Best hotel stay we ever had.

Very friendly staff. Especially the breakfast staff! They did an outstanding job in keeping the food dishes filled. The rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable.

Nice and great location having a great time.

Everything was really nice! The breakfast in the morning was so so good and they had a really nice pool and hot pool loved it.

Good stay comfy beds. Have weird small pillows so bring your own. Good pool and hot tub. Super awesome breakfast. Worth the money compared to others. You'll save $30 on breakfast if your a family.

Very great hotel, staff go out their way to make your stay enjoyable. Breakfast is great not just a continental but hot items that changed every day. The indoor pool and hot tub was great after a day out. We will definitely visit again.

My family and I came into Williamsburg around 6pm on a Friday night with reservations at the Quality Inn on York St. It was absolutely the worst experience we had ever had, so we left there with no where to go. Went around the block and stopped in to the Best Western, best decision we made! The staff at the desk where so kind and took excellent care of us, even with no reservations and last minute! It was fantastic, we will be back! Thank you Best Western on York for helping make our vacation awesome!

First of all, the service here is second to none! I award a five star rating for Vanessa, who is NOT even a manager. She runs the front desk — maybe the whole place. I do not think she even sleeps. However, this woman needs a raise, because whatever is needed, SHE IS ON THE BALL. Need more towels for the pool? Quarters for the laundry? Cream for your coffee? Vanessa was there to take care of everything. She was a smiling, one woman show! I just wanted to thank her for a wonderful stay last week. (July 16 — 17, 2018) This Best Western is an older hotel, but clean. It had a glitch in one of the elevators during our stay, but it was fixed rather quickly.

I thought I would wait until the check-out day of my stay to write a review so I could give an accurate review, Here we are, Unfortunately time to leave. The staff were amazing all around, The wait desk, the room attendants the groundsmen, EVERYONE! The rooms were clean at arrival and stayed that way all week. The place is conveniently located to all kinds of things to do/eat. I don't think I have a bad thing to say. We will definitely be coming back!

The location is great, but the guest rooms are small and dark. There was a dead roach in the corner of the room. The bathrooms need exhaust fans. The breakfast area lacks enough seating and fruit flies were always around the trash cans. The employees were fine. This hotel just needs a good cleaning!

Good Day When arriving on Thursday, June 14, 2018 the lobby in Best Western Plus located on 201 Bypass Road looked clean and decent. The staff members were very polite and very accommodating. When I arrived to the first room 421 I opened the door and the room appeared clean so I started to check the beds before I settled in, they seemed okay. I opened the closet to hang up the clothing and that's where the roaches were, four of them looking for a place to hide. I went to the lobby and they switched my room to 419 and said they would fumigated 421 in the morning because at the hour I arrived there was nothing that could be done. I checked that room and didn't see anything that night so we slept there BUT, there was hair in the tub and on the bed sheets. I was informed that I took the last available room so I did not bother saying anything since I knew there was nothing available. In the morning I asked if the room was really going to be fumigated and they said yes but I would have to check out and leave my bags in the Lobby office until room 421 was cleaned/ fumigated. Since I did not want to leave my bags unattended or put them back of the main desk, I chose to stay in room 419 but I started taking notice of my surroundings. On the floors there were NO signs indicating that the hotel is under construction, ONLY in front of the elevators on the floors. No where else were there any signs NOTHING IN THE LOBBY.

Wonderful hotel and staff. The rooms have everything you could need, including refrigerator, microwave, and table to eat at. The breakfast has plenty of options from hot items, to cereal, to oatmeal, fruit, breads, muffins, and more. The staff are kind and helpful.

The female desk clerk first told me there was no reservation in my name. I was at the wrong Best Western. At first believed her, but as leaving I looked at my e-mail confirmation. She still tried to give me a hard time. But in the end I was right and sh3 was wrong. She then told me she would upgrade us from 2 double beds to 2 queens. She gave me the room cards and said room 206. I tried 206. Then looked at the cards and they were for 209.209 only had 2 double beds. I had by then and gave up.

We stayed here 5/18-5/20. We arrived very late at night and were eager to get to our rooms. The first room we were sent to was not cleaned at all. We went back and were placed in a clean room. Not sure if this hotel has a room cleaning service, but ours was not cleaned. We ran out of toilet paper and towels and had to call front desk for more. The lights were out in the hallway near our room. We were charged for a pet, after telling guest services we did not have a pet. They later reversed the charge. The pool was clean and has a great range of hours that it is open. Overall, not a great hotel but definitely clean and good enough for a quick trip.

Good value for the dollar. Lobby was great. Rooms could use some updating, but were clean. Breakfast was crowded. Hard to find a table, but the weather was lovely and an attendant directed us to some nice outdoor seating.

