Friendly staff went above and beyond for me. Stained hallway carpet, the rest of the place is immaculately clean. Many redone rooms, good beds, excellent shower head.

This is the second time I have stayed here. It's a good location, close to everything; the room is spacious and clean; and the price is the best you can find. Mind you, it's not luxurious, but it suits me fine.

We had a nice stay at Bay City motor inn… the owners were very nice and the place was well and close to everything. Continental breakfast was amazing and parking was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again!

Have stayed here cheaply. The motel is already older and so is the furniture. It was clean though and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was nothing special and there were only 4 seats of which 2 on a unique sofa. Located close to the freeway but wasn't too loud. The city centre is about 8 minutes by car. There are a few restaurants but around it. Okay for an overnight stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and room quiet. Good price. We enjoyed staying here and would stay again!

Room was dirty! Pubic hair stuck on door, along with some slim that was on the back of the door. The carpet was not vacuumed. It was extremely loud! The room had been smoked in! The door lock was broken. The staff was not helpful nor understanding and charged me ten dollars for using a wash cloth to clean off my make-up on my credit card after check out, even with the complaints. Homeless people lived outside the hotel, making it unsafe to park your vehicle in the parking lot. Was not a family friendly environment. Not worth the price.

My name is Joshua, my girl and I stayed one night. We paid 125 plus tax. When we turned on the jets that night all kinds of brown looking skin came out of the jets. I dont know if it was skin that's just what it looked like. They did refund half the price. But refused to refund the hole price and leave or let us come back another night. The sole purpose of the visit was to have the large tub. I was very displeased with the service and got quite upset after I called back on the phone the next day to talk to the manager and he hung up on me. If you want a large tub to spend some time with your wife, girl friend, know that it will not be cleaned and you will be out the money.

Right from check in I already had a bad feeling about this place. Asked for extra towels after being handed my room key and the staff reacted as if I asked for his first born. He went on to question me why I needed extra towels and unwillingly handed one over. Morning of check out the same man comes knocking on my door harassing me that it's 11 and that I should be out. This was at 1045. I showed him the time on my phone and be proceeded to argue with me about it. I have stayed at the coachman inn and days inn which are both located on the same block. Both are extremely polite and awesome with their customer service. Please dont support this business even if they may be cheaper. Places ran like this inn don't deserve success.

I stay here every time I visit my daughter at WWU. The Bay City motel offers basic, clean overnight accommodation with a free breakfast included. It's conveniently located, the staff is very friendly. For the price I give it 5 stars.

Lack of professionalism, lack of courtesy. Lack of general hospitality industry customer service. Owner of the hotel was checking me in and answered his personal line mid conversation, delaying the process. Hotel is unwelcoming and dated. The room smells musty/muggy as soon as you open the door. Bathroom is tiny and hasn't been deep cleaned in some time. Beds are old and uncomfortable. And the walls are incredibly thin as I heard my neighbors TV word-for-word until almost 4 a. M. I'm in hotels all over Washington 3-4 nights a week. This has by far been the worst hotel I've stayed at. 10/10 will never book this hotel for myself or suggest it to my least favorite person.

Many Years ago, my Partner and I Framed this Motel with the help of a lot of good friends. It has gone through many years of questionable service. I recently received a tour of the remodeled establishment, to my surprise, It has been gone through from top to bottom and the new owners have turned it in to the Best place to stay on the South End of Town.

I was told that my support dog and I could stay for the night. Later in the evening a second employee came in and saw me as I was outside smoking, walking my dog. When I came in, he asked if my dog was a service dog. I told him, he's not a service dog, he's a certified support dog. He told me we had to go. No big deal. What was a big deal was they kept my money for the night. $55 for 2 hours? You'd be better taking your business elsewhere, before they try something like this to you.

I got a great deal on this place, and that's usually what matters most. I think too many people give bad reviews to cheap places without thinking about how it wouldn't be so cheap if it were better, and it was their choice to stay at the cheapest place. There aren't bed bugs and isn't noisy and that's all I really care about. The furnishings were pretty old, but everything worked and wasn't gross, and it was nice that there was a mini fridge and microwave. Their fitness room also has a pool table which I thought was kind of a funny feature haha. There is a grocery store and three pharmacies, several fast food restaurants and every other type of restaurant and shop within a quarter mile, and if there's something else you want you're only half a mile away from downtown and other shopping centers as well as Western Washington University. Their free breakfast had de-shelled hard boiled eggs rather than the fake scrambled kind which I was happy to discover. There was also a waffle machine and the other standard items like cereals, oranges and bananas plus fruit juices and coffee. The staff was also friendly and helpful. If you want the nicest rooms, ask for the first floor — the staff told me that those are the only ones that are fully stocked and renovated with new beds, furniture etc.

