Loved my time here. The suites were very nice, clean, and comfortable. I normally need my headphones to sleep in hotels because of noise and just difficulty not being in my own bed, but I didn't need them at all here. It isn't far from the Riverwalk. I actually liked that because it wasn't bogged down like the Riverwalk can get. Food was excellent, especially the Texas shaped waffles. Pool area was clean and enjoyable. The only issue was that one of the elevators kept having problems.

Pretty great place. Very clean. Breakfast is delicious. But it does get packed. Elevators close quickly. At times one may not be working. Parking is extra, about 27$ with tax per night. Great experience though. Staff is friendly, and accommodating.

Beautiful hotel in downtown San Antonio. Great bar with good drinks and nice happy hour. Meeting space is also very nice. This is the fanciest La Quinta I have ever been to.

Last night I was here working, and was overwhelmed with how nice the hotel looks on the inside and outside it was very clean. Words can't describe. Also the place is very convenient to Denny's, the River center mall, and the river walk where there are also other nice Restaurants such as Rainforest Cafe and has lots of places for entertainment. The Hotel does cost money but not to expensive. The Hotel has a Fitness center, Business Center, Swimming Pool, and Jacuzzi. So when you are here, Book your Reservation HERE. i would highly recommend staying here!

Very nice hotel, great location. Walking distance to Riverwalk and Alamo. King suite was a nice size but the bathroom is tiny. Decent pool and average breakfaat. Only downside, Parking is $25 a night. Also, if you've never been to a La Quinta before, plan to see dogs everywhere.

This was a nice hotel centrally located near restaurants, shopping mall and the Alamo. Staff and housekeeping were good and always helpful. They also had a nice outside pool and hot tub with lounging chairs Workout room was nice as well. In the morning you could get a free continental breakfast and make your own waffles, in the shape of Texas.

Very clean and cozy. The pool and hot bath tub was a nice addition to the amenities. Breakfast options were limited especially fruit choices. Fast and effective Wi-Fi. Within walking distance to eateries and mall.

Area is great. Right next to mall and one street over from the convention center. The staff is friendly and rooms are clean and nice. They have on site pool, gym, and laundry room. Only thing I didn't like was that you have to use card to pay for washer and dryer.

Loved our stay. Great service and their breakfast was great too. I would definitely go back there.

I have been a La Quinta member for years. This is my first complaint. I will never visit another hotel of this chain again. The disrespect showed to myself and my dog was unbelievable. Do not stay here. I will sleep in my truck with my dog before I stay here again. Absolutely worst La Quinta I’ve stayed at on this side of Denver.

BS that I book a king size bed, but because I check in a few hours later than 4:00 pm, they assign my room to someone else. This means that a 6’4” guy is now assign a double bed. This is total BS. I booked a King size bed only to get a double. Beware of this “corporate “ policy if you don’t check in early.

Convenient location only 2-3 blocks away from the convention center. They offer hot breakfast daily at no extra cost. The rooms were nothing special, and there was mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom. The fitness center was pretty gross.

I usually give La Quinta's a high rating because the remodels are nice, and pets stay free (we have two dogs). This hotel must have an AC issue during our stay. The hotel was warm and damp smelling. The room seemed damp as well. This location charged for parking (usually free) and it wasn't even in a parking garage. Also, most La Quinta's now have complimentary coffee throughout the day. This one did not.

Great rooms, great service. The free breakfast it's always great. The rooms are spacious and always look super clean. Service is great too. Asked for an extra comforter and it only took about ten minutes to get it. My only complaint is the parking. It's a little expensive and it ends at 3pm. $25 a day should pay for the rest of the day. Overall great place especially for PAX South. Perfect walking distance and really cheap.

Front desk staff Trevor and Yvonne made my New Years stay awesome. These 2 employees and they're professionalism will be the the reason that I will frequent this hotel. The suites were clean and large as well. Never knew LaQuinta was squared away like this. San Antonio's hidden gem. Thanks guys.

Our high school band stayed at this location while on its summer trip to conclude our annual band camp. We received outstanding service for the duration of our stay. The staff went out of its way to accommodate our large group, including providing clean guest rooms and a great meeting room. Everyone was very helpful and friendly to all of our students and parents.

