Found a bucket with water in in the middle of the room on entering. Curtains were falling apart. No hot water for a shower. No lock on the toilet for the residents use in bar area. Paid an extortionate rate of £150 for 3 in the room. Breakfast was ok. Complained with all of the above with the management but fell on deaf years. Only compensation was to give a better deal when we came again. Sadly that won't be happening unless it gets a total overhaul. The best thing was the view but not worth £150.

Disgusting in every way. The 1 star is extremely generous. This is a really quick review. Room was dirty. Bedding and floors. Booked for four and was given room for 3. Told it was our fault even though it was their error and lied about it. Had to stop in diff hotel. Due to arrival time. No solution given. I am still unsure who runs this dirty, outdated, smelly building, as they lie about who they are and dont want to own up to anything. The receptionist told me the one person just helps behind the bar and said he was not in the building but was in the next room serving. She was referring to the dupty manager. Ultimately they are liars and thieves and will do nothing to help. Like I say this is a quick review. Avoid this hotel.

Only giving 1 star as there isn't a option to put 0 star rating. Checked in to hotel room was a very dated looking, stained/dirty towels, cracked sink and shower trey was botched job fix and to top it all off asked to move rooms nothing available to swap asked for refund and given excuses and told I'm not having one avoid this place like the black plague. Will be claiming refund via small claims court.

In much need of improvements! My room consisted off draws that were broken a bathroom falling apart and a lovely view off a wall. On the plus side plenty off mouldy jaffa cakes under the bed with crisp crumbs. The view whilst we had breakfast was lovely but unfortunately the reception from a bossy waitress was horrid. The guys on reception were warming and my twins loved the erratic lift!. Such as shame as this hotel is in a prime location.

Not good. Place needs renovation an attention to many repairs. Front rooms are acceptable but room 104 at the rear is very poor — should be converted into a store room. Breakfast. Good location and views. Pricey for what it is.

Lovely place, lovely staff, if you want authentic seaside hotel this is it rooms were clean and tidy.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was spotlessly clean and we had a beautiful view of the whole bay. There were adequate bath/shower gel, shampoo and soap supplied, and tea, coffee, milk, etc. Breakfast was included and was very good with help yourself juice, cereals, fruit, toast, butter and jams, then a choice of hot drinks and cooked breakfasts served by the efficient staff. It has to be said that the hotel is in need of renovation and tlc, but the current owners have just recently taken over and have started replacing carpets and no doubt have plans for lots more. We only had one bedside lamp, but that was quickly rectified when I asked for another. The rooms at the front have wonderful sea views. There is a lift for anyone who struggles with stairs. There's also a bar where food is served. Don't expect luxury, but this hotel is great value and I'm happy to recommend it.

Cant AV wished 4 a better stay, the staff r wonderfull and can't do enough 4 u. Will b sorry 2 leave on sat but will deff b returning.

Nice place, friendly and helpful staff, hotel outdated for price.

Old. Dated. Needs a lot of repairs. Couldnt open the window in our room although the weather was boiling as the pigeons would come in. They tried to take a payment off the card details 3 days before we arrived. Because they had not been able to take the payment they demanded a payment as soon as we arrived.

Good service and a friendly atmosphere. Great veiws of the harbour.

Stunning views, but hotel requires major investment. Was not value for money. Poor attention to detail such as exposed gripper rods in dining area, torn curtains, leaking roof, blood stain on bed valance sheet, generally tired and tatty and rundown. Shame as it is a great location. Is the hotel being deliberately run down by the owner I wonder?

Terrible coffee, OK tea so it averages out. I'm sure if you visit during a busy weekend the service might be better but as it was a weekday mid morning it wasn't great.

Give this Hotel a good clean please. First mistake I did not read the reviews second mistake I booked it. On getting in the lift my husband thought he was going down to pit bottom and on getting out we realised we did. Room 403 on the front, great I thought no open the curtain a solid brick wall. Dirtylampshades, cobwebs on the ceiling, urine stains on the bathroom door, carpet stained, none of the electrical appliances had been pat tested. TV not working no remote control. Oh good a jacuzzi bath no not good it doesnt work rang down to reception spoke to someone he said I have worked here for 5yrs and it has never worked to my knowledge. The bath panel was hanging off any way. Cigarette burn in the sink of which caused a leak in the cabinet below, (you can tell how old that is) We stayed one night and that was enough.
