Our stay was wonderful. The staff is so kind and helpful. We were there for my sons Air Force BMT graduation and they took such great care of us including having maps, information about places to eat, and hosted a reception in the lobby for the Airman and their families. I felt so welcomed and comfortable there.

Great staff service, beautiful/clean hotel, comfortable beds, 1 mile from Lackland AFB. Close to all major highways. Ask for AF graduation rate. Good variety of hot/cold breakfast items. Gave AF guests and thier Airman nice luncheon of tea sandwiches, fruit cups, cupcakes, cookies, ice tea/lemonade which quite thoughtful! Not pet friendly.

This hotel is well maintained. Beds were most comfortable, and our rooms very clean. Easy to drive to Lackland AFB which was the purpose of our trip (for a graduation). Staff is most accommodating and friendly. Breakfast ample and comes with room. I would definitely stay here again. The surrounding area does have some building going on (bridge and road work), but the hotel is like an oasis amidst it all.

Check in very smooth, lots of information provided regarding activities we would be attending at Lackland AFB, breakfast very good & fresh served early to enable us to get to base on time, staff very knowledgeable about base activities. Stayed in a suite which was great to keep our family members together. Highly recommend this hotel — very clean, great amenities.

Great hotel close to Lackland air force base. (I think about a mile) and 20 minutes to downtown. It's not a luxury hotel but staff go out of their way to assist in any way they can to make the graduation experience great. Breakfast is served early on Thursday and Friday to accommodate the early required arrival. It's basic but does the trick. They also have a welcome graduate lunch on Friday. Used the pool, hot tub and exercise room — was not crowded at all and clean. Has all of the basics, is an inexpensive stay and pretty much quite. Only problem we had was one night could hear those above us walking around but I think it was kids running around.

I don't know why and read negative reviews If the employee service, housekeeping to the room the comfort of the beds and everything is excellent and you can't stay the breakfast that is on another level. Thanks to Maria for such an excellent breakfast. Very grateful and as soon as I get back to Texas take it for sure here I'll stay.

I wasn't going to write a review but changed my mind. First when we got there (4/11) there were 2 clerks waiting on 1 customer for at least 20 mins. Second, room was nice but had to ask for towels a couple of times. Phone did not work. And to top it off when I got my credit card statement, I was billed twice. The distance to the air force base was the saving grace.

For a fairly new hotel it is kept up with pretty good. Cleanliness is not really an issue however it is already showing signs of wear. Since it is so close to the Air Force Base it does get a lot of use. Breakfast had a good variety and plenty of serving time. They have a small Necessities selection and snacks. The gym is fairly small and the pool is indoors but was kept good.

Nice hotel, was clean, slightly worn. Beds were comfy, but blankets were thin. Staff was very friendly & knowledgeable about BMT times, directions, etc. Was conveniently located, but hard to get into due to road construction. Area seemed safe. Breakfast was standard fare, but you should get down there early or you may have a wait.

My wife and I came to San Antonio for our daughter's air force graduation and decided to have a vacation as well. We choose this hotel because of the location and the full kitchen that is available in a few of the rooms. We are staying in room 220. The room is a seriously great bargain. King size bed, living room area, nice sized full kitchen and a ok sized bathroom. The rooms cleanliness was just fine. This is not a 5 star hotel but it is a very nice maintained, and adequately clean hotel with very friendly staff. The wife and I are super happy we gave Best Western Plus a try.

We stayed here while visiting San Antonio for an Air Force graduation. Very conveniently located to the base and necessary shopping/restaurants. Clean comfortable room. Parking was plentiful. The staff was VERY accommodating and helpful. Fitness room was limited but functional. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel. The rooms are large, and are kept up nicely. For an economical hotel this one is pretty good. It's very close to the AFB.

