This is a fabulous place. I stayed there last year for a ridgefield concert. Super nice people and beautiful grounds! Nice area to walk our dogs. Very dog friendly. Kind of a steep dog fee.

Me and my dad enjoyed. We came from a 6 hour train ride after we where so tired when we got to our rooms the best was really comfortable and easy to sleep on. It made our day. And I hope one day the owner replys saying that we did so a good job u guys are awesome.

Beware to LOCALS. This hotel does NOT rent to people who live within 25 miles and doesn’t warn people of that. I nearly was turned away the night before the biggest exam of my life (with no hotels open in the area and pending large road closures). The lack of empathy and understanding for the situation was disgusting. The woman at the front desk was unhelpful, rude, and didn’t care about my circumstances. We will NEVER come here again. She questioned how the room was booked when one of their own employees failed to ask where we were originally from. Fortunately, I’m from a different state so I was able to get a room under my name. But, if my mom had been the only person they would have turned away our business. I don’t know why a hotel would discriminate against someone based on their geography and then have ZERO understanding of our frustration when it was their fault for not warning us prior to booking. Customer service is horrible here.

Newer hotel with everything in good condition but… 1. We had 3 people in the room with two queen beds but only 2 complementary coffee mugs were provided. 2. Only bed side tables provided for 2 out of 4 possible guests. 3. Fridge and A/C were extremely loud during the night. 4. Airplanes seem to fly over on the way to the nearby airport and these can be even louder than the fridge and A/C. 5. Breakfast makes you wonder what you are eating… Very little seems fresh.

My preferred place to stay when in Portland for business. The rooms are clean, staff friendly and responsive. The breakfast in the morning is great too, cheese omelets! The pool and fitness facilities are a bit spartan but sufficient for most needs. The hotel is located near a pay by use 24 hour gym which is also convenient. The area also has plenty of dining and shopping options.

Easy check in, was around restuarants, quiet, great breakfast, quick freeway access not a lot of traffic.

This trip could have turned very bad very quickly. But thankfully Q at the front desk was able to get everything under control and resolved in a timely and professional manner. Of course all these issues could have been avoided right off the bat if I would have booked directly with the hotel and not through a third party. We also had the pleasure of meeting Bob during our stay. Bob was extremely helpful and helped us find plates and forks and knives and napkins and all that stuff for a dinner we wanted to have in our room. He went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed. Our room was perfect the beds were wonderful to sleep in everything was clean and stocked and just amazing. The breakfast area was extremely busy in the morning but the one breakfast person working was super friendly and kept right on top of everything it was great. So thank you Holiday Inn Express and especially thank you Q and Bob for the wonderful experience, I really appreciate the way you both went above and beyond to make sure mine and my family's stay was amazing!

Very clean hotel. Amenities were great. The staff was very helpful. We needed extra blankets and they brought them almost immediately. The staff that worked the breakfast were the best! They were curious and made conversations easy. They had good ideas for our day trips and were very kind to my kids. I will definitely stay here again when I. Back in the area.

Friendly staff. Rooms were nice and it's location is close to the freeway and shopping areas. Room pricing seems high, but it is in Portland. Overall nice place to stay.

I booked a room at this hotel for my daughter’s 10th birthday. Before booking my room online I called the hotel to find out if they had any rooms that could accommodate me. I was advised to go online and book the room quickly because they were filling up due to graduations which was causing the prices to rise. After booking my room I called the holiday inn a few days later asking if I could come in and view the room to make sure it was big enough for me to throw my daughter 10th birthday party. When I arrived a lady who identified herself as the manager walked me through showed me the pool and took me up to the room that I booked and I explained to her that I was having at 10th birthday party for my daughter and I wanted to know exactly what time The girls had to stop making noise and what time the pool closed. She advised me that the pool closed at 9 PM and there was no limit on sound because they have parties there all the time and actually she just had a party with teenage boys and no one complained. I explained to her that it would be about five kids along with myself and my husband and other people may join for the party. She explained that the room was big enough because it was a two room suite and not to worry about anything but if I was worried I could book the party room but the party room hours were until 9 PM.

First time here and I would return. Staff has been excellent. Bed was very comfortable. Room was way larger then I expected. I am impressed.

Great motel, hard to access from road. Staff very friendly towards our dog.

Exterior was good, lobby was nice, rooms a little dated but in good shape. Staff was friendly and did take care of me. The reason for the three stars is more because the bathroom seemed like housekeeping did the bare minimum to clean it, plus both times I had been here the tub wouldn't drain while taking a shower.

Staff is very nice. Hotel is in okay location, but you will need to drive everywhere. There's a big box store area nearby, but not much else (other than a trailer park). Rooms are clean and hotel was pretty quiet. Good array of breakfast items, though the small breakfast room does get packed. Basically it's what you'd expect from this brand. Solid value but nothing fancy.

This HIE & Suites is the place to stay. The rooms are spacious and have queen beds, not full like the airport location. The breakfast provided was delicious and the staff was very accommodating. For the same cost, the airport location doesn't provide breakfast. Stay here!

