Visited recently for the Hawaiian picnic table and it was lovely! Made a special request in advance and the staff very kindly accommodated this which was very much appreciated. It was a quiet lunchtime when we visited but we didn’t feel rushed, everything was nicely presented, tasted lovely and we were given a takeaway box for a few leftovers. Would definitely return and recommend.

We would highly recommend this delightful family run inn which has excellent food, spotlessly clean rooms with comfy beds and a delicious free breakfast. The staff are welcoming and friendly. This has been a real find for us and we will definitely return.

Had a lovely evening having ordered the Hawaiian picnic bench as a treat for our teenagers. Tasty and filling with great cocktails and mocktails. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

We visited yesterday (12th December) — what an amazing afternoon we had. The birthday girl loved the whole picnic experience.
The food was delicious, the service was amazing! Thanks so much for such an amazing idea for the kiddies and adults too x.

Lovely bar lunch and helpful staff informative on local attractions. Vegan Curry was very tasty. Would definitely return.

Had a late birthday celebration tonight. Hand wash at the door, masks worn by staff and worn by us until sat down.
Tables were wiped down and all was clean.
Food was delicious and so filling. Thankyou.

The picnic bench lunch was amazing. So much food, we bought most of the puddings home with us. Highly recommend!

Brilliant experience on Monday Evening. Food terrific, staff fantastic and new restrictions setup perfectly. Night recommended.

We had lunch here today the 2 young ladies who served us were very chatty, polite and the food was excellent.

Lovely meal. Great place, nice interior and lovely staff. Lots of meals to choose from. Very delicious. Not to expensive either. Highly recommend.

I have had several meals at The Wolfe Inn and I’ve really enjoyed them but on the 29th August myself and my husband had an anniversary meal and I was so disappointed. I should have said something at the time but we weren’t asked if everything was ok with our meals during or after and I felt a bit awkward. When I made my payment there was minimal conversation by the member of staff and I didn’t seize an opportunity. We didn’t feel like valued customers at all. My food was served on a cold plate and it didn’t taste very nice towards the end of the dish. It was clearly just heated up. My husbands steak was very overdone and it’s only saving grace was that it did have flavour. (The prawns were overdone too. ) I am writing this review now because I think that The Wolfe will lose custom if these issues are not addressed and that would be a shame. It’ll be a long time before I go there again anyway.

The drinks — I was with friends who are pub licensees & the Guinness was sour & tasted as if the pipes hadn’t been cleaned for a while! Staff friendly & realise maybe not many locals drink Guinness but still no excuse!

I’ve been to the Wolfe Inn a few times now and every time I’ve had such a warm welcome by all members of staff, there all very polite and willing to help with anything. As for the food there’s plenty to choose from off the menu, and it’s always cooked and presented to an excellent standard. I’ve taken my daughter a few times too and there’s plenty of choice for children also the portions are spot on and they are very child friendly. Would highly recommend The Wolfe Inn to anyone who is passing by or looking somewhere for food. Big compliments to the chef also x.

Went there for Saturday lunch for what was advertised as fresh home cooked food, the potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were frozen and tasteless, very little gravy, price was very good but food sub standard.
Staff were very nice.
Toilets were very sub standard ladies has only 1 toilet working which was broken and did not flush correctly, overall would not recommend.

Great lunch time menu. The staff are very customer focused. Would advise booking especially during summer months.

Lovely roadside pub. We lunched off the lunch menu which was healthy hearty and amazing value at £6 each. Adequate parking.

Staying with a friend nearby we visited here twice apparently it the ones the locals use. Was not disappointed food good and not a huge menu but varied. Local beer good too. Service was excellent.

The Wolfe Inn has a good range of beers and Stowford Press cider, which is a favourite of mine. The menu contained a great choice of meals at a reasonable cost and my gammon steak was really tasty. I was too full to have a dessert, however, the other 3 diners in said their individual choices were delicious and the chap on the next table said his Knickerbocker Glory was really tasty! I would recommend The Wolfe Inn as a great Inn to eat in!

Lunch menu quite extensive. Good size for lunch. Lots of customers so place is popular. Not crowded though. Good value for lunch including free tea or coffee. Will go again and be a bit more adventurous with what I choose. Recommended A+ (eBay style)

Lovely pub/restaurant. Great food, reasonable prices and lots of food. Lovely friendly staff and nice decor! A must to visit. They run a lunch menu which includes roast dinners and all the usual pub favourites for only £6 with a tea or coffee absolute bargain. I always have the roast dinner as it is really nice plenty of meat and what I particularly like a little bit of lots of veg. The last time I had it I counted 9 vegetables including a new potato and 2 roasts. Something impossible to do at home but what I really really like? Also their main menu is great too, generous plates of food. Lovely!

I can not praise this place enough, five stars alone is not enough. We were there for an intimate wedding breakfast, around 23. I think for me what made this so special were the staff, they were so attentive, warm and caring, it felt they were part of the party. Everyone from from bar staff to cleaners all had a happy smile. We stayed the Friday before and the night of the wedding (thank you Denise and Richard). Again attentive staff made the weekend. Now, the food OMG. The breakfasts they knock out are really really good. The quality of the produce, the cleaness of taste and the generosity of the plate. We met the chef whose partner worked there, both ace and lots of really nice relaxed conversation. He was intuitive of the bride and made for a nice conversation genuinely interested of their future plans. I started to forget we were at an inn. Felt more like a home. The wedding breakfast. Speechless. Both in quality of food, efficiency of service and their genuine keeness to please. If you're looking for an intimate venue to follow your wedding then this place will be hard to beat. PS they have the full menu on offer, I chose steak thinking with the complexity of dishes that it probably would not to be my liking… I was wrong it was amazing and spot on how I like it. Thanks everyone at Wolfe inn, Denise and Richard deserve the stops that you admirably pulled out, and you did. Xxx.

Just outstanding! Just back from a weekend stay here for my mums wedding reception. Everything is 10*'s! Honestly, the welcome from the first evening checking in was so warm and friendly (thank you Leila), food was absolutely stunning and large portions (the chef and kitchen staff were so friendly) and the room decorated lovely for my mums big day. The actual rooms were comfy, clean, comfy bed and cosy, I slept so well! All the staff couldn't do enough for all of us, not one miserable or unfriendly member of staff!
I just can't recommend this place enough! Thank you to you all.
