such a pity when the surroundings are so nice.

Superb setting by the river. Delicious and reasonably priced good. Extremely clean and staff friendly and efficient.

Very friendly staff, the food ok 7.5/10, we went at night in the winter hut im sure summer would be so much nicer with it being next to the river. Recommend at least a try.

Went for afternoon tea. The food was lovely and the staff were too. The parking is very limited, and the toilets — although clean — weren't as nice as the rest of the building. Would definitely recommend it.

Wow, what can I say! Valentine's night a beautiful setting, overlooking the river, fairylights outside. Inside candlelight and soft music.
The food was as always beautifully presented and tasted outstanding! I have had a few meals here before and always walked away happy and satisfied. Pudding night is a must!
Last night we had Devon serve our table, she was very polite, attentive and easy to talk to.
I can't thank all the staff enough for such an amazing evening.
Millhouse is a must visit to experience the wonderful food, setting and friendly staff.

Only stayed one night but couldn't fault it. Staff, especially Devon, were very friendly and helpful. Room was fine with everything we required. Breakfast was excellent, cooked by the owner. Would stay again.

Found this lovely little hotel today, even in the rain it was very pretty can’t wait for the sun to shine then we will go back. It is like stepping back in time, there is no loud music, no brown leather sofas and no costa coffee, just good old family friendly little hotel, with happy staff. It was clean and had everything you need, disabled access was good, lovely views over the working mill, free parking and even know we did not eat the food smelt lovely.

Nice location, on-site parking BUT very dated rooms, unprofessional service at the reception, the whole place is in a great need of change and being updated. The marquee outside is a shamble and so is the "finger" buffet! Please look elsewhere for your event venue as well as for your accomodation! Use your garden, hire a marquee and get some catering in, you will be much happier & so will be your guests. Great potential here, but the place needs to be most probably taken over to thrive.

Excellent small hotel situated in a lovely village just outside Bedford. Very pleasant staff who genuinely want you to enjoy your stay with them. Clean quiet rooms, some with views of the river. Great breakfast!

Excellent food and service, always worth visiting especially pudding night and any of their speciality nights.

Pudding and Dessert night You have a selection of got and cold puddings to choose from plus ice cream. Some were not too good, but that was only 2 out of 15 choices. If you like your desserts then this is the occasion for you.

The areas are clean and the staff are warm and inviting. However the décor is undated and the staff did not go out their way to provide expecting service.

Turned up last minute. Very surprised by the large room I was given. The food is to die for. And very very reasonable prices. I will definitely be stopping again.

A reasonable hotel, with able and willing staff. The region seems to be a bit of a hotel/restaurant desert, so it's worth a detour. Nice touches like keeping a fire burning outside on a muggy evening.