Fabulous experience! Front desk staff night and day were amazing! Very clean and comfortable. Close to everything. Breakfast area was well stocked and clean. Definitely would visit this hotel again.

This was a great place to stay! Hotel staff make or break the hotel's reputation, and this BW had the best employees! Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The rooms were reasonably priced, clean, and pretty. It was a comfortable place to stay on a stressful business trip, and I'm glad I found it.

Arrived with a very warm greeting. It went down hill aft leaving the lobby. The halls are very dark. Then complex has minimal to no security. Doors do not close all the way. The fitted sheet didyfit the bed. Rooms had very low light. I walked down pass the desk at 6am there was a sign that no one was there and then a gentleman Wales by abruptly said good morning breakfast isn’t until 7.

This Best Western Plus is one of the nice surprises we hope for. Everything was clean and neat. Desk clerk went out of her way to be helpful. This was a great experience.

Horrible. Upon entering hotel seems clean and nice. Staff was friendly. We stayed 4 nights. Here are the issues we experienced: 1. Pool water so overchlorinated your eyes feel as if they have a chemical burn. Caused extreme coughing and family could Not stay in water for more than 10 min. You could t even breath the chlorine was so strong — yet the water looked cloudy and dirty. 2. Heat/AC broken. Took until next day to repair so sleeping that night was terribke as room was very hot and stuffy 3. Room doors slam so loudly you can hear every other guests door slam all night or day. It will wake you at night — you can also hear everyone taking in hallway. It’s very loud. 4. Door key card did not work. Went and asked for a new one and that did not work either. Repeatedly needed to go get front desk to come let us into our room. 5. Mattress terrible and sunken in uncomfortable. 6. Free breakfast not good and coffee machine was broken 7. Child Accidentally spilled grape juice on sheets — housekeeping came next day and “changed” sheets we thought, but once we pulled sheets back looking for Child’s sock we saw they only turned the fitted sheet around and put the dirty grape juice sheet back on as the grape juice stain was now at the bottom of the bed instead of the top! 8 — elevator broken on and off entire stay and a family was trapped in elevator for 45 minutes and firemen had to free them.

Overall, this hotel provides shelter and food. The beds are quite soft, but some people like that. The breakfast is by far where they need improvement. We are a family of five and no one wa happy. You basically get a continental breakfast with really bag "extras. " Scrambled eggs and various prefrozen pancakes. Sausage and bacon vary each day, but again are not great. There is no waffle maker. Muffins are very dry. Cereal, bagels, and toast were the most popular. Their lobby is in no way large enough to handle the crowds! The man next to me used the correct word when notifying his wife upstairs, "mayhem! "

Clean hotel, nice rooms… always very crowded with school groups. Staff is unfriendly and will not help at all with reservation problems. Over charged me even though I had my confirmation with me.

Nice economical place to stay. The rooms are small especially with the couch bed pulled out! I love our jetted tub and the close proximity to restaurants and a Kmart.

We love staying at the Best Western Plus Historic Area Inn! So convenient to most everything in Williamsburg. Just a short drive to Busch gardens, colonial Williamsburg, tons of restaurants and other fun attractions. This hotel is always clean with really helpful staff. Will definitely stay here again!

The staff was so welcoming and friendly. They went above and beyond to make our stay awesome. Clean rooms and comfortable beds! Top notch accommodations!

Had a pullout sofa to accommodate an extra person, which is actually recommended on their site rather than getting an extra room. No blankets sheets or pillows in the room for the sofa, and when I asked at front desk they had run out of blankets. How is it possible for a hotel to run out of blankets? Front desk was not helpful. After I got over my shock, went back to front desk and requested sheets and pillows, which the clerk should have offered in the first place. Ran into other guests with the same issue. I've never been in a hotel room that didn't have extra blankets in the closet, let alone one with a pull-out sofa! Crazy.

Left a loaded handgun behind and a pair of Ray Bans, STOLEN by staff next day while cleaning. Hotel is aged, hall we were on was damp and wet. Desk staff was friendly l but that's where the decent experience ended. Have never heard from management of the property of stolen items. Local Police had to enter into state and federal system as stolen. I'm shocked by the lack of concern or care of a guests stolen items of LARGE value. Bring several employees as a yearly trip between Christmas and New Years. Won't be coming back to this location.

Great staff. Very knowledgeable and willing to help. Cigarette smoke a guests room was coming our no smoking rooms bathroom vent. Not a nice smell in room. Bathroom a bit cramped. The jet tub was very nice.

Amazing hotel, clean, friendly staff, great location. We spent Xmas weekend and we got the package with Busch Garden tickets and the price was spectacular! Would highly recommend it!

