I love my local Starbucks but the summer employees are very rude. They're especially rude to my grandchildren and that makes me angrier than anything. Teach them better people skills or get the winter employees back.

Good coffee but we're out of banana bread.

I am so sorry that I have to be honest about the resort and give it only two stars. The reason for the two stars is because the resort is 1. On the beach and 2. The representatives were very, very nice. Other than that, the place did not look or feel clean, the room was tiny and the price per night was very high. I have stayed at several different hotels on the beach and experienced cleanliness and comfort and the Bay View Resort does not compare. Again, the employees were very nice and listened to our needs. I met the AM & PM managers and both were excellent! We only stayed one night and had to leave and preferred staying about 10 miles away from the beach. I forgot to mention that the parking lot was a block away from the hotel which did not make it convenient. Sorry!

For the price this place is truly amazing! It's right up on the beach, within walking distance to the main strip, beach side there is even a walkway that leads straight up to the boardwalk area, and it is also a short drive from other attractions in the area such as Broadway on the Boardwalk where there is entertainment, shops, rides, a wide range of food options, & also some of the areas popular attractions! I would give 5 stars except some of the amenities need a little improvement. Our sleep room could have been cleaner, our air conditioning couldn't go below 67 I believe which only seemed to be a problem at night the bedroom always seemed to be warmer then the rest of the room, the kids splash pad area didn't work properly, some of the pieces didn't squirt any water, while some other pieces squirt but only a very little bit, and some did squirt ok, the lazy river part of the pool smelled musty like it needed to be cleaned/treated, and also one of the elevators were also out of service. However even with some of those issues I would still go back and o would still recommend them to a friend because their prices in comparison to other hotels near by are great and affordable I did feel like I was safe at this hotel, they do have a locked parking garage, overall it is more clean then not my bed, shower, & kitchen area did appear to be clean, and it is a beach side hotel with a huge convenience of it's location!

Check in was a breeze, the receptionist was very helpful. I didn’t experience any sort of problem with the elevators. The resort had secure entry into the resort and the parking lot, there is a Starbucks cafe on site as well, across the street is a mini market and a liquor store. I stayed in a one bedroom condo, the room was very clean and spacious, it had a huge kitchen with pots and pans, and dining plates, the view of the beach from my room was breathtaking. All staff I encountered during my stay was helpful. They have a lazy pool, hot tub and a 3 ft pool for the kiddies. I really enjoyed my stay.

Check in was a disaster and took for ever… but we liked our room when we got it… the elevators r slow, I guess because they r busy. A plus is the Starbucks connected to the hotel awesome… we r located on the boardwalk which was cool we could walk down and shop or get some dinner… over all pretty good and the staff we encountered was really nice.

I enjoyed my senior week here. The room we had was clean when we showed up and it was just like what we read online. The beds were comfortable to sleep in and nobody really complained about not sleeping well. The dishes were clean and put up nice and neat, the refrigerator was clean and empty. The beds were also stain free and bug free so I was excited about that. The few things that really makes me give it 4 stars is that the room service took a little long due to the rushing of everyone checking out on the same day and a bunch of people checking in. The elevators were slow and packed all morning. The hotel is right in the middle of everything you really can not complain about not having anything to do.

Worst place I ever booked a room in any hotel at Myrtle Beach. I don't know what genius engineer created the layout for this hotel but it sucks! Way overpriced rooms. You spend half your vacation waiting on TWO elevators to get you back and forth from your room. Rooms smelled like cigarettes even though I booked a non smoking room. People down the hall decided they wanted to smoke marijuana in the hotel and the staff did nothing about it. My suggestion is if you must stay at Myrtle Beach find another hotel.

Dated, Dirty, Cigarette Smoke, mobbed. Not my kind of place. We left as soon as we could. We booked a non smoking, Two Double bed Suite with an ocean view. The layout needs some explaining. The decor needs an overhaul, and the housekeeping needs to be replaced. Our bedroom was located off the hallway (not near the ocean view as advertised). We heard the never ending sound of doors slamming all night. I had to sleep on the couch/sleeper just to escape the noise. We had to scrub clean the coffee maker before we could use it. The freezer door (metal part) had a fist print in the door. The carpet was rippled up, basically a tripping hazard. We got out of there as soon as possible. I know this is a lot, and there is more I could say, but i'll just stop at one more word. Don't.

