Awesome hotel and an amazing staff! Would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in the Tri Cities!

The mattresses are amazing. Would you be able to tell me what they are? Haven’t slept the same since I left there 3 weeks ago.

Was in kingsport for a teaching conference. I chose this hotel because the Holiday Inn express has never leg me down. This location was no different. The front desk workers were very friendly. The only downside was the breakfast. It was horrible. This was an unusual occurrence for me.

Rooms are beautiful. Breakfast was very good. Everyone was friendly. We stayed there Friday August 10, 2018 to Sunday August 12, 2018. Indoor pool was lovely. My 10 year old niece and I had the pool to ourselves for 3 and 1/2 hours. It was wonderful and clean.

The location is conveniently off of the interstate and easily accessed. The outside is nice and the hotel has a indoor pool. The only downside is the restaurant behind the building is closed for business.

Very nice staff. Worked with me and my very unpredictable schedule. Hotel is very clean and recently remodeled. House keeping did a wonderful job every day, and had the extra soaps already in my room every day, without having to be asked. I will be staying here whenever I'm in Kingsport TN.

Room was okay the person that checked us in was great allowed us to upgrade our room for “the complete trip” — then because we used our free anniversary night the third night of our stay for one of our rooms, we got a call at 4:00 and said it was considered a separate reservation and made us leave one of the two rooms we had reserved together into a room with one bed for four people really! Front desk man on duty shouldn’t have a job dealing with the public! If this is what my rewards nights and free nights get me — you can have them I’ll go back to Hilton Sorry this was a big disappointment and I travel a lot!

I'm a rewards member. I try to always stay at holiday inns. This location was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and prompt. My 1st issue is the elevators, one was out of order so it was extremely slow getting to and from our room. But that is understandable when one is out of service. My 2nd issue is the jacuzzi tub that I specifically requested and paid extra for. Our room last night was clean fresh and very well maintained. Again I love holiday inns, But the tub took forever to fill up and then only 3 out of the 7 jets worked. And when you pay more just to be able to take a relaxing bath it just stinks when it dosen't end up that way. Then our 3rd issue is breakfast was over at 9:45am so we just about missed it. We where told it would be open until 10am like 99% of the other locations, then pancake machine was labeled out of order. Which is what our kids wanted but we settled for gravy&biscuits which was fine it was similar to cafeteria style food. But keeping breakfast out until at least 10 is a good idea. We would normally get to breakfast earlier but a travel ball team of idk how many kids showed up after midnight and needless to say could be heard for hours after there arrival. The pool area was clean and well kept. I didn't see the fitness area.

King sized bed, bountiful abundance of semi firm pillows and covers. The large bathroom and shower was well lit by the mirror lighting. The hot water never ran dry. The indoor pool was warm and inviting. Even the cable and internet was easy to use. I slept like a log.

Great view of the industrial zone if you stay in the even number rooms. At night it looks like a small late night working city, absolutely a sight. Lots of places to go eat out and stores nearby. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. A great selection from the breakfast bar and an indoor swimming pool. I do a lot of traveling for work and stay Holiday inn and suites and express's a lot but this was one of the best places that I have stayed in. The king sized beds are great plus the rooms are very spacious a\c and heater works wonderfully. There is plenty of parking. There is also a gazebo to sit in outside and covered so people can hang out in there in any kind of weather. Any time I'm in Kingsport Tennessee this is the place I will be staying in or even if I'm in a neighboring town. I would suggest this place to everyone.

It was a Great Start to my Grandson’s “Spring Breaking”! The Pool was Great! The Kings size beds were Great! The Free Breakfast was Great! We Loved our Stay! Highly recommend this Holiday Inn!

Staying in a king suite lots of room, clean brand new and comfy beds. Our Family is enjoying our time here.

The hotel is very nice and clean. I stayed in a suite and everything was as. I've as possible. The beds are very comfortable and it was a fantastic place to stay. Plus there is breakfast.

The room was large and well-appointed — lots of plugs and charging ports. Breakfast had a good selection, including fruit. The lobby was under renovation, but there was no inconvenience.

Recently renovated the rooms are modern yet comfortable. Aside from paint fumes from the recent work, the rooms were fantastic. The breakfast is on par with Holiday Inn standards and the Cinnamon Rolls were amazing as always.

Great rooms at a great rate. Always stay here when I visit Kingsport and have never had a bad experience.

Nice clean rooms. Spacious. Contenintal breakfast leaves much to be desired. But everything is great!

Very comfy bed and clean rooms. The hotel was very clean overall. The rooms are kept updated. The pool is nice and the breakfast is above standard with a great variety. Also a great location in a quiet area, not right next to busy express ways.

I absolutely loved this place! The staff wad incredibly friendly & accommodating. They had information at the front desk will th ideas of what to do around town that was very helpful. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable! They had keurig machines in the rooms with plenty of coffee and made sure to let me know if I forgot anything they'd try to replace it. I highly recommend this place!