Worst service. Ride staff. Owner and manager does not know what does hospitality mean. Stayed for 3 night. Told the manager to get our room and sheet clean. When returned in evening rather apologise manager reply. We change only once once guest check. If not required he replied they don't do. When asked to change them. His owner and manager wants us to leave the hotel. When asked hospitality is your key of service. Reply from owner don't mess with my manager and don't tell me what's is hospitality. Rude manager and owner. I felt I am not safe. Manager was so rude felt like he could attack me. He Abused and said as I have already paid for the night he won't return my money and not let me. If you love your life and family please make sure manager has two guns as well. So safe your life.

Nice rooms, good breakfast, fairly pleasant overall stay, minus the fact that we were woken up by a ladder hitting our window at 9 am when we were trying to sleep in. They were painting the building that day. I was very disappointed that they did not even warn us that something was being done, I had to find out by opening the curtains and being startled by seeing the worker right there in front of me.

This place is wonderful great staff very nice rooms best value for your money. Morning food is okay very limited on choices.

Excellent front desk service, comfortable, clean, quiet, older rooms. A bit smokey smell in hallways. But not nearly as bad as other affordable motels. Free hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, potatoes and the usual yogurt, rolls, juice… Close to freeway and downtown with restaurants across the street and super market around the corner. In the free parking area of town.

Easy in and out. Quick to locate. A little bit dated but definitely a great price!

Turned out to be a nice, privately owned motel in good location, near coffee, restaurants, and groceries. The rooms were clean and the front desk staff was accommodating.

Worst place to stay at. 2nd time I stayed there with the same man working. First time he tried charging me more so I disagreed with him and then was like whatever I'll pay the extra money n he got to mad he refused to give me the room after I already paid, he said he would not only give me the money back or let me stay in a room, he stole my money so I contacted the police and they said it's illegal to take there money and not give it back if he's refusing the room. The police told him he had to let us stay so we stayed. I rented the room this Saturday thinking it's a different day that same guy won't be there. Well I walk in the door and it's hun again, I just pretend I didn't rember him to not cause any conflict and he says "oh it's you again" "I will charge you a deposit this time extra and if you have more then 2 people in the room I will take your deposit" I'm like ok it's just me and my boyfriend, is it nessary to be rude for no reason, here's my card and I'd just give me the room key and charge my card already I'm not guna argue with you. He rolled his eyes and gave he one key, I said can I please have 2, some times I come back before my boyfriend, he stared and said I will charge you if there's more people. I said I already told you can you just give it to me. So he did n that was that. The next morning wheh I was checking out the lady accused me of stealing a hand towel, I'm like are you serious I didn't even bring any lougage with me, we have what we have on us.

Clean average bed 2 pillows but good for the price. Staff was super friendly and breakfast with make your own waffles was delicious! In walking distance to restraunts and other stores.

Great value at a fair price. I got a large clean room, spacious bathroom, and HBO to get my game of thrones on for only $60 a night. The breakfast, included with the room, surprisingly had quite an it of selection like waffles, bagels, yogurt, toast, juice, etc. Friendly and accommodating staff, this place was great!

I got a great deal on this place, and that's usually what matters most. I asked for a room that didn't have neighbors since I knew that my friend and I would be conversing pretty late into the night, and the only room that didn't have neighbors was in the basement floor. As such we could hear the ceiling making noises from people above us walking, but we couldn't hear any other noises. The furnishings were pretty old, but everything worked, and it was nice that there was a mini fridge and microwave. Their fitness room also has a pool table which I thought was kind of a funny feature haha. Right off of the I-5, quick access. This is a legit motel for the price and friendly service I have received. The Wi-Fi works well for me so I can work in my room at night. Decent weight room, clean laundry room. Their free breakfast is very fair when you consider the price of the room. They provide Waffles, cereals, bagels, hard boiled eggs, bananas and orange and some various other things. Best place for my buck in this area. The area by the way has a starbucks with good baristas, Haggen foods, fast food restaurants, fuel and a 7-11. I also recommend when you stay here to eat at the Taco Truck next door, (Aqui Tacos) but $5 gets you a nice plate of food, rice, whole beans. Can;t beat it.