This hotel is pretty nice. The room was incredibly clean and well decorated. Everything was in perfect working order and I loved the layout of the room. We were able to have s one privacy yet still have the family close together. The kitchen had all of the things that we needed so I didn't have to go out and buy extra things. The housekeeping staff was very professional and made sure that we had the items we needed daily and that our room was cleaned if we asked. Iverall, we enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely return in the future. I will also recommend to my friends.

One of the reasons we booked this resort was because of the reviews we saw. Once we got there, we realized we made a mistake. Customer service is not great. Cleanliness of resort is very poor. Original room we got smelled like cigarettes so they switched us to another room. The location was the best part as well as the Starbucks downstairs. Place needs remodeling. Try other options first.

The room is very clean, spacious & very nice! No bugs at all! There are 2 cute balconies with nice views of the street & the beach! The kitchen is a nice size & appliances are all updated! Overall very satisfied with the room! Will stay again & recommend to friends and family!

This place is to go and relax with the recommended family go.

UPDATE: The location of this hotel is NOT a safe spot in Myrtle Beach. Consider hotels several blocks north. However, I did still have a fantastic time during my stay. I stayed here for my first ever vacation, and this has been wonderful. The staff is friendly, the room is clean and well maintained, and it is exactly what I was expecting.

Changed rooms 3 times in 2 days, the 1st night the room staked so bad. But this lady Natasha was so helpful and friendly and got things on track and she was security just helping out. We had to wait after reservation 45 min. Walked up 9 floors elevators over packed and waiting 30 mins or more for one. And the rooms are not clean and furniture needs an update bad. No coffee or cups the mirrors and black appliances were wiped off with something dirty. Just take time out to clean around the bed w/ a vacuum cleaner. That was late year those pictures I added 5/5/18

We stayed her for 4 days end on March by recommendation of friends, and I must say it was a nice experience. Check in was a little congested but staff was friendly and attentive to every customer needs. My kids enjoyed the indoor pool as we needed the pool as the weather was cool. Had a 3 bedroom oceanfront view suite, but was not informed that the 3rd bedroom was a separate suite of it's own with a very limited side view. Rooms could use a little bit more modernization, new furniture and bigger T. V's. Curtains definitely need cleaning or replacing and carpet was stained quite a bit.

Went here for a weekend mid April. The rooms were clean enough and fairly priced. The parking was another street over which kind of sucked but wasn't a huge issue. What really made it a crappy stay was the other people in the hotel. Loud music all day and evening, arguing and fighting all night. They gladly switched our room to get away from one crowd just to be next to another. One morning there was someone passed out in the hall and you couldn't get away from the stench of weed. Definitely will not be back to this hotel.

The location is alittle scary, but overall I liked the hotel. It was scary walking through the pool room that was filled with almost one hundred filthy, obnoxious, rude people. After that I did not swim the rest of my vacation which was upsetting. Many non smart children and even adults were just running around like it was some zoo, while my family and I were just trying to enjoy our vacation. Took almost 10 minuets to get on the elevators because it was so crowded with people who quite frankly have no manners. The beach was nice not a lot of people down there all day which was good. But my family paid a lot to come down here and overall for this vacation but it was definitely ruined by the overall amount of gross & obnoxious people. They basically thought they owned the place and over through it… but the boy at front desk was nice and our house keeping lady was good. There was a lady staff member cleaning the windows on the doors and while she wouldn’t let us go out the door she also sprayed all of us with her window cleaner.

Talk about ruining a vacation! Me and my family travel to Myrtle Beach twice a year and if we don't stay here both times we at least do once, but this is definitely going to be our last time here. Upon arriving last night the young lady behind the desk was very polite and got us squared away in our 2 bedroom suite. The sheets were dirty but that's not an issue. We called down received cleaned sheets and the kids were good to go. They had such a great time last night that we decided to stay an extra day. Called down to the front desk to ask for a later check out time (while we planned out our day) the young lady (clearly different from last night) stated that they don't offer later check out. I knew this wasn't accurate because I not only asked last night but I have requested late check out here before. Granted rules change I sent my husband downstairs to check and she stated to him that they could only do it if no one reserved our room already. She stated it was already reserved and we couldn't get it. (still not a problem) I gathered my children out of the pool and quickly rushed to get them together to check out. I then booked again and asked could I check in early and was told there were no rooms available at the moment and that she would call me when something was available. My husband asked to speak with a manager and she replied trust me there's nothing we can do instead of getting a manager as requested.

