Ericka Becerra, the front desk clerk, was so friendly and helpful! The room was awesome! Great amenities. They even have an outdoor grill you can use!

I've stayed at this location more than once, mostly because it was convenient, but after this last trip, you'll never see my walk inside this place again. For starters, it's not your cleanest hotel, but it's manageable — in other words, you get what you pay for. Both times I stayed here, I dealt with noisy neighbors and loud halls that woke me and my son up in the early hours of the morning. Nothing was done when a complaint was made to the front desk. But, as of my last visit, I had made a reservation a week in advance. When I arrived, the woman at the front desk informed me that my confirmation code was invalid and she had no reservation in my name. I had the email right in front of me, and she refused to assist me. She stated that I needed to contact their corporate office because there was nothing more she could do. I decided that wasn't proper customer service and stayed at the Holiday Inn instead — which was a MUCH NICER stay. In other words, if you want a subpar room, loud halls and neighbors, and terrible customer service, this is the place to stay.

The location is great for us; the staff has been fairly friendly and very helpful. I'm not thrilled with the cleanliness of the rooms though, our feet are black from the carpet and our toilet was not completely clean (thankfully I had Clorox wipes with me). I don't think I would stay here again.

This has been the most horrible hotel experience. I travel as an entertainer and business man, and any good business man knows that it's more than just how a place looks. It's like an awful smell that's covered by a cheap spray product. First, the hotel booked us incorrectly and charged hundreds of dollars to my bank account, with an extremely rude staff member at the front desk making the mistake. I could have dealt with this, as the money would be refunded within a week; but regretfully, there's more. Upon arrival, there was this awful assistant manager at the front desk (a female), who treated my mother (an old lady) like an idiot, as if she was bothering her, and acted very degrading toward her overall. Every time that we tried to receive some sort of good customer service by asking "why" basically, it was all about her. She would repeatedly state "We're independently owned! Go ahead, contact the GM, I know the owners! I don't apologize, put yourself in my shoes" I tried to reason with her, but the reasoning was only met with more threats such as "How big are your dogs!? You know I could kick you out!? " — As if making a complaint and asking to speak to her GM is grounds to eject a family with dogs from a hotel in the middle of Texas. I highly recommend that the owners either never promote, lower her position, or possibly reconsider her status as an employee.

Very clean and comfortable. If we had time we would have stayed more nights. Staff really nice.

The rooms are super nice and super clean. The staff is extremely nice. I’m from Tulsa and We actually came to Amarillo as an emergency due to a bad blow out. I can not say enough about how well we were treated and how nice the front desk was! I wish there were more stars because this hotel deserves more than five!

The room was clean and spacious. They are pet friendly, but charge a pet deposit of 35 dollars for IHG members.

This place would probably get two stars. I had to be transferred twice out of the room because it was not clean. Please remember they don't clean everyday I was there three nights and my trash was never emptied and you have to request towels. They have a laundry service which was okay and they have a fitness room and a computer room with a printer which was good. They also have a little convenience store if you need soda snacks and things at a reasonable price.

We've been coming to Candlewood Suites with my daughter Olga for hospital visits Candlewood Suites has gone above and beyond to make our stays there comfortable is very clean and very very nice people and owners we love you and we thank you Candlewood Suites for everything and my daughter does too she has a heart condition wish you was born with she is anatomically unique thank you Jesus.

Room is nice and big, but that only takes you so far. It STINKS! Smells like an ashtray in here.

Great place to stay rooms are really clean and well laid out. The front desk staff is always helpful.

Conveniently located for passing through on our way further south. Rooms are always clean and comfortable and the staff is always friendly and welcoming, even when we arrive at 2am.

Very cool! Good clean beds and linens, nice kitchenette in our room. Clean shower … very kind people to talk to. No breakfast but I guess I knew so it wasn’t a big deal!

Easy location. Great place if you don't want or need daily cleaning. Would be fine stars but it seemed a little easy to hear the rooms around you.

The employee running the front desk was rude and unknowledgeable, and directly liked to my face. Had to call the manager to check us into The hotel, while the room was clean and organized the AC unit was so loud I had to either sweat to death or not sleep.

