Best Holiday inn in UK, staff very helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble from the staff on reception to the people in the restaurant in the morning and in the evening. Microwave can be used so you can heat meals up from the Marks & Spencer‘s express next to the hotel. Rooms are really quiet considering you’re near a busy road, air-conditioning turn off at present. Very clean rooms housekeeping is good, hand sanitiser everywhere and Covid friendly. Food and drinks can also be ordered and collected and taken to your room. My first choice of hotel when in Bedford, to go into town it’s a taxi trip or drive but it’s not far away.

Be wary of staying here if you have a car. The car park does not belong to the hotel but is managed by Parking Eye. Despite putting in our car details we received a parking fine. After numerous phone calls and emails to the staff and manager I still haven’t received a written reply as proof that the hotel have contacted Parking Eye to cancel our fine.
This is an attempt in trying to get a written response. Perhaps the next recourse is Head Office!

As usual the rooms are properly comfortable, a great night sleep and nice and quiet.
I stay in a lot of hotels, but I have to say holiday Inn are one of the best.

It's a very business like place however, don't let that put you off!

Just had the worst breakfast here we've ever had here no cutlery no beans and when the beans came out they were as cold as the other food please learn to heat your food up properly. Would help if there's a visible face instead of one guy running around trying to man the desk do the food and everything else.

Was located within very reasonable distance of where I was going. Not as Upscale as some of the other Holiday Inn's I've stayed at, but okay. Free parking which is useful as you really need a car to get into Bedford itself.

Good reasonable hotel. Not the cleaness but good for price. Would prefer for a king or queen bed as per most hotels as we were in a disabled room not needed but the bed almost looked like a single. Good food again ok for the price. Staff are ok but nothing special.

A suitable place for a local family wedding. A lovely room. Food not served but the staff gave very good selections as to where to eat locally. Air condition in the room was lovely and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was of a good selection and more than edible.

Couldn't fault it for the price and amenities provided. Out of the centre of town so need a car to get there but very convenient for routes around Bedford. Based on this experience will use HIE whenever possible.

The room is basic but comfortable, the main desk, bar and restaurant area is clean and well presented, But the food options on the menu are limited and to be honest, don't taste that great. That isn't a slight against the staff there whom were very welcoming, but obviously the food options come from head office who need to rethink the menu a bit.

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting friends. Very easy to find just off the A421, behind the BP/M&S petrol station. Our room was tidy and clean. Breakfast was buffet and as plentiful. All staff were very helpful.

It a normal Holiday Inn you get what you pay for, but the staff hear are exceptional.

Stayed for one night to visit family. Lovely clean hotel, room was perfect. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would have given 5 stars but found the breakfast area was a bit on the small size for the size of the hotel. Bacon very greasy and sitting in grease, not much selection ie no tomatoes or mushrooms. No vegetarian option.

Absolutely disgusting! Found poo on our bathroom doorframe when we checked in at 2pm. Told reception and asked for the bathroom to be cleaned. Returned at 8pm and it was still there! It wasn’t even a small amount! After waiting another hour it was finally cleaned. But to be honest you wonder how clean the rest of the hotel is! It makes me feel sick thinking about it! We are staying with our two children too. Revolting!

Very pleasant stay. Beds were comfy, rooms had everything you need. Staff were very warm and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely too.

I stayed here for a couple of days and I liked the atmosphere of the place. I had a room on the ground floor which was quiet and cosy. There is an ironing room upstairs. The restaurant provides good eating options. It is a clean place and well within the budget. The staff and the housekeeping are prompt in their work.

An excellent budget hotel. This hotel is very clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable as well. Staff was great in answering questions and if they didnt know they quickly went and found out.

A little far from town but otherwise very clean, excellent use of areas in bedroom. Comfy bed and pillows. Reception staff friendly. Nice enough English breakfast.

Located just off the M1, this place offers a good location for an evening out or just for a coffee… check it out… you might even get a coffee on the house ;)

Rooms are comfortable and clean. Restaurant offers very limited choice of food and is expensive. Too close to large petrol station.

Really not child friendly. It was very noisy so we didn't get much sleep. Several things on the restaurant menu were not available and there was no child menu at all. Breakfast was unattended and there was a long wait whilst items were replaced, even on the quiet morning. On the busy morning it was attended, but was, quite literally, chaos.

Bed uncomfortable. Noise/vibration like a pulsing fan really noticeable when head on pillow and TV off. Food most things off the menu and no kids selection. Breakfast was a joke kept running out of things. As items arrived others ran out so no full breakfast.

Very nice hotel. Staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast was great and filling. Only issue I had was that my room wasn't fully clean I thought compared to other places I'd stayed. Overall I'd definitely recommend this place. Oh yes, and great access to surrounding areas via the nearby motorway.

Accessible place and affordable parking. The staff were friendly and help. The room smell fresh and it has comfortable beds.

Great HI Express. Staff were helpful and facilitated my request for connecting rooms. Staff were friendly and interacted with the kids and we all got a good night's sleep. Enjoyed the free breakfast. Despite its location near 2 main A roads, with the windows shut there was NO noise at all. Air con kept the rooms chilled.

The hotel smelled lovely and citrusy. It was extremely clean. The lady on reception who booked us in, was so welcoming, friendly and interacted with the children (long, dark hair, very pretty, possibly tattooed). The rooms were clean and quiet. Bathrooms cleaned immaculately. Breakfast delicious. Would thoroughly recommend hotel. Lovely stay. All staff friendly and accommodating.

Only there for one night but had stayed there before I can honestly say we love this hotel perfectly situated for where we wanted to be, staff lovely staff but want to give a huge thank you to Katie who was extremely helpful and a very pleasing personality nothing was too much trouble for her if only we could meet a Katie every day our lives would be a lot richer thank you to all the staff for a lovely pleasant stay be it only a short one we will be back around the same time next year and will be staying for two nights.

Lovely welcome when we arrived. Room was very nice, lovely and clean. Had TV, ironing board, kettle with tea and coffee, iron and settee, bathroom with shower. Breakfast was beautiful lots of choice including a cooked breakfast consisting of bacon sausages scrambled eggs and beans. Would definitely stay here again.

I have worked in a 4* hotel for years and have to say this was better. The room was spotless, receptionist was lovely… faultless.
Would highly recommend. Great value for money.
Will definitely stay again when I come back to visit.

Not bad fit the price I paid. I just wanted a place to get some rest and this ticked the box. Staff were great during my stay as well.

Normal HI express!, Clean and tidy and can't say much more. Fine for business, Absolutely nothing else on site ither than a BP connect filling station.

It's the best of premeir inns, but be advised DO NOT have food from the restaurant the service is diabolical. Me and my children waited 3 HOURS for food on table we booked. At breakfast my son had to collect a cup from his room to have coffee as they didn't have enough coffee cups to go round. I had steak with a sauce for my meal and the steak was soo tough my steak knife wouldn't cut it. When I complained I spoke to the manager he had the attitude of someone who clearly didn't care. Worst place I've ever been too everyone who stayed and had good complained! What a let down: (: (: (: (.

Used hotel overnight on a visit for a funeral. Everything pristine and well organised. The only drawback that we stayed on a sunday night so no meals available from hotel but thanks to Claire a delivered "take away" from Blue Ginger (an Indian Restaurant) was arranged. This meal was great — should we be in the area again we would a) use Holiday. b) Take delivery from Blue Ginger.

Great service from the staff, although the rooms could do with a more modern makeover.
