My family and I have gone to the Hotel many times on holidays for dinner for several years and had never had a bad experience. Unfortunately, when we attended the family style Thanksgiving dinner this year, we all ended up with severe food poisoning. I reached out to the Hotel via email and did not receive a response. I would definitely not recommend this place anymore!

Had a wonderful brunch on the porch with great service! Even our dog gives it a two paws up!

Love this gem. Best brunch. Gorgeous garden and sitting room. Nice staff. A real treasure.

I just stayed at The Hotel Fauchere in Milford Pa with my daughter and loved it. The hotel was highly recommended by my friend Liz Hartman. This historical hotel is pristine, elegant and charming. Staff professional and food amazing. I’m already looking to book another trip. Highly recommend.

What a cozy hotel… a welcome note on the desk, a pretty and clean room, an inviting bath in a lovely town… I when for a walk before dinner… after enjoying the cold in a sunny Milford afternoon I tasted the best Malaga chips that I have never taste before. Those malanga chips are a chic way to cock the malanga, an ancient root vegetable that reminded me the delicious comfort food called "#Malangada" from a town in.

We enjoyed a short but memorable stay at the Hotel Fauchere. The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. Excellent service from every staff member!

We love this place. The only downside is the water in the shower did not get very hot. Not sure if it is like this all the time, but I like steamy hot showers.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel! The entire staff is terrific. The food is delicious and the environment is very pretty and relaxing. We so enjoyed the Pop Up Bastille Day Dinner and met some really great people. I am hoping to make this a yearly tradition. Thank you all for making our stay extra special.

Truly amazing guest services and fantastic food. Be sure to check out their bakery and Italian restaurant next door. The cinnamon rolls are everything.

A beautiful historic hotel in the wonderful village of Milford, PA. My visit revealed that very detail that you would expect in a great hotel is meticulously providedfor. The rooms are filled with beautifully restored antique furniture and period furnishings. You will find a staff at the Fauchere extraordinarily friendly and dedicated to provide top service. I believe that this dedication is a refection of their employer and hotel' owner, Sean Strub. Sean appears to have an endless supply of energy and warmth for all. A unique experience that only an owner operated hotel can provide.

The Fauchere and Bar Louis are a great addition to Milford. We’ve had brunches and dinners here with parties of various sizes and the food and service is always excellent. My family swears by the sushi pizza and I love the Upper Delaware Valley Breakfast. Plus side of the front porch dining area is they allow dogs.

Great old fashioned hotel in a great little town. For a getaway weekend hard to beat — great restaurant, great breakfast, nice cafe next to the hotel. Downside is small rooms, but in an old hotel like this it would lose charn if they remodeled.

I purchased tea for over 3 dollars including tax, it came extremely hot so I was not able to drink it, I did not notice that the lid was on very loose so when I got into my car it popped off and I spilt the whole tea over me and my car. I never got to even sip the expensive beverage because the lid was not put on properly.

Beautiful place, and top notch service. My husband and I were married here a few years ago and it was perfect. Staff are wonderful, as is the location, food, and accommodations. Highly recommend.

The staff is amazing! The rooms are very clean and homey. We were out of power and they offered free hot showers to the public. The hospitality while we waited was above and beyond! My kids and I played a board game (clue) they offered while we waited for our turn for a shower room. And we offered hot chocolate for the kids and hot tea for me. They tasted soo good! I was very impressed! They asked for nothing in return but a smile.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel this weekend. The rooms were modern and updated, but still had the historic character to it. We could not find a parking spot and the front desk personnel, Isaac, moved his own personal car to give us a parking spot. I will not hesitate to come back to stay! If I could give this place 6 stars, I would!

Top notch customer service, food and accommodations! Everything you need is within steps of this gorgeous hotel. We can't say enough good things about this place and highly recommend staying here. We can't wait to come back!

Fantastic oasis in otherwise rural PA. Beat restaurant in miles (as in hundreds of miles) and a wonderful, elegant hotel. People there are friendly (like people used to be friendly) and helpful and eternally patient. It's got an old-worldy charm that just makes everything better and nicer. And Milford is quaint and quietly sophisticated, a rare blend.

Tried lunch there on THREE different occasions… service was okay one of the three, but the other two times we had to wait forever for everything, even the water. Half the menu was not available. Table was dirty. Just not enjoyable. Some of the food was very tasty, but overall a negative experience.

Had dinner in the Delmonico Room which is beautifully appointed. We were there on what must have been an off night and there was only one other couple. The wait staff was very attentive and service prompt but can only wish the meal was a little better prepared. Both salads were tasty but the vegetables should have been slightly more cooked as was the case with the entree. The wine by the glass was excellent. For the cost however, the meal should have been several notchs better. Understand from many who have been there, that Bar Louis downstairs is a better experience and will definitely try that next time.

