Was exactly what I was looking for, a quiet, inexpensive hotel, close to a gas station and the highway. I really can't believe people are rating this place so bad, based on the $50 I paid, it was awesome. You get what you pay for folks, rate accordingly!

Stayed just one night while visiting Hersheypark. Was a bit hesitant because of other reviews for the hotel, but my experience was problem free. Room was clean; no moldy shower, bed bugs, or cigarette smell as others have mentioned. Most notable defect was a broken toilet paper roll holder, but that's more or less negligible for me. Room was about as good as it gets for a $50 hotel, would definitely stay again if in the area.

Stayed for one night. It is fairly close to Hershey Park, only a 10 minute drive. We had reserved the room with a rollaway bed as part of the reservation but we're told that the only rollaway bed they had was already taken. They did refund it, but one of us had to sleep on the floor. The breakfast was also very unimpressive: mini bagels, snack sized pastries and cereal. On the positive side, the room was clean and a fair bit of distance from the road so we couldn't hear any of that noise, I did manage to sleep well and the reception staff was polite.

Wasn't bad for the price. Had no major problems, everything worked and bed and bathroom were clean. The room smelled fine, but it did occasionally smell like smoke in the hallway. The floors appeared to have been quickly vacuumed but not around the edges or in between furniture. There was a pair of socks that must have been forgotten by the previous guest and housekeeping must have missed under the front of the bed. Good enough if you are looking for somewhere cheap to stay near hershey.

Absolutely disgusting! Carpets are all stained, rooms are filthy and the staff is awful! It smelled like smoke — badly! I booked this room for my family. I arrived with my daughter, son and wife. The manager checked us in and then proceeded to follow us down the hall screaming “how many, how many stay with you”. I told him just three of us, my daughter is leaving and staying with a friend after she showers. I guess he thought I was a liar? He called the room as soon as I went in and told me I must be charged for more people, I replied “no way” I reserved a non smoking room for 3 and already paid. I was given a smoking room. It was the most insane and ridiculous situation ever! Avoid this place at all cost!

Minute we got to the lot it reminded me of no country for old men. Walk in smelled like fried food and there was no AC in lobby. Hotel was dirty all around. You can tell there had not been cleaned in about 10 years. The room was alright but the shower and bathroom was dirty found hair under bed. Walls were ripped off at bottom of floor. Walls were thin, I could here someone cough from next door. One plus was the AC in the room kept it cold. That’s it. I wouldn’t stay here again even if I was paid. Great hotels near by offer a much better time.

The blackout curtains would not stay closed, and there was a spotlight aimed at the window. Staff was polite, but not exactly friendly. The desk clerk was running around, trying to keep up with the phone and the marginal breakfast. Seems like they should have help for her. EconoLodge *IS* less than others, so I guess we got what we paid for.

Booked through third party that allowed me to add the pet fee and pay online ahead of time. Was accused of trying to “sneak” my dog into my room and then forced to pay an extra pet fee and wait while they inspected my room. My dog is 10 pounds. He couldn’t damage the room any worse than what had already been done. The carpet was dirty with old food crumbs all over, the sink faucet was completely clogged, and the shower leaked all night.

Good location… right beside I 81. Room and bed acceptable. Bathroom could use some updating. Breakfast on the cheap side and not a very comfortable dining area. Cramped. No elevator to 2nd floor so you had better be able to climb 2 sets of stairs. They could make the outside a bit prettier by planting some flowers or nice shrubs and maybe plucking the huge weeds. In other words if you are looking for a pretty place then don't book there. Nice fridge, t. V. Had good channels and there was a safe and microwave all in good condition.

Stayed there this past weekend. One of the dirtiest hotels we've ever stayed in, and we travel pretty frequently. The carpet was ripped, sheets were stained and had someone else's hair all over them, dirt in the ice, and to top it off, there was a cockroach in our room. We actually went out to Wal-Mart and bought sheets and pillows. Owner is rude and not very inviting. This should definitely not be allowed to be called an Econo Lodge!

Not so great hotel, they have compact shower instead of regular bath tubs.

Rooms are clean and rate is good I have stayed here a couple times because I put my truck is shop The first time I stoped my trailer in there truck lot for a couple days, this time I dropped the trailer and took the truck to the shop on the way over there the guy at front desk was saying something about were the truck should be parked from what I understood due to his broken English. When I returned to motel got in my room to get ready for a shower he was knocking on the door when I open the door he said I could not leave my trailer there with out the tractor, I told him the truck was in the shop and how was I going to move the trailer his reply was it wasn't his problem. So I got my stuff back on and walked back to shop to get my truck so I could move the trailer out of the lot that was for costumers which I thought I was since I paid for 2 nights! If it wasn't for the wife and the dog I would have checked out then. After his reply it's not his problem and it won't be mine either because I won't be back ever.

I wasn't a fan of some of the individuals that stayed there. Place was not dirty in particular, just not spruced up. The breakfast was pretty decent for the price we paid to stay. Conveniently located. The few issues I had was, we had a late check-out and they were pounding on the door at 11:05 (late check-out was 12:00pm) asking us why we were still there. Some neighbors were alittle loud in the middle of the night. The night clerk was a total dick. Other than that, for the money it was ok.

