Stayed two nights while in town for appointments at M D Anderson cancer hospital. The air conditioning was amazing which pleased me because the temperature outside was in tripal digits. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We noticed a minor leak in the shower and staff came quickly to fix it upon report. The pool was refreshing, the hot tub needed repairs but it was too hot to be in it anyway. With multiple pools and hot tubs I'm sure I could have located one that worked if I had requested it. The breakfast bar was nice and the items changed each day so my husband didn't eat the same thing twice. I have food allergies and was accommodated each morning. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We stayed in the oldest part of the hotel, there were signs that the building was older but it didn't distract from our comfort. Parking was plentiful The first day there, it seemed like the hotel was not heavily booked. However the second night people began to pour into the rooms. The service stayed the same both nights we stayed. We requested a refrigerator and they brought us a mini refrigerator that worked well. I am recommending this hotel to anyone who wants a nice stay. I will come back to this place.

BEDBUG ALERT! Absolutely the worst hotel. They won't let you give no stars. We stay in hotels all over the US and Canada and have never experienced anything like this! My son was there with his college band and he and his roommates were awakened at 2:30 am by bed bugs crawling on him, the walls, etc. (Wish there was somewhere to upload the video he took). He has multiple bites! They were moved to another room, awakened again 7am to go to the LOBBY and dump all of their clothes, shoes and bags in large garbage bags and supposedly they cleaned everything. When the items were returned, they ruined my sons very expensive jersey ($100+) and lost a pair of his shoes. Instead of trying to compensate him for their infested hotel, they blamed him for not telling them he had an expensive Jersey among his clothing at 7am after getting no sleep. Then when I spoke with the hotel manager about the missing shoes, he said he would check into and call me back. That was four days ago, still waiting… Reporting to corporate, better business bureau, and every hotel site I can find! FIND ANOTHER HOTEL!

We stayed at Crowne Plaza for warp tour 2018. We had ordered take out food from an outside restaurant that forgot to give us plates and forks. Called front desk and room service had us what we needed within just a few minutes. Kudos. Angela at check in was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We could not ask for a better stay. We have been coming every year for about 5 yrs. We will miss coming here next year.

Staff was friendly and the place was very clean, the location to Reliant can't be beat and there's a Papacitos on the other side of the highway with a 7 minute walk. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the age… didn't look rundown but not brand new. Would definitely stay again.

3/5. No complimentary breakfast. Large property, with large, clean, safe parking lot. Has on-site steakhouse, I did not eat there. Chinese fast-food restaurant next door, serves great junk food. I ate there several times, the food is good (if you like fried stuff). No good restaurants nearby, mostly fast food and strip-mall type joints. There is a Denny's less than a mile away. Room, Bathrooms, Towels were clean. Nice, firm bed. Soap, Shampoo and some Creams provided, they are good quality. Fixtures and Furniture are dated. TV has poor signal and picture quality. There was a problem with my sink draining water, but I fixed it myself. Just had to pop the stopper up from below. This is a low-end property. But there is nothing wrong with it. You get your money's worth.

Nothing good to say about this stay. One of the elevators were down the entire week. The room had no refrigerator or microwave but cost $40 more than the lower rooms. Communication is horrible between staff and customers. I request a night's stay in points and I have yet to get them replaced after the manager Antonio stated he would handle it. I'd say you'd be much happier at the quality in next door. At least you won't feel bad if things aren't as they should be because the rates aren't bad.

I went by mistake to deliver an order, and the front desk attended me very gently.

Room was comfortable, and we got a bargain price. It's just a bit past it's glory days, one can tell. This would be the perfect place to stay if we were going to a Texans game, however… the stadium is right across the street!

We reserved our room several months in advance for the Houston Livestock Show. Upon check in we informed the manager that we would need to break up our stay as my daughter showed 2 different animals on separate weeks. They over charged my card $1100 and it took an entire day to resolve the issue (my debit card was locked up the entire day with funds unavailable because they charged it for 8 days versus the 2 we were staying). The floors were dirty, there was a live roach in the bathroom sink, and the manager did nothing but apologize. There was no refrigerator in the room either. I asked for an upgrade on our next stay the following week and was promised it would happen. Upon check in, no upgrade available. Still nothing offered such as a discount, etc to make up to the HUGE inconvenience and filthy rooms. For the very expensive cost, this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Will NEVER stay here again. Our friends had a much nicer hotel for half the price just down the street.

Ideal place to stay if you are interested in any sporting event, stadium.

A very stunning place. I have stayed there several times over its turn over from different hotels. Its a lovely place of history. Staff is polite, food is good at night. Breakfast is just ok. I will be back again. They have two pools, gym and a separate lounging area for medical patients that are staying there.

