I dont know why or how this hotel is listed as a 3 star. The beds weren't made properly and they were very soft and uncomfortable. The first towel I grabbed didn't appear to be clean. There is nothing here that gives the impression that it's superior to a motel 6 other than a nicer lobby.

Great place to stay. Right next to the hospital.

The clerks were ABSOLUTELY very kind and helpful. I was there almost 2 weeks while my husband was in the hospital (Sacred Heart). Our room and beds were PERFECT, VERY CLEAN! Very SAFE walk to & from the hospital. I would highly recommend the madison! thank again for the great hospitality ❤️candy.

The Madison has been my home away from home due to my husband having kidney transplant. Each time we have stayed the management has went above and beyond to treat me well. I will admit a few of the front desk employees seem a little rude but management has always helped to make sure I am taken care of while my husband is across the street at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. I have stayed there several times. Twice I have stayed a month at a time. The managers always stepped in and helped. Both gentlemen have gave me the best pricing available and always make me feel welcome.

I tested positive for COVID 19 and the hotel would not change my reservation date past my quarantine date. I had to pay for the stay and management would not work with me, at all. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Really nice staff. Hotel is tucked away in a neighborhood and away from the freeway noise, but close to downtown. Dog-friendly and quite comfortable.

Made false report to CPS for a cancer patients which was proved false the staff called me and my wife scum for asking the manager for his boss.

This is a clean and nice hotel that is literally on the campus of Sacred Heart hospital. It will be our home for a few days. The rooms are smallish. The toilet paper is very thin. It is clean, comfortable, and affordable. The building isn’t young, but it’s obviously been well kept.

I had a long stay and the staff was wonderful. They always checked on me.

While staying here I found the room to be very dirty. Tissues still in the trash can. There was hair and toilet paper in the toilet. Didn't make me feel comfortable to sleep here.

We couldn’t ask for a closer proximity to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. Essentially it’s across the street.

There good ppl they will help you with any questions you need also your room is very nice just all around good place to be.

When I stay at the madison inn, all my needs are more than met, the accommendations are clean and comfortable and I always feel safe there which is important because I am often alone. The staff is effiecient and friendly, the breakfast room is pleasent and comfortable as well. However the best part of my stay there was joseph who attends the breakfast room. He is caring with an attitude that birghtened my days. His positive attitude helped to carry me through some very difficult days.

Stayed at the Madison Inn as our regular hotel was full. We had problems with the hotel from the moment we checked in. We arrived at 4am due to travel delays. The check in lady was very friendly and helpful. 6 hours later we surprised to see that we had a note for a mandatory check on our room as per the hotel policy it was. I can understand having a room check but we just after we arrived. All other hotels do a check a day or two after checking in not 6 hours. We had to make arrangements with housekeeping during certain hours. Was a bit of a pain. That same night we received a message on the room phone saying about the damage deposit was not left when we checked in and the hotel had to protect themselves so we needed to leave a $50 deposit. Not problem. I guess the night lady didn’t take a damage deposit when we checked in and that she would have to be written up fr not taking the deposit. It was very uncomfortable as I would not want anyone to get in trouble. The day staff was not friendly! They wouldn’t even look at you or say hello if you walked by. The afternoon/night staff was very friendly. I thought it was just me but my husband had the same issue. Hotel is great if you are in Spokane for a medical appointment as the hospital is right at the end of the parking lot. But if you are on a vacation it feels like a hospital and best to stay elsewhere as even the other guest aren’t that friendly.

Stayed a few nights at the Madison Inn for a work trip. The setup is a bit different than usual, with the lobby on the 3rd floor, since it's up on a hill. I had to head down to the 1st floor to get to my room. The room was clean, and seemed to have a brand-new mattress on each of the beds. Sheets were clean and white. Walls were thicker than many hotels, though you can still hear a neighbor here and there. I was also right next to the stairwell, and you can sometimes hear a door slamming. But it's not terribly loud. TV was good, though no HBO or other premium channels were offered. Staff was quite friendly, greeting me at the door and helpfully offering me cookies that were quite tasty. There's a hot breakfast that's available to guests, though I didn't have time to eat any of it. Looked like there was coffee, cereal, tiny pancake things.?, and I think eggs, to name a few things. I may try to hit that next time I'm in town. Location is great, being close to downtown Spokane, but not right in downtown. It's up on a hill, too, so upper floors may have a decent view of the city. The breakfast area has a great set of windows to look out toward downtown. Right on the same block are food and drink options, so you can walk for some Qdoba, or hit up the local bar Press to get a nightcap. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. It's not going to be a 5-star place, but it's friendly, clean, and a nice hotel for the price. Based on my first experience, I would definitely stay here again.

I picked this place because of their pet policy, price, and location. All of which, I was very pleased with. I arrived late and checked in very easily and quickly. The room was clean and comfortable. I slept very well, and the provided breakfast was pretty good. All in all, very happy with my experience here. Would stay again, especially if traveling with a pet.

