The room was clean and the desk clerk very helpful. Location near a Walmart really helped when we realized we had left our dog’s bedding at our nephew’s house. Rate was great. And it was comforting to have a place we could stay on our way home with our “rescue”dog.

I liked the lady at the front desk. Very nice, friendly and helpful. Awesome huge updated flat screen. Room wasn't the cleanest, there was thick dust behind the area where they put the towels but most people wouldn't look behind. My top bedspread was heavily stained, and when I got out of the shower and walk on the floor my feet would get really sticky and I'm not sure why. Over all I'd stay again just for the good customer service from the front desk lady and the big screen.

So this is the 3rd Motel 6 and stay in one Motel 6. Again slight change in opinion as this too was ok. Room was nice but again buildings from the outside must be more inviting. Not sure why people don't pay attention to details when they are in business and mostly when they are hosts to others. My stay here was short and I like my room for the purpose.

I travel a lot for work and have stayed in a ton of Motel 6’s all across the country and this is by far the best one! Staff is nice beds and room was very clean and updated will. Will be staying here again!

The good: The room was mostly clean (except for a disturbing dark stain on the bedspread). The floors are laminate, not carpet. So much cleaner. I wish more hotels would do that. The desk clerk, Patty, was friendly enough at check-in. They accept dogs with no additional fees. The bad: The pool was so filthy it was unusable. It was green, with lots of trash floating in it — unacceptable for July. The building and grounds were also run-down, and littered with trash. The walls were so thin that I heard every noise outside and in nearby rooms. I almost didn't sleep a wink, and my dog was barking when she heard other dogs barking nearby. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. Give this one a pass.

The front desk attendant was very nice & accommodating, Ian. The room started off with a smoke detector that needed a new battery, no big deal, 5 minutes, & offered to switch our room if it sounded again. But, the fridge would not work, the plug between the beds was not attached to the wall. My mother had to plug in the tv. In the morning the coffee pot didn't work. Ian was a pleasure, but if it weren't for the fact that we just drove 10 hours & needed to sleep we wouldn't have stayed. For $70 I expect a room with better amenities. I'm ONLY giving 2 stars for Ian & the fact that we had a small breakfast was available. Thank you Ian!

Last minute decision to stay in Abilene. This place was nice and clean. The beds were new and firm. Ground floor rooms gives you easy access to your vehicle as it is right in front of the room door. Huge tv! Cold a/c. Would definitely stay again.

Large screen smart TV and great water pressure. I've stayed in a lot of motel 6s because I have pets and this is one of the nicest ones. All motel 6s can use a little care on the outside. Maybe some landscaping.

I will never stay here again! First off, there were some shady people staying here. I didn’t feel completely safe. Second the room was a little dirty and smelled like it used to be a smoking room The top blanket and middle blankets were also dirty. I don’t know why they don’t get washed every time. GROSS! Spend an extra $20 to find something better.

I wanted to give this place a better review. But I can't bring myself to do it. The good: awesome price, allows dogs, updated rooms, good air conditioning, a new comfortable matress (we always check for bed bugs) and a Big TV with lots of channels. The bad: thin doors and walls, you hear everything, including road noise (despite requesting and receiving a room far away from the highway). No place for the dogs to potty, except for a very small bit of grass, no bags provided like other hotels that allow dogs, so it was covered in dog poop. The room was very dirty, towels had stains on them. After I showered my feet were dirty from the floor. You could feel the dirt on the floor. I saw nail clipping on the floor and bedside table, there was what appeared to be pubic hair in the shower, the faucet looked like it hasn't been cleaned in months, there was something that resembled blood splattered on the wall. There were burn marks on the comforter, and we found a mouse dropping in the bathroom. If we hadn't gotten in so late after an 11 hour drive and if the matress wasn't nice, we would have gone to another hotel that allows dogs, which are sparse. I would not recommend, it's not unreasonable to expect a clean room.

Very nice and comfortable room. One of the best motel 6's I've stayed at. I took one star off because, although the floors look clean, they are so dirty my feet turned black and I had to shower before bed just to clean my feet. Otherwise, great value, comfy bed, and nice room.

