Great friendly staff! Conveniently located near shops, restaurants, and the convention center which for the most part is all at walking distance. Awesome pool!

Too high priced, need movie channels and a dog park. Rooms needs to be sound proof from outside and next door noises.

I always stay here when I'm in the area. Customer service and accommodations is always great. I travel a lot for my job and stay at a few hotels a month and I have yet to find one who serves a better breakfast.

Suits, regular rooms, breakfast, good service and a bar.

This is my preferred stayocation in mcallen and the valley area. Its clean, economical, has a bar in the lobby area. And the big plus is now they have a BBQ catering bhusiness in the parking lot area and the food is great. The pool is always clean and never cluttered. I would definitely recommend this location to all my friends and family.

I’m just going to be honest, and Straight forward. The rooms are nice the building is nice but the slamming of the room doors is ridiculous La QUINTA should adjust the doors so they do not slam when a person inters or exits the room. This door slamming wakes other residents up when they may want to be asleep. In future construction of La QUINTA buildings more insulation and or sound deadning construction materials should be utilized. No one likes to be woken up by a door slamming.

The room was nice and the price is very good, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to give this hotel two out of five stars because the room was definitely not meant to muffle noises between the hotel rooms. Our room and the room next to us were connected by a door that it did very little (if at all) to muffle the noises from the occupants in the next room. I can hear everything. I can hear the TV shows they are watching right now, the conversations they're having with each other, whenever they pick up or put down an object, whenever they sigh… I'm not going to blame the occupants next door for making noise, it was normal things like chatting and listening to the TV. I can't blame people for living. But I'm afraid I will have to attribute the lack of forethought in creating a room in this fashion. I see no point to a pretty room if you can't relax in it. Granted, this issue can be resolved with ear plugs, but things like isolating the noises within individual rooms seems to be common sense, especially when housing multiple guests. I am afraid I will not stay in this hotel again.

Nice place to stay. In stayed in others but this one is by far the best. Beds were comfy n well made. Greeted by smiles and not some one all debbie downer.

I stay over more then 10 times. Morning breakfast is amazing. Very nice and always clean room fast. Love it.

Nice showers everything was over all really nice complimentary breakfast was pretty darn good the only complaint. I have is they need better toilet paper.

Friendly staff, beautiful rooms with modern decor. The salt water pool was a favorite for all my kids and breakfast was a delicious treat!

The hotel is in good location as nearby you have several restaurants less than a mile up you can walk to, the hotel offers breakfast, coffee all day, and in the start room they have TVs, the mattress was not as comfortable.

New, spacious rooms, spacious lobby with coffee sofas and biscuits all day, breakfast included. Reasonable prices for family groups. Excellent service at reception.

Clean, comfortable, and new. This hotel is very nice and the staff are very responsive. The cooked breakfast is very good, although they seemed unprepared for the number of people took advantage of this amenity. I have stayed there twice and will definitely return.

Great hotel and location with modern furnishings and HD Tv's in the room. The only thing I didn't like was that the TV in the front lobby was set to Fox News and the volume was pretty loud. I'm not a news persons (especially first thing in the morning) especially Fox News. I would prefer to see nature footage or some kind of relaxing visuals instead of news.

This is a good location in McAllen. The airport is close by (10 minutes) and they offer a shuttle service to it as well as other locations in town. We stayed for a week and the staff was top notch. They offer good advice on places to visit and are willing to go above and beyond to make your stay more enjoyable. The convention center, very nice restaurants, and shopping are all within walking distance. This is a good place to chill if your going to be in McAllen.

Wow. When I first walked into the place I was greeted and I was fascinated on how gorgeous it was. The front desk people were truly nice. My room was pretty much spotless, the shower was so cool it was a glass sliding door, the bed was amazing, just everything was amazing. The pool was beyond that though. I wish I had that pool in my back yard haha. Plus the convention center was walking distance when I had an event there. This hotel even had a shuttle that brought me back to the bus station when I had to leave… wish I didn't have to leave in the first place haha. I had such an unforgettable experience. Thank you!