The hotel was nice & staff was friendly but the noise from the construction outside our door along (we wasn’t told about the construction at check in) with kids beating on doors after 11pm. Not to mention our bed felt like we was sleeping on cardboard. My husband and I came on vacation to relax and sleep and enjoy ourselves. Edna.

Nice place for family holidays. Fun and enjoyable.

Basic. Relatively clean but maid did not come for 2 days… had to call the front desk and complain. Young woman at the reception was so professional and efficient. The parking garage is secure but their speed bumps getting in and out are ridiculously large and if you have a sports car you are bound to bottom out. Generally a comfortable stay all in all. Watch for the extra charges per day, around an extra 15 dollars per day.

We had a nice room with a beautiful view, but the elevators weren't all working so the wait for one took forever. The staff was friendly the room was clean. Close to all the shops and lots of dinning places. Overall I would stay again.

My husband & I just returned home after a 2 night stay to celebrate my birthday at Bay View and we instantly fell in love with this hotel resort! Ironically my husband booked this resort by accident, after traveling from NC to MB we realized instead of booking at our usual "Baywatch" we booked "Bay View" tired and hungry we decided to try it and I'm glad we did. The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, our room was wonderful and the location is convenient to many of the places we normally visit. Our only negative experience was we couldn't enjoy the indoor pools and hot tub because the chlorine smell was extremely strong but other than that no complaints, we will most definitely book again!

Rented a two bedroom oceanfront. As soon as I walked in, it smelled slightly like rotten potato peels. The carpet had stains, and the furniture was in pretty rough shape. The view from balcony was excellent, but I would not stay here again due to the lack of cleanliness and unkempt and outdated room. There was a French fry left on the floor that was there when we walked in. We found a comb (from a previous guest) that was on the floor beside the bed. Also found hair in the sink and in the shower. I’m just glad that I paid off season pricing. Next time I’ll spend another $40 or so and go somewhere else. I should have listened to the other critical reviews but I try to be open minded and assume that maybe the critical reviewer just had an unusually bad experience. Live and learn, I guess. In defense of the resort, they called immediately upon this posting and attempted to move us to another room to make things right. There is much to be said for management that will make immediate contact like that. I did turn down the offer to move to another room because my wife already had laundry in and we didn’t feel it would be worth the effort to make the change.

What a great location! Right on the beach … with a great view. The only real downfall is that the parking garage is a block away … but a little walking doesn't hurt much.

Beautiful scenery from our room! Amazing room service and clean rooms! We stayed for 2 weeks and I would LOVE to visit again! And the resort is directly on the beach! It was simply amazing!

I appreciate the attempt at garage security, it probably does protect some, although someone could follow a car in, break into cars and then walk right out. Still, it's a better effort than many other properties. Rooms were big enough, clean and had a good view. Mostly quiet, although some people are loud even when they whisper. Pools were nice but freezing. Hot tub was hot but crowded because the pools were freezing. Conveniently located to downtown attractions, prostitutes and drug dealers but I carry a gun so wasn't overly concerned. Avoid Chester Street.

We stayed in the penthouse suite in November and it was wonderful. It looked exactly as pictured and we had lots of fun. The Lazy river and pool was fun and clean. I only gave 4 stars because of the construction building next door. Its an eye soar. But they mention that when we reserved it so understandable.

Great location, slightly dated rooms, pillows are just horrendous. They are the thickest, least ergonomic monster pillows I've ever had the displeasure of not using. Seriously, after first night's attempt it was better to just skip the pillow all together. They are a neck ache waiting to happen. Lack of breakfast is a downer but not a big deal, the pool is tiny, so is the lazy river. View from our hotel room was excellent. Overall it was a pretty decent experience. I seriously had to deduct a star for the pillows. They are just that bad. (apparently they are new too, wonder who made that horrible call)

To be fair, it has been 7 months since I stayed at the Bay View. When I stayed, it was under construction but, I will say that other than seeing the exterior under construction, you would never even know. The staff was very accommodating. I will say that the rooms felt a little outdated, but they were very clean. My room was a family suite of 2 rooms with a shared kitchen and living space. Four beds, a pull out sofa, 3 televisions and a balcony with an ocean view, but we did not spend a lot of time in the room… The hotel was right on the beach, near the boardwalk, and had an indoor pool with a lazy river. I never used either though, because there were alot of families staying in the hotel and the pool was always filled with children. The hotel offers off the street parking in a private parking deck but it is a bit of a walk from the parking deck to the hotel. The Bay View is located in a busy area (obviously, right? ) and it is in walking distance (about a mile) to the strip with restaurants and souvenir shops. It was a 5 or 10 minute drive to nearby attractions, we went to Ripley's Aquarium and Ripley's glass bottom boat. My stay was good, I would stay here again.

