Good staff service, good breakfast.

Me and my 2 year old and friend was visiting to go the theme park! I was bite up by bed bugs! Me and my 2 year old had to sleep sitting up in the office chair in the room. The lady at the front desk came change the sheets and sprayed the room with alcohol and they still came out all over the fresh sheets and I ended up getting bite up due to her telling me they didn’t have any rooms available! Please be cautious.

Friendly staff, always willing to help, John and Jasmin helped us out a lot. Definitely would come back and stay here. The room were nice, need some more lighting but otherwise clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good but the best was the woman who was making everything, she made sure you had what you wanted. Good location, near a lot of store and restaurants and of course right next to Carowinds Amusement Park!

Very friendly staff just like last time I stayed.

We stayed Saturday night because of a power outage. Checked in and when we got to the room the door was already opened, the bathroom was not cleaned and we were charged for pillows we never took?! Over all I’m upset at the fact I was charged for something I did not take.

The whole staff were so helpful. Tonya & Stephanie go above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable. My family will definitely come back here in the future.

Just got here a few hours ago but appears to go to have a nice breakfast bacon eggs sausage ham Seems like a very decent motel! Actually looks like the sheets beddng are change not just made! lol.
Plenty of restaurants nearby and a cabelas Only a few 100 yd!

What a great place! Very clean and upscale and the customer service is amazing! Will definitely make this a further stay for years to come!

The hotel staff was extremely friendly! The main elevator was out and the water pressure was not great. But the room was clean and the staff was very helpful.

Great staff! Friendly and very helpful! We stay in Comfort Inns all the time, going from Florida to New Hampshire, and back. This has got to be the best one by far. Nice and clean, and plenty of parking! And the perfect location, near everthing! We will make this Comfort Inn to be a regular place to stop! Keep up the good work!

Honestly one of the worst stats I've ever had in a motel. Extremely pricey room which cost $350+ for only 2 nights that we reserved 3 and a half months ago, at which point I was told that they do not provide military discounts and do not charge pet fees (both of which says differently online from Comfort Inn main site). I was told upon pointing out difference in rates that it's cheaper to reserve online and that they fluctuate prices daily so apparently there is no reward for reserving months ahead of time. The room was filthy, had no smoke detectors, had damage throughout room, and the A/C only worked half the time the way it was supposed to. Even after all that we were charged different amounts for the items from their "pantry" than the prices posted, such as $3/per bottle of water vs. The $1.50 posted (I was told this was due to demand… it was 12 a. M. And lots of water bottles left). To be clear, I have always enjoyed staying at Comfort Inns and will continue to when available and even would like to again at this location if they can address these downfalls and attempt to make it right with me as this was far below acceptable standards especially for a room considered a suite. Look at the pics attached for proof!

Dirty-Got a room on second floor and there was food on the floor and an item of dirty clothing in window sill. The bathroom smelled like dirty feet and was very small. We asked for a different room and got one on first floor poolside. This room smelled like dogs. The sliding door to pool would barely open and the pool patio was dirty. Not a good experience & definitely not worth $100/night!

Nice, recently renovated hotel that's the closest to Carowinds theme park. Friendly staff, good breakfast with spacious seating area, and clean, well-kept rooms with microwave, refrigerator, flat-panel TV, work desk, and pretty good Wi-Fi. I'd recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Carowinds. The walk to the park is about 0.75 miles, which may or may not be feasible depending on weather. Several restaurants and convenience stores are nearby, and the hotel is just off the I-77 Carowinds exit.

We checked into this hotel after a nearby Quality Inn was to disgusting for us to stay. The person at the front desk was extremely nice and accommodating. All rooms that allow pets were on the first floor which was nice. A very quite area and we felt safe taking our small dog out late at night. The only issue was that the room had central air. It was set at 68 degrees and the room stayed at 78. After the first night we notified the front desk and they said they would come look once we left for the day as it requires climbing in the ceiling. After we returned it was no cooler. When I called back down they offered us the room next door. We checked that room out and it was much cooler, however there was a long strand of hair in the bath tub and what appeared to be tooth paste on the sink which I wasn’t about. I informed them it may need cleaned again and that we would stay where we are. We had another great night. The front desk called the morning of check out and informed they would take care of us in a generous way for our troubles with the AC. I’ll stay here again on my next visit.

