Absolutely amazing grounds and cottages! Our cast and crew of Aloha Surf Hotel stayed there for 1 week and it was the best experience many of us had on location. Nona Lani Cottages is located right across the street from a gorgeous beach and there are great restaurants less than 3 miles away!

Great place, combination Gilligans island and enchanted garden. Right across from the beach. Wonderful people, comfy beds. Plenty of mangoes.

Great place to stay! My (now) wife and I stayed here 3 nights and had our wedding here. The grounds are beautiful, the cottages are everything you need for a place to sleep and hangout. The beach is just across the street; you can walk there in less than a minute! I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone who is looking for something other than your typical hotel or condo. Also, the view from cottage one is amazing! It is the most unobstructed view of the ocean and mountains in the distance.

The cottages have a wonderful location. Very simple parking. Easy to pull off of the street and on. During my vacation at this place I found it to be kind of junkie. There was never enough hot water to bath. The water was cold. Ugh! A cold shower every day. Everyday! Cold shower! The kitchen did not have enough utensils to fully cook a meal. We ran out of paper towels and toilet paper. The sheets are far below average. Our bed Was a joke. The most uncomfortable bed I have slept in since I was a young teenager. Certainly not for an adult by any means. The place was just cheap. The most uncomfortable bed I have slept in since I was a young teenager. Oh I said that already. Certainly not for an adult by any means. The place was just cheap. Someone came up to our private cottage at 9 PM use the garden hose to water the neighboring cottage three nights in a row. This was disturbing and invasion of privacy. Very unusual. We had the same towels for over a week. We had to do our own laundry there is not a service to come clean your room. Interesting enough there’s construction going on at both units next to where we were staying it started early in the morning and ended about 5 PM at night. There’s construction debris all over the place. We were never told about the construction until we checked in. It was very noisy and ongoing and continuous through our entire stay. Ugh!

Really nice 0ittle quiet place ran by a family. Highly recommend!

We arrived late night. In the morning we woke up to beautiful exotic plants. We checked in to the aloha spirit of the staff. Mahalo!

It was an unusual trip for my sister and I to make in such short notice. My sister came across the Nona Lani cottages. We were welcomed by the family with open arms and a beautiful place to reflect. It was relaxing and there was no hustle and bustle. To sit on the Lanai and taking all its beauty, smells, and geckos talking to you. The sounds of the waves from across the street made it even more magical. We no longer have a place to stay when we visit Maui as our dad just passed away. To my sister and I the Nona Lani cottages will now be our home away from home. Mahalo to the Kong family. Aloha from Texas.

We could not have stayed in a better place! This was my third trip to Maui and Nona Lani Cottages beats anywhere I’ve stayed before! Great for couples! I’ll definitely stay here next time I visit Maui!

Beautiful view with great hosts to help with the check-in process. Cottages are gorgeous and very accommodating.

We stayed here for 10 days in February, 2018. Having driven by the cute cottages many times in the past, I was a little disappointed that we were booked into a suite, but it turned out well! We are not resort people. We have visited and/or spent time on every Hawaiian island and have done all the activities, over the past 20 years. Our stay at Nona Lani (Suite C) is at the top of our list of favorites. They offer a uniquely old Hawaiian experience. With 2 acres of gorgeous tropical garden, a private entrance (shared with the other 2 suites) and a back lanai with a lemon tree plumerias, and many other flowers, entertaining geckos and peace and quiet. There was nothing missing! The suite is like a little house with plenty of room, a frig, a huge walk in shower, comfy bed with beautiful linens, well maintained original art deco tiles, it was just what I love about Hawaii. We even had a major tropical rainstorm! … and the 2 miles of beach across So Kehei Rd. With wonderful sunsets! I hope to be back soon. :)

It was a wonderful stay. The room was big and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I agreed this was our favorite hotel that we stayed at during our vacation. It only has about 10 units which made check-in and parking easy. The room had a cool vintage feel and was very large with a large bathroom and outdoor patio. It had the best bed we slept on during this trip (which included a stay at a resort in Wailea. ) Our highlights were seeing sea turtles at Charly Young beach about 1 mile south, getting shaved ice and pastries 8 blocks north, and just relaxing on the porch and looking at the beautiful garden.

A great place to be. Quiet and well away from the ‘must be’ hotel / beach areas. Beach only a few metres away and was deserted when we visited in September. Parking spaces. Welcoming check-in. Clean and well furnished cottages. Sunsets amazing.

Nona Lani Cottages is having a piece of paradise all to yourself. If you like peacefulness and getting away from crowds this is the place for you. The cottage was recently updated and beautiful. It included a nice patio deck with soft lights for enjoying the evening. And being right across the road from the beach is awesome as well. The family was very friendly and we truly loved getting a fresh lei upon our arrival in the traditional Hawaiian way. Perfect!

Attended a wedding of close friends… impressed with the facilities and overall sense of aloha… surprising ambiance and feeling.

Peaceful quiet private great views with beach right across the street.

Small hotel with 8 cottages and 3 suites located near the beach. Also, freshness is sold quietly, the colourful Hawaiian flower wreaths. The checkin ran smoothly. Our suite was comfortably furnished, about the level of good motels on the mainland. There is no walking distance from the beach.

The rooms are clean and it's close to everything. Beach right across the street.

Cozy rooms right on the beach. Fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves. Conveniently located near several restaurants and shops. If I had to pick one thing to criticize it would be that I wished the (free) Wi-Fi was a little stronger.

Relax in a part of old Hawaii. A tropical garden setting with ocean views and no big resort crowds. Take a nap in the hammock, watch the sunset from your private lanai in one of the ocean view cottages. Step back in time, enjoy nature and rejuvenate your soul. A longtime favorite for an island getaway.
