The pros: the room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The location was great. Every room has an ocean front room. The kitchenette has a modern, full sized refrigerator, stove and microwave, as well cooking and eating utensils. The air conditioning until was powerful and the shower had great water pressure. The Wi-Fi was pretty good. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have a great pool, lazy river and water slides. The cons: other than the flat screen TV, the furnishings were functional, but antiquated and the bed was uncomfortable.

It was definitely a good stay but with some little things that could have made for a better trip. First thing is sand in the beds our first night here which was an obvious sign that we didn't have clean sheets. Second complaint is house keeping didn't really do anything when they came in. I'd also suggest bringing your own food and using the refrigerator in your room because on site food is crazy expensive. $12 for a flipping hamburger wow. But like I said the vacation was good. Great pool areas and lots for the kids to do. I definitely suggest staying here.

The Crown Reef can best be described as the projects of Myrtle Beach; filthy, loud and unsafe. We arrived in Myrtle Beach after driving hours from New York and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. The elevators smell of urine and are hot and slow. The parking garage is like driving in a video game, you have to squeeze in and around tight spaces while going up hills and dodging other cars. The rooms are mediocre at best. The pool area stinks and the only bathroom outside is a portable toilet located in a make-shift garage area. We were traveling with our small children so we decided this wasn’t the place for us. The hotel refused to refund us our money so we ended up paying double; for the crown reef and for another resort located up the beach. Do yourself a favor a stay away from this place. The pictures on the website are false advertisement-it’s a dump.

Was somewhat disappointed with cleanliness of hotel. Furniture needed replaced as beds and couches were severely worn and uncomfortable (our pullout bed in sofa was entirely broken). Half of the hot tubs (in pool area) were filthy and jets broken. Aside from the lengthy line for check in (it took us 45 min to reach service desk) the woman who checked us in was friendly and informative. The bar staff at the poolside bar was fast and friendly. For the money I spent, I could have found something better.

It is definitely a family friendly hotel but I was not pleased with cleanliness or rooms. The $10 per vehicle per day was also ridiculous. I would never stay here again. Staff was nice thank goodness, so our one night we stayed was bearable. Also the only bathroom near the pools was a port a potty! That was unacceptable for a resort that charged almost $250 a night.

This place is a DUMP! $270 per night to wake up and find roaches crawling in bed with you is not my idea of a great resort. The room door deadbolt was broken, so they sent a maintenance person up to attempt to fix it. No luck, 2 hrs later we're shuffled (3 kids, bags, and all) to an entirely different building. The pool was a staff infection just waiting to happen. My wife had an allergic reaction to something on her pillow and her face swoll up so bad we had to rush her to the emergency room. You would do better to sleep in your car! I might as well had taken 6 one hundred dollar bills out and lit them on fire because it was such a waist of money. I'm telling you DON'T DO IT! You can't possibly hate your family that much.

Cool place to stay… You are right on the beach… This place has it's own water park… Super fun… Good food in there restaurant, with a fantastic view of the Atlantic Ocean… Also located on the South end of Myrtle Beach, which to me is less busy than North Myrtle Beach… Friendly and knowledgeable staff too…

Rooms were great with an amazing ocean view. The pools were great as well. I would maybe stay away from eating at the grab n go. We got lunch to go and it came with a bug inside the chicken wrap. The manager was great about doing everything she could to make it better. Staff was also super friendly. Another thing only one of three elevators worked so we spent a lot of time waiting because taking a stroller up 10 flights of stairs can be a challenge.

First time in Myrtle Beach. Travelled with children from age 5-16. The resort had many things to offer such as indoor/outdoor pools (towels must be signed in/out) and hot tubs (all open until 10pm, arcade/game room must have exact change game prices range from $1-$3.00, and a restaurant/breakfast buffet $10.95 adults $5.00 for kids age 5. The beach is a few steps away and the ocean front view is amazing. Price wise the room was $49.00 a night and slept 6 comfortably. We had daily maid service. Wonderful place and staff.

