Television wasn't working well, the front desk wasn't very helpful when it came to movies or food service, and the place just has kind of a sketched out vibe to it in spite of recent remodeling. The 9th floor pool was cool though, and there was some decent views. Oh and we found a spent joint on our balcony, which was pretty cool. Eh. I don't know. It's a fine last resort, but do a little looking around elsewhere too.

The hotel it's self was very nice, it was quite and clean. The elevators don't work without a key and the keys can be unreliable, but it did make me feel safer. That being said outside the hotel was a different story, I did not feel safe. I came back from an outing with my family and outside the hotel were a pair of men that made me feel threatened. The way they were dressed and the way they were talking we're only some of the things, also they were carring around bags. Now I have nothing against homeless people but I've had some approach me in strange ways before, and I do feel frightened by them. That brings me to the valet. They were unreliable to say the least, and for one night we had to pay 30$! We only took the car out once and if it says valet only online, don't be fooled you can park your own car. This hotel is beautiful the staff was friendly and such, but the experience wasn't what I had hoped for. Hope you make your own memories at this wonderful hotel!

Overall pretty standard room. Nice balcony view. (We had some difficulty opening the sliding door but whatever). The Thrive restaurant was great as well. Short wait, great service and food.

I can’t see how other guests were above to give more than 1 star. I stayed with my husband and daughter while he was there for work. The desk staff weren’t pleasant and actually made me feel as if I were inconveniencing them. The lobby had a terrible odor. The lobby seating had extremly faded and filthy furniture. The carpeting throughout the hotel was filthy. It never seemed to be vacuumed. The swimming pool deck look nothing like the photos. One of the gazebo like frames over the sitting in two buckets. 2 of the 3 washers were out of order and 1 of the 3 dryers were out of order. So that didn’t make things convenient. I also noticed that the fire alarm on level 9 is in need of some maintenance… The room was filled with noise coming from the streets. There was a gap in the non opening sliding glass door which let in so much sound. The desk staff told me there was only one microwave in the hotel which was in the lobby. I noticed it took them days before it was cleaned. The carpeting in my room had “hard spots” from staining and not being properly cleaned. On multiple occasions I had to ask for new bedding because there was so much staining. Horrible hotel, horrible experience.

Horrible experience in the Dallas. We stayed here because I love the one in Louisville. But the Dallas location lobby smelled like a dirty diaper that hit you in the face. Our floor smelled so bad of mold. When we entered the hotel room the headrest had fallen off the wall onto the bed. Wow. One queen size bed was smaller than the other! It smelled so bad my asthma flared up. They switched us to a different floor and room. The hallways had left over dust from construction and it was never vaccummed. Very unhappy. Gross.

My husband and I got a great rate on a room here through my work. When we got there the first thing I noticed is how dated the lobby was, it also smelled horribly of sewage or something similar. The folks coming in and out of the hotel (presumable other guests) were sketchy looking. When we got to our room it too was incredibly outdated. Low, cracked ceilings. Dingy smell. More like a motel not a hotel. We could hear what sounded like a part outside (it was 9:30pm) … only to look outside and see we were put in a room directly outside of the pool. My husband and I decided to head out for a late dinner and some drinks to try to get our minds off of the abysmal space. When we returned there was a tray with old spaghetti sitting outside of the room… assuming someone in a room nearby sat it there? The room was so gross we couldn't stay. We immediately checked out and decided to head home (despite the fact that it was 2am). The hotel staff seemed completely unconcerned about why we were checking out so soon. Even after my husband made a comment about the low quality of the hotel and our room they could have cared less. They said nothing at all… not even an apology. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else please!

The hotel is currently under renovation, so it's a bit noisy and dusty. The location is pretty good, good access to public transportation. The parking garage is a bit confusing, but quite adequate. My room was nice, but felt a bit outdated. The fitness room was good, plenty of equipment. The pool was nice, very comfortable.