We stayed in a ocean front, 3 bed room Condo. The layout was Great! It had a large living area with a full kitchen, washer/dryer and one of the bedrooms was separated from the rest. It had a small bar area with a mini fridge. We have stayed here in the past and it was really nice.

We have always stayed here and have never had a problem until this visit. First let me say that Wanda at the front desk is the greatest. Upon entering the room everything seemed fine but as soon as we got our carts unloaded we spotted 2 dead roaches. The room was dusty so we just thought that no one had been in it for a while so that’s why it had the dead roaches. Well we killed roaches daily, we stayed 3 nights in an oceanfront condo and killed a total of 8 roaches. Of course no other rooms were available. We had to basically beg to get our room cleaned. Erick at the front desk told me they only clean the rooms every three days. So after several calls they finally sent someone to clean the room at 6pm. They came at 4:30pm the next day after several calls to the front desk. We were really disappointed with our stay this time. They really need to exterminate and if they cleaned the rooms daily that might help too.

We had room 808-A and stayed three nights (10/20-10/23) and everything was great. Nice staff. Loved the full kitchen in our oceanfront condo. The only reason I gave it four stars was the parking garage's location which is like two blocks over.

We loved it! Our room was clean, spacious and had an awesome view. The staff was so nice and willing to help with every need. We enjoyed the pool and lazy river. You never know what kind of weather in late October. But the pool area was just right. No matter the weather. Thanks bayview resort! We will be back.

Nice facilities. Rooms are a decent size, but were not totally clean. Staff, friendly and helpful. Nice amenities. Did not get our room cleaned either day we were there (to be honest one of those days was our fault). Awesome view of ocean and beach.

I was originally scheduled to stay at Dayton House the week of Sept. 11, but due to the uncertainty of Hurricane Irma, I called explained my reasons for postponing to the week of 9/18/17. The staff was happy to assist and rescheduled me for the same room the following week. When I arrived the room wasn't ready but I was greeted immediately and offered the use of all facilities. The ocean front suite was very nice, no problems at all, the pool, lazy river and ocean access are all excellent. Easy access to dining as well as shopping. Excellent choice for the family or as a quick get away. Excellent value and I will be back!

We first got here and we were very pleased. Very affordable (compared to our home state vacation spot) and looked to be quite clean and nice. We spent one night, woke up and went shopping and came back to our room clean. We checked our belongings and $500 in cash was gone! Safe was not working properly and gave us an error code when we tried to set it up, so we tried to hide everything as best as possible. The front desk really didn't seem to care at all. We called the police and file a report, everything. They said she was one of their longest house keepers and she wouldn't do that. Like really… I don't care how long someone has worked here, anyone is capable of theft! We checked out and got a refund. I would say to make sure the safe works and make sure to use it!

Located between pier 2 and 14. Not too far either way. I like the walkway boardwalk better than the wooden. Just my preference. Staff was friendly. Room clean. Fridge died… but they are fixing that… plenty of parking. An outside pool would be nice, but other that that we have no complaints.

This is my second time staying at this resort. I'm tired of the people writing reviews like they stay at 5 star resorts and know what they're talking about. The elevators are fine and move quickly. The rooms are clean. The front desk is personable and nice. One of the cleaning staff asked how we were doing good and was friendly. And are kids, just like any other resort. So there might be some water in the lobby from the pool. This place is great for the price! I'll be back here again.

We stayed in a private condo with Elliott's rental. There is no outdoor pool. Ok. But the noise of 50+ people inside their tiny indoor pool area will run you out or crazy. They allowed anything to go on while in the pool area and the smell wasn't chlorine but horrid. Nice splash pad area to cool off in and some lawn furniture. Not handicap friendly at all to get to the beach. You will wait for elevators and once on it will be a long ride full of stops on most floors. No ac and hot in the common areas. Not the worst place if good weather but for rainy days it is. If planning a trip be sure not to stay on the side they're constructing a hotel. Lots of noise starting at 630am and there is zero side view anymore.