I rate this hotel a 4 star instead of 5 only because of the cleaning people who were so disappointing. My husband walked around room with his shoes because he said the floor or carpet was dirty. Cleaning people removed our towels but did not replace. I had to go downstairs to get towels because the phones in the room did not work. Trash was left in garbage cans in our room and I had to take to garbage can down hallway because to-go food boxes were overflowing our. Trash can. However, I highly recommend this hotel — the front desk and other staff were amazing! Hotel also provided earlier breakfast time on Thursdays and Fridays for graduation families in addition to maps and much needed information sheets for graduation. Hoping this review will help management straighten out the cleaning problem. Thank goodness this did not dampen our exhilaration from our granddaughter's basic training graduation in the Air Force!

I stayed at best western plus (lackland) They have free breakfast every day and start at like 5 in the morning so you can actually eat a hot meal before you head to the ceremonies… some hotels have free breakfast but the times start too late Also re: breakfast you can make your own Belgian waffles in the shape of Texas … takes 2 and a half min and they are the best waffles I’ve had in forever. Everyday they also have eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, ho…t oatmeal, coffee, hot cocoa, hot tea, biscuits and gravy, orange juice and all were very fresh and completely free. The rooms were nice and well kept. Of course house keeping everyday.
We had enough room to sleep 4 people comfortably. In our room was a mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, hair dryer, plasma TV and a window with a view of my car!
They have free Wi-Fi and free parking.
An indoor pool, indoor hot tub and a computer room for your use. The employees were all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the air Force events. They even gave me a map with directions how to get on base without having to get on the highways.
The hotel was only 3 miles away & nearest to the gate that I would say is the main gate in and out. Everyday housekeeping came and cleaned and out stay was absolutely enjoyable.
As I drove to the base I don’t recall passing any other hotels so I would venture to say I think this hotel is the closest.

Was there for both our Son’s graduations from Lackland AFB nice hotel nice employees. And nice and close to base.

This is the friendliest hotel I have been in. These guys acted as if they knew me, all the staff would say hello, and look at you, unlike most… they look down and walk right past you. They have a nice pool, good breakfast, comfy beds. Book you next stay here, you will be glad you did.

Very convenient to the Valley High gate. Very comfortable suites with kitchens. Pool and fitness center on the main floor. The mid tier of Best Western brands. Hot breakfast included. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Only negative is the pull out sofa not very comfortable — better to just sleep on it as a sofa. Would stay again.

Wonderful stay! Great location for Lackland AF Base visits or graduations. I would recommend this hotels. The suite with the full kitchen is roomy and is accommodating for a family.

We stayed for three nights to attend our Air Force Graduate graduation ceremonies. We checked in and the place smelled moldy as if a lot of water had penetrated the walls. Our room when we got there was wide open with no one around. Not sure if video cameras were set up in or around the room. The shower head was opposite of the glass door which mean you had to enter the shower completely to turn it on. The room had an odor that you noticed was there but bearable. The access doors on each side of the building on the first floor remained unlock where anyone could enter and in these days of terrorism, that's not a good thing. Twice in three days we went out and came back with our room door unsecured with no one around. We were billed our complete bill before we stepped one foot into our unsecured room. Never in 100 years will I subject my wife this again. We stayed only because most of the other hotels were booked with thousands of visitors for the graduation.

Best place to stay if you are Military family or have students that attend St Mary's University. Staff was friendly and area was safe. My daughter attends St Mary's University and we will definitely visit this hotel again. We also enjoyed the breakfast and other visitors from out of state. We are from Illinois and we enjoyed out stay in Texas!

Quiet and cozy place. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is buffet, the menu was varied and was very good. I chose this hotel because its pool was indoors as I went in cold season. It also has a Jacuzzi. Overall everything was fine. I recommend it.

If and when you visit the area of Lackland AFB in Texas, this BW is the only place to consider staying. It is a very well appointed property with a great service minded staff. It is close to the base and there are eateries all around the area if needed. Super hotel. Tom Underwood.

