What a awesome stay great customer service plus clean bathroom.

Muhammad did amazing job at checkin hitting all check in points. His smile, empathy, and hospitality was refreshing after a rough day. AI was shocked to see another gentleman there as well wearing a suit who could’ve been a manager or maybe he was training someone? He was pleasant. Quan I believe is new but very accommodating as he helped me find a microwave to heat up my food. The hotel is gorgeous, impeccably clean and is one of the best properties I have stayed at which speaks VOLUMES. My job and previous jobs required lots of travel, undergrad managed a Hilton for 3 yrs and did QA. I know EXACTLY what to look for and found not one thing wrong besides no free Wi-Fi and broken ice machine. Things break but a heads up would have been nice. Oh yeah my phone didn’t have a dial tone. No big deal I called from my cell for assistance with finding a microwave. Stephanie was the 3 to 11 person I spoke to you on the phone who reassured me my room would be held, as third parties typically tend to overbook hotels leaving guest stranded. She also wished me a safe trip. Management obviously is very on top of the hotel ensuring housekeeping, maintenance, front desk and food & beverage are up to par. I will be staying here instead of Hyatt in two weeks.

I love staying at this property. As a Titanium Elite member, they treat me like royalty. The rooms are great and the service from end to end is incredible at all levels. I particularly like Maria in the M Lounge. She makes me feel like family. This is a great hotel and is always on my list when staying in the area.

The employees make this a great repeat hotel for us. In particular, we really appreciate Mary at the front desk. I usually handle our reservations, and I flat out dropped the ball on our stay this evening. Mary went out of her way to make me feel comfortable when we discovered I had forgotten to book, and she quickly found us a nice, quiet room.

I visited the hotel in order to use the restroom, I have health issues and a clean mostly private bathroom can be a big help. I have always been able to count on Marriott to provide such facilities. This time did not deviate from that. I did have an employee stop and question me but once they hear why I am there they understand. And if all else fails waving my Marriott Rewards status around helps too.

The site is beautiful on the inside, are AV crew for the event were hard working and fantastic. Facility crew were a let down. We had constant ac/heat issues in our training rooms with no real solutions. Others great experience.

Arrived here on a Saturday and checked-out the following Monday. To say this was a terrible hotel stay would be an understatement. Check-in and out of the hotel was seamless, no real issues. The hotel itself is centrally located near the mall, which is especially useful for people from out-of-town who may need to grab something to eat or get some quick shopping done. Really, the biggest complaint here is with regards to cleanliness. The hotel lobby simply shows a surface level clean, however we found multiple yellow and red stains on our comforter. Speaking with hotel staff yielded no immediate resolution, a paltry $10 credit towards the restaurant. Would definitely think twice before booking here. There are a plethora of hotels surrounding the area and I wish we had booked another.

Absolutely great restaurant, would highly recommend. Instead of getting one big meal per diner the idea is to get multiple small meals. We tried 6 different foods, and they were all delicious and excellently prepared. We loved that it gave us the chance to explore and try new things while still staying in a reasonable budget. And although we did not have drinks there, they were reasonably priced as well, and I'm sure that the type of food they serve would go exceptionally well with a few drinks. Also the environment was very nice; you could choose to sit in a louder, more vibrant and casual area of the restaurant by the bar, or you could sit in a more quiet and calm setting. We chose the quiet area, but if we come back for drinks the other area would definitely be ideal. Overall a great experience, and if you look hard enough you might be able to find some deals online to make the value even better!

I was billed for two different rooms on the same night. Seven calls later, I am still being pushed around, even after being assured the charge would be removed. I had to open an investigation for a fraudulent charge with my credit card company, and this hotel still isn’t making it right. Funny how I didn’t get points for staying in two different rooms at the same time when I was traveling alone! I am thinking maybe they thought I was GoldiLocks…,

Came for a dental seminar. The facility is very nice. Lovely modern lobby. Helpful staff. Very clean. Restrooms have private stalls with full wooden doors for each. I didn't see a room but I would recommend this hotel.