Absolutely love it here and don't want to leave. We got an oceanfront condo. It was incredibly clean when we came in. Staff is friendly and helpful, they give advice on the attractions. Unfortunately check-in was a little crazy because there isn't much room to pull in. We love the parking garage though. Just a short walk away from the hotel. The pool is small but still fun. AMAZING view from our room. Love the ocean! Would definitely stay here again!

My family and I stayed in a very clean and spacious suite, no complaints with any of the appliances, the beds were clean and the sheets smelled great, bathrooms were stocked with plenty of towels and the room was quite comfortable, my only complaint was lack of luggage carts while checking in, and very long waits for the elevators, if you don't plan on going to and from your room a lot, this is the PERFECT place to bring the whole family! I loved the Starbucks downstairs, and everything seems so clean, no major health concerns, not even for my little 2 month old nephew.

As much as I have to say I'll keep it short and sweet. This is by far the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. And I work in customer service! The stay is absolutely not worth the crap I've had to deal with here. Disgustingly awful.

Stayed 4 nights great price and new carpet in my room. The place is locked down must use your key for every door in the building and the parking garage A++. Love my view had a condo D 2 bedroom.

Dirty comforter, gross surfaces, hair on floor, old and slow elevators. Looked nothing like pictures online. Outside portion was nice and in a great location. Parking was convenient and shaded in a garage.

This was our second stay at the Bay View on the Boardwalk. I must say that we have been pleased with each of our stays. The accommodations are very comfortable, like being at home. Room was clean and housekeeping made sure that it remained that way throughout our stay. Bay View was recommended by family who stay here each time they come to Myrtle Beach (they have been staying at this hotel over 3 years). To me, that says something about Bay View. Also, I absolutely LOVE the convenience of the Boardwalk. Looking forward to our next trip.

I loved it. Elevators are slow though lol. But a very clean establishment. Very family orientated. The parking lot is almost the best part. It's a gate closing from the top secured parking deck with key access your car will be protected.

Being a single dad of a 5 year old daughter and having very limited time to get a vacation with her my time with her is extremely valuable to me and words alone can NOT express how pleased I was with my stay at the Bay View Resort! Yes by all means Myrtle Beach is an excellent spot but just as importantly so is the hotel one chooses to call home while away. Location is so very good to the many attractions of Myrtle Beach and I can not express enough how wonderful and helpful the staff of the Bay View are. You think I like this place? LOL I look forward to many more visits to this wonderful family resort.

My husband and I winter at Myrtle Beach and have found the Bay View Resort to be a great fit for us. The location is great for us to walk everyday and the staff is so friendly and make us feel like family. The security is excellent and rooms are clean and comfortable. We have made many new friends from both the U. S. And Canada and are excited to return next year.

Hotel was clean and the staff was great. The elevators were a little s l o w. We prefer a hotel with a restaurant/bar/grill of some type. The Starbucks was always crowded. There are multiple restaurants with in walking distance. Our daughter enjoyed the indoor pool and lazy river. Overall a great trip!

Stayed at Bayview for spring break, the location is so convenient. Stayed in an Ocean front room and it was a beautiful view. It was incredibly affordable as well. I would recommend it to anyone on a budget going on Spring break or just any trip in General.

Decent beds, spacious suite, awesome view of barge working off the coast. Close to 2nd Ave pier, old school cruising area, and sits along the new boardwalk beach trail. Would have liked to have nicer bedding and an on site restaurant. Great for the kid as the pool area was turnt up! Was spring break and prom weekend and the hotel was still under control… although the elevator situation could get a little hectic. All in all a nice stay on the Redneck Riviera.

Overall I am extremely satisfied with this resort. There is a parking garage close by that is only used for bay view resort people. It is well lit and I a 22y/o female felt safe walking to and from the building to the resort. The view is amazing from the ocean front suite, the staff is extremely friendly and the rooms are clean. Amazing deal and located in the strip!

My husband and I stayed at Bay View for the first time in February 2016. We vacation in Myrtle Beach each year, and decided to leave our "regular spot" to try someplace new. We decided on Bay View based on online reviews and positive experiences from friends. We were very satisfied with our decision. It is safe to say we have found out new regular spot. The rooms were very clean and the staff were extremely helpful. There was road construction going on during our stay by the city and Bay View went above and beyond in navigating through the inconvenience. We were very satisfied with all aspects of our stay.

