The Glass House is a quaint and clean little hotel. The staff is very helpful. They let us check in early and even leant us a beach towel to use at the heated pool.

OMG this place was awesome. Our room was recently remodeled gorgeous. Front desk owners awesome went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Pool was clean. There was a place to eat, grill very family-oriented. Other guests were so kind and it was like a family affair outside at night everybody talking and there was music playing and by 10:00 quieted down people were still out on their benches no drama so great. I would recommend this place again and for sure we will be back. Thank you for making it such a pleasurable experience.

Old fashioned looking rooms but very clean and well kept. It has a homely feel to it. The front desk was nice and friendly too.

We totally recommend the Glass House! The kids absolutely loved it! The staff was super friendly. The outside has its original kitschy charm, and the inside is fresh and modern. The pool is very nice. The continental breakfast was nicely adapted to COVID circumstances. The other lodgers were very friendly, which added to the family friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be staying here again!

The room was very clean, they were very helpful, friendly and truly cared that we had everything we needed during our stay. They had a "breakfast bag" every morning, along with coffee, cereal, milk, etc… just really good people! We'll definitely stay there again!

The decor of the room was outdated. We asked for a late checkout because we were running the Erie marathon and it was not even considered. The Comfort Inn on 5th Avenue allowed late checkouts and was very accommodating to people running the Erie marathon. Otherwise they were clean and friendly.

We have stayed here before. It is a sweet step back in time. Checking in, however, the desk clerk was extremely rude, and insulted us. She was also the same person with whom we made our reservations. She was rude then, too. She is a black eye for this establishment owned by a nice family. Not a good impression.

I was greeted with a smiling face. The rooms are very clean. The pool is great. The location to beaches is just a small distance from place. I will be back next year.

Affordable, clean, big room (queen bed, sofa, stuffed chair, big bathroom), reliable Wi-Fi, refrigerator/microwave—but what I liked best was that this motel was built in the 1950's and has been very well maintained over the decades. The door to my room is solid maple, the sign out front is vintage. They even have a cool porcelain figurine in the office that looks like the atomic age. I definitely will come again.

This is a quaint, old-fashioned, 50's throwback motel that keeps its nostalgic charm. Rooms are old fashioned but comfortable. We liked the old style A/C which runs continuously instead of cycling on and off like modern ones do. Better sleep! Outdoor pool, nice flowers everywhere, pleasant staff. Breakfast not too extensive but adequate. Will stay again.

I absolutely love it. We keep coming back every year. I get a warm fuzzy feeling from this place like I am at home. Rooms are kept perfectly clean and you can't beat the prices. Pool is adorable.

I grew up in the area and come back for family reunions at the lake every other year. This is where we always stay along with some of my other family members. It's a great place! The owners and staff are always very friendly, helpful and accommodating. After an 8-11 hour drive, needless to say we look forward to our room! They're always super clean and ready to go. The pool is always a hit with our group, the inn is easy to get to and leave from — great location and it's so close to Presque Isle where we have the reunion. Each room also has a mini fridge which is a HUGE plus. That mini-fridge is just awesome when you're driving across a state like PA and heading out for a weekend at the beach. Overall, the Glass House Inn is a happy place that reminds me of times I stayed at my grandma's house when I was a little kid. That might sound strange but what I mean is this place just has a really good vibe, it's comfortable and just feels good. It's not cold and corporate like other places you might stay. We look forward to our next trip out to Erie knowing we have a great place to stay and some crazy family to visit.

We found this place fantastic. An adorable vintage look to it. Very clean, quite and close to attractions. Staff very friendly. They offer a free continental breakfast which was good. Just enough to fill our bellies. We would definitely stay again. No this isn't a modern hotel but if your looking for a quite, inexpensive, close and vinatge feel this is the place to stay. Great place for our getaway for he weekend! We loved it and give this place a thumbs up! Thanks!

Shower ran out of hot water and walls are paper thin. Breakfast was fine.

Clean, retro, and charming. Diverter in shower was hard to pull, water came out of head and spout. One bar on Wi-Fi signal, sometimes disconnected. Would stay again.

The room is very small, so it's great for a quick overnighter where you aren't spending much time in it; we stayed a couple days and became claustrophobic. The pool is really nice. There's really nothing negative about it, just expect a cleaner "Motel 6" experience.

Very nice room had recliner, chair, and queen size bed. Mini fridge small coffee maker and small microwave. Tv was very nice. Exceptionally clean. Loved staying there! Price very affordable.

Stayed here for a night just to break up a drive. Would've loved to stay longer. Very charming and clean little place. Aside from the flat screen TV the interior looks old, but also brand new. Bed was decent, and pillows were super comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Probably the cleanest motel I've ever stayed in. Many of the fixtures are original, but they are as clean as if they were brand new. The owners and workers were very courteous during our week-long stay. I was able to work remotely on their wi-if. And you can't beat the price, especially with the free continental breakfast. This is a family-owned business on its third generation, and it's obvious they take great pride in it. Found it by luck. Highly recommend!