Horrible customer service. Night time hotel clerk is rude and unwelcoming. Sheets had some stains.

This place is a little different. But everything was clean and the staff is super sweet and helpful. We said in the king room with jacuzzi tub. It was awesome! I would definitely said here again.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STAY HERE! My husband and I stayed one night. We upgraded our room for such a great price we thought why not. Seemed clean for the price, and we wanted to stay one more night. My husband went to book another night. My husband handed the man at the desk my card which I said was ok to use to book on only the second night! The man behind the desk swiped my card said he couldn't run it with out MY signature. My husband said no problem she will be here in a moment. So they proceeded to pay the last night with his card. His card declined (that's odd my husband thought) so he called his bank they said the hotel had run his card that night and tried to run it again when paying for the last night! And they ran the deposit! The bank without hesitation reversed the charges. My husband told the man and he was clueless. I got there at this point and we dicided NOT to stay another night. So I went back to pack. Meanwhile my husband payed in cash and the man went to check the room which I had cleaned, stripped the bed and put all the towels together, leaving it easy for the maid. The man came back and handed my husband the cash back and said no problem. We were confused so I asked are you going to run my card then and he said "NO! " And remember I had not signed for my card to go through. We just thought it was a courtesy because of how badly they screwed up! I check my bank account on my phone the next morning and he had run my card without my consent!

Fantastic! Room was nice, TV large, bed huge. Smelled fine, no deep set odors or lingering semi septic smells or the acrid stench of attempted sanitization. A Nice place for the price.

I give it one star because the hotel had a bed and towels. They kept my deposit because they said I got one cigarette ash on a towel and one on the sheets. They told me that the towels were clean when I got them. The receptionist at the front desk wouldnt give me her name because she knew I was mad. I would never stay there again. I also witnessed her telling another guest that was checking out that she wasnt getting her deposit back either. Seems like the cheapest hotel in town, until you check out. That $50 was not theirs to keep. They STOLE my money and threatened to call the police when asked to work with me on a solution to the ash on towel problem. It was ONE ash in a SMOKING room!

We were visiting the WWU campus and wanted to save some money. I was worried it would be sketchy as we booked online. But, we had a very nice experience, everyone was friendly and the room was very CLEAN. We liked the walk to the University, it gave us time to talk and recap our experience on the way back. We also stopped in Haggen on the way back for coffee drinks at Woods!

It was great! My only complaint, and calling it a complaint would be a stretch, would be a few more plastic knives available. I felt bad for taking the last one and forgetting to tell the employees.

The motel is clean and reasonable well appointed. Owners and very friendly and helpful. We were very happy with our 3 night stay at the Bay City Motor Inn in September 2015. It was comfortable and clean. The owners were obliging and helpful in every way. Careful attention and assistance were given when needed Good rates for quality service. Thank you!

Great and clean place to stay. The rooms were very clean and bed is very comfortable. It is close to WWU where I was visiting, just took 2 mins to get there. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was very good. Very affordable price.

A very secure building with reasonable rates. It's a better place to stay on this block, I've been here for years. If you need a place for a month, just ask and you'll get a fair rate with no state sales tax. I'm a single bachelor, and I use my suite as my office/studio apartment w/mini fridge and microwave etc. Their Routers are new and the Internet is High speed. They even have an exercise room. Please try to be patient if you have any problems, and you're here on an extended stay, they'll fix it.

My two friends and I stayed a night here and it was great! It was the perfect little place to stop over in. The rooms were very clean. The staff were very accommodating and very very friendly! When we come back that way we will definitely be staying there again.

I don't like to complain but I must share. I was not happy at all! There was hair on the toilet and in the tub. Mold on the shower curtain and the whole room was very musky smelling. We also had the little suger ants!. I had called made the reservation early enough, you would have thought they could have put us in a better floor, than the LOWER LEVEL! Not so happy with our stay.

This place was amazing. The staff was wonderful and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay. It is nice, clean and we are definitely coming back soon. I highly recommend Bay City Motor Inn. Tiffany S.

Stayed one night before catching the ferry to Alaska. Asked owner if I could store my bags for the day. Best owner could offer was to rent me a room for the day for storage for $30. Went next door to the Coachman Inn instead. Even though I not not stayed at his property, the desk person at the Coachman graciously took my bags for the day for free. Tried to slip him a few bucks as a Thanks you, but he wouldn't take it. Skip this place. Stay next door at the Coachman Inn.