I was at Crowne Plaza Dallas Downtown last Thursday through Sunday. I have stayed at a lot of hotels/motels over the years. This was the worst facility I can ever remember staying at in my entire life. When I arrived on Thursday I found out that the television in my room didn't work, there was a phone in my room that didn't work, there was no closet and not even a wall rack so that I could hang any of my clothes on hangers and no waste basket in the living area (there was a small one in the bathroom). Since I had my computer with me and I worked on-line during my entire stay I would have appreciated a waste basket. There also wasn't a refrigerator in my room. The ice maker on the floor didn't work. When I woke up on Friday I had a problem with the toilet since it would not shut off and the reserve tank was almost over flowing until I shut the water off. I informed the desk that the toilet needed repair and I went through the laundry list of problems, assuming they would fix the toilet and address some of the other concerns (a waste basket, a rack to hang my clothes, a refrigerator, etc. ) or offer to move me to another room. The toilet was fixed but none of the other concerns were addressed. I was also surprised that there wasn't an area at all in the hotel to buy snacks, pop, etc. The room was $169 per night and with taxes, accommodation fees, etc. It was $194.79 per night.

The hotel is outdated and the bathroom tub would not drain. We mentioned this 4 times with no result. We also asked for extra coffee for our room and were told they not have any. We choose this hotel for the location and restaurant. Very poor service and the food was not that great. We were very disappointed with our stay for the price we paid. The hotel staff was very helpful in taking us around in the shuttle. The boys were great. I would probably not stay here again.

Quite dated. It shows everywhere — the room, the lobby, the restaurant. Parking garage is a nightmare to climb up very tight spiral ramp, and navigating between levels on have to be careful Too many skid marks on the garage walls tell the story. Oh yes, one more thing — it cost $18 per day which is not included into the room price The rooms are standard, nothing special. Few fixtures in mine were half broken And the remote control for the TV doesn't even have a menu button, you have to flip through the channels without knowing which one is which till you get to it … The good part is that room had plenty of the outlets to charge electronics and bed was comfortable… Another thing going for it is the location… Other than that, I probably wouldn't stay there again …

Hotel is stuck in the 70’s. Room and bathroom was in horrible condition. Walls in bathroom were literally falling apart from water rot. Wallpaper was torn and falling off walls. Breakfast buffet was pathetic. Bar is the perfect setting for a remake of the disco scene with John Travolta. Location is perfect but hotel is in dire need of makeover.

So where do I start? First off its in the heart of Dallas which provides nice views if you get a room with a balcony. Now some bad, the rooms and decor are a bit dated. The hotel has a nightclub that is only open on Friday and Saturday. Apparently it has also become the epicenter of a bondage club (BED) so if you are into group bondage it must be fun but attracts alot of attention, probably unwanted. The drinks in the bar are good and the afternoon bartender (Audrey) was really fun to chat with. The food was mediocre.

Nice hotel with newly renovated rooms. The room service food is great and the staff is helpful. They went out of their way to make sure our evening went great!

A decent downtown hotel. Service was fine and there were some interesting amenities (including a 9th floor outdoor pool). But the decor was way too minimal, carpets were old, and it smelled weird.

Most things are decent enough. However, our room only has one mirror, in the bathroom. There's not an additional mirror nor a full length mirror in the room, which made makeup/hair difficult with multiple women in the room. Also, we had to take pictures of each others outfits to see how we looked since there was not a full length mirror nor a mirror we could see past our waist in. The bed was comfortable, but we were (well technically are… laying in the bed right now) in a room the overlooks the pool area and there is music that plays constantly. Last night we were hoping that it stopped at midnight or so, but it played all through the night. So, if you are a light sleeper, apparently this is not the spot for you. It’s 1:32 and this damn music is still playing. I attempted to call the front desk to see if it could be turned off, but there was no answer. Other than those two issues that are ruining our stay. It was fine enough. Stayed at the Omni on our last trip and it was absolutely delightful for a similar price point.

Very nice staff, service, food, room and everything. It is located within walking distance of lots of fun places and great food. My only issue is the elevators. There was more than once I was waiting over 20 mins for an elevator. Maybe add two more in another part of the building.