I have been coming to this girl for many years and keep returning. Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was clean and in good shape. The hotel is pet friendly. That was a big plus for us! We will certainly come back. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great price and a great location. I, and several friends, have stayed at this hotel while attending San Japan and we absolutely love it. It's in close proximity to the convention center, and the river walk, without being so close that you get a bunch of rowdy people. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was about average, but it's enjoyed anyway. I will definitely be coming back to this hotel in the future!

Nice clean property with a bar and restaurant for dinner. Room has a microwave and small fridge with 32" LCD. No safe in rooms! Beds are comfortable and pillows are average. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Stay here anytime we can. Easy 5 minute walk to mall across the street. Easy 12 minute walk to river walk. Clean, quiet and attractive place to stay. Friendly staff. Valet parking. Courteous and friendly valet workers.

Amazing location right next to the River walk. The staff was great. Room was modern, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Highly recommended and a great value.

We stayed here for a few days while we attended an event and this hotel was beautiful. The rooms where great and they have a wonderful breakfast. It's a quick walk to just about everything fun also. I would certainly stay here again.

Location was perfect and can't beat the price. The hotel and room was very clean and staff is very friendly. Only thing I didn't like was the parking fee. I would highly recommend it.

Great place to stay. Pet friendly. Support staff extremely friendly & helpful. Pool with hot tub, guest laundry, very nice rooms. If I have one complaint it's the cost of parking. I would definitely stay at another La Quinta, but this one is a winner.

Wow it is truly hard to find good help these days. Came to this La Quinta for a rather important meeting and was told I could not park to meet with a customer of the La Quinta. The person that I was meeting is staying at this hotel and has already paid probably around $200 to stay at the hotel and hear they're telling me they won't let me park for 30 minutes. After being disrespected by "Aaron" who claimed to be the manager I was then told by the front desk clerk that they would let me go ahead and park for free to have my meeting. She gave me a ticket and I drove out to park in the parking lot when I stopped by the booth to hand in the ticket he said it be $25. This obviously aggravated me greatly so I went back and talked to the Aaron guy and he not only didn't help me he went on to insult me, told me I was being "irritating" and then refused to give me his managers information so I can file a complaint on him. He stated it was company "policy. " I am truly bewildered by how horrible Aaron's customer service was and the fact that they called him a supervisor. Furthermore, I advise anybody who's going to come down here to stay by the Riverwalk in San Antonio to pick a good hotel. This La Quinta is not a good hotel. I will be following up with this issue and I will get Aaron's managers information, one way or another.

Really nice place to stay. Price was really good and staff was very friendly. The breakfast was extremely delicious, had plenty of sitting area and everything was endless. Room was very clean and ready for immediate use. My only complaint is parking, which is understandable due to their location. They want it for hotel guests, not people trying to walk down to the Riverwalk just a block away. All in all, I'd stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

It has very good location near River walk from Alamodome in order to very good places. The hotel has very good breakfast very good and comfortable rooms but in the bathroom was missing soap, shampoo, toilet paper coming into my room and I saw that there were many things missing for personal use and I had to look for the housekeeping workers to ask her and if she very friendly I gave what I needed and the next day I did not put anything to make my coffee and and my husband did not let me ask but if I would go to the same hotel again as I rest to handle.

Very clean and great service. Great food but no bacon. I am a bacon fan. Please note… There is a 301 trolley that runs to the Alamo, to the market square, right in front of the Denny's. I myself have trouble walking too far due to a leg injury. The trolley pickups and brings you back to Denny's. What a leg and time saver.

The check in process was a nightmare. Was with thousands of people and they weren't ready at all. We weren't allowed to check in when we arrived and then after we were allowed to, they didn't have the keys made or organized and it took hours to find all the keys for our group of 50. I know all of the other groups went through much of the same thing. The breakfast was good though!

I can only rate the renting of an area for registering marathon competitors. Staff was helpful and patient with us during the registration chaos, for that I thank you. The race was a success!

