No baggage carts made unhappy daddy. Elevators amazingly slow when hotel is totally full. Beds were nice. Could be a bit cleaner. Stuff stuck in sides of cushions in chair. Fridge missing all trays to hold food. Not much parking. Area convenience stores and food joints subpar. Check-in manager … is the sole employee in this huge hotel at night (this the case almost everywhere now as every penny must be made) Seems to invite random mischief and theft. She was friendly. There might be some better choices available down the pike.

Clean, exactly what you want for a Hampton. Checked in at 1140 pm and the front desk clerk was a joy! Easy on and off I95.

We are so glad we found this pet friendly hotel. It was very clean and the rooms were spacious. They were busy with only one person at the counter but she was a delight and very helpful. The pet friendly rooms were not stinky. It would be fine to stay in the even without a pet! Great hotel that we will put on out list of hotels to stay.

My wife's family had a reunion in the banquet room. They were helpful and made things easy.

Enjoyed the stylish room. Bed was comfortable. Easy check-in and check-out. Love the continental breakfast. Easy access off of I-95. Staff was friendly.

Convenient, clean & great full hot breakfast. Italian restaurant FoSho across the street was great! It didn't look like much but food & a Sax player was wonderful!

The staff were very friendly, the location was very convenient: right off of I-95, and the breakfast is yummy. Making my own waffles is a treat. The bed was medium firm, which was great. Firm enough to support my back, but soft enough to still be comfy. This was the perfect pitstop on my way home, and if I ever find myself in the area again, I would gladly stay there again.

Quiet and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was very good. I had no issues during my stay.

It was clean and nice. Staff was friendly and courteous. The free breakfast in the morning was actually not bad. My biggest complaint was the indoor pool wasn't heated! The water was ICE cold. Not pleasant at all.

The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and the price for a family of 5 was reasonable. On the edge of the I95, en route to Florida it was ideal for us.

Our room was very clean and the staff who I met were courteous and professional. Breakfast was great as always with Hampton. Room was cozy.

The bed was comfy, the breakfast pretty good and the staff pleasant. But I dislike sliding doors that either cover the closet or the bathroom. The sink faucet was weird and very pushed back in a corner so you always got wet somehow. I didn't try the pool and it was situated near many places to eat. All in all 4 stars.

Bugs (ladybug-like) — — the lady at the desk did come up and vacuumed them off the ceiling for us, but more showed up later. The pool was a nice neon green color. Stupid non-locking, sliding door on the room's bathroom.

Booked a room 1 month in advance. Got a call as I was driving down the highway with my family (one hour away) that the room is not available. The “manager” only offered a much smaller room at the same price, which would not work for the size of my group. At the mere mention of a refund, the “manager” became defensive and said that this situation was “not her fault”. Apparently hotel managers have no control over booking rooms… Asked for email confirmation of the room cancellation so I could pursue a refund. The “manager” said she would send it… but it was never received. Called back and asked for contact information for a regional manager and to have the email resent. I was provided with a fake email address for the regional manager and I have yet to receive an email confirmation of the room cancellation. Since I have been stonewalled by the Hampton Inn, I am posting this story publicly with the hopes that someone else will not end up in this same situation. Moral of the story: If you want your family to be stranded on the highway with your money stolen, book a room at the Hampton Inn Emporia VA. No thanks for the grief, enjoy my $200 dollars.

The lady at the front desk, Patricia, was extremely nice. I told her that I was leaving extremely early the next day, and I would not be able to get the free breakfast. I asked her if I could get a couple of bananas for my drive home. She brought me three bananas, and two "breakfast bags", each with an apple, bottle of water, and a couple of breakfast bars. I was overwhelmed. After about a 1/2 hour, she called me to make sure everything was okay, and did I need anything. The rooms are extremely clean, and very up-to-date. The internet connection has much better security than other places I have stayed, and the speed is pretty good.

Extremely friendly staff and economically priced. I booked a room just an hour before arriving and the checkin process was very quick and painless. The double queen beds on the fifth floor are suites. The hotel in general including the room is very clean and well kept.

Not fully up to Hilton or Hampton Inn standards. I am grateful management upgraded me to a 2 room suite (a rarity for Hampton Inn — upgrade or having a true suite), but I experienced enough quirks to dampen my delight this week. First is the room issues (see pictures) : no light at/near the desk makes using it at night impossible, the bathroom sink is barely useable to even wash hands or brush your teeth without getting water all over the counter (why place a faucet this short & no pullout in the corner of the bowl? ), and lastly (not pictured) was the light switch in the bedroom that did nothing. What finally did me in was the front desk did not have any $1 dollar bills (not even 5 & no apology) at 7:15 am, so I could not leave a tip for housekeeping or breakfast staff this morning.

