We booked this motel in mid July 2010 online. They said they wouldn't charge our card until after we checked out. Well we get up there and we check in at 3:00 and unpack. All of a sudden we get a call from the front desk stating our card has been declined. This was odd because of the fact that we made sure we had just enough on the card for the motel. My husband checked his balance online and over the phone and it said we had the money. Well rather than let us run to Walmart and just withdraw the money and come back, they kicked us out! I was so mad that I about went to another motel. Finally, we got the money, paid and had to haul our stuff back into our room. We stayed in room 101. The only problem is that it was right in front of the soda and ice machine so all night when someone would push the ice machine it would scare me to death. I don't like people walking near my door especially in motels. The room itself was just a queen. It was very small but comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable that the moment you sit on it, you want to go to sleep. The sheets were clean. The A/C cooled down the room within 10 minutes. Now we were promised HBO when we ordered. There is only Comcast cable in 101 so beware of that. I spent most of the night flipping through Infomercials. Now for the bathroom. It was very clean. We had clean towls. The bathtub was real nice and the water wasn't dirty or smelly. One nice thing that I liked was that they do have a neat coffee maker in the room and they give you complimentary coffee packets and tea which was great because we were about broke and needed drinks. The Continental Breakfast was a joke. It is not like the Holiday Inn/Express where they serve you eggs, bacon and whatever. They set out coffee and juice and then had honey buns, bagels and cereal. So, if you are really hungry, my advice is to go to Denny's. It's a quarter mile down the road. But overall, I would stay again but next time, I will remember to just pay in cash.