Really nice rooms and the prices are great. We got a smoking room with 2 queen sized beds. We were allowed to bring our two small dogs. Came through Abilene on a business trip and needed a non druggie/hooker motel room that was also affordable. The room was clean, the staff was friendly but not bothersome. We stayed one night and even with the pet fee x 2 our total was $62. I would recommend this place to anyone that needs a suitable place to sleep for a night. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because they allowed other clients who were with a company to take over their parking lot so we had to carry our stuff a lot farther than we ordinarily would have I'd all their parking wasn't full of work trucks.

I was quoted a price on the phone and charged a different price at motel. I told them a nonsmoking on the first floor and they did not book this. So when I got there and had to change they charged me more! I can not walk up stairs very well and we arrived as mentioned in booking at 1:00 AM. The remote on the TV was broken. The cover for the battery was missing so you had to hold the battery section with your hand to make remote work. I feel I should have not been charged extra considering all the problems.

Room exceeded our expectations. It was big, clean and modern. We were happy because it was equipped with the microwave oven and refrigerator. Bed was very comfortable. Location of motel is good, it is quite close to the highway. Receptionist was very friendly. The only thing we were missing was a hairdryer.

Had a terrific stay… the room was so clean… and it had the new beds… the ones on platforms so that my cat can't climb up into any box spring and hide. Very comfortable room. Front desk lady was lovely, very personable and professional. Will definitely stay again!

I usually don't stay at Motel 6's because I know you get what you pay for, but staying here may have changed my mind. Since I'm really watching my wallet, I figured, "why not? ". I was not disappointed. Even though they don't have "breakfast" it was still WAAAAYYY better than other hotels that have their so called, Complimentary breakfast. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable and centrally located in Abilene. Highly recommended!

I love all the high end features in Motel6. Very nice bed, very nice TV and best of all the water massager in the shower with enough water pressure to make it work. As always, there is individually wrapped cups in the room! It is amazing how Motel6 is making a good thing even better. I am very impressed. Thanks. Weary traveler sometimes.

Room was clean. Bed was a bit stiff for my liking. For being a "pet friendly" hotel, didnt have a good place to walk my dogs.

The appearance was nice but the lamps didn't have lightbulbs. There wasn't an iron. The walls were very thin so you could hear everything outside. I booked for two adults and there was only two pillows. Also there wasn't any shampoo or soap.

They where relay bad! Had no wash towels in our room the whole time. The last day stay we had NO toilet paper. When we first check in, the key card system wouldn't work, they had to walk out and let us into our room. The first room we checked into had NO AC, so we had to move to another room after some attitude from the staff attendant. The price was good and they always have rooms available. LOL Go figure.

These are remodeled up to date rooms. Wood floors, big screen wall mounted TVs with lots of channels to choose from. Rooms were very clean and smelled fresh. Everything worked properly, lights, a/c, shower, sink, ice machine and vending machines. I noticed motel filled quickly but was quiet and most of all I felt safe. Walked the property in the evening and it was a very calm setting. I really enjoyed my stay and the environment.

Front desk lady Bobbe was very nice. The room was clean and updated furniture. The bathroom and walls were still old but for the price you can't beat staying here. 50 inch tv, fridge, and a microwave were included in the room.

This is a repurposed Motel 6, it used to be a Day's Inn. I've stayed in a few of these in different states with mixed results. This one has been completely redone on the inside is as good as new, it least my room was. So, I got a nice clean room and a reasonable price, typical of Motel 6.

Rooms were great. Large tv's in each room. Until the power went because of a storm. Issue I saw was no emergency lights. Every hotel has emergency lights that run on some back up generator that help people see. None came on what so ever. I highly recommend fixing this issue.

Not bad for the price. It's clean and they have laminate flooring which I like. Laminate is better since a lot of places steam clean a few times a year. The property is close to Hendricks and places to eat. Pretty quiet.

Room was very clean. The location was great. I didn't have no towels but was not a big deal. Overall my stay was good.

My expectation when I reserved was high, but when I left it, my expectations where low. Here are my observations. The are condition set was liking water. There was not coffee pot. There was no breakfast. Soap was bad smelling. And there was bad smell to cigarette. Towels were of inferior quality and the swimming pool was closed.