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. The staff is very rude — from the Valets to the front desk staff. I will not be back. We paid a tremendous amount to stay here for a suite and was treated like crap. Guests with regular rooms were treated way better than guests actually spending a good amount of money here. Sadly because of the location they will keep getting customers. But if I had known what I know now… I would spend the little extra cash to stay in a much better place. Never again will I stay in a La Quinta ever again.

Highly recommend, cost a bit more but you are in walking distance from everything! The highway if right there but not noisy at all. The Alamo, tower of the Americas, believe it or not, convention center, shopping, walking, the river walk …! All right there for your convenience, the most amazing stay at any hotel, thank you! Will be back soon!

On a quiet side street yet two blocks from the Alamo and major shopping — — this is where we put up New York and international opera stars and crew and their puppies and have reunions for international schools. Obviously it's close to the Tobin Center for the performing arts.

Very modern and clean. Staff a friendly. Minus one star for the parking not included in the rate ($21/night) and the coffee being terrible.

The staff are pleasant and helpful. The hotel is beautiful. The room is nice but we could use more than one trash can and the beds could be softer. We also could use more shampoo. The breakfast buffet is nice and the dining area is pretty. We were able to get into our room early which was much appreciated. The location is excellent, near everything.

Economic and comfortable. Disadvantage: the firm is served in plastic dishes… is Not friendly with the environment.

The hotel is very well located since the river passes by a street away which can be reached through the mall, is also near tower of the americas, to the street through the convention center.

But in the web says riverwalk and not not this on the river I call and they told me that if that is why the grip and left me when beo that noera next to the river and apart charge the parquiadero of the self that ea abuse the senorita that I attended was very dwspota and sharp and not xontesto my questions I just said a time was not what I expected.

The lobby of this hotel is gorgeous! Parking at the entrance can get very crowded, but hotel parking is handy and safe. Check in was very easy, and the people were great. The room was small but very nicely decorated. The walls are kind of thin. I could hear people all night long night, in the hallway and other rooms, including the machines in the laundry room. The amenities are really nice, though, and breakfast was generous. All things considered, would I stay here again? Yes, I would.

Literally the worst experience at a hotel we checked into our room and there were fleas jumping all over us off the floor and the bed was covered in them my eight month old son had bites on his face and body then they did not apologize and gave us another room and gave us a small bottle of OFF mosquito spray for free from the front desk the free breakfast was lacking and it was swamped with rude people making it almost impossible to get anything… The fleas came from the guests before who had dogs and all types of dogs are allowed here I saw two very large breed dogs with long hair the hotel should make sure to double check the rooms for infestation.

Waiting to check in was a little long. There were 3 people at he front desk but only one was attending to the guests. We checked in and when we got to the room it did not have the pull out sofa like we were told. I called the front desk and they said that they did not have any other rooms available. They offered a roll away bed. I returned to the room 8 hours later and still no roll away. I had to call 5 different times to get it. They delivered it with no pillows. We had to move furniture around in order for it to fit. They missed my wake up call. I literally had to go to front desk to ask for towels pillows and an additional blanket. The breakfast area was packed and we went into the lounge for a table it was dark so pulled back the curtains for light and I was snapped at by an employee to put the curtains the way they were… VERY RUDE! Pets everywhere and urine on the carpets and floor from the pets!

Great clean place to stay. Right on river walk. The room was spacious and very clean. We also had 2 cats with us, which was not an issue at all for the hotel. The service was great and cheerful even at 1a. M. When I went to buy some water at the front desk.

The rooms are all really nice. It's very close to the river walk and you can walk to the tower of the Americas from it. Very nice staff. Lovely breakfast buffet and pool and don't even get me started on the valet services. 10/10

Worst experience I've ever had with a hotel. I was there on a BUSNIESS TRIP, all expenses were to be billed to my company. Upon check-in, the hotel erroneously charged my personal credit card that I supplied strictly for incidentals. I confirmed and RE-confirmed that they weren't going to charge my card, and before I could get upstairs to the room my email alert went off. Once the authorization was completed, it couldn't be reversed, so I had to wait until the following day for it fall off and allow me to use my available funds. They were nonchalant and unapologetic about the error they made. To top it off the room door would stick, you had to forcefully push it open with both hands and my full body. This by far was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. The ONLY polite employee I experienced was the concierge. Don't have any business meetings here. I was also personally billed for parking. Unbelievable.