Wonderful reminded me of the Hilton in Portland, OR. If your staying over night for a procedure at hospital, they have the best discountselection on places to eat, free parking at hospital, or walk across street. Quite, very clean great beds. I've stayed at other hotels by hospital & this is the best. I'd stay there even if I wasn't visiting hospital without the discount. Easy to get to Division St. Easy accessto freeway. If you don't know Spokane well. Plus the service is friendly & knowledgeable. You can't go wrong staying here!

The Madison Inn is such a special place to stay. Quiet, very clean, nice rooms. But what makes it so special is the staff — I have never stayed at a facility with such kind, caring and helpful staff. I know most guests stay at the Madison because of it's proximity to the medical facilities but this would be a good place for business travelers as well as for anyone visiting Spokane.

Very nice clean place. Large comfortable rooms. Breakfast is okay and shower pressure is a little low. Very reasonable able priced. I would stay here again.

Very clean and comfortable. The staff was generally good natured and enjoyable to interact with. The only negative was when my husband got scooted out of the breakfast bar by the gal running it. I understand the need for efficiency, but some people simply want to enjoy their time dawdling and eating.

We had pleasant time up at the Madison. The staff was friendly and very courteous and helpful. We would stay there again should circumstances occurred again in what we had. Thank you.

2018 FOLLOWUP — — We are again at the Madison Inn with our daughter. This facility remains a quiet, clean island of peace in the midst of overly busy days. Special shout out to Ty, who personally made sure our daughter's bed and amenities were as perfect as he could make them for her. We will definitely return to this quiet hotel near Shriners Hospital and other medical centers. The staff was helpful and kind about fulfilling our special needs. This would have been 5 stars, except the room and bathroom weren't wheelchair accessible for our girl on wheels.

With only 5 minutes away from the hospital easily a walk. One of the best hotels as far as cleanliness comfort and helpfulness. They really wanted to make our stay the best and they succeeded.

Very nice hotel, good location! Nice breakfast in the morning. The staff is wonderful, always extremely polite and always smile as they pass by. The manager Cory is super great as well as Heather who works the front desk. She makes everything that much better!

Clean, affordable. The queen bed mattress was too hard for me to sleep on, so I slept in the twin with my three year old — it was much softer. Overall a pleasant stay, would stay again.

Walking distance to Sacred Heart Hospital! I came to support my sister thru her heart surgery. The hotel has been very nicely remodeled. The staff is super nice and very responsive. I have no complaints to offer. We really have enjoyed our stay.

We stay at the Madison monthly well I undergo a medical procedure at Sacred Heart. We so appreciate that the medicine is clean, calm, and friendly to its guests. It's also very reasonable and just across the street from the hospital.

I really like this place! Only one thing that I would change is the mattress. Our bed wasn't very comfortable. Everything was clean and looking good. Very convenient location to the hospital and events at the Glover Mansion.

Awesome place to stay! Super comfortable beds//pillows. Hot breakfast including biscuits & gravy! We will most definitely return to this inn next time we stay in Spokane!

The Inn is nestled in a cozy area of Spokane that was very quiet for a Saturday night. The rooms were nice, but plain. Nothing to write home about. Very good for the price for the location. Rooms were clean, but small; beds were firm. Felt safe. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Would recommend if looking for plain, simple, cheap, and easy access. If looking for cozy and comfy with all amenities, probably look elsewhere.

Really take care of people needing a place to stay while a loved one is at Sacred Heart — good rates, walking distance. Microwave & refrigerator in room. Breakfast not too bad.

Friendly, cheerful, professional staff; nice, quiet rooms; great pillows (extras are in the room) ; all amenities except lotion. Liked the room with king bed & shower stall. Tricky but fun location–print your own map from Google and plan your route ahead of time. They enjoy our pets, and it's so clean you can't tell it's pet-friendly.

Fluffy towels, nice pillows, big bed, friendly people, pretty quiet, tasty free breakfast, free parking. Great value. We would stay again.

Great place to stay. Clean and everyone was friendly. Right across from the hospital so it's perfect if that's your destination. Only minor concern is that there seemed to be limited parking, and we had trouble finding a spot close by when we got back late.

The Madison Inn needs to pay a little more attention to detail when it comes to their maintenance of their bathrooms. To include making sure that all the drains drain properly and that they have properly working shower heads. As well as making sure that their sheets that they use on the beds fit the beds properly so that they do not come off when you untuk the bed.

