At least the young lady at the front counter was nice. If there was a choice for a half star I would have given that. It's not a good start when you find USED chewing tobacco pouches on the floor. Then ask at the front counter who checks the rooms after they are "clean" and the answer is the manager. Well… im guessing he is blind, has no sense of smell, or just doesn't give a sh…! Glad I used a coupon. Even though I changed rooms and the new room was kind of better. Super 8 has certainly lost my business in the future. Come to think of it I should have been tipped off by the homeless persons shopping cart full of stuff parked under the stairwell. Gadzooks!

Absolutely the worst hotel room ever I walked in and walked right out it's been 2 hours and I still cant fer that smell out my head in the non smoking room. Staines on all the bed linings lights would not work and I am pretty sure there was a dead hooker in my room.

It was supposed to be pet friendly and with continental breakfast if it was a continental breakfast then I lost it. The reason for no picture is because there was nothing really to give you to view the motel was not very good and it was not clean. But as far as customer service they were very helpful and polite.

The staff were professional and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. If you are in the area, I recommend stopping by for a nice evening.

Was in town for a family members graduation from basic. Desk clerks were very nice.

If I could give 0 stars I would… here 5 mins witnessed 2 prostitutes go in rooms, and 1 drug deal. Rooms are worse than any thing I've seen in a hotel. Wouldn't refund money. Do your self a favor sleep in a porta John.

The staff was really friendly and it was easy to check in. The rooms weren't very clean but it's whatever since it's cheap. This is where it got real though. 5:30 am my sister, friend, and I are all asleep when we hear a loud banging on our door. So I go answer half asleep thinking it was house keeping and not realizing what time it was. I opened the door to a man standing there talking about having $15 and I'm half asleep thinking he is begging for money. Nope. He finally clarifies that he wanted to pay me $15 to meet him in the bathroom. I shut the door in his face and I hear him knocking on other doors. Then he came back. At this point we are all hiding in the bathroom and the cops were called and I called the front desk. The front desk proceeds to tell me that he saw the dude walking around before I called and he went out to ask the dude what was up and the dude asked the front desk if he had any drugs for $15. True story.

Don't stay here ever. I check in today March 20, 2018 about 1:20pm and I check out about 3:00pm same day because room was dirty, cockroaches in fridge, toilet with pee, they never change sheet beds, we saw the complete body mark in the beds, and yellow marks in sheets. And then when we went to the office to do the check out, we saw like 20 police cars came to the parking of these Hotel (Motel). Looking for somebody. Im giving one star because there is no cero star.

Note to everyone never stay at super 8 (5719 Fairfield road Columbia, South Carolina 29203), after checking in at 1 am from driving all day to finally get some rest to be warned around 5 am by a police officer that we needed to get our stuff and leave right then. 30 minutes after getting their we had a older guy press his face and body against our window knocking on it, wouldn't leave for 5 minutes. We called the front desk, he insured that has never happened there and we were completely safe. Okay. Next. We went to get our bag out of the car and a woman tried following us to our room, we locked the door in her face and shut the blinds. Within 3 hours over 12 cars pulled in honking their horn and leaving right after, prostitutes constantly being picked up and dropped off, but yet the guy at the front desk still insured two young girls with two children that they were safe. The officers knew everything was going on there but did nothing but tell us we should leave and why did we choice a hotel like this. Luckily he did wait for us to get all of our stuff and both kids into the car and made sure we were safely gone before he left. This was such a scary experience, we were scared too even leave our room to get and the car and leave! Who would have thought checking into a popular hotel would have turned into us being in a drug dealing and prostitution hell hole. This hotel needs to be shut down. I have never feared for my, Amy, Riley and Bo's life.

Clean room but very noisy area. Guests next to me stayed outside smoking & drinking till 4am.

Horrible location. But very nice manager, people begging for money, etc.

Bad experience: The hotel room was nasty & the furniture was old and beat up. Saw what I thought was a small roach crawling accross the bed, but later found out that it was a bed bug due to the fact that I have bites on my arms, legs, neck, back, stomach, & shoulders. MY WHOLE BODY! There were burnt marks on the bath tube & the counter to the sinker. Overall nasty. ***This review is on behalf of a friend who is a truck driver & was not able to access the internet to post review.

There was nothing in breakfast except coffee. It is 20 miles from Columbia. Simple room.

Okay place, rates reasonable… housekeeping needs to improve. Found empty condom wrappers in draw, hair in shower. Felt safe.

It was announced as something that was not. I was expecting things I couldn't get.

This places didn't even deserve 1 star! the best thing about this places is that a Hardy's is right across from it. Rooms are extremely dirty, the location is horrible. Tried to get my money back but they wouldn't let me. Never stay at a Super 8! Never! pay the extra 20 bucks to stay somewhere else! this place need to be demolished!

Best to drive on by … don't even stop, you'd be better off sleeping in a dumpster SMH.

Not to bad but the toilet leaked and the bed is rock hard and thin walls u can hear everyone and everything.

