We had a great stay at the Spencer cabin. A huge plus for us is that it was pet friendly! The hot tub was great and the cabin was overall very clean. My only complaint would be the shortage of certain basic amenities like dishwasher detergent and trash bags, but we were able to go to the store and get those. We will come again!
We stayed at the Sugar Shack. Everything was clean and had all we needed for two. The only complaint is the placement of the faucet on the jacuzzi. You can’t lean back on one side or it is in your back.
We visited the Almost Heaven cabin for our honeymoon on November 19, 2022. Everything was perfect. Cabin was very clean and neat. My husband surprised me with the upgrade honeymoon packages of rose petals on the bed and walkways to a awesome steak dinner in the refrigerator. We will spend our anniversary there next year. We traveled to the area for a wedding and stayed in a 3 bedroom cabin. The cabin was clean, ready early and extremely well equipped. It even had a Crock-Pot! I've never stayed anywhere before where they actually provide enough towels, but we had more than enough for our family of 6. The hot tub was lovely and the water pressure in the showers was amazing. The owner and her staff were so helpful and kind at check-in. We can't wait to come back and stay again when we have more time to explore.

Country Road Cabins is such a great place to spend your vacation or just a quick weekend get away. The cabins are so clean, the staff is beyond helpful. They actually treat you like family. I fell in love with the cabins the first time I stayed and I go back regularly.
Our family of 5 just stayed in the Pillow Rock cabin for 4 days, and it wasn’t enough. The cabin was immaculate, picturesque, conveniently located, relaxing, and so many more words that just don’t do it justice! The staff was incredibly friendly and had tips for rainy day activities as we had 3 children 10 and under to keep occupied. From the board games, photo scavenger hunt, puzzles, rock painting, porch covered hot tub, being able to stand above clouds as they roll into the valley and so much more, you will never run out of ways to entertain the whole family while also getting to relax and enjoy a vacation at the same time. The kids loved their bedrooms and for once I actually fit into the bed without my feet hanging off the bed or sciatica acting up (this coming from a guy 6’4” and about 260 pounds) We also stayed at what was supposed to be a resort after we stayed at the cabins, and when we checked in all of our kids and my wife and I regretted not staying longer at the cabin. I have been to Disney World countless times and resorts from California to New York including honeymooning in Hawaii and none of the resorts I’ve been to have taken my breath away like Country Road Cabins. The location is also perfect as it’s no more than an hour and a half (ish) from anywhere you want to go in West Virginia, which tends to fly by from all of the breathtaking views you get from the drive.

I’ve stayed at a bunch of specialty lodging and this place is by far amazing! So close to so many restaurants, attractions, and the National park but yet so secluded on its own! So clean and spacious and has everything in it you could need. Even wood for late night fires. I would recommend this place to families, couples or just about anyone! A must stay if you’re in West Virginia.

The family that runs these properties are some of the sweetest, kindest, hard working, thoughtful people I have ever met! Jack went WAAY out of his way to make sure we were safe and warm! (Pun intended 😉) the owner even came down and welcomed us to our cabin, the cleaning crew and maintenance staff were so amazing as well! We stayed at Country Road cabins in the Safari Glamping tent, Wow! The tent is amazing, very clean, very peaceful, and they have you set up with just about everything you need. You can tell a lot of time and thought went into this💙 You will definitely fall in love. The tent at night opened up is absolutely my favorite part. It’s absolutely so serene. Of course who isn’t excited about a bathroom to make you feel at home while your camping…. Also a private hot tub while your camping is definitely top notch. Anyone that has the chance to do this absolutely should. I’m so glad I researched and found this place to stay on our anniversary trip❤️ The gifts that were left for us for our anniversary was so thoughtful:)
The cleanest cabin I've ever stayed in. The hot tub was also immaculately clean. It was beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. They were completely booked up and it was still quiet and peaceful. Everything I needed to cook was there and in good shape. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, I can't wait to go back again!

The place is was super clean and beautiful. It was the perfect getaway for our anniversary and we definitely plan to come back. There were gorgeous views everywhere and although our stay was affected by covid-19 there is so much around to do and have fun.

Cabin laurel! Our first real honeymoon! Greeted by wine, this place was beautiful. We fixed steaks on the grill, had a fire in a beautiful stone fireplace. Then wine in the hot tub. The next day we hiked, to the most beautiful trails. We hade the best time.