We had a wonderful experience at crown reef this past weekend. We received a great rate from their website that included breakfast and meal vouchers, arcade money, as well as a souvenir cup for free soft drinks. Our toddler loved the indoor water park and the food was great (especially the hot breakfast buffet! ). I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I do feel the room could have been a bit cleaner. It was clear that the tile/grout in the bathroom/kitchen area had not been properly cleaned in some time. We did love our view of the water slides and the ocean though!

Very good overall experience. Room was well kept and clean. Bathroom was nice them most hotels I've been in. Ocean view is pretty. Full kitchen is nice. The hot water and water pressure were better then expected. Good from there "loco gecko" restaurant in the hotel was delicious. Over all would definitely recommend.

Booked a birthday party and overnight stay. The party was great and the host was great. The rooms are alright. Housekeeping has been great and brought extra items quickly. The only issue we have had was my child was given a coupon for a free sand art design and the workers were leaving for the day (Sunday) when he went to do it. And today (Monday, they weren't open and said they wouldn't be until probably Wednesday. Luckily we will be here until then, but I'm sure not all children that hosted parties will be.

Love this resort! Rooms are clean, staff is friendly and responsive. Pools, lazy river, and waterslides are well kept and there kids love them. A clean, well run family resort with lots to do at the resort and nearby. Arcade kept the kids entertained for hours, breakfast buffet was great, snack bar was good. This was our second time and we will definitely go again.

We had a great time at this resort! I highly recommend it for an awesome time at the right price. The room was modern and clean with an amazing view and sufficient amenities. We had a ton of stuff (two luggage carts full) and it all fit nicely into a double queen efficiency. The hotel staff was awesome. We didn't encounter a single one that wasn't polite and pleasant. They go out of their way to say hello. There were activities planned the entire time we were there (it was during Easter so that helped), but it was nice to see that they will spend some money to provide additional entertainment to guests. The setup of the pools was one of the best we've ever seen and we're frequently at Disney resorts. Multiple pools (indoor and outdoor) and more hot tubs than we've ever seen at one place. It was chilly while we were there but the heated pools could still be enjoyed (getting out was the tough part). We only went on one of the slides but my five year old daughter and I flew down it! It was much faster than I was expecting. Every morning they're out cleaning the pools and they flatten the sand on the beach. During low tide the beach is huge too and little pools are created which are fun for the kids to splash in. There's also a small canal just south of the resort that flows into the ocean and during low tide it creates a mini river. My daughter thought it was amazing. We're from Florida too so not our first time at a beach.

Using Groupon made the room very affordable. The view of every room is that of the ocean. Would not have been able to afford a hotel with ocean view at full price. The room is lovely! I can cook and prep my own food. Instead of going broke at restaurants! Only down fall is the bathroom plumbing. The tub handle is very hard to turn. And I had to open the back of the toilet myself to reattach the chain (it wouldn't flush)! Twice! (When we first got the room we check to make sure everything was working).

Great place for the price. Kids loved the indoor water park and pool. Only downfall is the last few nights of our stay they we're working on a room across from us. They were very loud. Disturbing especially for toddlers. It wasn't a busy week they should have at least tried to move people away from areas they have to work on.

Nice hotel, clean rooms but tower 1 is the oldest and not the best. Don't walk in the parking garage alone at night. Scared off a mugger with a tire tool in his hand who walked up behind me between 2 cars. Had reached back into car to grab my concealed weapon because I didn't like his manner and looks when he walked by. He saw gun and ran. His buddy who was his point man standing at the elevator, ran also, jumped in car and sped off. But this is the South end of Myrtle and this is what it's about. My Niece was staying there on business and we had went to eat. I am a Security firm Administrator in Myrtle so know what happens here. Crown Reef is a good hotel, just watch yourself in the area.

The breakfast was awesome. The view was great. The hot tub was great. The wind was COLD. Room was clean. Arcade room was cool. Elevators were scary. Parking was great on top floor. Would go back… in summer.

Great place. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Room was amazing for the price. Pools and lazy river were awesome and clean. Many different hot tubs to choose from. The waterslides were a big hit with our kids. Food was also good. I would definitely recommend.

Omg! Loved this resort! Had such a great vacation there! Staff was friendly and hotel was clean and fun for the kids! Lots of pools and hot tubs. Maybe one complaint… the arcade wasn't the best especially with every game being $1 or more. We had a better time at the arcades down the strip where we were able to spend a decent amount of time without breaking the bank.

