This is a great place to spend a night or two. I work for a big LTL transportation company and every time I have to stay in Schertz, TX I stay in this hotel. Good place.

This hotel is a hot mess. Ya, the lobby looks nice but that's all. My first room had a busted AC and was 80F. I couldn't even call the front desk for help because the phone was broken too. They switched me to a new room. My second room had no TV remote and the bathroom looked like things had just been ripped off the walls, bare screws and holes in the drywall. To their credit, the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot.

I went to visit my parents. While the floor pattern gave me a moment's concern, the entirety of the establishment was clean, well-maintained, and very pleasant. The staff was very helpful and welcoming.

The rooms were impressive but we had to change rooms initially as the maid failed to change the sheets and clean the refrigerator. There were excessive amounts of hair in the sheets, blankets were extremely wrinkled and leftovers still in the box… yet she had the audacity to leave a card asking to rate the service/cleanliness lol.

We have a suite. The room is handicapped accessible even tho we didn't ask for it to be. Very roomy and comfortable. Front desk made sure we had what we needed. I have used this LaQuinta the last 3 years when we come this way and will always use them. Thank you LQ.

My room was clean and comfortable. King sized bed, a sofa bed and 2 chairs, plus room for a desk and chair and it didn't feel crowded. There was a mini fridge and microwave in the room, temp control worked great. Outdoor pool and hot tub looked good. The fitness center has an elliptical, a treadmill, a bike and a Nautilus machine. The breakfast was better than expected with scrambled eggs, bacon, bread selection, waffles, cereal, juice, etc. All the staff I met were polite and helpful.

Great location. Friendly staff and over all very clean. Giving three stars because a fixture on the tub was rusting and the AC unit in our room needed some serious TLC.

The hotel was nice. The rooms are good size. We did have an issue with our first room… the toilet broke when we used it and we had to change rooms. This was an inconvience because they said they didn't have anyone from maintenance at that time. The location is near restaurants and Walmart with great highway access. We would stay again if visiting the area again.

Rooms were ok. Had a broken toilet on the first room, but got switched to another room after I told the desk. Maintenance wasn't there at the time to fix it on the spot. Good location, close to restaurants and a Wal-Mart.

Step, near San Antonio.

The cost is comparable to other local hotels that have executive suites but don't actually have separate rooms. The staff is friendly. We've stayed here several times and will likely again. But, you should know a few things. A request for cotton or synthetic pillows due to allergy will not be respected. Luckily, there is a Wal-Mart across the street. While they say the breakfast ends at 930, you best not show up at 915 expecting to get food. They are already picking up food. Lights are out by 930.

Centrally located near shopping and restaurants. Easy access to freeway. Stayed in a double queen unit. Beds were okay and rooms were clean. There was a microwavw and fridge in room. Continental breakfast with make your own waffles. Obviously under renovation as hallway carpet was being installed as we arrived. The reason I only gave 5 stars carpet pieces from newly installed carpet still had not been vacuumed up 2 Days later. No towel racks in bathroom for our towels. No toilet paper holder for toilet paper.

Reserved a King room. Spacious room with comfy bed. Clean with plenty of towels. Cold A/C. Breakfast better than most complimentary hotel breakfasts. La Quinta as a company is a little skimpy with the toiletries but I don’t hold it against this particular location. They saved the day with a complimentary toothbrush when I realized I forgot mine! Front desk staff provided excellent customer service. My favorite place to stay when I’m in Schertz!

Nice location on just off interstate, close to fast food shops and fuel. Quite, little traffic noise. Hotel appears to have recently been updated with fresh paint job inside. Room was clean and spacious with couch and desk with good office chair. Bed was kingsize and comfortable. Breakfast was typical self serve but adequate. Coffee was good and hot. Overall a nice stay.

We had to get two rooms on 10/2/17 due to our AC going out at home. My husband got the suite for us since we had two of our children with us and he had to work the next day. The other room was for our older two. As soon as we walked into the suite it smelled like pure dog urine. The carpet was FILTHY with stains all over it and there was some dog food in the sink. It was late and we were hot and exhausted so I asked the lady at the front desk for something to at least spray in the room hoping to make it better. We tried that and it just smelled like covered up dog urine. The bed was comfortable and it was the coldest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in and that made us happy after not having any AC at home for two days prior. When we checked out the next day, I told another front desk attendant about the putrid smell when you walk in and she just said, “oh ok. ” Not sure anything was done about it or not. I am not sure cleaning the carpet in that room would work as I think it needs to be replaced. The other room we had was totally fine and clean. It had no smell whatsoever. Last but not least, the breakfast was less than desirable.

We stayed here after our wedding in Boulder Springs New Braunfels and it was THE perfect spot for pre-honeymoon travels and post-wedding haven. Such a wonderful spot, just right, perfect leftover of the country side and entering the cusp of urban ambiance; and youve got everything you need around it (and down the road) — stores, gas, food. Staff was super friendly, service was awesome, very chill and relaxing vibes and the breakfast was freaking GREAT! Very nice variety and delicious. We're definitely going back.

Private place for couples (anniversary), and for the family mile and very wax the caverns and the zoo (by car). Very good I recommend it in addition near the oulets and places to eat… Excellent.