Very nice hotel. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was good. Check in and check out was fast. No complaints from me.

A great place for an overnight stay while on the road… Reasonable prices, a clean and pleasant room, and a free breakfast. And they are dog friendly!

I stayed here August 27th for one night. I gave them 2 stars because the room was pretty good. That's where it ends though. The carpet in the hallway was filthy, like it hasn't been cleaned in a few weeks. Breakfast was disappointing since they ran out of eggs by 9 A. M. And the attendant seemed unconcerned of that, pointing to the hard boiled eggs that were there. Not what I wanted though. I probably won't stay here again. I wasted my Honors points here.

The hotel is a great place to stay. Conveniently located just off I-95 all the staff members are friendly and waiting to help you with what you need. They allow pets and the rooms are great — clean and comfortable. Their pool is good and their breakfast is better than most other hotels that I have stayed at.

The room was fine and comfortable, but the crib we requested wasn't I'm our room and there was only 2 towels for a family of 6. My husband went to the desk and asked, and the girl up there was completely by herself on a night she said the hotel was fully booked. She was trying her best, but between checking people in and trying to get people what she needed, we had to wait almost an hour. She was trying her best, but the hotel should have enough people on staff to take care of the guests. Now, my worst complaint is the bathroom sink. Picture included. The faucet was mounted in the corner and it was extremely poor design. If you're just brushing your teeth then it's fine, but there's not enough room to wash your hands. We are a traveling family and I was trying to wash bottles and it was extremely difficult to rinse them because there is no room under the facet since it's mounted right up on the corner. The hotel was also remodeling and I saw huge dumpsters outside and they were throwing out perfectly good mirrors and tables, and it was disappointing to see they weren't donated to a charity when they could still be used. Breakfast was ok. Last time we were here we stayed at Holiday inn express and next time we come back I would really prefer to go back there.

The Tv had a great set of channels. There was a good selection of restaurants around it, and the breakfast was nice. The beds were extremely comfortable. In fact, I had a really great sleep and woke up refreshed due to how comfy the beds are. However, what really troubled me was the sink in the bathroom. For some odd reason, the faucet was in the corner of the sink instead of in the center, which made it awkward to rinse.

I love this hotel after driving for 5 days on a road trip across the USA this is the best hotel I been at. Clean room and nice space in bathroom. Free breakfast not bad.

The hotel was clean and seemed new. The room we were given upon arrival had a strong smell of smoke to it. We called the front desk and she apologized and put us in a different room, without any hassle, and said she'd send maintenance to attend to the smell. Breakfast was good! Would definitely stay again.

Liked it, stayed with family, everything is clean, Breakfast delicious, in-room coffee stand. Price per room$ 140 per night, not very cheap, next door is cheaper twice but it is very comfortable.

We called to book while traveling and they were very accommodating. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was absolutely spotless and we were pleasantly surprised by the variety of foods served for breakfast. Great stay!

I had to stay in a hotel a couple of years ago and I chose this one. It was WONDERFUL! I NEVER had a night's sleep like I did in this hotel. The Cloud 9 series mattresses couldn't BE more like sleeping in a cloud (not saying mattress is not firm). I fell asleep LITERALY as soon as my head hit the pillow and I slept THRU the night. I didn't find the free breakfast very enticing as the eggs tasted like they were artificial and were tasteless. Donuts would have been better. But the most important was the bed and the free internet! 5***** rating.

Friendly staff, breakfast available early with the typical spread, and clean rooms as usual at Hampton Inn. Only problem was sometimes-slow internet and Wi-Fi that would disconnect frequently.

The over night receptionist was very abrasive and difficult then told me if I have have a problem with a barking dog don't rent the room because it is on the floor were there was pets aloud.

The staff was courteous for the most part. I came back to the hotel late and there was about 2 dozen bugs all over the celing and walls. I requested a new room, but the hotel was full. They acted as if I should be okay with bugs all over my room and treated the situation as if it happens all the time. The best they could do was put me in a smoking room and I AM NOT A SMOKER. They, of course, didn't comp my room at all and I woke up sick to my stomach from the smell of ash tray that I endured. I will say that outside of this event, I would have given this hotel a good review, but it proves that adage that "One wrong act can undo a lifetime of great ones in an instant. ".

Very clean. Friendly staff. Updated, comfortable furnishings. Safe neighborhood, quiet. Husband and I were very impressed at the quality for reasonable rates.

Stayed here recently for a night on the way home from Florida. It was a nice place, great beds and free hot breakfast. Driving from Florida to NY this area is a little more then half way and made my second day trip a pleasure.

Great service! the lady at the front desk suggested us very good restaurant. Since we were on our way to the daytona 500 she discussed with us about the race with interest. Clean clean clean everywere good breakfast cosy bed! worth the price.