It is an already old hotel, when it is crowded, the elevated ones are saturated enough. The good thing is the service, the club gets pretty good Saturday and Sunday, the location is excellent, you can walk to the West End, to the aquarium or to the shops and restaurants of Main St.

Parking was terrible. Check in was slow. Hallways dirty. The room was obviously outdated and wallpaper peeling in the bathroom although there was plenty of space. There is a stain on the carpet and there was BLOOD on the comforter! We ordered room service and it took an hour before they told us our wings were delivered to the wrong room. Oh, one more thing, the neighboring rooms can be heard loud and clear. UPDATE: Michael, we did that and the front desk was ZERO help. We called to have the comforter replaced and to check on food and to complain about the neighbors multiple times. Each call was less than helpful. We approached the desk at checkout about the noise issue and they barely offered us an apology, much less any compensation for the troubled stay.

The environment and the surroundings looked unsafe at night. During the day all ok. Rooms this well.

What hotel these days doesn't offer free breakfast with a stay? Even most motels offer that. And then to have to pay for parking to boot? Once you factor in the added little things that you get free elsewhere, you can do so much better for the $200/night this place is going to cost you. The rooms desperately needs updating, but at least they are clean. (P. S. Bring your own TP. Trust me. )

Location was great. Price was right. Room was actually very quiet for being right in the middle of downtown. Parking was nice, although was $18. But that's expected downtown. Little funky to actually access the hotel. Didn't really use any other facilities. Room was old and a little run down as were the hallways and the lobby, but overall a pleasant experience. Staff was nice. Seemed about right for the price.

Where do I even begin. We entered and the toilet has used paper in it and the seat was up. Than no go to lay on the pillow and there are stains. The following day I was told they have a shuttle service so I decide to use it, they quoted me 15 minutes and got there 35 minutes later, I missed an event at my husband's work because of it. I come back to the room that was never cleaned only to find it really cold still. Maintenance came up to check it out, turns out the hot water valve was turned off? In 35 degree weather, a room with no heat is a mystery. The following day my husband specifically requested to have the room cleaned, they say sure, no problem. We come back and the room hasn't been touched. I call down to speak to the rude receptionist Chris and he informs me that the policy is to clean the room ONCE EVERY 3 DAYS! I too, couldn't get a bottle of water, and told there wasn't any, yet when we walked into the room the first day there was one in the room. My husband and I travel a lot and stayed in hundreds of hotels a have never had an experience like this. We will never stay in a Crowne Plaza again.

The location is beunissima in the middle of downtown, and the room was large and comfortable. However, it was not the most clean, conversation a very small bathroom, and the view is not I impressions a lot. But poor the precious and the location, complaints are few.

Bad, I have 20 years traveling and this is the first time that I charged separately from the parking and the breakfast Buffet (continental) the front desk if you do not ask do not say anything to cobrartelo all to the output, example if you don't ask for the breakfast will come apart, most State offices, the kitchen, etcetera, etcetera, I will not return to that hotel, Haaaaaa, and at first without desirte te lower 100 God for WARRANTY, and I queeeee! Won't stain, haaaa I missed, sali, returns as at 2 in the afternoon and my room is as I left it, Not cleaned (they forgot) and todavi ask me want to li. Pieamls right now or when it comes out, not that did it.

I've got to say. I am shocked by the bad reviews. Our stay in March of 2017 was wonderful. The hotel is older but clean. The room was nice. We had a balcony with incredible views of the city. Everything we could possibly need was within walking distance. The staff was kind and extremely helpful. We had no problem finding the parking garage right next to the entrance. The pool was cold but what can you expect it was March. We got our tickets for a great price from booking through the Fan Expo site. We have already reserve our room for the next Fan Expo in April of 2018 and look forward to sharing the experience with our children.

My husband and I have stayed with Crowne Plaza before so we were expecting a better experience. If you’re looking for a good nights sleep, just know that the walls are thin and even though our neighbors weren’t particularly loud, we could hear every word. The staff here was generally rude. The room we were given had a cracked window with tape covering it. There was feces in the toilet, although it appeared that the toilet had been “cleaned” as the toilet seat was up and toilet paper folded. We couldn’t find a single bottle of water in the hotel. When we asked the front desk they simply told us they were out. For such a large chain that is something that just shouldn’t happen. If you’re in the area, I would recommend trying a different hotel.