We stayed here before and were so amazed by the entire experience, we made it a point to stay again when in the area. Staff, restaurant (Bar Loius), guest room, ambiance and especially the breakfast are all TOP NOTCH. Get ready to be amazed by the yogurt and the granola! Superb!

We ate at Bar Louis. Her pasta dish was excellent. My scallops were disappointing. Neither the scallops nor the polenta were very flavorful, and the cooking of the scallops was inconsistent. Some were rather underdone and some were near to what I expected. Still, the ambiance is cozy and our server was a delight. Our desserts were tasty and a good end to the meal. We'll be back to give them another chance.

Beautiful old remodeled Hotel right in the heart of Milford Pennsylvania. Friendly staff with quaint clean rooms. Dine or relax on the covered porch.

We had the perfect stay! This hotel is beautiful. The staff is friendly and truly go out of their way to make you feel special, which says allot. We had dinner @ Bar Louis. Fabulous to say the least. The continental breakfast was great! Try the homemade yogurt. We purchased some next store to bring home along with the homemade granola. Rooms are comfortable and relaxing. The grounds are beautiful. Milford itself is a great little town! We walked around town and shopped local. Enjoy!

Staying at this lovely hotel was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The staff was terrific, and friendly, the breakfast served in the most elegant environment was delicious, as was the food at Bar Louie, with that famous photograph of Andy Warhol and John Lennon gracing the bar. The conservatory was beautiful with lush plants and comfortable seating, books to read, and most of all it was quiet. And then there was the bed… ultra comfortable, and my room had a shower to die for. A knock at the door our first night was an offer of milk and cookies, which I did not go for as I'd had a wonderful meal at Bar Louis, but the gesture felt so welcoming. This is a more than five star hotel that is a must if you are traveling in the Milford, PA area. The town itself is adorable and historic, with plenty to do on foot, and apparently a short drive away places to hike and enjoy nature. We took a long walk to Historic Water Wheel, whose housing also included a neat guitar store, and other shops, and then a short walk after stopping back at the hotel to The Colums Museum which is home to the flag that cushioned President Lincoln's head when he was shot, and other Lincoln memorabilia, as well as relics from the world of Mary Pickford and other actors of the day. I want to go back there, and I am pretty sure you will too once you have experienced the place.

Great bistro on the side of the hotel with fantastic breasts and bakery items. Coffee was excellent and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Food and atmosphere is excellent. A nice historic gem in downtown milford. A must visit location.

Beautiful rooms and go to Bar Louis downstairs. It's a home town yet cosmopolitan vibe.

We had dinner out in the porch, which was a beautiful location. Service and drinks were excellent, and the food was tasty. Burger was outstanding, and scallops were just so-so. There conception of the dish was good, but the scallops were under-seared and the polenta was nondescript in the extreme. Still very much enjoyed the experience!

Resturaunt: Pos: Nice atmosphere, nice staff, took the failed meal of from the bill, tried to re-cock. Neg: Very bad meal; "fried steak" with vegitables. Tasteless, overdone and a poor veggie combination.

Went there for Brunch on a Sunday. The duck confit hash was delicious. So was the bloody mary. The staff was friendly but the drinks took forever. We had our food before our drinks. We also were stuck in the middle of a seat dispute with a couple that wanted our seats. Unfortunately the staff didn't do much to move them from us. We were paid and ready to leave and they could have simply moved them and told them the seat would be open in a few minutes but they let the people hover over us. Finally we left out of sheer awkwardness.

I only went to the Hotel Fauchere for brunch, but the food is absolutely amazing. I got the Sausage and Grits which were delicious. Grits were creamy and the sausage was from a local place (can't remember the name) and tasted great.

One star is too many for this phony facility. They charge top dollar and try to be this fancy place. But the truth is the services are terrible. The room was a sweat box. The shower was cold and the controls didn't work. This is a 15 room facility and you wait forever for a simple thing like a luggage rack. We went down to the fancy pants restaurant for breakfast which literally had 20 empty tables and they had to check if they could accommodate us. My wife and I had to share a menu and wait 15 minutes to place our order only for it to come 15 minutes later wrong and without our drinks and missing food. And the food that did come was cold. The people running this place are clueless.

This is truly a hidden gem; perhaps the textbook definition of it. This hotel will enchant you and offer youI unique experience. I've heard that fine dining is moving out of cities: apparently, this is where it's going.

Amazing place! Stayed there just for one night but it gave us such a great memories! Love the cozy room, outdoor garden, fresh cut flowers on the tables, beautiful paintings on the walls. The breakfast was so deliciuos! Even though the staff was some kind of suspicious towards new guests, we will definitely come back :)

This hotel is very nice and elegant. The customer service is amazing and there are different room layouts. Right in the middle of all the milford action!