Room looks newly redone. Microwave doesn't work. No coffeemaker in room. No tissues. Staff is so lala. Good thing we stayed only one night.

The renovation is in progress. The outside is a little rough, but my room had been finished and was beautiful. The staff was particularly pleasant. The area was quiet during the night. I appreciated the free Wi-Fi.

I thought this location had been renovated. It was BEING renovated. I ended up next to a couple who apparently lived there with their dog. The dog barked a few times. Thankfully, not much between 10pm and 8am. The lack of hot water on the first morning was a shock. But it was repaired soon enough. I like the price, but my stays at Motel 6 are getting worse each time I stop there.

The only positive things that I have to say about this location is that the front desk attendant was friendly and kudos to the new manager for putting money in to the place to remodel. However, we were only on this property for 5mins before we decided we would not be staying here. We were standing at our cars attempting to hash out a parking/fuel/food plan when we noticed a child on the second floor walkway (same walkway we would have had to use to get to our room) who was frantically knocking on the door to come in. He did this for a few minutes before he dropped his pants in the middle of the walkway and began to deficate. My wife and I immediately opted to eat the cost of this hotel room for the night to go find a better one. We did not stay in this room, didn't even see the room we were assigned that night.

When booking my stay, the hotel stated newly opened which made me think that it was a new hotel. It was aweful! The room was old, outdated and semi clean. Although the major portion of the hotel looked like it was being renovated, the office was not at front of the hotel it was a little room on the side. I did booked a smoking room, but did not expect it to smell as back as it did. I presumed that the housekeeping staff would know what deodorizer it or at least Frebreeze. The smoke detector was laying on the top of the microwave with the wires handing out of the ceiling. This did not make me feel safe. Also you couldn't read the room number on the doors so I had to drive slowly with my window down in the pouring rain to figure out where my room was. I pulled the comforter back to go to bed and there was dirt in the sheets which made me wonder if they had been changed. I went out to my truck and brought in blankets of my own to sleep on. It was not a restful night.

I'm going to retype this in case it didn't take. This was the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed at. I'm not picky. I stay at Motel 6 all the time. I've even worked in jail and prisons. This was still the nastiest place I've been expected to spend the night. I was there for 15 minutes tops. When I walked in I noticed there were large stains on the bedspread. Large like 10 to 12 inch dark stains. The floor looked dingy and dirty. I did not want to put my things on the floor or on the bed. So I tried to put my things on the table which was very wobbly. I tried to pep talk myself into staying because I only needed a few hours to sleep after being on the road. There was visible dirt and specks of I-don't-know-what on the bathroom floor, but I told myself just to leave my shoes on. I figured I could sleep by putting my head in my hands on the table because I had already paid for the room. The bathroom counter was old, dated and had cup ring marks all over it. It was warped. The cleanest thing in the room was the TV. I don't know if it worked, I didn't bother turning it on. What did it for me was the microwave and fridge. The microwave was so old it was almond in color. They don't make those anymore. It had thick dust on it. The refrigerator had dried drippings on it of I-don't-know-what. It could've been candle wax, but I don't want to know. That was the last straw for me. I should've taken pictures, but I didn't have the presence of mind to do so.

They're in the middle of remodeling/new management so looks a mess, but don't think it's due to that. Room we stayed in was very poorly remodeled, if it even was. Didn't quite feel at ease staying there either but that's another story. Long story short, what we paid for this room was definitely not worth it especially during a week day stay. The other Motel 6 in town is way more decent and cheaper. Never staying here again.

Run down. The latch for the door didn't have anything to latch to so it was lose. People were physically fighting in the room next to us. The sink and bathtub were both gross, almost too gross to use. The Wi-Fi was very slow and continously cut in and out. The free continental breakfast consisted of Frosted Flakes and toast. If your looking a cheap place to get a few hours of sleep, it could work but I wouldn't trust much more than that. In spite of all this, the staff was also very friendly.

It was horrible the place is old and run down and we found bugs in our bed and I was itchy the whole night and didn't get to sleep until 4 am. And in the morning after stating hold on a second the housekeeper came in anyway. My husband and I will never stay there again.