Loved our first time with this wonderful Keller group! We met some very friendly and beautiful folks. We thought the attendance would be slim on account of the weather but it seemed to be a good number of people in attendance. Thank you for a great time.

The hotel was fine. Good views of downtown Dallas. It is a bit on the older side and in a sketchy area of downtown. Great access to the dart line, tho, so quick trip to the state fair.

Perks of the hotel include the price, location… and that's about it. Check in was simple, staff was helpful, but the room itself left a lot to be desired. The room was fairly clean, but could be cleaner. It might just be the building showing it's age, but there was an awful odor in the hallways that you could also smell in the room.

Easy to get to from Love Field using DART. Only costs $2.50. Friendly staff. Good service. Clean and comfortable.

Overall nice and experience. It was very accessible to restaurants and other attractions, but I did expect a bit more splendor for the price. The view was decent.

Nice room $16 to park is ok I guess. Not the best neighborhood, outside unloading area tiny and very inconvenient. The outside area is dirty, they would do well to use a pressure washer on occasion and empty their trash receptacles.

The Crowne Plaza is a nice place to stay. You can tell it is getting old, but has been well taken care of. The rooms are clean and we'll maintained with added amenities like a mini-fridge, a safe, and a flat screen TV. The bed was very nice, I think it was memory foam, and a combo of soft and firm pillows. The bathroom was nice, although it could have used some Drain-o in the tub drain. Overall, it was a nice and comfortable stay. I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in downtown Dallas.

Hotel was good. I stayed in the hotel overnight to attend a 9/11 event called Dallas Stair Climb. Front desk was useful. Be careful not to put your card and phone in the same pocket! It will deactivate the card.

Bathroom is cramped and dirty. We didn't arrive until 11pm so tomorrow we will see what they do about our room. The room is dated and I expected 2 queen beds but ended up with 2 full. I'm not impressed for sure! It is one of the lower priced hotels but not when you count the $16-$30 a night parking. Spend the extra to get a nicer hotel. Next year we won't be staying here (we come 1-3x a year usually).

Clean and comfortable hotel with helpful staff. Also easily accessible to many Dallas attractions. Downside is that we had a room overlooking the pool and there was a very loud pool party on Sunday.

Stayed there this weekend expecting a four-star experience. It did not happen. We were on the 18th floor overlooking the pool and were excited about spending a day in the cabanas. Pool was dirty and cloudy — you could not see the third step of the pool because of dirty, cloudy water. The front desk gave us only two breakfast vouchers for the weekend — though we had paid for four. We had to remind them next day. The front desk had no change only large bills. We wanted change to tip the valet. It was probably a good thing we didn't get the change. We couldn't find him — finally found him around the hotel corner. He was smoking a cigarette and playing on his phone. In fact, for most of the stay — the valets were smoking, on their phone, and inattentive. Hotel hallways needed a good vacuuming and they finally got one — at 10 p. M. On Saturday night. We heard a bump, bump at our door. Guess what, the hallway carpet was getting cleaned up while we we're trying to relax. Also, on Saturday, a young homeless person was splayed out against the Griffin Street side of the hotel and was not coherent. Police needed to be called. My husband said not to worry as he saw the hotel security walking around the corner and surely he would take care of it. We came back an hour later and the young man was still there, unconscious, drooling from the mouth, and the front desk could see his silhouette through the glass from the inside.

Crowne Plaza in Downtown Dallas is conveniently located centrally from everything you could possibly want to get to in the downtown area they have a variety of different rooms and they are part of the IHG Rewards program so if you book through them with your membership you will quickly establish points towards your free rooms. The service here is great the only downside is that they are well overdue for a renovation to kind of give the look a more modernized touch. One of the best things about the place though however is that they do have a pool Outdoors which is great for the Dallas Summers.

