I stayed here, I was travelling and I was not expecting a 5 star hotel but what I found was the worst hotel I ever stayed in. It was unbelievably bad. The shuttle bus was a mystery, in that it was a "code share" with a parking lot, which in itself is no big deal but the fact that it had absolutely no signage or prior warning that it was the shuttle you needed meant for an unnecessary wait in confusion until you call the hotel and speak to a very rude lady who aggressively tells you to look for the blue parking bus and makes you feel sorry you asked with her tone. The check in gentleman and I use that term sarcastically was rude aloof and ignorant of all common courtesy or manners. They made a mistake in finding my booking and blamed the booking website I used which I did not believe and they feigned that the problem was not their system and preached how lucky I was to be getting a room at all and that they considered cancelling the booking as it looked fraudulent as the name of the email address did not match the credit card that paid in advance and they thought it could be a stolen credit card unless I showed my passport. Of course I have no issue with any company checking the validity of credit cards it keeps us all somewhat protected of fraudulent use, but to come right out and tell a guest they were going to cancel the booking because the thought you had a stolen credit card that is just rude and ignorant. The place was old and dilapidated which would be less of an issue if it wasn't just plain dirty. The corridors smelled of damp the lift was grubby and the room smelled of smoke from the first waft on opening the door. One bed had hair on the sheets, not head hair I fear, the other bed seemed to have clean sheets but they were old and well worn. The room was so smelly that the only respite was the a/c on full blast to mask the smell. The only positive with the room was the Wi-Fi was reliable and fast. Breakfast the next morning was poor. At 08:30 all coffee was empty and no sign of refill Toast or cereal were the only options but the milk was almost gone and the waffle press was so full of stale detritus that more than one guest shuddered and walked away. The lady on the front desk just lectured on the fact the breakfast was not unlimited in times of a full hotel but no attempt to make any refill was made by the time I left at 09:20. The business centre has a computer but to print even a boarding pass you must pay for each sheet of paper. This is a terrible hotel for two reasons, it is unclean and the staff have a who cares attitude. I can roll with anything when staying at a cheap airport hotel and I don't expect 5 stars and I accept Super 8 as a budget place but that shouldn't be an excuse for rude staff and dirty run down rooms, certainly not in a modern airport setting like Houston. This hotel lets down the area and the brand. Very disappointing.