This is your basic no-frills hotel directly adjacent to Carowinds & an easy place to find right off of the interstate. Perfectly adequate since you're only going to sleep here after all-day park visits. Our room overlooked a nice pool, beds were comfortable. My experience has been that it's clean, quiet, and staff are very personable. You can't beat the location if you intend to go to Carowinds. We had no negative issues at all, but we weren't expecting anything fancy. I didn't get to try their complimentary breakfast but other reviewers have been positive, especially since it's more than just continental breakfast with pastries and juice.

Very nice hotel that is underrated as a two-star. Clean, pleasant. Great location right near the NC/ SC border on I-77. Has ample room for parking larger vehicles. We had a great stay.

Staff were great! Friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety of choices. Rooms and breakfast area were very clean and comfortable. Centrally located. The only downside was the planes you could hear late into the night. We don't live near any airport, so this was new to us. Not bad enough to keep us awake long though. Will consider staying here in the future.

The hotel was in a very convinient location, that is if you plan on going to Carowinds, in fact we ended up walking there the next day which saving us the parking costs. Other than that there's really no problem with this hotel. Its pretty usual; free breakfast, comfortable beds, and a nice tv. Overall a stantard hotel and DEFINITELY somewhere you should stay if you're going to Carowinds.

Staff is nice, but not helpful. I went all morning asking for a shower curtain. Asked 3 different people: housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance. Afterwards just decided to skip it because too much time had been wasted. Breakfast is below average. Rooms are okay. One elevator makes getting anywhere in the morning quickly impossible. However, this is right next to Carowinds. I was riding a coaster at 10pm, checked in by 10:15pm.

Real breakfast with eggs, toast, sausage, etc. Rooms were clean. Digital safe in room did not work. Tub drained slow. Beds were comfortable and linens were clean. Across the street and 5 minute walk to Carowinds Park. Recommended.

My family was staying there for a night to go to Carowinds. It's walking distance to the park, which is very nice! They were able to get us two rooms right next to each other, which was gr8, and the free breakfast in the morning was amazing. The fruit was fresh and they had several different kinds of pastries, including different flavours of waffle batter.

I actually did not get a chance to stay here because I was not able to check in before 3 o'clock so I cancel my reservations and selected Quality Inn across the road from them the 20 bucks left. I was able to check in at 5:30 and at 1 o'clock compared to 3 o'clock. Other than that I believe the hotel itself it's great and is in a key location where you can practically walk from the parking lot to Carowinds. The receptionist was very generous and understanding of my cancellation and did not make me feel awkward I appreciate it for my cancellation.

First, let me say that the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed to visit Carowinds and had driven all the way from PA. We arrived early but they allowed us to check in any which was great. Ghey also helped us get discounted Carowinds tickets. With that being said I would like to warn anyone of the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom. The shelf in the shower had 4 opened and used bars of soap sitting on them. This tells me the shower hadn't been cleaned for at least 4 nights or stays. Gross. Also, the bathroom floor had hair all over it. The bedroom area was nice and clean enough. But the state of the bathroom ruined it. If you need somewhere to stay cor carowinds for a night or two, this place is okay. Just beware of the shower!

The rioms at Comfort in are very specious and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. There was a wide variety for breakfast and it all tasted fresh!

Best location possible foe visit to Carowinds. Clean, comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast spread. Will be returning.

We were bewildered by the poor quality of the hotel, services and lack of cleanliness. First of the control remote was not working for the tv, the refrigerator was not working either. They did not have ice on the same floor and the room was very outdated. Please save your money and find a beter hotel.

Really nice place with a view of the roller coasters. New beds, upgraded rooms and lobby, and the staff was working hard to keep the place perfect. Way better than I had expected.

Nasty hotel rooms covered up with paint to hide mold, water damaged floor broads and other filth that's underneath. Housekeepers are lazy and rude never stayed over at a hotel and was denied room service because I'm staying over I had to change my own sheets and clean my own room oh also vacuum my own floor but some do work hard for their minimum wage, kitchen staff Mary in the morning very nasty and rude attitude I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody even if it was the last choice my advice sleep in your car before you stay here. But like it was said to me many years ago buy. Cheap get cheap…

Pet friendly with a $25.00 fee. Stephanie was a very sweet person at the front desk. Very helpful. She needs to work at a nicer place. 1. Television did not work. She immediately offers to move us. 2. Greasy butt print on bathroom door. 3. Unknown brown dirt at base of tub. 4. Sheets and quilt filthy and had to be changed. 5. One pillow case had stains. For a place that is newly remodeled, it looks more like they just tried to paint it and call it a day. Woke up to a nice surprise of having an additional 20% taken off our bill due to the cleanliness issues. That was unsolicited, and quite a nice surprise.