This hotel is convenient to many attractions, restaurants and shopping. We chose this property because it was part of a package for the Historical site and the value was excellent. It was short drive to the historical visitor center where we could park our car and take the shuttle. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful when we had a malfunctioning heating system and quickly offered to change our room. The breakfast was good but the dinning area was crowded on one of the mornings of our three-night stay. We got up earlier the next morning to beat the rush. I would most likely stay here again.

I would actually give this location a 4.5. We have visited here on multiple occasions. Great location, clean rooms and nice breakfast options. The staff is also friendly and accommodating.

The only negative here would be the breakfast. The food was good. The female who was there each and everyday had a bad attitude. The gentleman worked himself to death but was unable to keep up with the demands of several hungry guests.

A great place to stay close to everything in Williamsburg Virginia. Convenient to anything and anywhere you want to go. A good breakfast and a fitness room and indoor pool are pluses for families.

Loved staff, very kid friendly, great clean stay, nice and warm indoor pool and jacuzzi. Cool arcade, great for long, short, or business stays. The free breakfast was delicious!

Highly recommend to those who going to stay in Williamsburg. This hotel locates in a very convenient spot of the city. Almost every tourism sites can be reached shortly from here. Good quality and services.

Excellent stay and value. Staff was awesome. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Breakfast was fantastic. It was a great stay while visiting Williamsburg.

I have stayed at many hotels in my life but by far this was one of the best stays simply because of the staff. I have never experienced such great customer service, they were beyond friendly at the front desk. Upon checking out my daughter left one of her toy stuffed pillows there and they were so kind to call me and let me know it was there knowing my little girl would be upset! They were all full of smiles, wished us a great weekend and safe travel home, will definitely stay here again!

The stay was great. Very clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Pool was great. Kids loved that it had late hours so they could go in after the parks. Location is perfect!

Room is a little dated, but still nice and clean. Front desk staff is nice. Breakfast kept running out of the good stuff and took a while to replenish. The bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel.

We had a nice stay. Staff was friendly and helpful upon arrival. Room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast served in the morning was pretty good with a good selection. Would definitely stay there again.

Very nice place for the price. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. Rooms are a bit dated but clean. Room had a microwave, mini refrigerator, small one cup coffee make and blow dryer… also iron/board. Family enjoyed the pool and patio. Many stores and restaurants near by.

The reviews we have read and pictures we saw do not match this hotel. After being on the road for 18 hours our room was nothing that was advertised! The lobby my be newly renovated but the rooms definitely are not! It is 97 degrees and the hallway has no air conditioning running. We enter the room which was as hot as the outside! The AC was not turned on. We had I'd on for 45mins no chg in room. The place is booked solid and the ladies at the desk can move us. It is now 12 midnight. We finally get one fan but the can't find another and no one to fix AC. Finally the fine a cancellation so we moved to another room. Ok as has AC that works but not newly renovated and we are sleeping 3 in a king size need as pulled out had spiders. The breakfast talks about a waffle breakfast no waffles, food is not enough to feed crowd the are really slow to refill. Pool is ok but windows look like the have never been cleaned. Will definitely thing twice before coming back or trusting reviews!

The only thing I did not like is that they promote it as if it were in the historical area and is quite removed. It has many additional services such as laundry and soda machines and snacks.

Absolutely great stay. Took my mother there for a nights get away for her birthday. Very clean and quiet. I requested room lower floor little walking for my mom. They gave rm 107 first room pass front desk. Very handy for her to walk to pool etc. Front desk and all workers I ran into were pleasent and friendly. Young girl working evening made us a tray of hot tea with the sweetest birthday card for my mom on it. Pool was great and the hot tub too. Breakfast was unbelievable beyond your normal breakfasts and other places. Will definetly be back.

We checked in on 7/31 after 2 days we found our room was infested with bed bugs. The pest control guy was rude. We were in room 425/427 adjoining rooms. The room with the double beds was the infested room however we found one of the bugs crawling up the wall in the king size bed room and that's what made us look. We checked out of these rooms wed around 130 and that night the king size room was already filled with other guest.

The hotel was nice and clean. Good breakfast and Staff was nice and helpful. We will definitely remember it in the future!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while touring the historic triangle. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

We stayed overnight Saturday 11th June. The first room we had smelled of mould and cigarette smoke. To be fair to the staff they immediately switched us and called us later about an hour later to check on the new room. 2nd room was clean with what you would expect from a hotel room; TV, Couch, microwave etc. Hallways were a little hot and dated but that's not buggy to me once your inside. Breakfast was okay, sadly the French toast on offer was taken away as it was still frozen. The sausage and eggs were good, the juice was for want of a better word sunny d, coffee was bad. Overall I'd say this is a nice functional hotel but not one for a romantic get away.

This hotel was okay, if you're on a budget, it's a clean and safe option. But if you like things even the least bit nice I wouldn't recommend it. Everything from start to finish was mediocre.