Nice location, decent price. The rooms were clean and comfortable but we had an issue with our air conditioning. Michael at the front desk was very helpful to us.

Staff has been very pleasant and my room is clean. The toilet in our room functions poorly but the shower worked well once adjusting the knob. The facility is rather dated and comes across as grungy. I think this could be a much better site with some updates and renovations.

The place is right in the historical center of Dallas. It is perceived a lot of homeless around the hotel. Do not feel confiablem.

I've been in the hospitality industry for a long time. This hotel is not worth what you pay. The rooms are very dated and the facility needs a good cleaning as well as some repairs. I was on the tenth floor just checked out a few hours ago. It is in a convenient location so they charge you an extra tax for that which is not mentioned anywhere in your reservation or at the front desk. Also there is a $50 deposit fee per day as an incidental. My toilet and sink were clogged in talking to another guest I found out hers was too maybe its a plumbing issue. Cleanliness could be better I would suggest a deep carpet clean or to rip that stained carpet up in the hallway and use tile. The a/c kick off is very loud and the dart rail train is too so if you are not a heavy sleeper I suggest staying on the side facing away from the city. Not all the rooms have microwaves and refrigerators as advertised. Good things about the hotel. It is close to everything. Depending on what room you get the balcony view is amazing. They do have a restaurant/bar inside as well as room service. The meeting rooms at the lower level of the hotel are great for your next business venture. If you like being downtown don't mind the noise from the hustle and bustle of the morning and don't mind the outdated bits I'd suggest a stay here.

I am a huge fan of Crown Plaza hotels, and this place is lovely. My room was on the smaller side, but was a high floor room had an amazing view of the city and was exactly what I wanted and asked for. Staff was very nice, courteous, and made great suggestions to visit the nightclub, and mentioned attractions in the area and answered any questions we had. Room was impeccably clean, everything worked and exceeded my expectations. The pool was beautiful, with a wonderful city view and busy with lots of guests enjoying the scene and sharing laughs with each other. There is a nightclub below the hotel which was also a very sexy and modern design, with good drinks and staff as well. This is likely the best deal you will find in the heart of Downtown Dallas so book and enjoy!

The location was awesome! We were less than 5 minutes from West Side where we had a pretty awesome brunch! Also, Deep Ellum was about a half hour walk which also was an amazing little neighborhood. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly as well as helpful. We took Uber all over the city and this was an easy and convenient location for pickup! Would definitely stay again!

We couldn't have picked a better spot to spend the night in downtown Dallas, not only is it a convenient location with a great staff and easy parking but the room was also amazing. The spacious room included a fridge, an amazing shower, easy to access/fast internet and the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in! I will definitely be staying here on return visits to Dallas!

So the ONLY REASON we stayed here is because we attended and expo in the hotel. It needs a massive overhaul. Firstly — it has a nightclub that causes the hotel so many problems that it needed to install room card readers in the elevators. I have stayed in 15 cities in the last year and the only other hotel that had a card reader was Costa Rica. At night, and not in each Elevator. The "nightclub" also doubles as a restaurant, well barely. The Breakfast food was not edible, the coffee was just flavored water and staff wasn't helpful. The room was very expensive for what I got in return. NO microwave in the room, a pedestal sink in the bathroom (where are my wife and I supposed to set our toiletries?! ). The coffee in the room was barely average, and the ironing board was missing part of its leg. I stayed in Richmond Va at a Crowne Plaza that was a palace, had great coffee, was fairly up to date. For $115 a night. I won't stay in this hotel ever again.