The people were great. Stephanie was amazing at check in… But there was no hot water after 30-40 seconds and we were told they were out of towels almost 3 days (thank God for Renée we were able to shower). Our room was cleaned 1 time out of 5 days. We had to take trash down 2 times. We stay here every year and usually its flawless… But we felt forgotten.

I stayed here for 2 nights for a work conference. The restaurant grab n go breakfast had friendly employees and pretty good food. Room service was normal. The only complaint I have is that the ice machines weren't working. I had to go down to the restaurant to get ice.

Although the hotel may still be under some construction after the hurricane of 2016, we can definitely see major improvements since last year! The pools and lazy river are beautiful! Hot tubs are very relaxing. The breakfast buffet is amazing! Eggs and omelettes made to order, waffles, pancakes. Sausage gravy, biscuits, bacon, grits, fresh fruit, cereal, etc. The oceanfront rooms have beautiful views. The hotel has a multi — story waterslide, a large arcade and bar on site. We will return in the future. ☺

This resort is wonderful just because you are literally on the beach. It has a nice breakfast. There is a water park in the resort although we did not use it. It looked good from outside. The rooms could have been better. We took a king size jacuzzi suite but the furniture looked like almost 15 years old. The assistants are courteous which makes up for the old rooms. Loved the place and will surely visit again!

Very friendly, courteous room keepers and front desk. Everyone is really nice. I liked the view from my room. It takes a long time waiting for an elevator, but I was fine with that. I would definitely go back again!

My family of 6 went during Christmas break because of a fantastic deal through Groupon. We enjoyed the entire property even though it was unseasonably cold and getting to the water park and to and from the room was all outdoors. The room was recently renovated and as we got an efficiency, very convenient. Definitely will look to go there again, just when it's warmer.

The staff here was great. Everybody was super helpful and cheerful. From maintenance to the breakfast attendants — I was really impressed with the level of service we received. Fun place to stay.

Cockroaches in bathroom in December, seriously! 1st visit ever staying here with my family. Wanted something close to airport due to an early flight, so stayed here. Checked in around 8pm, get to room, walk in bathroom and there were two live cockroaches just chilling. Tiled floors were disgusting and sticky, had to wear sock/shoes. Shower drain backed up while showering. I paid for a suite, one of the larger ones. I will NEVER waste my money and stay here again, it's rundown and not cared for. Sorry, just keeping it real. Coming from someone that has stayed in practically every hotel in myrtle beach, this one ranks the lowest of all my stays in suites.

It was my first time here and I had a great time. Vacation well spent. Pool open during Thanksgiving and jacuzzi. Gym is clean. Restaurant and game room came in handy. Rooms were clean. Staff was so nice they made you feel comfortable. Had clean and fresh towels everyday room service was excellent.

Rooms were ok. Hallways could have been up kept a bit better, I know it was off season so it wasn't a big deal. The "indoor" water park is not as "indoor" as described. It was very cold and breezy getting to the slides. I think this should be fixed. All in Al nice little stay for the family.

We had the most enjoyable time… we have stayed at different resorts. BUT this place is very clean with great amenities and awesome views… Great fitness center! And convenient location on strip. The ladies and staff that take care of everything are knowledgeable and always have a smile…

Summary of our stay, checking out on 10-22-17. The resort staff were very friendly and went out of their way to meet our expectations. The food, although good, the wait time to get it, was extremely long. One word sums up the rooms-gross. The rooms need updates and repairs but we did not go to the hotel to stay in the room, we went to hang out at the beach and swim in the pools, which incidentally were updated and very nice. Overall I was pleased!

We have our wedding booked here for November. We have tried for 3 months to get a hold of anyone! Then they want to charge $20 MORE per room than the compass cove next door! They have over $24 in fees! And parking fees! Absolutely ridiculous! Our wedding is on a Thursday in the off season! Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere for your event or even to just stay!

Room was somewhat small but clean and well-equipped with a nice ocean view. The restaurant and bar had good food. The banquet facility was great and had delicious food. However, it was across the street from our room. Check-in employees were not very friendly but the rest of the staff was. Housekeeping was nice and did a great job.