Lots of people checking in at the same time made for a bit of a traffic jam but staff stayed professional and was very efficient. Room was very nice, big, up to date and we enjoyed our city view. Construction out front should be done soon but it was never an issue. Parking garage is a block away but easy to get in out of. Never had any concerns getting back and forth. Go — enjoy!

Enjoyed my 4 days with my spouse. The hotel was reasonable and the location was close to all the attractions we were interested in visiting. The staff was pleasant and even helped since it was our first time there. The room was just what we needed. We enjoyed our stay and will visit again.

If you decide to get a room here DONT get a Standard Room with an adjorning Suite occupied by another hotel guest. I didnt know until I got to room and the other guest started cooking. The AC vents are connected between the 2 rooms and whenever I used the AC you can ell what they are cooking and how often they burn their cooking at home. And the smell lingers all 2 days I was there. They obviously cooked all their meals in that room. Good thing I had a nice oceanfront view with a sliding glass door and warm outdoor temps because that door stayed open the entire time. Also in your Standard room theres no place to sit other than the edge of your bed. Thats right no couch or table in the room. The room has a decent size mini fridge and microwave with a small sink. Overall the room was and bathroom was clean but that strong lingering cooking smell was bad. They give you a Redbox like pass to checkout a movie one at a time from the lobby. The indoor pool area was crowded. The best part of the room was the ocean view and constant waves splashing onshore. Good location to boardwalk and other interest. I may have had a more positive experience if I didnt book the standard room but now I know. Cannot wait to checkout tomorrow.

It's the only place I stay when I go. Never had an issue. Rooms are amazing and the 2 balcony oceanview suites come with full kitchen, washer and dryer and either queens or king for beds. Starbucks is attached to the hotel and you are literally on the beach. Steps from boardwalk (2 min walk). Love this place.

My husband booked this room for my birthday. KUDOS to him for all his hard work. But shame on Bay View Resorts. The hotel is strategically placed on the Beach, but their parking is not so strategically placed across the street on the next block. Their is no walk way, so I had to walk in mud (because it rained) in my new shoes to get to the parking deck. We felt very unsafe traveling from our car to the hotel because their were a lot of just random people standing in dark areas. My room had TWO baby roaches. YUCK! This hotel advertises all their special add-on's such as free aquarium tickets, DVD rentals, Starbucks, Grand Prix race car tickets. Amazing right! Well when I get to the Front Desk they tell me the Aquarium Tickets are only for the spring and their current promotion is the Grand Prix Race Track. I was disappointed by accepting. GUESS WHAT! My husband and I arrive at the Grand Prix Race Track and THE GATES WERE LOCKED, and the establishment was closed. I call the front desk and after multiple transfers and call holds a Front Desk Attendant named Brittany answers the phone. I explain to her the problem asking for a room discount or some compensation for their False advertising! She has the audacity to say the promotions are FREE and offered through a third party Vendor which does not affect our price. She often rudely interrupted my conversation with a non-caring attitude.

Enjoyed a great 3 day stay in a 3 bedroom 3 bath ocean front condo. For anyone who may be disabled or like myself in a wheelchair, I am a large Quadriplegic guy in a power chair and didn't have any trouble getting around in our large condo even though it wasn't listed as a handicap accessible and door ways very wide also at least 3 of the 4 elevators are very large. Great location right on the boardwalk close to everything. Clean rooms, nice kitchen, friendly staff, they have a handicap accessible lift to assist with indoor pool transfers an outside pool would be nice a addition but, I guess that's what the ocean is for. Having said that we look forward to our next trip and stay at Bay View Resort.

Stayed with my husband and 5 kids in a 2 bedroom suite and it was AMAZING! The amenities in the room were great and so was the housekeeping staff. The free internet and free movie rentals were an added bonus. The pool for the kids and the beach out the back doors was super convenient. I absolutely love this place and am already planning for next year!

This place was awesome! My kids were in love with the pool area which featured a lazy river, hot tub, pool and outdoor splash area! They didn't even want to leave the resort! Walking distance from the beach and the view of the ocean from our bedroom window was breath taking! My husband and I throughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back! The staff was friendly and attentive! The rooms were comfortable and clean! So many great things to say out this establishment!