Clean and well decorated rooms. Nice staff. Free breakfast. Wifi is free, but the network is unsecured. Big detractor in my book.

The ADA Room was awful. The shower did not drain. Walked in and there was water standing about 1 inch almost to the door. La Quinta did change our room to 2 double beds. It was much nicer. Loved the free breakfast.

This place was great not too much front desk but the valet drivers especially the supervisor Aaron was amazing! He gave us very good local options instead of tourist spots. He was very polite, in a wonderfull mood, And always willing to help. Aaron made my stay better than any Marriott or Hyatt I've ever been too so will stay here any time I come to San Antonio in the future.

Google wouldn't let me put more than 5 stars, but I would if I could. I travel a lot for business, and typically I stay at Sheraton or Marriott for conventions. This hotel was more accommodating, courteous, and (most importantly) comfortable than any I've stayed at in my last 20 trips! I was absolutely blown away. Don't let the low cost fool you, this place is perfect.

This location is absolutely amazing! It's a walk away from everything! The hotel is gorgeous, and the staff is wonderful! The only issue was with the guy at the parking booth, he was mean. Other than that, it was wonderful! I had a wonderful time with my spouse.

Great speedy service, which was impressive considering the influx of guests for the PAX south convention. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast again was impressive considering the number of people. A great experience and a hotel I would for sure recommend again.

The only reason why I gave 3 stars rather than 4 or 5 is due to the laundry room, specifically the condition of the washers and dryers. There's only 3 of each for the entire 15 story hotel, one washer is out of order, the other 2 rinse with extremely hot water, so I could not launder most of my clothing. One dryer's vent is not connected, 2 dryers have remnants of melted crayons and markers in lint trap. It costs $1.50 each, and I had to wash my jeans and towels twice due to the short wash time, and hot water rinse did not rinse well. I checked the water valves to make sure both cold and hot were open, they were. This La Quinta is more upscale than others, so I'm surprised at the laundry. Otherwise, this La Quinta is very clean, remodeled, great location.

Rooms were clean and modern, service was good. Was there for Rock and Roll SA Marathon, despite 75% of the hotel being there for that, they didn't have breakfast set up or even coffee available without us asking. Now all of our faults, because we didn't check the time breakfast started I suppose, but maybe a good suggestion for next year? Parking was also kind of a mess, they charge you 25/night for self parking. Other hotels in the area may be more, but they're right on the Riverwalk AND usually have free parking.

If you are looking for quality service, it isn't here. There evidently is not a concierge service at this location or maybe any La Quinta. Carla, who answered the hotel phone didn't even know what a concierge was. I was finally, rerouted to the sales department after talking to reservations and then someone else. According to the sales department they do not have room service and "the bar doesn't open until 5pm. " That was not the question! We just wanted to send up strawberries for my sweet in-laws for their 54th wedding Anniversary. So extremely disappointed but I guess I can't really complain, as it was a free gift certificate that was won. We wanted to bless our folks with a simple gesture of strawberries but alas there is no room service.

The place is well located, we'll maintained. And the breakfast is great and included. My only major issue is the weak Internet speed. I've tried multiple devices and I have consistently gained little Internet access. I believe if they invest more in Wi-Fi access points, it could help a lot.

Really good Hotel recently renovated. Great rooms and excellent service. Breakfast is really good for the price you pay per night. Excellent location you can walk to the alamo and the river walk. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room at the other side of the highway. Free Wi-Fi. Cons: have to pay for parking.

Had a great experience at this hotel loved the staff! the front desk girls were pretty… well some the girls name elva and Carla they were both very helpful the only thing that wasn't quite pleasant was that guests have to pay for parking.

