Positive: Hotel was beautiful and so spacious. We cooked in our room and we pretty much had everything we needed to create a great home cooked meal. Beds were very comfortable. Negative: The only challenge we had was the room key didn't work because we checked in after 10 PM. The breakfast was pretty underwhelming but it could have been because it was a Sunday. My boys loved their waffles. They had hot food items, pastries, cereal, etc. Negative: ""

The service and location are excellent, the complimentary breakfast is nice, and the free Wi-Fi worked well, but some things are not up to par. We chose the suite with a mini fridge, microwave, and king size bed. The bed was super comfy, the room is spacious for just two people, with plenty of storage, and the HVAC worked great the whole time. But the fridge simply didn't work and despite de-icing it ourselves it iced over again within a day. We were given only decaf coffee pods for the coffee maker in the room. The bathroom has what appears to be a mold stain on the ceiling and the whole room smelled of must. The tap water tasted like mildew to me, my wife said it tasted like dirt, and there was rust on the hanging bar in the closet. The TV is woefully outdated with no options to cast our device (s) to it, only HDMI input or live broadcast. This place was well reviewed recently but something caused it to go downhill pretty quickly, or it could just be our room. I've stayed at other hotels with these amenities and had better experiences, and should I return here I would hope these problems are solved.

We have visited Tyler many times over the past ten years, and this was our first stay at this Hampton Inn. It is a newer facility in an area with plenty of food and shopping choices. The overall condition of the room was good, but the bathroom seemed much older than the room. The caulking around the bottom of the shower was black from mildew stains, making it seem unclean. The toilet seat looked like it had been cleaned with sandpaper, removing much of the original finish and making it look very old.

My wife and I stayed one night. The bed was super hard and the pillows were completely flat. The hotel in general was just really run down. The bathroom was nasty, and had mold in several spots. There were places that had been patched and not painted over as well as some kind of red slime or some other substance on the ceiling. Spoke with the girl at the front desk, but she could have cared less. Spoke to the manager later by phone and she had about the same attitude. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

I submitted a complaint for this issue but, have not heard back. So, here's my review. Short Version: They changed my reservation without notification and they don't clean rooms properly. Hair strands and pee all over the bathrooms!

When I arrived at the hotel, around 8 pm on 2/20, I went to the front desk due to my room number not showing when I checked in on the app. The receptionist provided my keys to Double Queen accessible room. I asked about the room change and the receptionist stated that there were no more rooms available, which is weird since I was able to booked said unavailable room online on 2/12. Because it was already late, I decided to stay in the provided room until I noticed a lot of housekeeping issues. I took pictures and showed the receptionist the next morning. Both the receptionist and manager, that worked on 2/21 on morning shift, agreed to switch my room and the manager added that she would add 30, 000 points to my membership rewards. After work, on 2/20, I came back to the reception desk and a different lady said that there was a note written but, that no one actually reserved a room for me to change to. She tried her best to accommodate me by switching to the only other room available, another two queen bed accessible room.

Very nice, cozy. Whole family stayed here all weekend, made us feel at home. Great customer service.

Excellent service, with great rooms. The town of Tyler Texas is a nice place to vist and live. My stay at the Hampton Inn was sweet, my room was so nice.

Great location in a shopping district with a nearby Thai restaurant and a dine-in theater. Friendly staff and quick check-in made for a stress free homey experience.

Hampton inn was the host for a little league tournament. Only complaint was their washer and dryer did not work because management did not empty the quarters from the machine. If the hotel is going to be the host hotel for future baseball tournaments please make sure your washer works! Nothing was more exciting/ frustrating than spending an afternoon at a laundry mat because someone couldn't empty the quarters from the washing machine at the hotel!

Really great experience during our stay. Room is nice, shower is AMAZING, staff is friendly. Good breakfast and pool/hot tub were awesome. Nothing really to be unhappy with, except for the fact that I think only one elevator was working.

We stayed at the South Tyler Hampton Inn location, the staff was friendly, rooms were clean and we'll equipped, and the breakfast was nice.