Let me first off start by saying that my family and I have frequented this resort for the past 3 seasons, and this will definitely be our last. Upon checking in, I had the displeasure of encountering a very rude clerk. My 4 year old son is autistic and tends to have unprovoked crying spells on occasion. Well, unfortunately one of these spells occurred as we were checking in. Now before I get into detail, let me emphasize that I do understand how hectic this time of the year can be for the staff when folks are checking in to a busy resort in a beach town in the middle of summer. I managed a hotel in Indiana for 17 years, so I can understand a little bit. However when my son started crying, the clerk immediately started rolling her eyes at me and my wife. We apologized and tried to explain his disability to her, and to my disbelief as she walked away from the desk, she started snickering with a fellow employee while looking at my boy and didn't do a very good job at concealing it. I was appalled at what I just witnessed, and we immediately left. I believe her name was Brittany. I think she was in her mid twenties with dirty blonde hair. We just thought the proprietors of the establishment would like to know. There will be no need for correspondence or an apology, as we will never be returning back.

Just got back home to Indiana from a wonderful vacation in Myrtle Beach! We stayed in an oceanfront room with our 16 yr old son. Room was clean upon arriving, plenty of towels etc. The room was cleaned every day before noon. Never saw a single bug, bathroom was spotless. We are pretty picky people and the only complaint I would have would be the elevators, but, some of that is due to some people seemingly bringing their whole house with them. :-). We've stayed at plenty of oceanfront hotels/condos and the elevator issue is just something that you have to deal with when you have a 19 story bldg. The pool area is small but when you have a ocean, it's more than enough. The spray pad was a lot of fun, even for us adults. We would definitely consider staying here again. Bonus, ring side seats on our balcony for the fireworks our last night there!

Bay View is great for kids. The whole pool area is kid friendly with the pool only going to 4 ft and the colorful outside sprinkler area. The manager Cory was very nice and they keep the place clean. Very happy with my recent trip.

One ice machine for 18 floors of guests? Kidding me right? Thing is ALWAYS out of ice, if you can ever find it (elevator plaque says next to pool, another elevator says floors 2 and 14. The thing is on 17th floor! A guest had to tell us). Cockroaches out on the balconies, bring a fly swatter to kill them and than toss them off he edge (watch out kids on the splash pad, haha! ). Be ready to wash your dishes before you use them for the first time, fricken nasty. Indoor pool is tiny as hell and only 4ft deep, and their 'lazy river' pool is always filled with annoying teens trying to kill each other. 4 elevators, usually one or two of them are always broken, so expect to wait around a lot, 5mins or more either way. I enjoyed having our own secured parking ramp, but didnt like walking across two streets to get to it, and I also liked the ocean view, but we could have gotten the same view for cheaper.

On top of not having my room ready for me when I had checked in at about 4:30pm, and being overly RUDE and INATTENTIVE, the room was dirty. The dishes weren't done, there was water in the sink, and there was hair in the bathroom that was CLEARLY not mine or my friends. I had tried to look past these slightly more than minor, disturbing encounters. When walking into my bedroom, however, I thought I saw something running across the floor. I had followed it to what turned out to be cockroaches eating a slice of molded pizza crust. I can handle dirty. I can handle rude. What I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT handle is multiple bugs near where I rest my head at night. My friend and I then promptly had told the front desk that we will not be staying there for the night, weekend, or at all. I have e-mailed the hotel and the hotel manager. I STILL have not received anything back from either one of them.

Very nice place to stay! They have a lazy river, a pool, a bunch of stuff for kids and a nice hottub to relax in. They have a kiosk where you can rent movies for free! The room was nice and clean I'm definitely coming back next year.

My family (2 adults and 2 kids 4yrs and 9mo) stayed in the sunset suite from 5/28 to 6/4. We didnt do enough research and didnt realize there is NO room service so that was a bummer. Their is a list of rules/information in the room that states loud noise is not tolerated but that's a lie since I was woken up by people screaming from the balcony and outside on the circle drive each night. The room itself was big but housekeeping is a joke! I myself during MY vacation had to vacuum and sweep because all housekeeping did was make your bed and give you towels and thats if they even came at all! The room wasn't even properly cleaned when we arrived I had to wipe dirt and food off the walls and tables. To me that is beyond unacceptable considering how much we paid. The pool and starbucks were enjoyable. The security guys were very friendly. The elevators are the worst. You will wait more than 5min each time. My advice is to do a lot of research before you book a hotel.