Events rented there. One of them on a Very cold day. Food OK, probably depends upon what options organizers buy. I'd call it Southern continental breakfast: orange/apple/cranberry juice, link or patty sausage, bacon strips, scrambled eggs, oatmeal with some dark raisins, brown sugar fixins, (i don't recall but maybe grits? ), toast + assorted jelly/jam packets, mixed Danish, bagels?, mixed fruit salad like), in the $30+ range, per person.

This is a solid business hotel, walking distance to many restaurants in the mall and a full service bar, restaurant, and Starbucks coffee bar right in the lobby. Jason and his conference team are very accommodating.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! It was extremely clean, affordable and it’s walking distance from the mall. The service was top notch. They were responsive and helpful. The pictures are very accurate representation of the hotel.

Limited food choices. Got yelled at 2x by staff, once bc everyone was having fun, then for eating food we bought there at the bar. Came home w a sinus infection… poor filters need changing maybe.

Nice and quiet place to stay at. It's also close to the mall which is in a walking distance. The food is also delicious but a bit pricey.

When I got to this Marriott I was very surprised because I couldn't believe the place was so big! I really like to go and have a drink this Marriott!

Decent location, walking distance to some eating places at the mall. Free parking. Lobby and lounge are renovated. Nothing amazing but a good place to stay.

No early check-in (rooms not ready until 4pm) at conference, so we checked in, dropped luggage in room and left. Returned, brushed teeth the sinkwas clogged. The fridge smelled like it had a dead body kept inside, but then went to pull back the sheets (that looked like they'd never been changed) and could see a blood stain under sheet. Pulled back sheet and dried blood on mattress protector. Called housekeeping. Manager brought up a bag with mattress cover inside of it and window drapes (for sheets). He opened this bag with new mates protector (washed blood stains on it) and asked if 'this was ok. ' It was midnight at this point, so I agreed and he gathered up the old stuff, so that I could change the bedding. As I began pulling it off the bed, there was a blood smear across the actual mattress where the initial blood stain was. I asked for a new room. I can overlook clogged sinks for an overnight stay, but filth is a deal breaker. They did put us in a king bed room and this bed was cean. The sheets had not been slept in or bled in and the sink didn't overflow while brushing our teeth.

Excellent hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Location is very good. Staff is great. Rooms are very spacious.

Very accommodating and nice. Pretty cool from the inside too. Marriott is usually always as great as it s beautiful logo! Never been to a bad one!

Every time we have visitors, we book their stays here. Their location is perfect to access major roads, and it's right next to the mall. You can find things to do and places to eat very easily. The staffs are VERY cordial and knowledgable, and the rooms are very spacious, especially the corner rooms. When we had a minor noise problem in the bathroom air vent, they quickly sent us a technician to the room to fix the problem. When the technician couldn't couldn't resolve the problem, the front desk quickly gave us keys to another room. They were VERY accommodating. The common area on the 1st floor is beautiful, and the bar is I STRONGLY recommend this place if you are in town :)

Location is walking distance to Fair Oaks Mall and close to other shops, stores and business. Rooms and clean and spacious. Service is always friendly and will to help.

It is a great hotel that we have been working with for years. Their staff is excellent and very friendly. The entire hotel has gone through a renovation in the last couple of years and it is so nice. Super easy access to 50 and I66 and within walking distance of Fair Oaks mall.

Stayed here for a weekend swim meet for my kid. It was centrally located with plenty of stores and restaurants near by. I stayed in a room with a King. It was comfortable, clean and quiet (even with all the swimmers on the floor). The hotel is elegant and the food at the restaurant was upscale and delicious. I was disappointed to find out that the pool advertised was closed.

Hotel was clean. Conference room was comfortable and quiet. The ambience was perfect. Evening snacks at the special lounge was amazing.

Even through the renovation they're going through, a beautifully kept hotel. I'll be back for certain in 4 weeks. (if they aren't booked. Lol)

I had a meeting there. It was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't stay as a guest so I didn't get to see the rooms however.