Great stay. Supportive, caring staff. Awesome Hotel Shuttle! Super convenient. The Hotel is close to the AFB so I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. Free breakfast, comfortable beds, sound proof walls. The Internet was extremely weak. My room had an odor, I think it may have been due to the ac. Not sure. The Housekeeper cleaned my bathroom & provided fresh towels every night. Made my bed but didn’t change the sheets. I found that strange. There was a spot on one of my sheets. The room was very spacious & I would stay again. If you run into any issues just notify Front Desk! They were super helpful!

Excellent staff. Clean rooms. Breakfast early in the morning for the families going to graduation at Lackland Air Force Base. I would highly recommend this Hotel to the graduating families coming every week to see their Airman! And best of all, only 3 miles from the base. Doesn't get much better then that!

The hotel itself is very nice but the service is the worst… I would not recommend anyone to stay there. We had made a reservation and specifically asked if a room would be available & ready when we arrived even if check-in was at 3. Well they reassured that yes a room would be ready but in reality when we arrived there was a couple in the lobby who had arrived before us & were waiting for their room for over 2hrs. The lady waiting was diabetic & hadn't eaten anything and missed part of her family reunion. We on the other hand I had my baby asleep in the car and had to get ready for a celebration. We had to wait for an hour & a half just driving around. The couple before us asked if we were getting a discount and the front desk just said the manager was out until Wed and that it was up to the head housekeeper. My problem was that they didn't seem to consider our situations and they seemed like they didn't care pretty much saying that's y'all problem not ours. I can guarantee that I won't be staying there because since I arrived until I checked out I didn't feel like they care for keeping business. If you're planning or considering this hotel look for another place to stay that value customers and their business. Dear owner response, It's a little too late for your response and I won't be giving another opportunity to stay at this hotel and all that is stated in the long response won't change my mind.

This hotel is a great one to stay at if your going to graduation at Lackland, AFB. The hotel is clean and extremely easy to get to and from the base. The breakfast is awesome. It's a full blown deal. Waffles, eggs, sausages, fruit, bacon, cereal, bagels, etc. The Texas shaped waffles rocked. Highly recommend.

The employees at this hotel are wonderful! Every employee we encountered greeted us with a big smile and a positive attitude. The breakfast was great and the cleanliness of the hotel was top notch. I will definitely recommend Best Western Crooked Trail to others traveling to San Antonio. Thank you for helping make our vacation an excellent one!

If you need quick safe access to Lackland AFB this is the place to go. The room was very spacious and very clean. The pool and jacuzzi was very nice but it would have been nice if they stocked the pool with towels instead of having to go to the front desk for them. The free breakfast was enough to get you ready for your day. The front desk help was very receptive and helpful. Finally and most important you felt safe in the hotel and they had a security car going around the hotel when I was there which made you feel safe with your car.

Wonderful staff! Clean updated hotel! Great breakfast! Spacious clean room! Kids loved the indoor pool! Less than 2 mile from the AFB!

The rooms are very clean and nice. My complaints are minor inconveniences. The showers are large but have only a soap holder so razor, shampoo, conditioner, etc have to sit on the floor. There also isn't a nearby rack to hang towels on. The TV always turns on to the same channel and is very very loud. (It resets each time) The bed has multiple pillows which are wonderful for building a cozy nest. The breakfast offers multiple options from cereal to eggs and bacon. It would be nice if they would leave the house and fruit out all of the time though.

We came for our middle son's basic training graduation and it was so wonderful to be so close to everything. The pool and hot tub was a welcoming place after a long day walking. Also, the waffles were delicious at breakfast. We were very happy!

Yes, it was a nice clean hotel, but when you make reservations three months prior you expect to get what you reserve. Well nope we didn't they put us in a in a single king suite when I reserved a double queen room. Then when we walked into the room it was 58. I could get warm to go to sleep. We will never stay there again. He will go farther down 90 and stay in Hondo.