Lots of water activities and game room. Food expensive, but good. Nice place for conferences, hotel with ocean front rooms, and conference center just across street. Easy walking to several amenities but maybe more difficult to get around for older or disabled persons. Some elevators not working when we were there, so often had to wait for elevator. Property could use some more maintenance on small items like bathroom fixtures and doors, elevators, windows, but nice updated tile flooring in our room.

I have recently been in June 2017. The rooms are small yes, they have been updated but there was no art on the walls, it kinda felt like a small Jail cell. There were huge cockroaches on the outside balcony and they were climbing on the building. Not to mention I was there and apparently there was a shooter! — while my family was on the beach. They have a few pools but one of them had foam floating on top, yuck! The "water park" consisted of two slides and a small slide with an old metal boat thing that had water streaming out of it. The stairs that lead to the big water slides smelled like urine, like A LOT of urine. My kids had so much fun tho because they are little but next summer vacation we won't be back. Plus it was so expensive!

Absolutely a great time. Very comfortable room. Excellent hotel employees. My girls ran off while I was getting things together. In less than seconds of me asking for help they had them to me. Love that!

Rooms are dated but not too awful I guess. Just not what expected​. Pics on line for advertising must have been taken when first built. Looks alot nicer than it is. Still had good trip since mostly outside. Pools and ocean front nice. Suits r big enough for family of 4-5. Doubt would book again since rooms are in need of update. Kitchen area was nice but bathroom could use new tub shower area and bigger space. Thought the last minute price was too good to be true, and it was. You get what you pay for.

Family of 5 loved it! Not a fancy 5 star hotel but the amenities, ocean view rooms, clean beach, water park/pools were perfect and affordable for this family of 5. Rooms were very clean and the staff so friendly. Breakfast was delicious. We definitely will be returning! We had the time of their life ❤

Amazing experience here at Crown Reef Resort! Staff is very friendly and always smiling. The room took a minute to be ready, but we tried getting in before check-in time (we still got in early! ), but the wait was well worth it! Our room was very clean and smelled clean as well. Floors and sheets and bathroom, everything was spotless. The beds are very comfortable, me and my husband slept wonderfully while we stayed here. The breakfast was delicious! Also: great ocean access from the hotel (I think there are 7 walkways to the ocean), and all of the pool sites and water park areas are very cool! We will certainly be coming back here the next time we're in Myrtle Beach!

My family and I have been coming to the Crown Reef since I was a little girl. This is our first time back in several years, and it just isn't what it once was, and definitely not worth the money anymore. The amenities are still wonderful, but the way the hotel is run is frustratingly inefficient. After being promised a 12 o'clock check-in, our room was not ready until after 3, at which time, we had to wait in a very long line (again) to get our room. It then took us over an hour to get our stuff to our room due to lack of luggage carts and broken elevators. By the end of this ordeal, we were sweaty, angry, and it was past 5 o'clock, meaning we had lost almost an entire day just checking in. The broken elevators were not fixed during our stay, and at some times it took over 10 minutes to get on the one that was working, which is way more time than I'd like to waste at the beach. Despite many wonderful childhood memories here, I don't think we will be returning.

The hotel has Excellent amenities, especially if you're traveling with kids. The arcade, water park, and all pools are Awesome. However, the rooms definitely need to be updated. The elevators in Tower 1 were Ridiculous to say the least. One elevator wasn't working so there was at least a 20 minute wait each time you left the room, so whenever you were finally able to get on, it was Full of people and Hot (there was no air in the elevators either). Keep in mind that this Hotel has 11 floors. I just think that for the price of a stay at this hotel, they can do ALOT better. We'll definitely be staying somewhere else next time.

I can't understand any of the complaints I read prior to staying here. I did look at reviews as I always do but at the end of the day you will never know unless you try it out. We spent 8 days here and it was amazing. Rooms were very clean and neat. Everything is up to date. The stove and microwave are newer than what I've seen in most homes. The Loco gecko restaurant was very good. Get one of the burgers! pools were awesome as well as water slides. Beautiful view. Tower 2 is the one you want to stay in because it is dead center! staff was very friendly and constantly made sure on a daily basis that we were enjoying ourselves. We will be back!