Haven't been to the hotel, but the restaurant is very good. Great food, service and atmosphere. By far the nicest place in the area, although the area is pretty remote. Best for lunch/brunch, try the crab cakes and the local brews.

Went for Sunday brunch. The food and drinks, both delightful. The service was superb. The atmosphere was elegant. All together a great experience. Definitely the nicest place in the area.

Pretty building and its well maintained. Menu could be bigger and contain more items. Desserts aren't the best here. Service was good. It would be better if they were open everyday of the week instead of just a few. Delmonico room (upstairs) has always been closed everytime single I have eaten there. So I can really only review Bar Louis (restaurant/bar downstairs) and Emerson House. Which is the building next door that's part of Frauchere ownership. Overall, positive and hope this review help someone with there dinning experience.

We ate dinner at Bar Louis. The severs are welcoming and sweet, if not a bit inexperienced and untrained for their roles. Water can be filled when glasses are empty; specials of the day can be presented without asking if they had any; etc. But nothing that ruins a dining experience. The food is overall very good when you stick with the fundamentals: burgers; grilled meats; and other basic bistro standards. I'm fact their burger is excellent and mussels & fries are delicious. Where they go wrong is things like "Sushi Pizza" — where they fry up doughy white rice in tempura, then top it off with chopped up tuna and hide any nasty second grade fish flavor with pungent spicy Mayo sauce. If it feels a bit too experimental, it may be best to avoid from their menu. Otherwise, the ambience is muted and clean in the downstairs basement level of the elegant old hotel. Prices are not cheap, but it serves a certain demographic who are stopping over on their final destination to NYC.

Lovely spot for brunch. The sushi pizza was so interesting, great spin on traditional pizza but it felt really healthy to eat. The porch setting for a Spring brunch was really quaint. The town of Milford itself is charming with many stores to visit.

I had dinner at Bar Louis on 5/26/15. I was online looking at menus for a variety of restaurants since my husband and I were celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary. We traveled 40 minutes to get to the restaurant and were extremely disappointed that the menu was not the same as was displayed online. The Delmonico room had the exact same menu which was very frustrating. $23 for a plain chicken breast is a bit much. The food was good but really not worth the price.

Fantastic weekend getaway! The quiet mix of history and contemporary elegance make this a perfect weekend getaway location. The Bar Louis and The Delmonico provide excellent dining alternatives and experiences. It is sublime.

This is such a lovely property. They have very cute rooms with great bathrooms. Also the restaurant is truly outstanding. The staff could not be more friendly. I would highly highly recommend the Hotel Fauchere.

We stopped in for desserts and appetizers and it was excellent at the Bar Louis. We decided to return for a birthday dinner for 3 people. The food was not what I expected for $200. I expected a great meal but the halibut was bland, presentation was nice. The dessert is phenomenal: fruit tart and creme brule'. The second dessert was a tremendous portion. The decor and ambience was nice. So desserts, drinks and appetizers in the future.

I have had the pleasure of spending a weekend at the Hotel Fauchere celebrating my birthday a few years back and have loved it ever since. I am always delighted with the service and menu. The hotel has a clean, fresh and neat appearance while still showing its age. The Bar Louis is its own dining experience with excellent drink choices. You may enjoy a quiet drink at times but don't be fooled, this is a busy happening spot and great place for small gatherings and meetings.

Bar Louis at Hotel Fauchere — Two Visits — Bad to Worse This summer my wife and I had a very disappointing lunch experience here. Realizing that all establishments can have a bad day, I refrained from posting a negative review. We went back for dinner and went from disappointing to horrendous. Place was not crowded, well staffed, so there was no excuse for what followed. The space is marvelous, a chic feel. Beer list is excellent. I misspoke when I ordered my beer, giving the wrong brewer for the beer I named. When the waitress brought it she realized that she hadn’t caught that and offered to take back the beer. It was my mistake that caused the confusion so I said I would keep it. (point is – I’m not overly picky and am flexible. ) I realized waitress had never asked me whether I wanted the salad or french fry option, but again, didn’t complain We both had Onion Soup – excellent. I was prepared for a good experience. My “Medium” Steak Frites comes out grey all through (they serve it thickly sliced). Cut it open – well done throughout. I quietly called waitress and pointed out that this was way overcooked. (Medium is generally warm pink center – there was NO pink in this grey slab). My steak comes out again – slices turned up so you can see a really, really rare / raw steak. (Steak tartare came to mind). Both my wife and I felt the way it was presented that this was a conscious “in your face” by the chef. Also felt that the waitress should have checked it.