The lobby was very pretty and clean. The rooms in the tower looked like a standard room with two full sized beds. All ceilings were pretty low, especially in the bathroom shower. My husband could not raise his arms in the shower without hitting the ceiling tiles. The rooms were clean and decorated nicely. The hotel had security at the front gate watching the parking lot.

I have been traveling to Houston for Medical treatments for the past six years. I have stayed at other hotels in the area. This hotel is convenient to M. D. Anderson. I have not been disappointed staying here. Can be pricey when an event is happening across the street at Reliant Stadium. But, that was poor timing on my part. Facility is a little aged, staff has always been very cordial and helpful. They seem to maintain the property well. They do have a security agent on site and patrols the property at night. All in all I prefer to stay here when I am here. Hope this helps.

Walk you can take the nr stadium.

The bathroom in my room was tiny and the ceiling desperately needed to be replaced. Sound does travel a little bit, but I was not disturbed. My bed was not the most comfortable bed, but I didn't have any major complaints. The common areas of the hotel we're clean, well decorated and the staff were all very helpful. There was a miscommunication about a breakfast voucher, but the staff handled everything quickly. The location is hard to beat. Right across the street from NRG stadium.

Very run down and dated. Bathroom needs to be remodeled. Plumbing has issues. Mattress needed to be replaced. There is a serious mold problem in the lobby and public spaces on the ground floor. Housekeeping ignores do not disturb door signs. The night staff was great, but other shifts not so helpful. Food is okay, but I'd stay away from most of the bread products most of them seemed day old.

I had a only come here for a few hours as I was attending a business event, so my disclaimer for this review is that I'm not an overnight guest, or in any position to provide a "legitimate" review (for lack of a better word). The lobby in this hotel is absolutely gorgeous — everything was well decorated and organized. The doors leading into the hotel are old and look old too — the paint is scratched off, among other things such as dust accumulation and whatnot. The hallways were somewhat confusing to walk through, but these are just small nitpicks I have. The conference room is great and big for gatherings of all sizes. The staff here is great too, they pointed me in the right direction without any hesitation whatsoever, and are kind. Overall I rate 5 stars, though I just have small nitpicks, so I would really give a 4.8 if I could.

The staff however, particularly the front desk clerk, was rude to my sister-in-law and didn't seem to want to help her when she inquired about possible future reservations. Also, the fact that our particular room didn't have a fridge or a microwave was very inconvenient.

Terrible experience. Old, dirty, noisy room. Windows don't seal completely, so cold air got in. No extra blankets. Undrinkable tap water, no complimentary water bottles. TV is old and non HD. Obsolete and slow elevator. To name a few. Only good thing was the bed was comfortable. Other than that, awful hotel.

Horrible! I’m not sure where to begin. We were coming to Houston to get medical treatment. The front desk started out being rude and telling us to go to building 6 for our room. You would think building 6 was maybe just a short walk off the main lobby. Nope. Wasn’t. As I tried to find our room I had to double back and then ask for further directions. Then she gave me a map. Literally it was The Shining hotel as we walked through another wing of the hotel that was abandoned. Front desk, piano and all! Then, a security guard had to help us find our room. When we finally got here we came in to survey the room. There was a balcony overlooking an overgrown abandoned parking lot and the balcony door was painted shut! We had some food we wanted to put into the refrigerator. Well, there was an empty hole in the TV stand where it looked like one used to be. No more. There are many more things I could say that went wrong but I’m exhausted from thinking about it. Just don’t stay here. Customer service was also horrible. This is supposed to be a Crowne Plaza!

Staying here as a part of relief work that I'm doing in the area. This hotel is very nice. All of the staff are really friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a little wonky in that they have buildings that they use instead of floors so it's a LONG walk to your room. I suggest finding your building outside and parking at the nearest door. Other than that the rooms are clean and up to date, it has central AC with a thermostat and it keeps up when it's warm out.

I love the crowne plaza. Close to the stadium. Nice pool. Beautiful hot tub. All the services. It is gettin to be a tad dated but a wonderful place to stay. Especially considering the area.

It is very large and lacks signage to make sure you're in the right building. Missing update rooms and the lift it seems that is not going to move.

The salon event is very elegant.

Comfortable and clean! Fresh smelling room (refreshingly no smoke or mold smell), ice cold a/c, clean, clean, clean! Gotta buy those great pillows there were so comfy! Great breakfast and pleasant staff. We loved the deep pool. Older but awesome. I would go back.