One of the best decision I ever made. Forget all the negative comments. The place accommodated my family of 8 perfectly. We'll definitely be back! Resort had something for everyone. Swimming, sunning, relaxing, beaching, and much more.

This was a really fun resort. The rooms were a little dated but it was nice having the view and a kitchen to cook food. Everything was very clean though throughout the entire resort and there were always lots of things to do. My family and I had an amazing time there and it was really fun. My kids loved the water park that was a part of the resort. It was a lot of fun, especially for the little ones. It was also awesome to be close to the ocean and be able to go to the beach all the time.

I recently stay here in may 2016. I was very displeased with the fact I payed for 2 $10 arcade cards and they argued I only payed for one, then when they gave me my second onr and went to use them… shocker they only had $5 on each. Rip off. Then if that wasnt bad enough there were roaches in the bathroom and I saw dead ones by the pool! I will never bring my family here again. Our stay was supposed to be for 2 nights. We left after1 night when already paid for both due to the bugs. I called and spoke with a manager named Tess that assured me she would refund my second night and $20 for the two game cards and well here I am 2 weeks later without a refund and I called yesterday she claimed the card system was being updatef she would call me back by 2pm. Never happened. And today every time I call she is conveniently busy or out of the office. Dont waste your money. Sure the waterpark is nice, if you like roaches.

Location is nice and away from the hustle and bustle of the main Myrtle Beach area. Lots of access areas to the beach. Lots of pools etc. During this visit there has only been 1 elevator for 10 floors and all the guest and service staff. There a minimum of TV channels. The floor was grimy and so was the carpet. The staff had no handles and was leaking plus it took forever to cool anything. The popcorn ceiling is peeling. The furniture is outdated. It has many nicks and peeling areas. Customer service told us the hotel has changed hands several times over the past years and they did nothing to keep the resort up. The newest owners are working on the hotel to bring it up to a resort standard. Resort? I would not call this a resort. Staff was nice and helpful.

If you want to walk several flights of stairs due to every elevator being broken, get to your room that has no functional plumbing, and then try to lay on your bed only to find a dead bed bug under your pillow, you've come to the right place. Upon finding the bed bug I talked to the front desk and they sent 2 guys to come and examine the situation. They tore up all the being said they found nothing even though I clearly pointed out bug casings to them… I guess only active scurrying bugs count. But then to say that there's no bugs and leave our bedding torn up for us to deal with? What kind of hospitable hotel is this? So I tell the front desk attendant that I would just like my money back for the night because we would be sleeping in the van instead of risking infestation and he refused! If I could give this place 0 stars I would but unfortunately I need to give at least 1 to write this. I will never stay here again and for now on will make a point to say how terrible it is to everyone that even mentions myrtle beach.

This hotel leaves a lot to be desired. These were my immediate observations: 1. A dead roach in the bathroom. 2. A Smokey smell in the room. 3. Holes in the sheets 4. The so-called loco geko did not have any wine 5. The "block" of rooms reserved for the wedding we attended were not on the same floor. I really wouldn't recommend this hotel. There was plaster peeling from the ceilings in the walkways and overall it is in dire need of repair.

Nice place. The pools need some work. Right on the beach. The break feast was great. They just need help cleaning tables off. Elevators don't work properly.

We were put up at the Crown Reef through our Blue Green Vacations package. The staff was courteous and friendly. The heated pools (indoor and outdoor) were great to have! The 2 slides in the water park are a LOT of fun! The only downside, somewhat, is that the resort is one of the last buildings at the end of the strip, so it is just a bit of a walk to all the restaurants and stores.

If I didn't have to at least give one star to voice my opinion I wouldn't give any stars! this place was horrible I was overcharged on my account I only stayed one night and was charged for 3 nights and they didn't refund me the room had roaches in it and my sheets has blood stains on them when I brought it to the maids attention she said sometimes the stains don't wash out and it would be ok YUCK I went and bought sheets and pillow cases just to sleep for one night I complained at the front desk and the lady gave me an addittude as if it was my fault their sheets were nasty and acted as if I brought the roaches from home and clearly I have never had roaches it's was the worst place I have ever stayed and I have stayed at nearly 20 different hotels at myrtle beach! I was reading these reviews and odvisoulsy I'm not the only one they have a lot of bad reviews! This place should be closed down! Horrible place ever.