I normally wont pay much for a hotel especially for 1 night but I can not sleep in an uncomfortable bed and This Hampton has nice comfortable beds. Im a night shift nurse so My stay was during the day, the room was comfortable, very nice bathroom and friendly service.

We had a friend who lost her house in a fire stay here. We visited her on several occasions the staff were very friendly. The rooms were clean and the pool was excellent.

I have stayed here 3 times now. It will be my hotel of choice for now on. It is clean and convenient. Plenty of restaurants, shopping and entertainment close by. The staff is wonderful.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and seemed to be very quiet. Breakfast in the morning had lots of options. Will note that bathroom door was some huge sliding door setup which was very loud at night when you are trying to be quiet.

The workers were very kind. I liked that they gave free water. The rooms were very clean and nice.

Friendly greeting as I came in. The event was in a large business room. There was a room for the fashion models which was large and roomy and close to the event room.

The inn is great, but the manager of the inn is a disgrace to the hilton group. We stayed there three days and the room was never cleaned up. I had to get towels and wash cloths ever night evening the day I check in. I even carry my on trash out.

Very nice clean. I beds were comfortable. I slept like a baby. Checked in that night. Trevor was so sweet and welcoming. But that morning when we checked out, The morning front desk crew were rude. I greeted the both of them with a smile and a good morning. My kids did also. No one greeted us back.

We could not have loved this place more. Everyone we meet was so friendly and helpful. Rachel at the front desk was amazing every time we left or came in with a question she was there to help with a beautiful smile. Beds were comfortable and room was spacious and very clean.

My colleagues and I stayed at this hotel for two weeks and the lady at the front desk with the blonde hair has made this stay horrendous! The manager at the desk was a nice man and he was super courteous. We did get loud because we had friends over, but we got quiet when the head manager came. Then the blonde haired witch called the cops on us after we calmed down. Other than that, the stay was nice.

The rooms are really nice and clean. The breakfast is awesome. And there is actual water pressure, which seems amazing for a hotel shower.

This is one of the cleanest well manage hotels I have been in years. Very considerate staff interested in my well-being. I will be back when in Tyler…

I only stayed in the lobby for 5 minutes waiting 9n the shuttle to go to Love Field Dallas aiport. Lobby was clean.

I just finished another 3 night stay at the Hampton Inn Tyler South — and I'm reminded why I said last time that we would return to the Hilton Garden Inn up Broadway instead. In short, this property simply isn't being taken care of to the degree required to fit the Hampton Inn brand image (in my experience). In brief… here are the items I noted on this most recent visit: — no greeting beyond a VERY basic (almost forced) "hi" (I'm an Honors member) — dirty entry & bathroom floors (take a clean/damp cloth, wipe the floor, and you'll see) — king sheets not put on properly, had to re-make the bed — duvet cover wasn't washed thoroughly (smelled of perfume) — dirty carpet (white socks shouldn't begin to turn brown) — sliding glass shower door not hung correctly (large gap letting water thru) — mildew in 2 corners of shower — toilet had brown/black streaks at bottom/back of bowl — awkward/useless silver soap-dish "thingy" in back of shower (management will know what I'm referring to — it's perplexing) — west-side stairs have a rubber-grip/track glued onto concrete. They are starting to slip off and angle downward, and are a trip hazard — copious amounts of bird poop along west side of building/side-entrance — TONS of weeds in all landscaped areas (I've NEVER seen weeds this bad at a hotel) — GROSS overwatering of the landscape (and it's cracking the parking lot).

Fairly new place. Lots of smiling faces. Comfortable bed. Good continental breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

Hampton should be ashamed… this is a fairly new hotel. Trash was piled up in hallways and overflowing the trash bins (even at the main entrance). Had no hot water in my room — reported it (after a cold shower) and the front desk attendant said "oh that happened the other day too". Breakfast was terrible, hardly no food, no cereal for kids, out of regular coffee… asked for milk; the response: "the breakfast lady didn't include it in the order" This hotel is on its way down for sure — but I'll never have to worry about it again.

Everyone was very friendly, helpful and nice. Great location. Nice rooms and hotel in general was very clean. The complimentary breakfast had an excellent choice of food. No issues what so ever. Check in and check out was easy.