Stayed over night, the staff was spectacular and very helpful as well as friendly. The rooms were nice and the bed had me asleep within a few minutes of laying down. The meal that I was served in the restaurant was delicious which was the grilled chicken and seasonal vegetables. Chicken was tender and flavorful, veggies we're nicely seasoned with a nice kind of kick to them. All in all I enjoyed my stay very much and would gladly go back again.

The people are fantastic. They take care of your every need. To the Managers, Desk Staff, Restaurant, Bar, Housekeeping, maintenance. It is an older Hotel and there are issues that they take care of if they know about it. They are just wonderful. Having been through Cancer battles with my wife, for the last two and a half years. They understand your needs and do everything they can to make your life easier. They are like friends. Definitely be recommend this Hotel.

Awesome experience. Check in line was long due to event at NRG. Line flowed and was orderly. Convenient walk to and from after event. Housekeeping was very nice in the morning. Hotel was sold out. Husband and I got our own beds. It was fun! I want nuzzled all on him and pushing him of the bed. We both got great rest separately. Made fun of the situation after. Parking was safe even though there was also event parking at the hotel.

Clean rooms, friendly front desk staff. Booked the pizza package and experienced the run around when ordering. Asked for a manager who finally got it sorted out. GM sent us vouchers for free breakfast, which was nice. Short walking distance to NRG stadium where we attended a concert. Free parking at the hotel.

The hotel was nice. Only that the room was dark.

My wife and I stayed here in August of 2015 when we came from Fort Worth to attended a 49ers @ Texans preseason game (GO 9ERS! ) The Hotel is a 7 minute walk with other fans to the stadium. Awesome. Loved It. Older Hotel. Price was perfect for what we needed. Very friendly front desk staff that was able to let us check in early. Saved the day. That allowed us to spend the entire afternoon in the pool with everyone else in town for the game. The hallway had a minor musty odor, but it didn't bother us since we weren't sleeping in the hall. The room was Great. Large room with a very comfortable bed and large, clean bathroom. We had a balcony overlooking the hot tub and viewing the pool and garden. Large property. Decent gym. Only stayed 1 night, but would have loved to stay longer. We are coming to Houston again this year for a Preseason game, but unfortunately need to save a few bucks and will be staying at a different hotel. Not stoked about that, but that has nothing to do with my review. Great Place to stay.

I attended a Seminar at Crowne Plaza. Fromt desk was very helpful, great staff, great location, however the water damage to the east side of Plaza was very noticeable. I didn't notice any wet signs anywhere it could've been dangerous if somebody would've hurt them selfs due to the rain water that was coming in thru cracks.

Won't stay again. The other group we were with had someone walk into their room because the front desk gave them the same room and keys… And the dead bolt and lock didn't work on the room they were in… Oh, and the front desk said there were no other rooms available… UNACCEPTABLE!

If I could give less than one star I would. The staff was rude, the bathrooms had mold, the entire placed smelled terrible and COCKROACHES EVERYWHERE. We packed up and left, never even slept in our beds.

We been there for norouwz party but they couldn't handle 100 people, my friend came here from california and he just ate white rice, because they had no more dinner at 8.00 pm, shame on this people call them self hotel, SHAME THE MANAGMENT!

Went here after rodeo cook off. There was a huge number of people here and the staff handled them really well. They had a live band and if you were staying at the hotel you referenced drink passes.

It is comfortable and there is a good linpieza.

The location was great! The room wasn't that great. The balconies have a screen that doesn't come all the way down and so students were going underneath these to get to other balconies. A real safety concern, especially since one of my student's rooms had their lock broken and door wide open after returning from an event. The water didn't drain in the shower and there was a roach in my bathroom. The breakfast staff was wonderful though.

We stayed in building 6 Rio Grande. It was moldy, dusty, smelled horrible of mildew. Nice balcony view of the pool. Only the balcony doors are nailed shut. All night long we heard the elevator wailing like mating whales. The air conditioner stayed one temp-humid cool — and it was not hot or humid outside. There's a nice unmanned lobby area too. If your key deactivates you have a nice long walk to the main lobby. Nearly every employee speaks somewhat understandable broken English, but it takes every ounce of concentration to comprehend them. Overall, no I'll never come back here, nor would I recommend anyone stay here unless they update and make some huge changes.

Beds were hard. Walls were thin there was a loud mouth in the room next to ours and heard every word she said for about 4 hours. Breakfast buffet not with it. Bathroom was small. We were there for a football game so being able to walk across the street to the stadium was a plus.

The staff is awesome, the rooms are very nice, plenty of space and very clean. The breakfast they offer quest is hard to beat excellent buffet. Rates are very responsible concidering all they offer. Great job guys I will only stay here as long as you have a room available.