The first thing I noticed on our 3 day stay was that there is NO TOILET PAPER HOLDER. I'm sorry, but that should be mandatory. The shelves under the sink were where they had the rolls, but you couldn't reach it while using the toilet, so we put the rolls on the back of the toilet tank. Second thing that annoyed me was the toilet flush button. You have to push it, stand there holding it and then wait for it to completely flush. It wouldn't have been so bad but I realized there was no way anyone could clean these buttons properly. Thousands of people's toilet germs never being cleaned off was a pretty gross thought. Third thing I noticed was something like a trashcan liner over the fire alarm. I don't know how it got there, but that can't be up to code. The shower curtain (these should just be changed out more often) smelled moldy and there were patches of mold in the grout. We stayed here 6 years ago and it was newer then. It's showing the wear now. It is probably time for an update at this hotel but: they take pets, they have a great breakfast and have an outdoor pool. It wasn't horrible, but it is aging.

The location was very nicely decorated, conveniently located to quite a few food options, the room was a bit small, but we had two large queen sized beds, so we didn't mind. The pool was a good size and the breakfast was great!

Hotel seemed very nice and new. It was clean and staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable, and ac worked great. My only complaint would be that parking is inadequate on the weekend. Cars were double parked and made things difficult. Also thought it was also odd that the room was so nice but there was no toilet paper roll holder. Overall this was a good stay, and I would do it again.

The stay was great but the only thing was the parking not enough space to park. I had to park on the other side in the small mall. Due to that some moving trucks parked in the middle of the parking lot where some of us could have parked. And to please extend the breakfast hours please.

Rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. The fitness center is open 24 hours. The pool was great for kids. The best part was being able to have our dog with us, it is a labrador, the atmosphere is fairly friendly and comfortable, we saw several families with their pets. Great clean rooms. Great gym schedule. Good breakfast. Good pool for the kids. Great family environment, I loved the fact to have our Labrador with us, this is a real pet friendly hotel.

This is my second time staying at this location. It was centrally located to what was on my agenda, and I remembered it being comfortable. I booked for three days using on-line, and that was easy, check in was well, the breakfast offered in the morning was disappointing. The second day I opted to sleep in but was woken up by housekeeping at 9am having an extremely loud conversation on her cell phone. Frustrated and starting the day earlier than intended, I leave only to find that my tailgate had been stolen at sometime during the night. So much for a "safe" area. It might just be a series of unfortunate events, but I will no longer stay at this location.

The blankets are awful, terrible, horrible! Could not sleep because the blankets were so terrible, and scratchy! Continental breakfast was nice, but the blankets ruined the whole experience! Staying in a hotel is supposed to be about sleeping to rest up for your next days adventures, but I could not rest with those blankets!

Amazing front desk staff, no pets fees, clean, comfortable hotel. I also loved that tells towels actually felt like towels and not cardboard.

I lived here for a month until our house was move in ready. The family rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff was really friendly too. I made my first Texas shape waffle here :)

Rooms were clean. But forget asking for special accommodations due to advanced age and medical situations. Traveling with my elderly parents who both have heart conditions. Requested rooms on first floor near each other. Assigned one on first floor and one on second floor on OPPOSITE ends of the building!

Not good. Rented a King deluxe suite with hide-a-bed for the two kids. I clearly stated that I had 4 people in the room. Arrived late and tired… checked in, and found that the hide-a-bed was literally a love seat… creating a twin sized 'bed' (with no sheets… had to ask special for those). I called downstairs to express my disappointment and asked for a roll-around 'bed' for the other kid… because the sofa 'bed' was a joke. Now, you may wonder why I use the quotes around 'bed'… oh let me tell you.! The mattresses were so pathetic that it would be impossible for an adult to sleep on them. The roll-around 'bed' was like a spring hammock with a thin padding… I was worried that my 10yo son would be sore the next day. The sheets and springs on the roll-around looked like they were created circa WWII at a camp. The sofa 'bed', wasn't much better. The whole thing was really unacceptable and low budget. I would be ok with it if it was a Motel 6… but it was La Qunita… who I expect more from. We tried to move hotels, but there was an event in town and all was sold out. Won't be staying here again. The fridge was sqeeky and ran all night… we unplugged it. One extra star for pleasant enough staff and texas shaped waffles.

Warning! Pictures & online reviews of this hotel are VERY DECEPTIVE! Our stay was very disappointing! Not only was our room in horrible condition (stained curtains, torn up carpet, stained chair, broken table with bite & claw marks, dirty comforter) BUT there is a concrete plant directly behind the hotel! At 6am every morning there were large trucks and rigs blaring & banging loudly through our walls, which was our lovely alarm. The concrete plant was also our view. In addition, the pool and property were lined with torn yellow construction tarps. The pool furniture was worn and falling apart. We were told the pool was heated prior to arrival, to find upon arrival — per staff — "the sun heats the pool", which was a huge disappointment to the kids. Upon sharing our disappointment with staff about the quality of the hotel and checking out early, as opposed to apologizing, the staff argued with us. Horrible, horrible experience. I would never return. The only reason I gave this hotel 2 stars, is because there is s fenced in yard for the pets.

Very friendly staff, everything within walking distance great restaurants pizza and mexican and Walmart right across the street. I would definitely stay here again! Didn't have a pet but pet friendly.

The hotel staffs are very accommodating in all my needs. They let me rebooked my accommodations without any hassle. They even approved our late check out! I'm a satisfied client.

Beautiful hotel! The interior of the rooms is top-notch, high quality! Laminate wood floors, granite in the bathrooms. The staff are VERY nice. We had to stay here when we were evacuated from our apartment due to a wildfire. With an infant and two puppies in tow, the staff made sure we were comfortable and gave us a discounted rate. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.