Our son graduated from Air Force boot camp at Lackland AFB last week. The wonderful employees at Best Western Plus Lackland were extremely helpful making our visit easier by answering our many questions. The ladies at the desk were ready with maps, timelines, and offering breakfast an hour earlier on both Thursday and Friday so that we could attend the 7am parent meeting on the base. Breakfast was excellent offering many choices. The dining area had a number of tables with space for many to eat. The business center was quiet, clean and convenient allowing us to check some business issues we were juggling and print our boarding passes. We appreciated the hot chocolate and coffee always available. I recommend other parents arriving in San Antonio to celebrate their son or daughter's boot camp graduation from Lackland to select this hotel. Everyone was nice. All were helpful. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated and the distance from Lackland was extremely convenient allowing us to drive back and forth to the base in just a few minutes. This hotel is an excellent choice.

I could not have chosen a better hotel to stay at during the Air Force Graduation. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. They all went out of their way to make my experience there great. The rooms are very clean, the pool area and fitness center were all clean and well kept while I was there. The bar tender kept the bar very clean and made some of the best drinks that I had throughout the town. I can't say thank you enough to the staff for making my experience so great. Best hotel experience by far.

The staff at Best Western Plus near Lackland Air Force Base especially Andrea were so amazing. When setting my reservations on the phone and even more so in person Andrea was such a gem and so very, very helpful. We lost an item and she searched for it for several days and kept us informed. She finally found it and will be mailing it back to us. She was extremely helpful giving directions and making suggestions of special attractions. So polite, kind and made our stay at Best Western so relaxing and as if we were with family. This gal stood out for sure! The rooms were clean, beautiful and Andrea truly cared that we were taken care of! We surely will recommend this place to other AF families! Thank you Best Western and Thank you so much Andrea!

I have stayed in many, many hotels over the years. Many of which, were way more expensive and considered higher-end. This hotel was by far the best I have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect. Staff was the best and everything was so, so clean. The food was amazing. We'd recommend this to anyone, and we didn't wanna leave. :-)

Thank you for the very good accommodations. The room was clean and neat and the breakfast was very good. Location was great for the activities Lackland Air Base. If we are ever down that way again we would chose this for our stay. Also very helpful with info for the area and the basic graduation we were there for. Thank you again.

Surprisingly swanky and nice for a best Western property. It was a welcomed pleasant surprise. Hot breakfast including waffle makers.

My standard room was not avaliable so Best western upgraded me at no additional cost to the Presidential suite. Free breakfast in the morning and great hospitality.

Patty the front desk clerk saved our life. We had to get out of our other hotel which was a dump and she found us a very clean and comfortable room. The place was awesome as was the staff. Will definitely stay there again when in San Antonio. One of the best Best Westerns I have ever stayed in.

Clean rooms! They look just like the pictures! Clean sheets as if I washed them myself. Breakfast area had plenty of food to choose from and very pleasant to eat at. Every one having a bite to eat were enjoying themselves. I was surprised in person that the room and hotel seriously looked exactly liked the photos. Stay here! I know I definitely will again! Oh! … The only set back was the glass shower didn't seem long enough. I thought I was going to soak the floor with water but it turned out just fine.

Best Western Plus Atrea Hotel is wonderful! Stayed for our son's BMT Graduation. Drove from NY got in close to 11pm, Becky made sure that the room was held for late check in. The front desk, Patsy was great. Minutes away from Lackland Air Force Base, and seconds from the interstate… The room is beautiful and very clean! Got a chance to meet, Belinda from housekeeping, she is AWESOME! We would recommend this hotel to everyone! Thank you for the great hospitality!

This is a great place to stay for BMT graduation! The facilities are very nice and modern, the rooms were clean, no smells, comfortable beds, and nice wait staff. The breakfast is awesome and they ensure everything is fresh and hot. I would highly recommend staying here!