The rooms are newly renovated and very clean, the staff is nice enough, the breakfast is quite goos, though I like a nice fresh fruit salad myself instead of apples, oranges and bananas (it is hard to get them at ideal freshness at a Continental breakfast). The rooms are much bigger than the staff suggested when I called to inquire. We were here for a huge event in town and that didn't seem to upset the flow of business as usual at the hotel at all. We had a view of the Eastman Chemical factory, but there are pretty hills behind that, and the sunset from the parking lot wad fantastic. Pool is small, but warm and clean. Workout room is a bit tight, but nicely equipped. I wish they had local news on instead of what was on at breakfast, as it made it hard to keep an appetite. Maybe that was intentional :-D. If we had another event in the area, I would certainly consider staying here again. Even though they have some neat things going on in Kingsport, I would not likely return otherwise.

The hotel was clean conmfortable. I arrived late in the evening and wanted to leave early the next morning. So having the receipt put under my door over night and not having to check out was going to speed things up in the morning. Unfortunately the team didn't deliver the receipt to my room as they said they would. Not a real hardship, but if you say you will do something I expect it to be done. Other than that the breakfast was a typical hotel Continental breakfast. Received a nice upgrade of my room upon arrival which was a pleasant surprise.

This place is awful! Rude and extremely unprofessional staff. They do not have it listed anywhere, but they are doing remodels. They start at 6 AM! It is loud, you can't sleep and things are falling apart and half fixed. The breakfast area is unclean and not maintained very well. There are rules in place to keep the kitchen area sanitary and they are not followed. Coffee pots are not cleaned, food is never rotated, and the list could keep going. I would suggest passing this place up in favor for the next.

Ernest was our savior! We drove in from Texas and were on the road for over 14 hours. We got into town and didn't know there was a huge football game in town. EVERY hotel was literally booked. Ernest took us in! He gave us a warm breakfast and extra blankets. Thank God for Ernest! The morning staff was so nice as well. We are so thankful for the hospitality of Holiday Inn Express!

Absolutely the best hotel experience ever. The staff treats everyone like friends and family. Rooms are spacious and immaculately clean every time.

I always try to stay at Hampton or holiday inn because of the excellent customer service and cleanliness. HOWEVER — this Kingsport TN location has been my worst hotel experience in at least 10 years. The cleanliness was (as always) great. But after traveling for an entire day and wanting nothing more than to check into a hotel and crash, I was unable to do so. Why? My window. The seal is broken and not only splashing tons of water through my window along with cold air — but also squealing, hissing and vibrating louder than the TV volume. When I went to ask the manager about getting my room switched or a refund, discount, or even hotel points, I was told there was nothing she can do, and that I am over reacting about the weather. Please understand, I know that wind makes noise… But it's coming through my window. Actually, as I type this my curtain is flapping from the outside air. Needless to say I am pissed. The front desk manager upon talking to my travel agent about getting a refund, assured my agent that my room is fine, and all guest rooms are in the exact same condition. How sad. This is unacceptable and I hope they are satisfied for charging me for a room I cannot even sleep in. I have half a mind to go sleep in the lobby since every hotel in the area is already booked.

Nice room, friendly staff… all let down by a terrible breakfast. Eggs are just atrocious. Powdered, gelatinous cubes of 'egg' are not scrambled eggs.

I always choose holiday inn express when I stay in Kingsport. I got my welcome points added before I even got to the room. The room was spotless and the shower was strong pressure and got. And the best part was the fact that they had real chocolate milk in the breakfast area. That's a big plus.

Very nice hotel, the room was great and the staff were helpful. We only had two complaints. First, our key cards kept demagnetizing and we had to go from the 5th floor to the lobby four separate times, which was difficult with an infant. Second, the hot breakfast was pretty subpar, even for free hotel breakfast.

I need to start by saying that I have stayed here 20 nights in the last 30. I have been working overnight locally and must sleep during the day. I had given the front desk a request to not be called or bothered as to get as much sleep during the day. Yesterday I ended work at 9AM, was in bed sleeping by 10 AM. The staff called at 1030AM stating the water would be turned off at noon. A call that I felt was worthy of being bothered when I requested not to be. So I set my alarm for 11AM just to get up and shower and then I would go back to sleep. Well at 11AM the water was off, of course making me furious. I called the desk and the woman that answered laughed and said, "yeah its off". When I asked why was it done at 11 and not 12 she said, "that was my mistake sorry, again laughing". So I asked for it to be turned back on and she said she would call me back. Half hour went by as I am standing in the room with only a towel, and no call back. I put on my clothes, because at this point I am too furious to sleep anymore and I head to the desk. I ask why she never called me and another woman comes out, again chuckling and apologizing. Sorry I do not find this funny! So she tells me that I can go "down the road" and shower at another hotel. What the hell? A hotel has several responsibilities, one to provide a quiet place to sleep, failed. It also needs to provide water to bathe, failed. So would I reccomend? No way. The Meadowview down the street is a few more dollars and worth it.

Recently spent the weekend at the Holiday Inn Express in Kingsport and was very impressed. One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in… convenient location, quiet comfortable rooms, and great breakfast. Will definitely stay there again!

Great place to stay. Very clean and the staff is friendly. Plus it has a great view of one of my favorite places, Bays mountain.