The absolute worst hotel. Stay away! drugs and prostitution going on at this hell hole. Found a syringe on floor in the dirtiest hotel room ever. Demanded my money back. Will be contacting the president of this property (Wyndham Properties). This place needs to be closed and torn down.

Worst hotel ever! Checked in at 3am, paid $85. Asked for extended checkout so I could catch some sleep before traveling again but was refused because they have housekeeping problems. The room was dirty, the television was broken (management knew TV was busted), light bulbs were missing and area questionable. Would NOT recommend. Take your money elsewhere. Way overpaid for the conditions and service received.

Visted the columbia area last weekend and had a unplanned overstay! The lady is very very disrespectful and speaks to you like a damn dog! Pay your money on time I didnt cause any problems! The Wi-Fi is very very horrible! My mom called me from out of town she cussed at her and told her the man is at work… well ummm that wasnt anyones buusness! She will cuss and fuss with you! Somebody needs to call the buisness bureau or beat her ass!

Location is really good with it being right off the interstate but when it comes to food choices you really do not have many besides Denny and a Hardees. The room overall was clean, the bed felt really good to sleep in and the TV worked. Only negative we really saw was the furniture looked really old and there were small paint drops near the sink.

Spent a few nights here has it was 1 of the closest hotels going towards my new job at the power planet. Overall my 3 day stay was pleasant but I just wished there was more on this exit when it came to find choices. The room was clean but seemed old. The young kid who worked the front was helpful with suggestions on places I should go for dinner. Negative would be as I said seems old and needs some new paint.

I stay here often for work in Columbia. Great price. Rooms clean. Everything fresh. No complaints. Lots of food and conveniences nearby. Owners are extremely nice.

Stayed one week at the motel. The ladies at the front desk are very nice and informative about the area. The rooms are clean and smell fresh. You don't have to go out in the morning to get breakfast. They give you fresh fruit, coffee, and you can make your own waffles. I recommend you stay at the super 8.

Real nice I love the food real clean everything smells good and the service is th best and I get to sleep very peaceful best motel ever.

I am with you dave olson. My wife and our 4 children were disgusted. It was too late to go anywhere else considering we were driving from our disney resort back to erie pa. First off our shoes stuck to the carpet. We didnt let our kids take their shoes off. There were curly little hairs all over the side of our sheets. All night it felt as if bugs were crawling on us. We felt sticky soon as we stepped into the room. There was mold on our fridge and table. Thismorning I jumped into the disgusting shower and came out to my wife screaming. We then trapped a roach into a clear cup, took photos, shook out all our things and left the roach there on the counter in the cup. Thank goodness we didnt bring any of our suitcases into the roach motel. We then went to the front desk and argued with the man. He was the most ignorant, disrespectful *sshole we ever met who pretty much told us to f*ck off. Anyone who wants to stay here, even just a couple hours, please just read the reviews before you bring your kids into this place. And to the ignorant prick who ran his mouth, we will make sure your boss deals with our situation concerning you.

This was the most dirty, smelly, stained floor dump I was forced to stay in at 8:30 pm after a 17.5 hour drive from Toronto Canada. Exhausted, we settled and made the best of it, too tired and not sure what other options were available. Even trying to sit down on the chair was impossible, it too was stained. I don't think this hotel has passed any health department inspection. A pass would be impossible. I was sickened by this place, I told my wife and my children that we would never stay in such a hole again. The carpet was filthy and stained the entire area of the room. We wouldn't let the kids take their shoes off. The furniture was dusty. The hair dryer didn't work and the shower handle came off. The owner of this franchise should be ashamed of himself. How can you kiss your children at night telling them of your day's good deeds waiting for their admiration, you truly must be sick. The only creatures fit to live in your establishment are rats, cockroaches and bed bugs. Maybe thats whom your catering to my mistake. I thought I was checking in to a hotel. Maybe I didn t read the fine print, I feel silly now typing out this review. P. S that was sarcasm. I would like to rate you 0 stars but even this app won't let me.

The room was disgusting, there was hair all over the bathroom, stains on the floor and pillow, and at 4am we were kicked out because the smoke detector fell off the wall and all the lights went out! Not to mention I was called an a**hole because I called and complained! Will sleep on the streets before I ever stay there again.

The worst Super 8 motel ever. The female manager was so rude. She tried it kick me and my kids out of the hotel because I asked her for clean sheets. My son was crying because he was scared because she came inside the room threatening my and my three children because I told her the sheets were dirty. My husband was having surgery and I wanted to stay close to the hospital but I would advise all military to stay away from this Super 8 hotel.

This place is less than 1 star I had to rate it to make a comment! The beds smell and the bathroom ceiling is cracking the shower curtain was still dirty the front desk clerk was rude and felt that nothing was wrong with this hotel… Make this hotel your last choice! After seeing bugs in the room and telling the desk clerk he offered me to a fight all the while his to small shirt was showing the concealed weapon! What type of unprofessional place is this! No one should ever go here STAY clear of this hotel…

The head maid, I think the owners wife, was loud and rude when I ask for room service. Why should I have to ask when I paid for it. And still didn't come clean the room. I had to go get the towels. I hope someone shut this place down.