I have stayed a couple of times, and I absolutely love this hotel. The rooms are very very clean, the staff are very friendly and accommodating, the beds are comfortable, and for this price it is surprising that little things are included. This is one of the only hotels and its price range in the area that offers a coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, and iron in the room. They have the best price, and quite frankly for what they offer they under charge. I highly recommend staying here!

Customer service was incredible. The room was clean. The breakfast was simple and great. Would definitely stay again.

Very Professional Staff. The Breakfast Could Be A Bit better, however a free bagel is a great bagel. I overslept on checkout day and they were totally understanding and polite. They Didn't Rush Me Or Act rude. Special Thanks To Stan. Cool Guy.

It is not very luxurious it is a bit expensive to spend the night and make you pay a deposit of 100 dollars for each room you rent.

Love the service. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast. The staff is excellent. Would recommend this location to anyone.

The perfect place to be if you're looking for peace and quiet. The staff's conduct and their sincerity is enough to warm you up. Cozy and comfy rooms. Free Wi-Fi, free breakfast. The stay was worth it. I would stay here again. Thanks a bunch for your hospitality. I would recommend this place to any and everyone.

It's clean and friendly service. Although it is warn and some things in need of repair. Price was right for what I needed.

The room was clean and comfortable. The service was friendly and quick. Checking in took a decent amount of time; however, it was mainly due to a little confusion on our end, and we were accommodated.

Very good deal for the price we paid (on Expedia)! Nice room with many amenities, decent breakfast and pleasant lobby helped us give this rating. Friendly staff as well when we were there!

Nice, clean and right off the highway. Staff was great and took care of us, even when we came in after midnight. Older hotel, but still nice.

Great place! Only complaint is no proper ice machine and the ice chest available to guests doesn't have a scoop or anything so it's unsanitary.

Well as an employee of the hotel they are the most inconompident jackasses ever and do not treat us with respect and the place has bed bugs and cockroaches in the pantry.

This place was very outdated the outside access was broken except for the front door. The bed was old and very uncomfortable. I can go with an old outdated place if two things exist. The first is no stinky smells which this place did not have. The second is a comfortable bed. This did not have an elevator even though it's only two floors that could be an issue for some people. I would recommend other hotels down the road a little bit and get a little more for your money.

We were going to a concert the next day at Hershey and getting into town late at night. We were looking for an inexpensive hotel, nothing fancy. This hotel definitely fit that. Not a place I would necessarily recommend but it is cheap and has a decent free breakfast. The rooms are clean, just old. Our shower door wouldn't close so had to put a towel in the door to make it close. Staff was friendly. Overall, decent for a quick stay and a warm breakfast if you like waffles.

Hotel is conveniently located literally right next to the on ramp for Interstate 81. The rooms were as clean as would be expected from a chain such as this, the air conditioning was cold, and the rooms smelled fine, though the hall smelled like old weed. It was an absolutely fine place to stay for the night, though I don't think I would book it for a romantic weekend getaway. Also, the coffee and continental breakfast is always nice to start the day quick.

If you are looking for a bed to sleep in during a Road trip this hotel will suffice. The free breakfast is below average though not the worst I've had. They did offer waffles but no good choices for fruits or anyone not carb loading. Beds were average. Shower was small but clean.

Place is not easy to see by the road and close to gas station and food Mart's and that's pretty much it. There's like a dusty fog in the hallways, exposed wires, hallway has burn marks on the floor, bathrooms in rooms are tiny and dirty. The toilet flushed and we were happily surprised by that. Our sink was clogged and a call to fix it was never answered, whatever, this was just a place to sleep. Also, there's an open shed in the parking lot with discarded furniture that's full of stray cats. Wifi works well and the the in room TV is pretty nice. Furniture in the rooms are basic but functional and clean. The breakfast is choice between two cereals (fruit loops and raisin Bran today) coffee (can buy a K-cup for $1 at front desk, as well as snacks and fun sized candy and soda from a fridge by the front door), bread, pastries, and a waffle machine that is manned by the proprietor. The breakfast area is very tiny and I had to move every few minutes because I was seated near a closet that had to be accessed often. The front desk staff was very polite and they worked with what they had. It's close to Hershey Park and that's a plus. I wouldn't stay again.

This is what I love about smaller hotels! The hospitality was genuine, couldn't ask for better people running this place. They were very nice, very helpful, and just all around kind. It was inexpensive, and still had a continental breakfast, that was just as good if not better than the big hotels. Clean rooms, nice hot water, air worked great! Thank you so much!

Cloud of smoke, everywhere. Doughnut was hard. Water stains and bad patched drywall walls (covering holes? ). Door latch did NOT work, or even latch the door. The latch was even lose on the wall mount. Sprinkler looked like it was shoved through the ceiling. Hotel needs a remodeling bad to get rid of smoke smell. Gave it a second star because the stand up shower was spacious, hotel easy to find/access, and was cheap. Maybe 3 stars for price if didn't have smoke.

Rooms are comfortable nice staff breakfast is a 3 out of 5. The only negative content is the stairs to get to the second level has a slight off smell but otherwise great experience.

Well at the desk they were friendly but the room really needed some work no where to hang your cloths the door to the bathroom didn't work very old and out dated could hear the people up stairs the only good thing is they had plenty of Simi parking and we are limited to where we can go or I would of not stayed sorry to say I won't be back good luck with your stay have a bless day ow the price was not what it said.

The rooms are comfortable and clean the staff are very friendly & helpful with picking places to eat also there breakfast is on time.