Second time visiting this hotel and still a very good experience. Comfortable room with attractive decor, very nice lobby, 2 comped drinks at the bar Mon-Thurs, excellent location for convention center with several walkable restaurants. Shuttle is available for errands in 5mi radius — possible downside is longer wait for it when another customer is taking advantage of this (I waited a bit longer than I'd like for airport pickup). Breakfast is above average in my experience in this hotel class, with a few different options for both protein and carbs and not too much of the sitting out for hours flavor and texture you get at some hotels. Very good coffee dispenser available 24/7 with everything from straight hot milk to whipped black coffee.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for his birthday and the hotel was pretty packed, the pool was full with kids the whole time we stayed there. The elevators were wet most of the time. They were loud the whole time but at night when we were laughing and having fun in our room we had a security guard come and tell us to keep it down because they were complaining. Even though we can still hear them get loud and opening doors all night. In the morning we got up at 10 for breakfast but not to surprise found that there was none left. I walked in the breakfast area and the cook asked me what she can help me with and I asked what time was breakfast and she said 10 am, it was 10:30 so I asked if there was anymore and she said "it starts at 10" so we left without breakfast. It was a nice hotel and nice rooms but I think our stay could've gone better. I wish I knew there was going to be so many kids that night. I did not feel welcomed at all and I felt like we paid extra for a hotel with breakfast and a pool for nothing since we didn't get to enjoy it.

Nice, new, and modern hotel with exceptionally low rates. The rooms are decently sized. Beds are comfortable. It is in the approach line for the airport so if you are extremely noise sensitive it may be bothersome, although I rarely heard planes from my room. On the other hand, if you're a fan of airplanes you'll get to see a nice variety fly overhead at a pretty low altitude. Good amount of shopping and restaurants nearby, but you'll still want a car to get to most.

Very clean room with nice breakfast and service.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was terrific when we had questions. Breakfast was hot and stocked with Tex Mex and traditional foods. Comfortable and clean. Will recommend and hope to stay again soon. My only suggestion is to keep the pool open later.

No issues so far! New and updated. Fitness center is great. Nachos and subway were served in the lobby tonight. Great customer service as well. I would stay here again.

We came from Dallas to visit family, and here is where we stayed only for 1 night. Reasons, we checked in and immediately changed for the pool, I have a 17, 7 and 4 year old, in the first 5 minutes the assistant manager came out in a very fast pace asking my family who we were and if those kids in the pool where his, after giving her our room number she stated that many teens from the neighborhood jump the fence to go swim and she "thought" we were them. She asked my husband to get wrist bands from the front desk to wear for the pool. Now, there were Caucasian people swimming also, nothing was told to them nor did they have wrist bands. I also asked where was the timer for the jacuzzi, she said there was NO timer and the jacuzzi was broken and she will have the maintenance come right away to take a look at it… I walked around again and actually found the timer and turned it on and worked fine. Oh by the way, no maintenance ever came and we were there for an hour. After getting out I was given a hard time because I asked for towels, asking again what room I'm in. We stay at hotels at least 2x a month every month, this hotel will never get a visit from us again. I hope they don't give anyone else a hard time about their pool.

The hotel is new, it's nice, the breakfast is good but basic. The rooms are very cosy, but the Internet fails enough … it costs a lot of work for a Laptop to stay connected by 10 or more. A cell phone or Tablet, lasts longer but always disconnects. At the front desk mention that they are on it … all in all OK, but the Internet if they should fix it. Its location is good and central. They have shuttle from the airport to the hotel and can take you 5millas round.

The best La Quinta I've stayed so far. Brand new everything, great location in McAllen, breakfast included even morning and 24/7 coffee machine in the lobby. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for a family visit. The cleanliness, friendliness of the staff, the bar, the pool, everything was beyond expectations. It was also dog friendly and the cocktails were made from scratch and very tasty. I highly recommend staying here. We will be back.

Very nice, new and clean.

It has very good location, completely new, everything is very nice, I just think it is still a bit expensive for the type of food they offer, with that difference you can go for breakfast to a nice place, good service and attention.