Toilet clogged all 3 days, without ANY toilet paper placed in it. Even clogged from liquid only. We waited over 12 hours for some one to show. Nope. Had to call a 3rd time. Continued to clog every subsequent use Parking attendant that "assisted" us the first day was utterly incompetent, refused to let us park in 2 actual parking spots even though we paid for 2 and left without so much as saying a thing when he got frustrated at trying to force us to back a large trailer into a nonsense spot when he could just have let us pull through any of the many open double spots. When we brought all this to their attention they seemed uninterested at best. No compensation, not so much as a discount on our $55 per day parking. Didn't bother to mention the multiple blood stains on the beds since they didn't seem to care much about the first two issues. Other staff was curtious.

I am writing this at a time when I should be having the breakfast downstairs, but they decided to close it down early… without notice. Currently, they are spending a few thousand dollars on framed pictures that are being put up around the hotel. That money would be better spent on adequate staff and a WORKING business center! One computer does not work at all. The other is so painfully slow, I wanted to throw it into the pool multiple times. Don't get me started on the stray long hairs that were constantly being left in the bathroom by the staff and the toilet that needs repair. San Antonio is near the BOTTOM of my list of recommended cities. More than half of the taxi drivers took the long route to up the fees. To make it worse, Uber has been BANNED in the city to pander to these scam artists. If you are not near a hotel or conference area, a taxi is nearly impossible to find. They say to download an app, but every taxi company in every city has its own app. Why should I download taxi apps in every city that I visit AND give them my credit card information? Would you give a rip-off company your credit card number?

Stayed there last summer. No problem, nice room. Real close to the mall very convenient.

Worst service ever! It started off checking in. They didn’t explain anything. The room was dirty and smelly. Bathroom had small hairs everywhere, shower was not cleaned properly. The AC did not work. Made them change my room because of the heat, and they did not offer to help me move (at 11:30pm). Worst service ever! Do not book at this hotel… waste of money.

Room was very nice. Seems like it was just remodeled. The only complaint I have is that we are in the middle of downtown San Antonio and the internet was very lacking. Could barley pull up a web browser and could not get my business done. Went to ask about the internet and was told that it was my computer's fault. I have been using this laptop for quite sometime with no problems what so ever. I know for a fact that it is not my computer.

They gave away our rooms that we booked month's in advance.

The hotel is very nice for starters. Never stayed in a la quinta with more than 3 floors. Check in was frustrating to find out that a discounted rate wouldn't be applied to our $55 parking because we had a trailer. Natasha the check girl had a smart mouth which got on my nerves rather quickly. Our cooler was stolen out of the bed of our truck that was parked smack dab in the middle of the parking lot. When we found it next to a sleeping bum I notified who I assumed was the Valet supervisor named Raul about finding our stolen cooler and he seemed he couldn't care less and didnt think the maintenance people had the time to bring us a water hose so we could wash out said cooler. Took an hour for housekeeping to come to room and change bedding after guys left and others took place in same room. Room wouldnt be cleaned some days. In conclusion I've stayed at regular La Quinta's with better service.

Not a good place to stay if you want to get any sleep. The guests next to our room blasted music so loud along with all the loud talking we didn't get any sleep. We complained three times and security even went to room but that did no good. The staff said there was nothing they could do about it. So it is OK to be as loud as you want and disturb all the guests you want just don't do any damage to room and hotel staff is fine with it. We demanded money back but said they could not do that either. Beware! We should have payed attention to they rating.

We stayed here for a Volleyball tournament Jan 18-20, 2014. My room was broken into by someone who apparently had a key. All of our electronics were stolen but the room was NOT torn up at all. I was out of my room for about 2 hours. I came back door open nothing out of place at all. The person who did it worked for this hotel. I know exactly who it was. We contacted LaQuinta's Risk Management and they said oh well sorry but apparently you left the door open. I was the last person to leave the room I know the doors was closed becasue I checked it since we had had so much trouble getting the door opened. They have no CAMERA's on the floors. Don't say here. Spoke to Lisa Wycoff and her reply to this entire mess was we compted your room for the stay. NEVER us LaQuinta if this is how they value their customers.

It was great. Loved the location and price. Very comfy staff was friendly. Will definitely stay here in the future.