We reserved our room through Priceline for Thanksgiving night, didn't exactly know what to expect, and were pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious, well decorated, and pet friendly. Beds were so comfortable, slept like a baby. Check-in clerk was extremely helpful.

We booked a room for 7/7/15 to 7/9/15 so we could take our kids to Carowinds. We booked thru Expedia. We checked in about 3 pm and checked out at 4:45 pm the same day! This was the most DISGUSTING hotel I have ever seen! The pool was so filthy that I think you would have gotten sick if you dared to get into it and the filter didn't even work! On the wall next to the bed was dried, caked on SNOT! My husband went to the front desk to complain and was told that the hotel had been very busy the previous weekend and they didn't have enough staff to clean the room properly! This was Tuesday when we got there… I guess they just forgot! PLEASE. Don't book anything at this filthy, disgusting hotel. There are some very nice hotels in this area, we found a Fairfield Inn on Arrowood Road and it was immaculate. The staff there were so very nice and the breakfast was hot and very good. This hotel was only 10 minutes from Carowinds and well worth the very small drive to the park! Expedia needs to actually inspectthe hotels they do business with. I will never use Expedia again or Comfort Inn!

The hotel is not kept up very well. Some rooms had black plastic covering the windows and some rooms were being used as storage rooms for mattresses. Most of all, MAKE SURE you get a parking pass when you check in and place it in your windshield or they will tow your car away or lock your wheels! While I was there they towed at least 6 cars and wheel locked about 10 vehicles.

Not bad. Good price and awesome Wi-Fi. My biggest problem was the hot water wasn't hot. I want to take a hot soak and it never got over lukewarm. Also their website says they have truck parking as well as the receptionist when I called but it would be very difficult if not impossible to get a sleeper cab with a 53er in the parking without jumping curbs or worse. Thank goodness we were bobtail.

Nice rooms and most of the staff is great working here nice place to come n after a hard day at work if u eat breakfast really good I would recommend this place.

Awsme went to carowinds an could walk right back to the rm after, idk bout these other ppl but I stayed in rm # 204 an it was really worth the money the rm is very comfortable. No paint peeling in the room, no bed bugs, great customer service, good breakfast an plus they let me checkout at 1 if ur going to travel to this area I recommend staying here.

I know this was an isolated incident, but overall the area the hotels are in is NOT a safe area. We stayed at the Clarion our last visit to Carowinds, and found out it used to be an old brothel. We opted for the Comfort Inn this time because it had better reviews and were even more disappointed! I will say the housekeeping does a great job keeping the rooms clean and the breakfast was nice, so we made sure to tip them, but the management is AWFUL! Somehow, they let a TON of high school kids in the hotel for a party and we were woken up at midnight to what sounded like a gun being fired. We looked out our window which faced the pool to see nearly 100 kids running out of the hotel and a young man on the ground. It took police 20 minutes to get there, and even then, it was ONE police officer, who didn't attempt to disburse the crowd formed out in the parking lot. When the ambulance arrived to get the injured man on the ground, they couldn't get to him right away because of all the kids still swarming around him. It was an awful experience and my 7 year old witnessed the whole thing. What made it even worse was that management was supposed to refund the cost of our room that night and instead charged us AGAIN! The matter still hasn't been resolved. Avoid the entire area if you can.

Marginal at best. No security lock on the room door, the last one seemed to be ripped or busted off. The bath mirror is so distorted that we thought it may have come from a clown fun house. Should have spent the extra few dollars and stayed at the Quality Inn across the street. As a plus, the bed was comfortable.

No frills from this Comfort Inn. The rooms are "good enough" but if you're willing to stay further away from the park there's nicer establishments a few miles away at a better value. The toilet in our room wasn't fastened to the floor and waste water literally leaked out from the bottom. The hotel is under renovations so it's possible the rooms plumbing was simply overlooked.