Probably the most unprofessional hotel leaders I have ever encountered! Specifically their Assistant Manager (I won’t stoop and post your name but you know who you are little fella). Multiple issues, constantly blaming the “new system” they are having issues with and ultimately because of weak leadership at the Management position! The rest of their staff are simply following a terrible example. Most of their younger employees were great, always nice, but that doesn’t mean I want you to play with my credit card or not deal with a problem. Example you may ask: I called to speak with a manager after leaving the establishment and returning to GA, to find out I was still reserved for a room that I had checked out of the day before… a family member informed me of this! I was on the phone with the ASSISTANT MANAGER whom handed the call off to an employee to deal with he issue! Again, WEAK LEADERSHIP example, thus the root of the problem when you check out and aren’t completely checked out… manager teaching to not fulfill duties ultimately becomes detrimental to your establishment. Use CASH ONLY if you must stay here for any reason! NEVER will I stay here again.

Great location if you have a child at the hospital. You can walk easily back and forth to avoid the parking chaos and they offer a reduced rate! Clean, casual, quiet… wish they had more amenities for shower time, though.

Madison Inn offers a helpful discount to guests having medical treatment nearby. Clean, quiet, and there is a lovely "living room" sitting area. Have stayed here 3 times, and will return.

We've stayed here several times for medical issues with my daughter. Rooms have always been clean, staff is great and I really enjoy the breakfast.

Very clean motel. Relaxing and quiet setting. Not the easiest place to find, even using the directions on the website. Breakfast is limited, but good. Parking lot will fill, and additional parking is parallel along the entrance leading to motel. Not ideal for people unable to walk a longer distance, but worked for us. Is an ideal location for family visiting the hospital.

Nice hotel. Rooms were clean. Shower had consistent hot water. Breakfast sausages were some of the best I have ever had. The rest of the breakfast was about what one would expect. Good, but nothing else that stands out foe a hotel breakfast. The location was fabulous. Five to ten minutes from the campus, medical center and downtown. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only complaint would be the elevator was slow and seemed outdated. Although It did work fine. It is probably easier just to use the stairs. It would only be up to a possible three flights at most anyways. Otherwise, for the price I wou of recommend it.

My family of three stayed here for eight days under the medical rate while my mom was receiving surgery at Sacred Heart. Best. Inn. Ever. Super polite and courteous staff. Clean beds and showers. I'm borderline OCD when it comes to cleanliness and this place passed. They clean the room daily, making/changing sheets and taking the trash out. I didn't have any complaints or issues with a single thing. I would definitely return!

This place has been a godsend. Our daughter has been hospitalized over a month at Sacred Heart. It's quiet, it has a very comfortable atmosphere. The public area has small tables for seating, whether for the continental breakfast, or cards. The furniture is comfortable. It feels very private even with other people in the room. I've been without a car so the proximity to the hospital is ideal.

Front desk, not friendly. Had to give them a $50.00 deposit in case any of their towels or sheets came up missing. Bed and pillows would have been out dated 10 years ago. This place was booked by my office. NEVER again would I stay here. It wouldn't make a good pet motel! The best thing about this place, was getting in a cab and leaving!

Horribly rude staff at the Madison in Spokane. They were not polite when we checked in or checked out. The room was small, only had one end table and the bed was terribly uncomfortable.

It was perfect for visiting my mother, who was in the hospital. Just across the street! Nice simple rooms with everything you need!

My family stayed here in February of 2015. My husband had to have hip surgery. The cleaning staff was great but the lady at the front desk was so rude. Every morning when we would go for breakfast she was just glare at my four boys and even told them to only take what they'll eat. Then when I decided to avoid that after the second day, she told me that I couldn't take food back to our room because the maids said the room was dirty. We had a do not disturb sign on our door the entire time, they weren't even supposed to go in there! And our room was very clean, I made sure of it. We had paid for the week, we checked out early and stayed at Days Inn on 3rd street. Much much better all around. The Madison Inn had horrible staff in February I hope they have been replaced since then.

This hotel is understaff, it takes a while to check in because there is only one person working the front desk, and another staff behind the room. Elevator creaks, no view at window in hotel room, shower was clogged, and draining takes more than 20 mins. The room is Clean, microwave, fridge included, hotel include a tranquility room with wall decorated of water fall, include landry machines (each use is $1). Reclining chairs, table with two chairs, No AC in hallway, feels very stuffy, the hotel turns off the AC. The room doesnt include small bottle of lotion, only has shampoo and soap. Coffee and tea at the lobby is served 24 hours, spacious and lots of seating, had window view. Many elderly stay in the hotel room, and they need more staff to help them with luggages.

Best option if you're in town to visit Sacred Heart. Very clean and well priced. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

HORRIBLE! Staying at a motel as a last option for myself and my two kids and the manager who has NO compassion towards domestiv violence OR special needs children called our room at 1 pm to say that my crying baby was disturbing other guests and that I should find a way to make her be quiet. When explaining the situation on our way to checking out he says "Well, doesn't she have a pacifier or something? " I will NEVER refer anyone here. And it's a shame that this manager turned such a selfless beautiful act of kindness from sacred heart into such a horrible experience. NO KUDOS to you!