Great location. Good proximity to Busch gardens, colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown. This was my first visit to a Best Western, and it was surprisingly not trashy. I expected a typical budget hotel, but it was quite mid-road. The breakfast area had been redone, with all new furniture and paint. The rooms also looked newly refurbished. The indoor pool area was quite nice and warm, and the jacuzzi was big. Breakfast was typical continental fare.

Hotel staff was incredibly helpful and flexible. They went out of their way to help make our volleyball team's stay memorable and enjoyable! The indoor pool and hot tub was definitely a treat for the kids too.

I went here to go on a mini vacation with my daughters. The room we got was very clean. The staff was super awesome. Plus we were close to Pirates Cove. I loved the area and Captain George's was yummy… Needless to say but I enjoyed myself.

Spacious rooms with comfy beds that are enhanced by a well-kept pool and jacuzzi. It's location is splendid for those seeking to spend a couple of days — — or more — — visiting Jamestown, Yorktown, Williamsburg and, yes, Busch Gardens.

The Hotel has been renovated and its absolutely beautiful well decorated loved it. Stayed for a Womens Retreat this weekend and the Customer Service was excellent, the rooms were very clean, pool etc; we will be returning very soon highly recommended. :)

The housekeepers were polite and nice, the front desk people were helpful and the breakfast is great for the price!

My husband and I stayed in this hotel on Saturday, August 28, 2015. I left a sundress hanging in the closet. We checked out at 11:00 am on Sunday and I realized that afternoon I had forgotten it. I immediately called the hotel at 4:00 pm that Sunday. No one had checked into the room and it had been cleaned. My dress was unable to be located! I was told to call back Monday morning to speak with the manager. I did that and was told the dress had not been put in her office either. My only choice at that time I was told was to file a police report. Guess they have a thief on the staff.

Room are WAY to small! Housekeeping very polite however not so great at cleaning, lots of spotz missedbin bathroom also stains on sheets one of which was blood. Housekeeping also tushes you in mornings. Pool and jacuzzi are nice but lots of damage to surrounding glass. Breakfast leaves you actually wishing you went else where or went without eating all together. Front desk staff is very polite and helpful.

3.5 stars — My husband and I stayed at this Best Western as part of our Busch Garden vacation deal. We were only looking for a place to stay for one night and this place happened to offer one of the cheapest options. Since my husband and I weren't planning to do any more than to find a place to shower and sleep, we were happily satisfied with our stay since this place offered exactly what we needed! Yes this Best Western was a bit outdated but you get what you paid for. The beds were surprisingly comfy. My husband and I actually slept better here than in our own bed back at home! We had no issues with noises from next door neighbors. Staffs were very helpful and professional. They even offer complimentary breakfast — scrambled egg, sausage, french toast sticks, waffles, tater tots, assorted pastries — what a steal! In sum — My husband and I would be more than happy to stay at this Best Western if we ever visit Willamsburg again.

Arrived last yeaturday and so far its great. I drove 10 hours and my body was in so much pain and having gone through 2 back surgeries and 1 knee surgery didn't help. I woke up this morning feeling great and looking forward to today. I must add that check in wasn't until 3pm but they still allowed me to check in at 11am when I arrived.

Don't even try to call the number on the website. I tried it many times and waited almost 2-3 hrs. They will direct to reservation center and you will be there with music forever.

The money you save staying here will be spent at the chiropractor's office! But it's clean, convenient, and the staff is courteous. Free bfast is the same everyday, fyi. Just wish the beds weren't boards : — (.

The Hotel was clean for an older place. Front desk was very nice and Professional. Free breakfast was good. It was very busy when we were there but the staff kept up on replenishing the food. There wasnt much seating to eat so people were eating in the lobby. The only complaint I do have is that the place was very noisy. The pool is open till 11PM which I thought was cool until I was trying to sleep. I could see the pool from my 2nd floor room. The kids that were there that weekend were animals. I cant fault the hotel for the people staying there. I think maybe there should be an adult swim from 10-11 maybe that would keep the noise down a bit. Even when I was in the pool people let there kids run freely and jumping in the pool and rough housing. I had an infant with me and didnt like this. No staff were there to correct the situation.

This is a good hotel based on general cleanliness, location and price. The staff in general was professional and fun. However, one woman, who may have been a manager was fantastic. As far as the room. It was nice. The room was clean. We didn't use the indoor pool or hot tub since it was a short trip and when we did check it out, it was kinda crowded. But it looked nice. The location was great. Within 10-15 min from major attractions and many food options for all price ranges. Overall, it was a good hotel for our short trip. If we were staying longer, I may pick a hotel with more amenities.

Marc at the front desk was very professional and helpful. There were a few things wrong with our reservation and he made everything right. We were even upgraded. Everybody was very nice and just extrememly helpful. The rooms were clean and a good size too.