If u love walking out on your balcony smelling pot or better yet in the hallway mind you I had 2 small childRen with me yelling what is that smell. How about thick nasty hair in the green pool. Or washing dishes before use because they were never cleaned before arrival correctly. Or getting a bug bite after a crappy night of sleep that u get a rash over more than half of your body then this is the hotel for u. Me on the other hand will never return and will not recommend to anyone every again.

Had a wonderful time at the Bayview Resort. We have stayed at several other hotels but nothing is Bayview. I just hate the elevators they suck. The other thing that sucked was in the 1 bed room with 2 balconies is you have the doors open the beds are right under the vents so water drips on you. Then the housekeeper we had was lazy our floor was greasy. My mother had a 2 bedroom ocean front I loved her room it was perfect so was her housekeeper lol. But other then that this is a wonderful resort I will be returning 5/27/2015.

Me and my husband stayed 2 nights there and it was great! Front desk was wonderful and my room was very clean and the view was beautiful! Only thing was a little annoying was the elevator was a slow. But they are in process of building another one. All and All I had a great time and I will be staying there again.

My fiance and I stayed one night during the New Years holiday and absolutely love our stay. This accounts for our 2nd time stay here in the Myrtle Beach area. I definitely recommend this resort during the winter months if anyone is trying to avoid traffic and need a little bit of rest and relaxation after the holidays. The only inconvenience was the parking deck id not attached to the main entrance, so you have to walk across the street to get to your car. At this present time the state were working on the boulevard and there's a lot of construction going on. Let's hope all is repaired in time for the summer months or else there's going to be mayhem.

We had an ocean front suite. The room was very nice upon first glance. We had hot water. The view of the ocean was amazing. However, we ran across a few issues. First, upon walking into the suite, there was a hole in the wall at the entrance and there was a maintenance guy in the room (unsure about what was fixed). Second, there was hair in the bathroom, specifically in the corner and on the walls and the mirrors weren't clean. Third, some of the dishes weren't clean. Fourth, there were hard clumps of detergent powder in one of the compartments. Lastly, we found condom wrappers in the pull-out couch. Other than those minor issues that could be fixed with proper supervision, everything was fine.

The view was beautiful, but the "B" Suites are unable to control the thermostat. Our room reached 80 degrees. It would seem like a great idea to just open the slider glass door, but the construction of the new pier was so loud that we were unable to keep the door open. From the 18th floor we were unable to hear the ocean waves. The lazy river is the size of a donut, and the elevators are being worked on. Leaving on two operational. We had to call and ask for a shower curtain, as our room lacked one. We loved vacationing at Myrtle Beach during the winter, but we won't be returning to the BayView Resort.

DON'T DO THIS! I have NEVER complained before, but. The wife wanted to see some shows at MB, so we made reservations at the Bay View "Resort". Room was so tiny there was not room for a table or chair. Sit on the bed. Arrived on 12/15 and attempted to take a nap. BAPBAPBAP! Jackhammers remodeling the elevator. No hot water. In order to get to the parking garage, you have to stumble through a work zone in the street, past a motel across the street being "remodeled" (picture scrap wood, plywood, thrown away furniture, derelicts using the furniture and plywood as temporary housing), cross a second street, THEN arrive at the parking garage. Morning of 12/16, still no hot water, took cold shower and went to see the sights. Came home before going to Alabama. No maid service (thinking that a mistake was made, but didn't want to cause problems, we said nothing). Went to Alabama, let the wife out at the "Resort", parked the car, ran the gauntlet back to the "resort". 12/17 still no hot water, maid knocks on the door, and I ask her to come back in 20 minutes. Maintenance arrives, and says there are not many guests at the "resort", so let the water run, and it will heat up. Spent the day at NMB, no sense in trying to take a nap with the jackhammer still active in the afternoon. Arrive back at "resort" at 5PM, and the maid has NOT been in the room! TWO DAYS AND STILL NO MAID SERVICE! Front desk sends lady up with fresh towels who apologizes profusely, and off to The Opry we go.

Bay view was our first family vacation and it was great. We checked in around 1300 hours and the fun started at hello welcome to Bayview, then I found out that they had a Star Buck's. We loved it and will see you all soon.

Been here many times! During the summer it gets super packed (as does everywhere else) but the service was pretty good. We had an Ocean Front condo the last two times we went and LOVED IT! Beautiful view of both the city and ocean. Will be back for sure! :).