Nice hotel with good service and nice rooms. Only downside was a planned elevator maintenence that took down 50% of the elevators.

Great, updated rooms and a beautiful courtyard-style lobby. Most importantly, very clean. Also a very nice bar downstairs.

Hotel was easy to find and convenient to the Fair Oaks Mall (and the restaurants within). Rooms were clean and modern. My one complaint was that the comforter on the bed was heavy, and to sleep under it and still be comfortable (during our mid-September stay) the air conditioning had to be set to a rather low temperature, and I still woke up too warm in the middle of the night. Breakfast buffet was a tad pricey, but the food was excellent. Front desk was friendly and happy to help with questions.

I have been coming to this hotel for several years. The location cannot be beat. It is directly across from the fair oaks mall so there is a bunch of restaurants 60 seconds away. The rooms are nice and it has everything you would expect. I will definitely be coming back if I am ever in the area.

The staff seemed very nice, the rooms were AMAZING. The look from our balcony onto the lobby was incredible. The Wi-Fi was free if you have Elite status and the complimentary breakfast for Elite members was hot, fresh, and amazing. The staff there was incredible all the way around.

The room was large and clean. The lobby was nice and there was an extensive, I'll call it lounge area also. However, as Marriott rewards members the front desk told us in-room Wi-Fi was complimentary. But after we left we were charged for it and it was not on our bill at check out. This certainly has left a bad taste to an otherwise great trip.

You have to pay for Wi-Fi 9.99 a day which other hotels I stayed at its free, the linen on the beds are changed every 3 days except if the customer requested it to be change every day, and they asked you if you can hang your towels to dry to re-use them instead of getting clean ones.

We had an unexpected problem at the place we were going to stay and needed a hotel quickly. They were helpful getting a room. We then had to switch rooms to accommodate our size. They then even gave us a perk to make up for it.

Absolutely great service. Had a very young waiter who was just excellent. He recommend some dishes and we had to try them. The FOOD WAS OVER THE TOP great in flavor. The soups should of been warmer. But the dishes was excellent. This is not an inexpensive restaurant but definitely worth the price. Will definitely come back for a drink or to share an intimate time.

Hotel was great, rooms were large and clean. Service was good. Large atrium, very cool. Nice bar and restaurant. Complimentary breakfast for guests. I will stay here again.

Highly recommend for events! Our company held it's annual meeting at the Fairfax Marriott at Fair Oaks this month. Everyone in our company has been saying that it was our best meeting yet! It would not have been without the help of Mary, their event planner, and the wonderful staff that assisted us that day. Mary quickly and pleasantly answered all of my many, many questions. She though of ways to make our meeting better and was always available. I've planned over 15 events at other hotels and typically I have had to run around a previous trying to find someone to help me with technical issues or I’ve had to beg for food and beverages to be replenished. Not this time! Everyone anticipated need and exceed expectations. When I did need something, the request was met with a smile and fulfilled perfectly. I used to work for the Ritz Carlton which has made me very attuned to customer service. I have to say that the level of service at the Fairfax Marriott was the same, if not better that what I expect from a Ritz Carlton. I honestly can’t think of anything that you could have done better.

Very clean hotel and the staff is friendly. Hotel is very very nice and modern. The king rooms are spacious with lots of light. TV is also a flat screen LG. The bathrooms were especially clean, and there is no curtain. They have a glass door instead. Overall, great hotel and great location.

Hotel was friendly and clean, tons of space to work downstairs which is helpful on business trips. But it was a serious fight to find an outlet just to charge my phone. Everyone charges phones, how can they not leave am outlet exposed for you?

This is the location that I always stay for my business trip. They are very good people, especially at the Conceirge.

Convenient to the corporate office for our meetings. No shuttle service to either DC airport meant I needed a taxi which wasn't cheap. Good checkin, room was ready. Hotel is well maintained.

