Econo Lodge Northeast Hotel

This place was awful just a throwback from 1970s like they did nothing to improve the place since then. No hairdryer no no coffee maker — plus the bathroom was awful the toilet had poop on it when we came in. I brought my own sheets for fear of rough sheets and bedbugs. The people at the desk were super super nice. But they were not well-informed about which restaurants are in the area. In fact the one girl said she had Never even been to the downtown area where there are many nice restaurants in West Reading. How can you work at a hotel motel and not even know where decent restaurants are they referred me to the fast food places for the most part. We come here every year for a specific event and the hotels fill up quickly so we got stuck with this motel whichwas awful. And they hike up the prices of all lodging in the area because of this one annual event.

Pros: Close to the WW2 Air Show. Front desk guy was nice. Cons: Room was dirty. Blood on the pillow. Hair all over the bathroom. Being a former hotel housekeeper, I can understand that the housekeepers only have a timeframe they need to get rooms done, but things that need to be cleaned, like the toilet, really should be addressed first.

I love this place. Its cheap. Rooms are cozy. There are air conditioners and heaters. Flat screens and Wi-Fi. Breakfast in the morning and wonderful maids. Perfect location. Close to shopping centers mivie theaters. Grocery storws and. So much more right across is legends which is a good club if yoy like to have fun.

STAY AWAY! Where do I begin, first off they charge you a $100 in case of damages/accidentals. When I checked in the clerk told me that I would not get it back if anything is damaged in the room, if you take a towel, any illegal activity, and if you use to the room for prostitution. Yes, while checking in the clerk literally mentioned prostitution. You can not get the refund back if you do not come back with the receipt that they give you at check in. I am still waiting for the $100 to clear as it is still pending. The Wi-Fi is non-existent and during check-in the clerk flat out told me it probably will not work. The water in the shower was cold, cold, cold. Would not stay here again. Up side is you are a close drive to stores, shopping, food, and movie theater.

I always enjoy staying here. Staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is good, parking lot is easy and accessible to all rooms.

Basic stuff here. Clean room, beds, and appliances. Television, microwave, fridge. Heat and cold air conditioning. Basic stuff, done right. Excellent prices. Good parking and has vacancy at peak hours.

What an amazing place to stay at! The staff are always very welcoming and honest. Recommended 5 stars in my book!

Clean, basic accomodation at a good price. Mini fridge and microwave are good extras.

I made a reservation here & the front desk lady gave me such a hard time trying to check in after traveling for 6 hours. Ended up having to go to the Rodeway inn dump across the street just because I was $3 short from my total even though they had my card on file already for incidentals. Completely horrible experience overall. Especially since I travel for work & check into hotels all of the time, have never dealt with a more uptight receptionist than this one.

The Econo Lodge was for an professional evaluation. I have attended it as a customer. And didn't have many complaints about it.

Stayed here for the weekend with my husband while he worked. It was very clean, quiet, and relaxing. The staff was so nice and accommodating. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby as well. There may be no pool or fitness center, which I usually look for, but it was perfect fir catching up on some much needed rest.

Staff was friendly and courteous. Rooms were clean. No complaints at all.

Dirty vanity. Greasey microwave. Dirty carpet. Very dusty A. C… bad smoke odder in room. The only good thing was front desk staff was nice… also one of the owners tried to act like she was just a front desk clerk when I also tried to express my concerns to her also. How I know she was a owner? Another front desk clerk told me… so unprofessional… not good!

This isn't a luxury hotel, and the furnishings are dated, but the rooms are comfortable and very clean. If you are looking for fancy, this isn't the place, but if you are looking for a place to get a good night's sleep without breaking the bank, then this place does just fine.

No laundry machines and breakfast is lacking but the room is better than other econo lodges.

If you want FANCY don't stay here. HOWEVER, the room was Clean, the bathroom worked good, including water pressure & hot water. This location is just of the warren st bypass & once your inside, you don't hear much road noise. The microwave & mini refridge worked & TV had great channels & picture, regardless of its age. AC works good too. We booked room 132 (1 king bed smoking) for 3 days. Close to shopping & food & first energy stadium, which is why we were here, ballgame & fireworks for the 4th of July. The room had some minor "smoking mishaps " & no coffee maker nor soap dish in the shower (Dollar General down the street, purchase one) Door locked well. As I always do, pack a small bottle of febreze. Ladies, please pack two XTRA bath towels, you'll thank yourself later. (1set per per person). Bed was comfy … Bath sink area large … Would I stay here again? YES. Don't be picky … I've had worse at rodeway Montgomeryville pa recently. This room was clean & affordable.

The room was comfortable we had only one problem the toilet was running water everytime you flushed water toilet problems.

Several problems found. Hot water was only lukewarm. Pressure was standard. Not the high pressure I'm use to from most hotels. The sink and tub had a slow almost clogged drain. And last but not least the heater thermostat was not working right. I entered the room and it was around 90 degrees though the readout said 80. So I had to go down to 60 degrees to be comfortable.