The only thing I liked was that it was only 8 minutes away from my family. This was the WORST motel I've ever stayed in. There were bugs in the shower and someone had left their diabetes testing strips on the night stand. Only one small garbage can and the carpet was dirty and sticky. I would never recommend this place to anyone!

I did not have any real issues with the room. It was a super 8. I travel frequently and we alwaysblook forna bargin so I was not expecting a 5 star hotel. But any eminities are off set by the woman that co owns the hotel. Her husband son and daughter that work there seemed very pleasent, but the woman was not. She was very excitable and confrontational. She sat in the lobby during breackfast and loudly talked on the phone and when my son made niose she shot him a look like she wanted to kill him. We forgot our room key and she told my son to go find her daughter to open the room. I was going to barbaque and ahe ran yelling at me to stop. I put some blueberries in thier waffle maker she yelled at me becuase she had to clean it. I felt very unwelcome and almost burdensome to be there. My interactions with her began with her yelling and or being disgusted and end with mr smiling and saying ok ok it is not a problem. I had to pacitlfy her. I dont think that customer service is in her nature. To bad really cause her husband was very polite and if you thought he and his son alone ran the bussiness it woild be fine but she definatley has a negative impact on the establishment.

Too bad I can't give them a negative one-star… Thought I would try this place, talked to the front desk and they said, "pet friendly" but refused to allow an iguana. See, they said $15 PER DAY fee for a dog or cat… that is NOT pet friendly anyway. Then the guy got RUDE. Hello, Red Roof Inn (no pet fee, no discrimination! )

What ever you do DO NOT STAY at this hotel! Front desk very rude, room smelled like vomit, after complaing to hotel about hot water not working they refused to change my room or refund. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

Do not go here! I checked in on a Wednesday afternoon charged me $66.50 4the room is so small carpet is so dirty I refused to take my shoes off. Sheets and towels were just down right nasty I wish I took pics nasty yellow stains on everything. Toilet didn't flush properly and ran for 15 mins after every flush Very loudly. And to top it off the start banging on your door at 9:15 when check out time is 11 asking you if your leaving I said I'm leaving at 11 called at 10:15 and called again at 10:40 so I left at 10:40. Lady at front desk is very nice but this hotel sucks a**. Don't waste your money only good part Was I didn't get ate up my bed bugs is that nasty full size bed not a king like it says on receipt. They charge you for a safe and phone use without telling you if you use it or not.

Unbelievable. Nasty as hell. I said something to the manager in the morning and she tried to ask me how clean my house is! Are you serious? Am I renting rooms at my house? No, but I guarantee its cleaner than your "no tell motel". Please let my vehicle get it's repairs done today. I'll take a cab somewhere else before I stay here again.

I hate to even give it one star! The door was on by one hinge, Bathroom sink leaked so bad I had to put a bucket under it! Beds so uncomfortable, I had my pup with me and she kept finding disgusting things! It was $105 a night I only stayed there because car broke down, 2 days later I got a motel closer to service center for my car, it was like brand new, for about $50.00 a night.

This was the most disgusting Super 8 I have ever been to. The toilet doesn't flush the bath tub was gross it had black mold all in and around it. I don't think its ever been cleaned. There were druggies and prostitute every where! Some one was trying to break in our room in the middle of the night. Someone was standing outside our room screaming at 1a. M. If it wasn't for the fact that we had been driving for 15 hours with an 8 mth old we would have demanded our money back and gone somewhere else. None of us took a shower because we figured we would end up just being dirtier. The toilet seat didn't have screws to hold it on so when you sat down on it you had to balance to make sure you didn't fall in to the disgusting bathroom floor. Not to mention the cup they had to use with the coffee maker was a Styrofoam cup that looked like it had just been rinsed out and placed back for the next person to use. There were only 4 cars in the parking lot and the guy at the front desk said they were almost full and when they're almost full they charge more. I think he just made up his price! Do not stay here keep on driving just a little farther up the road.

Front desk staff was rude, rooms smelled like urine, towels were disgusting, and practically kicked us out at ten till check out time, yelling and banging on the door that we need to "get out right now or pay more money. " I have never seen anything like it. On top of all of that, my friend who stayed with us smokes cigarettes, and because she threw her butts away in the trash can instead of littering their parking lot — they are trying to charge us a $250 charge! They offered us a smoking room but I hate those and hate people who smoke indoors so I of course said no, and this is what I get for that decision! ABSURD! This place is HORRIBLE. Dont stay there.

The room was dirty ants crawling on walls dead bugs in corners it was a jacuzzi suite the tub was not big enough for two I drive truck all over the us never stayed in dive like this and never will stay here again and wouldnt recomend it to anyone.

This Motel serves spoil milk for breakfast everyday and treats there customers like dogs. Please go to a different motel for humane service. If you want 3rd World Service stay here.