Super Motel, room lovingly furnished in an older style, looks very pretty, very clean! Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker in the room, nonsmoking, no pets, despite street very quiet, … Highly recommended!

What a clean and charming motel! The staff were so very pleasant and accommodating. We will be returning.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here for 4 nights during winefest weekend. The room was clean and displayed the characteristics that the inn strives for. I really liked our queen room layout as it felt roomier than the competitors' rooms. The light continental breakfast every morning was delicious. The staff were warm and friendly — even others guests go out of their way to say good morning or strike up conversation, something I dare say anyone of us rarely see in other lodgings. The outdoor pool was a blessing with the warm weather. I have never seen a 6.5 foot depth ever at any other hotel or motel! My husband and another guest were highly impressed — this is quite the compliment as they are chief engineer and front desk manager of national hotel chains respectively! The bed was so ooo comfortable, that even my near-insomniac husband was sleeping like a baby. Last but not least, the rate was very reasonable and they do come highly recommended by AAA.
We did have to call the front desk once for our toilet running longer than usual, which met by quick response from the inns housekeeper. The issue was resolved temporarily as it was due to a partially closed flapper — the toilet was an older but reliable Kohler model. We mentioned at checkout about that and the staff response was that they are looking into replacing "the old flappers", indicating that other rooms were having similar issues.

Still have a couple nights left, Google is too impatient. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and it's very quiet. Close to so many places of interest. Has a nice neighborhood feel. We especially like that the pool is heated and open late.

What a quaint, cozy in reminiscent of the 50's but updated more recently! We were greeted warmly and checked in efficiently. We enjoyed cooling off in the pool and like the coziness of the rooms set up in a horseshoe pattern. Our adult children shared one room and my husband and I another and it was nice to be so close to each other yet in our own private space! The flower garden are beautiful and filled with old fashioned classics including scented roses. The breakfast of Danish, juice, coffee, fruit and cereal was just right for our tastes. We definitely recommend staying for a night or long term as it is comfortable and convenient. We we're in town for a wedding and used Uber to get to the venue but there are restaurants and shops nearby.

Excellent place and so family friendly. My wife, our children and I had such a great time here. The owners and staff were so great to deal with. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Great location close to many attractions, facilities, and shopping. Rooms are cozy but walls are a bit thin. A light breakfast is provided every morning, would consider it more of a snack really. Owners are pretty nice. Haven't hadan issue.

Glass House Inn is a very pleasant change from the Clarion Hotel and other franchisees. I came in late at night but the room was comfortable and odor neutral. No stale smoke or cover up perfume, which is very important to me. The shower was an actual shower, hot and high water pressure. The shower head was a little low, but it reminded me of home, so overall endearing. The staff was great with communication before arriving as well. The only reason I rated 4 was due to street noise, the hotel is located next to 26th street which can get busy in the morning. This could also be seen as a positive though, it was extremely easy to find and was accessible.

I am a Saudi citizen, I got to know, this residence is easy to locate. Besides, they are very helpful and friendly, rooms are very clean, applying proper breakfast. I spent one night Friday the 26th of May 2016 for about $ 63. The only point, which I may mention, is a bit expensive.

Since I was a little kid, we have been coming to Erie as a summer vacation. We always stayed at a hotel called the Inn at Presque Isle. Even as an adult I still love coming to Erie alot of good memories we made here. This spring I found out our hotel was sold to Waldameer Park. It was torn down to expand the water park. I was heart broken, years of memories and traditions gone. Then I was told about the glass house Inn. I will say I was very skeptical about it as I didn't think any place could make me fill as welcome, or at home as the Inn. But from the first day we stepped foot on the property at the Glass House Inn, my wife and I felt welcome and at home. The staff is great. The place is a little dated as its been around for a while. But up kept very well. The service, staff, location, and atmosphere here is wonderful. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay, or passing threw the Erie area. Can't wait to come back and I haven't even left yet! Thank you Glass House Inn for continuing my family's Erie tradition for many more years to come.

This is a place you might easily pass on. Don't. Out dated but quaint, very clean and super friendly. Continental breakfast was good. Room was comfortable. Would definitely stay again. Outdoor heated pool. Close to Presque Isle and all the attractions, off strip pricing. +++++.

Our stay was wonderful at the Glass House Inn. We are from Massachusetts and love to support small business's. The owner's Tim and Laura Merryman were very helpful with our stay. It has been family owned for years. The location is close to all the beaches, shopping, Lake Erie Speedway and many more things. I would recommend anyone to stay with them. You truly feel like you are at home. The continental breakfast is delicious as well. The kids loved the pool. I would recommend any of my family or friends to stay there. Very outdated. Even at this price I was very disappointed. I don't know how they have been getting positive customer reviews. The review system must be rigged. Would not stay here again. Clean and quiet but in desperate need of updating.

This is a very homey and quaint little family owned establishment. Room accommodations are very comfortable and the atmosphere is that of a quiet getaway. If you enjoy the simpler things in life and don't require extreme luxury this is a great place. We only stayed one night, but now I'm wishing it was longer.