We had a wonderful weekend here with our 2 kids and their mates! We had enough room and there were extensive kind accommodations noted throughout our kitchen and cabin! We enjoyed watching the mama deer and her older fawns feeding in the woods near our cabin! Thank you! We would love to return!
Once again Country Road Cabins did not disappoint. This was our family's second stay at CRC in the "Lost Paddle". It was as clean and well equipped as I remembered it from last year! Everything is so clean, especially the grill! This year we added a fire ring for s'more making which my grandkids loved. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make meals, even an electric griddle for pancakes! My grandkids are now referring to "the Lost Paddle" as our very own cabin and we are already looking forward to next year's trip. The New River area offers so many great outdoor activities to keep you occupied or you can just relax on the porch of the cabin. Kudos again to the housekeeping staff for doing such a great job! We stayed at the Laurel Cabin. This cabin is amazing. It was just what we needed. The cabin is small and in the woods. You get the feel you are all alone. The hot tub on the back porch is a great addition. The staff was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend this cabin for a romantic get away.
We loved this place. The cabins are very well maintained and have everything you need while still feeling like you are away from the world for a while. Having the hot tub as well was such an added treat. We walked the grounds to view the other cabins. Each one feels secluded and relaxing. An added bonus was how close we were to the bridge. I had no idea we could go down into the canyon to view the bridge from below. We will most definitely be going back again.
My husband & I have celebrated a number of anniversaries with Country Road Cabins. The cabins are always clean. The staff is very friendly & knowledgeable. The cost is affordable and you are SO close to SO many attractions! This our favorite anniversary destination!
What a fantastic find! We stayed for two days and wish we had booked time to stay even longer. We got there on Mother's Day and found that our girls had called ahead to have flowers, a meat and cheese plate, and a fruit basket delivered to the treehouse cabin. The cabin is amazing! Thanks for making us feel welcome for a couple days.
We booked the Appalachian Cabin for a Friday & Saturday night stay mid April 2018. The cabin was cozy, clean, and the kitchen was well stocked! There was even coffee. By the way the coffee maker didn’t have a shutoff timer so do remember to turn it off manually. We used the gas grill for dinner and I always bring a liner. You never know what condition to expect so I was surprised by how clean the grill was. Saturday evening was a bit chili so after a relaxing soak in the hot tub we Enjoyed a cozy fire in the big stone fireplace in the living room. I especially appreciated the leather furnishings. Beds were ok, and there was plenty of towels but the bathrooms were very small. No surface space on the vanity and tight shower stall. Don’t forget to bring shampoo and a blow dryer. Our room had 2 steam irons in the closet but no hair dryer. The decor was kind of Dollar Store motif but It was a very nice stay and I would definitely book again.
We decided spur of the moment to get away for our honeymoon! I called and lucky for us they had a cancellation. We booked the sugar shack yurt! Very friendly staff made the process easy! We arrived and everything was just as they had said it would be. I was very happy with the cleanliness of the cabin and everything worked properly. We had a bottle of champagne, rose petals and a personal card waiting for us. We loved the privacy yet the convince of it being located to serval attractions! I am sure we will visit again! Absolutely loved our stay at the Treehouse Cabin! So clean and well stocked with everything we need. Definitely the coolest place we have ever stayed! The staff was so helpful with our booking, and they left chocolates waiting for us when when we arrived. We will be back!

I was not impressed with this place for $200+/night. Amenities are very basic. The bed was very firm and uncomfortable. And they will find a way charge you for anything. It says “pet friendly” but you have to call ahead of time & pay a $50 fee, in addition to the very expensive cabin. We stayed in the Mountaineer cabin, only because my original booking for the Love Shack was cancelled, NOT by me. I made a reservation on 1/27 for a weekend in March, and later received emails stating the dates were for April, which I did not do. I called and they tried to blame me for inputting incorrect dates. The cabin I originally booked was already rented for my March weekend by the time I saw my email, and if I hadn’t seen the email we might not have had a cabin to stay in when we arrived. They did however put us in a different cabin with no charge, as they should. When we got there to drop one of our cars off the envelope with the door code was already on the door so I went in. Then they called me to charge a $25 early check-in fee. But they only called because the card on file had been reported stolen and they couldn’t run it. I don’t think they would have called to tell me otherwise. Overall, it was a very basic rental for nearly $500 for 2 nights. Not worth it in my opinion.