Stayed here for work conference, nice rooms very clean. Modern decor. Very trustworthy as well, I left my purse out in a rush to get downstairs, but it wasn't touched when they cleaned the room. Courteous and professional staff, food in restraunt is a little pricey but very good for hotel food. Bar staff very friendly and knowledgeable on wines. Very convenient location across from fair oaks mall, walking distance. I enjoyed my stay here and would book this hotel again for personal trip!

Stayed here on my class trip. Great hotel. The only complaint was the Starbucks. Low-quality drinks!

I would not recommend this hotel! My son was on a school trip and this is where they stayed. He had a significant amount of money stolen out of the room by someone who had access to the room while they were out touring. I was told the only one who had access was housekeeping. This was the night before they left to come home. It was all of the cash that he had. When I spoke to the manager I was told "i will look into it. " I felt completely blown off. Yes he should not have left it sitting out in the open… However… The staff should never have taken it. Now tomorrow he makes the long journey home with no cash for any of the stops. I would be very cautious of the staff and the manager was a joke!

One of the best hotels I have stayed in in a while. Best Marriott I have seen hands down. Staff was courteous, the TV and decorations looked amazing. Staff was super helpful.

I booked my room on a third-party website. Because of this, I couldn't get any rewards points. Also, Internet access was not free.

The hotel has been completed renovated and looks great! My Husband and I reserved several rooms at the Marriott for our Wedding in April. We also hosted our Rehearsal Dinner there. The Staff was very professional, easy to work with, and friendly. The food at the rehearsal dinner was amazing! We received so many compliments from our guests on the food and the hotel overall. Several of our Guests were posting pictures to Facebook just of the hotel bc they enjoyed their stay so much. Many of our guests took advantage of Fair Oaks Mall being just across the parking lot. My Husband and I are so glad we booked this hotel. Anytime we have several Family members and Friends in town, we always recommend the Fair Oaks Marriott.

I had a bad experience in this hotel. I booked it online and when I gave my name and confirmation number, they put me in a different room I booked. Information and service was awful. Besides, they charged me $20.00 extra I still do not know why. I called, and they put me on hold.

Clean and quiet hotel. Good location for visiting family in Burke, VA. Easy to get into the city. Lots of parking. Pool is nice, usually empty which is handy. Small gym which is adequate for short stays.

Room was a newly renovated room which was very nice. However, the air conditioning did not work properly. We had to call the front desk and they sent a repairman up to look at it and after several minutes of looking at it, he said it was in need of repair — so we had to move rooms at about midnight. The manager on duty was very nice and accommodating but still it was frustrating. I would not stay at this hotel again as a lot of rooms face an inner lobby where the lights are kept on all night so you have a light source coming into your room even with the curtains drawn. No free breakfast (just coffee and Danish) which is a major misstep especially during a renovation.

I booked 2 DBL bed room — upon arriving was told not able to give me the room only had King. Very rude and no customer service. Very unhappy and we stay at the Marriott monthly. After this visit reconsidering it. Unhappy Customer.

The concierge lounge was one of the worst I've visited. As a business traveller I rely on it for a solid breakfast and a decent meal in the evenings. Though it says they serve snacks during the evening, it is the only marriot I've been in that actually served that instead of a meal. The gym needs more than two types of machines, and the "Starbucks" coffee they served at Starbucks prices was terrible. There were no vending machines on any floor and the $4 pop tarts were a stretch even for hotels. As a business traveler the only saving grace was the mall across the street, but by day 3 I grew tired of walking across the parking lot for a decent meal.

Exceptionally friendly and competent staff, nice clean facility and a good-sized room for a very reasonable price. There guest services and event / facilities people are great to work with. Edit: I just came to know that they received and sat on an important business package for three days — then decided to give it to another guest who they thought might know me. At no point did they try to contact me. Further, after bouncing through several staff who "weren't in on the weekend" and couldn't help, I reached a manager who treated me with complete condescension while finally agreeing to ship the item to my next stop. He never at any point apologized for their carelessness. This ruined what was otherwise a pretty good stay at an OK hotel.