Absolutely horrible arrived at hotel elevator was out had to use service elevator when I asked an employee where this was he said " no speak English" got up to room which was nice other than safe didn't work, frig wouldn't close, roaches on floor dead ones, called for service and the same maintenance man who couldn't speak English spoke fine but couldn't fix anything. No more room available they said. On our second night all elevators didn't work. Was on 7th floor and had a bad foot. Asked for refund still waiting on that. 3rd day was told the elevators would be working, "not" got stuck on service elevator between floors it had no emergency equipment to call for help had to call fire department. The outside looks great and for the price of 150 to 229 a night all would be great. Would not stay ever again. Worst weekend ever.

Oh for the love of God. I wish I would have read these reviews before I booked here. 7 days are going to be cut short and stayed in another hotel, if it is half as bad and these reviews say it is. I understand the hotel has several 1000 people staying there any given day. No excuse for being dirty, pools and hot tubs being closed. I just watch an hour long you tube video from a year ago. It was a train wreck, but there was remodeling being done at the time of the video. There was a metal plate in the middle of the kitchen wall that was half painted. Staples sticking up in the carpet. I hope I can give it at least 3 stars by the end of the week. $2, 800 for 2 rooms is a lot of money to throw away. We searched and searched for large hotels with adjoining rooms, with no luck. Crown Reef said they do not have adjoining rooms, but if we booked now, that it was far enough in advance that it will not be a problem to get our rooms side by side. The only hotel that told us that. So we chose to stay here. Hope they can keep their word.

Stayed here for 5 days. It was absolutely terrible. Just a warning the pictures are probably taken ten years ago or edited. The pools are dirty and need cleaned. The rooms are outdated and there were no working ice machines. The vending machines on two floors didn't work. I can only remember using the elevator a few times because atleast three were out order and multiple people told us some were acting up. The restaurant in the hotel was very overpriced and we waited 50 minutes for a pizza. To top this whole experience off we had house keeping come twice, trash was piled up and no clean towels or sheets. Overall, bad experience. This hotels needs redone. Will not recommend to come for a vacation.

We booked a last minute room for this last weekend and were so impressed from start to finished. The pricing was reasonable and the staff was friendly and courteous. The room was clean and well decorated. The ocean view from the balcony was beautiful and we loved that there was a full kitchen in the room. We attempted to used the indoor pool on Saturday but it was very full. We were down with a large group for a Softball tournament, so on Saturday evening we headed down to the hotel's bar for karaoke and it was soooo much fun! The only negative would be that the outside corridors and elevators need renovations to go with the rest of the hotel. Also, on our first night, the fire alarm went off at 4am and we evacuated, but were back in 15 minutes. Besides that it was great!

It was old and in disrepair. Elevators were not in working order the room was poorly kept. The drain in the tub was slow, the toilet made a long drawn out sound. The "indoor" water park was too cold and drafty to enjoy and the chlorine levels of the pools were so intense it ruined our clothes. Weird unidentified bloody thing in the freezer we complained and got a nights free stay but I wish they would run a tighter ship. We stayed at the dunes last year and it was better: (

We choose this hotel specifically for its indoor water park. But it was so drafty and cold that we were not able to enjoy the slides. The chlorine in the pool was so strong that it bleached my clothing. The elevators were not working, the only available one was the glass one, and the glass was so crusty you couldn't see through much of it. The room was crusty/ dirty around the picture frames and on the edges of the furniture. There was some sort of bloody mess in the freezer vents (gross). And then there was the shower. When we went to wash off the harsh chlorine, in our shower in the room, black hair came up out of the drain. The kids refused to shower…

Friendly staff and great location but that's where it stops. The entire area has not been cared for. Lazy river looked liked in needed a thorough cleaning and good portion of tiles on steps were gone. Hot tub looked unkept as well and was unappealing to get into. Carpet pealing up in outdoor hallways. Elevators looked worn and not all were in service. One elevator stopped at floor 4 every single time whether floor was selected or not. Some call buttons on floors for elevator didn't work. Had three lamps in room, only one worked. Had to put muscle into the door just to push the lever down to open it. Will never go to again. If I have to go there for another conference I'll stay the night somewhere else.