Nice small hotel with a warm indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast included. Great for families that need amenities but don't want to spend a ton. There is nothing fancy here but it's clean, beds are comfortable, and staff is friendly.

Will never stay here again I was so offended by the way I was treated. It upset my kids and my family and I do not recommend this place for anyone. Nothing but racist and judgemental staff, the dog in the room next door barking til 11:30pm was the cherry on top. Ruined our entire trip.

This hotel has the nicest people working there! It has adequate parking and easy to get to. The rooms are clean and comfortable, except the cot.

Very comfortable hotel. Have stayed here multiple times over past couple years and will continually book here when back in the area in the future. Comfortable beds and amenities in rooms and wonderful choice of breakfast in mornings is a plus as well. Highly recommended.

It's a regular Holiday Inn. A mile away is the shopping center. It's pretty good. Two Starbucks too… in Portland. Peace.

The staff was quite friendly and they were having a fun Halloween contest. I loved the festive decorations and free breakfast was pretty good. Nice and clean.

Front desk people were very friendly and outgoing… room was clean and comfy, as most Holiday Inn Express are, hotel was very quiet, pool and spa were nice (and they said we could even use it past the posted hours if we liked), and the the breakfast was fresh and tasty… we even noticed they were changing out breads and other foods often to keep them from serving anything stale. They even offered us boxes and bags to take snacks out for the day. Great overall stay!

Good clean room, decent breakfast. They messed up my credit card info (I tried to prepay) but it was fixed by the time I left. Over all your usual holiday inn experience.

I come here every time I pass threw Portland for the sole reason the customer service & friendlyness is above standards! It's always a very clean and cozy hotel they make you feel at home. And right the shopping is right there Target, Ross, TJ Max and food… the list goes on!

Hotel is good, pretty standard Holiday Inn Express. Room is nice and clean. The pool is surprisingly nice and even has a dry sauna! A welcomed sight on a work trip. The only reason for three stars is the location, it's actually in an inconvenient spot and the traffic during rush hour makes it horrible to get too! Overall, nice place, no complaints other than location.

Location: hotel is located roughly 15 mins north of downtown Portland. Relatively easy commute. Would we picked this one to save cost. Nothing interesting nearby. Room: AC is a little loud. TV quality is a bit poor. Bed is comfy. Service: all of the staff are friendly :)

A group of us came down to Portland for Tikikon and stayed at the Holiday Inn. Sammy is such a wonderful woman! She was so personable, friendly, kind, generous and really an all out great human! After the show, Bob let us store all of our gear in a locked room. After checkout, another sweet woman let us leave our luggage with the gear while we went into town to get breakfast. The bed was super comfortable and the pillows were AWESOME! I honestly can't say enough good things about our visit! Thanks Sammy & Bob!

Sammy at the front desk was the nicest, most helpful receptionist I've ever checked in with. Extremely genuine and helpful! The hotel itself is as nice as you would expect a Holiday Inn Express to be. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. Getting down to Portland can be a challenge over the bridge due to traffic, which is something to keep in mind, but it's a much quieter area than down in the city. It's in a nice area though and there's enough stores within a short distance to help out when on a trip.

Wife and I stayed during our anniversary trip. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Staff new we were there for anniversary and we came back to the hotel that evening to an anniversary card, bottle of wine, and two towels folded like swans, on the bed. It was so nice of them to do this. Had a great experience and would reccommend this location.

This is a very well run establishment. I'm amazed to see that it's only rated as a two-star hotel; I felt like it was a four star hotel when you factor in the quality of the room, the towels, bedding, Wi-Fi, Direct TV, fridge, Kuereg coffee maker and breakfast. We really loved that there is actual ventilation in the bathroom; you almost never get that. The staff are awesome the location is super convenient to Portland, Vancouver and it's within close proximity to all that tax free retail!

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience staying here. My 1st room had ants, I informed the front desk and requested a new room. The front desk was neither surprised nor apologetic. The second room was okay, but then I started to notice bug bites on my skin, I kept noticing new bites 1 week after I left and the symptoms of that still exists now 4 weeks later! I contacted the manager after my stay there to let him know about my experience and he did offer some compensation, which I appreciate, but it does not alleviate the bites and symptoms. I will not be staying here again on my next Portland trip.

Bad experience, there were ants on some spots on carpet and in the bathroom. Price was expensive plus bunch of taxes, county tax room, tourism tax, state tax etc.

Place is alright. Prices are pretty good. Breakfast has some good options with eggs and sausages. You can hear through the rooms like there are no walls though.

I got the suite and was a bit let down. Other than that. Everything was great. Friendly staff. Good service. Clean rooms. Would book again.

Stayed here on a recent trip with my family, and I must say the customer service is atrocious. Absolutely the worst guest experience I have had at a Holiday Inn Express, or any hotel for that matter. The incompetence of the front desk agent ruined our entire stay, but they have a fantastic breakfast bar lady! Stay at a different hotel if you can, even if you have to spend a little more money.

There were ANTS in my room small black ANTS in my room crawling all over a empty Coca-Cola can and there was crumbs left over on the table and it was swarmed with ants and also near the AC there was a stream of ants running back and forth. Talked to the dude at the front desk and he didn't seem to care.