I stayed for 3 nights in April. Upon check in, I gave the front desk my name, showed my ID and credit card for incidentals, and all they did was hand me the keys to my room with no explaination of how to get to the elevator, no information given on hotel facilities and area attractions, and no paper work being signed which struck me as odd. I got there on a Saturday night just as people were leaving Thrive nightclub, and I saw a bunch of rude, drunk, noisy assholes in the lobby screaming and yelling things which made me feel very awkward and uncomfortable. Anyway, I go up to room and found some nasty stains on the carpet with what appeared to be dried ketchup or hot sauce and lotion, stains on the curtains, stains on the sheets, along with a big huge dent in the mattress, some mysterious substances on the nightstand and desk and no microwave. The people in the room next door to me were having a really loud conversation till 2:30 in the morning. It was really awful. Not to mention whatever cleaning chemicals they used in the hallways to mask some moldy smells was irritating my throat and making my eyes water. That said, I ending up having to switch rooms. The hotel is old and rundown in a really sketchy part of town. Not very safe after 9 p. M. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I didn't actually stay there, but I had booked a reservation so far in advance that I forgot if I had booked it or not. I called two days before to cancel the reservation and the front desk lady stated we didn't have a reservation. After the weekend I noticed on my card that I was charged for two nights, I was frustrated because I had tried to call and cancel. However, after talking to Peggy with the front desk, she was super nice and refunded all of my money. I would definitely make another reservation there just because they were willing to take care of this matter. Thank you Crown Plaza.

This was a moderately expensive motel lacking in many things. The reservations answer center was very nice over the phone but very misleading. They charged 19.00 to park at thier parking garage for overnight. The valet service which is not hotel staff was insanely rude about stopping at the front to check in and use a concierge cart. The hotel keys were constantly problematic everywhere which u have to use even for the elevator. And would not let us in our room 3 diff times due to faulty batteries in the lock. The "heated pool" was ice cold. The breakfast package that was pitched to us and purchased before we arrived still cost an extra 20 bucks for thier breakfast buffet. I would NOT suggest this hotel to anyone! The Ramada or Hilton or even a super 8 would of been better.

Stayed here for a few nights before moving to another hotel that we pre booked, although the other hotel was nice we were sorry we had to move. Lovely staff, nice clean spaces room and great food in the restaurant, only a short walk to the Daley plaza.

An average hotel in this tier. The front desk was a little short with more than one guest while I was checking in. All information given to me was more of a speed recital than instructions. The room was decent, but not more so than a Hampton Inn or Garden. Great price though.

Motel was nice, but customer service was horrible. Made reservations month in advance, arrived early but room was not ready. Check in is at 3 said room would b ready in an hour, waited till 4, nothing. Had to keep going to desk to ask finally got a room around 5:30 bc I had to ask how long does it actually take to clean a room. Been there waiting since 12:30 pm, and didn't get a room till 5:30. Then charged me parking on receipt, and then had to pay again when I left. Pretty sure will not stay there again. Never in my life had to wait so long for a room to b cleaned.

Stayed three nights for an on-site conference. Had a good experience. Room was nice and clean. The food the hotel provided for the conference was really good. The meeting rooms worked out great.

I was visiting a friend this evening and enjoyed the bar service available and the interesting design of the building. I was pleasantly surprised with how well the parking garage was managed as downtown parking in Dallas is reliably nightmarish. The rooms were very comfortable and maintained well from my experience.

Nice rooms, in the middle of downtown Dallas. Located on the same block add the bus station so there were a lot of "rough" people around. There is gated on-site parking but there is an up charge for using it ($16 a day).

Pitiful hotel, worst hotel sevice in history. They overbooked the hotel and even though I had a reservation with a confirmation code, because I wasn't there by 4pm, they sold my room. Horrible. Rude, and unapologetic. James was the supervisor. He was completely rude. He claimed he called me and couldn't reach me. … I was on a freaking plane!

Great location that is close to attractions and restaurants. Room is clean and comfortable, although it may get a bit noisy. Good selection of hot food for breakfast buffet. Hotel offers free shuttle only from Lovefield Airport, not to. Overall enjoyed my stay, the staff is friendly and helpful.

Location is great. Room was decent. The toilet ran, and the TV was messing up, but we were only there one night so not a huge deal. Would probably stay again. Price was good.

I stay there the most out of all of the hotels in downtown Dallas. I love the pool and while the hotel isn't the fanciest, I love it and find it comfortable. The high floors have great views and the place is calming and peaceful. A truly wonderful place to stay. Great location. Every Texas city should have one.