The staff insisted that guests leave a review about their stay, so here it is. This wasn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, but I definitely won't be back. We checked in on Friday night and our room was on the 5th floor in Tower 3. There are only 2 elevators, and one was broken; the other one never stopped on our floor after we waited on it for 15 minutes. It just went up and down and skipped us. We ended up having to carry a toddler and all of our bags up 5 flights of stairs, and both of us have asthma. As soon as we got in the room I called Guest Services to tell them about the elevators and with an attitude the woman said "Um, okay so what are they doing? " I told her, and she said "Well I guess I'll have maintenance see if they can fix it for you. " No care whatsoever that people are having to use the stairs to get to their rooms. The elevators remained like this the whole weekend, and more than half of the time when we were coming or going we had to take the stairs. Later that night around 4:00am a mans voice came over the intercom and said "Let me have your attention please" and then an alarm sounded twice. This happened two times in a row but the person on the intercom never said what he needed our attention for. I assumed we weren't in any danger and tried to go back to sleep over the loud sounds of bangs, crashes, yelling and conversation coming from the rooms around us — the walls here are paper thin and you can hear everything.

If you don't mind being woke up every hour to screaming, this is the place for you. This place has no quiet time between the loud people that just roam the halls all hours of the day/night to the water pipes that are louder than the air conditioning. The halls are lined with jumbo size del monte green bean cans for cigarettes though the whole building smells of smoke. It appears that they just remodeled the room I stayer in from the looks of the white paint on every piece of furniture, carpet, and tiling but it appears no one has ever vacuumed. Dishes and cookware were dirty, provided coffee packs look like they were shoved in a sweaty woman's bra for a couple hours and put back on the counter. Maybe that's not a big deal to you at about $50 a night but I'm sure you'd be upset when you find the bugs in your room that are staying the night with you rent free. This place is nothing but a rat hole, if you have the option to stay at another hotel you should. Not worth the time, frustration, fear of being robbed or being subjected to roaches.

Was very relaxing. Loved the breakfast. The jacuzzi in the suite only had 2 out of 5 jets working but it was fine. The ocean view could have been better if we were on a higher floor than the 4th one. The room was quiet and the mattress was comfortable. I did had to call twice to get me towels as they were gone after cleaning but never replaced.

I would not recommend this place for its price, maybe if it was under $50 a night for all the rooms then yes. Others will say geez why people are complaining about this place well this is why, there isn't enough towels for the family while in the water park area nor tubes, there is no recent updates to any of the water park area, the whole place needs a makeover. I'm not that picky so we dealt with it, took our room towels to the water park area n stayed inside because we went in Dec to Jan. The rooms are like a motel 6 room but has a kitchen. I say go to Dunes village Resort 1st or Landmark we've been to both n Dunes is better maintained, we did see a water bug in winter n a pincher in the kitchen area. If u area picky don't go here u will regret it, no one follows the rules n people take drinks n stuff into the areas ur not suppose to. I would go back if it's half the price we paid of $420 for 4 nights. Dunes, go to Dunes. Next time we will try a different one n then pick the best one for future visit n stick to that 1. Maybe after renovations we will give this place another chance. Save ur money n go somewhere worth it.

This is the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel experience. The "indoor" waterpark is still freezing cold. The rooms were shabby and old and had a weird smell. We left early and got our money back due to all the noise being made by the trashy people next door to us. My husband saw a prostitute and her pimp in the parking garage underneath our room as we were leaving. Do not stay here!

My stay was awesome here! I loved the hot pools! The bar area was very nice. The Wi-Fi internet was fast and reliable. The staff was very friendly and polite. The building is a bit dated but still a very nice location with a great view of the ocean and near the pier that you can walk out on. The price was awesome and room was very clean. Access to places was not bad since there was not as much traffic in that area as you see further up the coast. I would suggest you give them a shot for sure.