I checked into this hotel June 4th and checked out June 22nd. They billed me from June 4th to July 1st. I’ve been fighting with this hotel for weeks trying to get a partial refund. The general manager is never available and has yet to resolve the issue. I have offered the receipt from when I checked out and I still can’t get a partial refund. I’ve called IHG and my credit card company. Resolution of this issue should have been as easy as me emailing the receipt to the general manager and her crediting my card. I’ve stayed at many Candlewoods and the Amarillo Candlewood is easily the worst. My floors were filthy. I didn’t have an ice maker or a can opener. Plus, I checked in on a Sunday and didn’t receive maid service until the next Thursday. I’d recommend that you **avoid** this hotel. The management of this hotel is abysmal. Edit: Resolution happened today 8/1/2017. My credit card, the IHG Mastercard, called to let me know they were voiding all of the extra charges. They'd also be served to fire the GM of this hotel. ***avoid this hotel.

So my dad called in-advance for a room and we were booked then we got there and were told we accidentally were double booked. The place only had 2 luggage carriers for the whole building so my family had to carry all their luggage on their own and then we got to the door and the card wouldn't open it. Another person came up behind us and it didnt work for him either. We tried everything to get the door to open until he decided to shake the door to get their attention (only one person running the place). They opened the door and rudely said "You have to open th door when the red light beeps. There's no green light. " We had to carry all our bags up to the top (4th floor) and when we got to our room the card wouldn't work. We kept at it until the door opened! Because the person who had the room was awoken and angry. We had to carry everything back downstairs to tell them they double double booked us. The girl who was working there told us "Oh, it's not my fault really! The guy who was working here before me did most the reservations and now I'm like what did he do? " She went on about how it was his fault even though she gave us that room then she said they only had one room free now and it was a king suite… With only one bed. So me and my brother (both pretty grown) had to sleep together on a thin, springy, fold-out couch. Again on the top floor. And finally in the room, the walls were so thin we could hear people in the rooms beside us.

Our stay at this hotel was horrible! I can't believe they are even part of IHG family! When we checked into our room we were in there for about 30mins when we realized there was little red fire ants in our bathroom then I saw some in the kitchen. Then as I was about to tuck in my daughter for bed I pulled the sheets back and saw 3 ants crawling in the bed! We called the front desk to change our rooms and they were very quick and apologetic about it. Oh and I forgot to mention also in the room where the fire ants were some of our "clean" bathroom towels were very dirty! Once we got to our second room, good news was there was no fire ants in there but our "clean" bed sheets had some stains on them as did our shower curtain and the bathroom door. If we ever stop in Amarillo Texas this is a hotel that we will NEVER stay at again. So I suggest you look elsewhere for your stay.

Easy in and out. Vehicles with trailers can park across the street at the sister property. Drive ways are a little steep.

I simply found it to be a very professional hotel. The customer repressive at the front desk (DeDe) was very professional and fun to be around.

Room smelled terrible until ac had run for a few hours. Understandable, but maybe just run it before the guests get there?

Pretty nice room. Everything was clean. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Nice place to stay. Nicole the night receptionist was wonderful. She was welcoming especially with the stress of a graduation weekend. The room was nicely updated. Cleaning could be stepped up in bathroom. I don't stress because I keep cleaning wipes with me anyway. Complimentary oatmeal packages were just emough.

Nice place to stay. Not the easiest location to get to but it's right off the Interstate. No breakfast but there are places close.

Great location and great price! The wife and I have stayed here every time we travel to Dallas.

They charged us $90 for some towels after my son had a bloody nose. If I had known I would be charged for the towels, I would have bagged them up and brought them home. Never again will a Candlewood get my money (we stay with them quite often).

It has been a great experience. Clean facilities and helpful employees.

It was an awesome room very clean only thing I was afraid of was in the middle of the night they have a little girl sitting at the desk doors wide-open no security other than that was a great experience.

I stayed here with my family on our way to Dallas and it was my first stay with Candlewood suites. Everything about this Hotel was so good, as the rooms are really spaceous with fully loaded Kitchen and the fitness room was really big and had a free washer dryer for guests. My family really enjoyed this stay and we will stay in Candlewood everytime passby Amarillo as it makes you feel at home.

I usually stay here when I come into town but this place is gone downhill fast! The shower didn't work then the door got stuck and I was stuck in the bathroom for a while they acted like it was nothing. Then they asked if I could pay them early because they had some audit problem, needless to say when it came to check out they were really rude and I have never been treated so horribly in my life. I will never return to this place again! Come here with caution. There is a Staybridge right across the street seems to be the best bet!

The entire staff was great I didn't have any problems and they took very good care of us! I will definitely be staying there if I ever need visit amarillo texas again!
