The Econo Lodge was fine. I delivered pizzas, didnt visit the hotel really. But it was clean and quiet.

Reasonable price, polite and friendly staff, next to a decent restaurant & bar. Quiet town. Beautiful country. The Painted Hills are inspiring.

Usually I have a great experience here. The AC was awesome! Service is good as usual. Just that particular room smelled. I couldn't figure out what it was. I'm sure it was just a one off situation as like I said before, I usually have a great experience there.

The hotel is old and dingey (as others note). But location is great if you want downtown. But the bed was comfortable and staff pleasant. Only a 2 because you can hear right through the doors, like the baby wailing three rooms away, or the conversations in the hall (that happen with regularity). And the price was high for the quality of the hotel.

Pretty good if your just going to sleep there. Not really up to date. They have free bagels and muffins in the morning.

Clean rooms, friendly staff. Pet friendly and a close to restaurants. Only downfall, no place for pets to potty.

This was a difficult stay from the beginning. The counter help told me there was no rooms. Recanting she said she only had a double which was more expensive. I explained that there were rooms online. After looking again she found a king only room which was $78.42 with taxes. I booked the room which was not overly clean or comfortable when I entered. I headed next door to the BBQ restaurant and immediately thought better of it. It was already filling up and there was a karaoke bar in the back with a very undesirable clientele. So I headed over to another restaurant across town. Which was very good. I arrived back to a parking lot full of extremely drunk and rude 20 year olds. They were belligerent and just looking for trouble. It was where I was parked, but remembering what the counter help had said about parking in the street being safer I moved my truck and trailer. After a very long night I went to check out and asked how much. She said it was paid on my credit card. Even though I expressly asked to pay cash. She said she knew and she was very sorry, and to please not be mad about the second charge. After inquiring she said the machine was very difficult and somehow she charged me twice, on my card. Not even cash as I asked. Very unpleasant stay. Trying to leave was equally difficult because even though I parked where told to they don't like travelers and blocked me in, see pics.

The hotel needs updating but the rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The Wi-Fi is so weak that it doesn't show up as an internet option but the Subway across the street does.

Literally the grossest motel I’ve ever been in. $100 for two beds that were likely found on the side of the road. People doing meth in the parking lot. The whole place smells like cigarettes. People smoking cigarettes in the doorways blocking the entrances. People sitting on the stairwell blocking them. Window doesn’t open. There’s literally an extra window installed inside the room just so you can’t open the exterior window. Carpet looks like it was salvaged out of an airport. Boogers on the walls… something sticky on the door handle…! Soooo gross! Shoddiest remodeling I’ve ever seen. Waaaay overpriced. It should be a $30 motel and check out all the fake positive reviews by “anonymous”. This place is waaay below motel 6 level.

The room was clean, and if you wanted a room next to a rowdy bar then this place is a good place to crash. However I asked for a king size bed and was given a full size with no extra charge. It was real late when we checked in so it was a place to sleep.

For the price, this place is extremly clean. Room is tiny. But if you have high standards, I recommend staying here. I stayed in 4 diffrent hotels in Town over 5 days. By far the cleanest place!

Luckily the room we were staying in was operable but the room we got for one of our friends was not. The manager gave us a full refund though which I am glad about. It was still slightly disappointing but these things happen.

I've stayed here before but it's been quite a few years ago. Was hesitant due to the current reviews but was pleasantly surprised when we got to our room. Hallways smelled smokey but they are remodeling room by room and got a room that had been remodeled. Rodeo was in town and had to get management when we first arrived to deal with drunk cowboys but after that they settled down and there were no more issues.

Appauled at the customer service and treatment of me and my family, owners are like scary militia… Weird Rules and spying on you, breakfast moved from literally under your nose Would never stay here again. Dirtiest place I've ever stayed in Cleaned back in 1972

Absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had with any hotel. The lady at the front desk was short and seemed annoyed that we were even there. When we had questions about our room we were told "no one has ever complained before so it will be fine. " One of the most unaccommodating customer service people I have ever delt with in any field that deals directly with the public. If I could rate it lower than one star I would. A lot lower…

The rooms are big and clean. Our stay was ok except for when the people in the next room started fighting and the woman was screaming for help. I called the front desk and told them to call the police. Instead, the manager came up to see what was happening. The couple was still fighting and he just stood there and watched until I again told him he needed to call police. He just nodded and walked away. I called the police. I thought that if you ran a motel and this kind of thing happened they would handle it. I guess not!

The most accommodating and helpful staff I have ever encountered. Consider myself lucky to have stayed there. Right owner and great management.

The rooms smelled like smoke even though we had a non smoking room. There seems to be minimal staff. Although the room was very clean and kept well. Not a terrible hotel, but it did keep me comfortable. I feel I would come back if I work in town again.

Good location. The room is fine. The price is right. One recommendation:. Bring your own toilet paper! The toilet paper here would make better printer paper… or sandpaper — about 320 grit.

The rooms we had were smoking rooms since that's all they had available. The smell in the rooms were awful and because the Econo Lodge is on the main street we couldn't open our windows at night to try and air it out. For the price of a single room of $67 and a double room of $77 the rate and the room were what we expected. Nothing fancy but comfortable enough for our stay. The beds were ok but not too comfortable for those with a bad back. The linens and bedspread are a lower quality and need to be updated. The old coffee makers should definitely be replaced with more modern units. These little machines brew single serve cups with the provided little packets. If a person would fill the carafe and use one packet you'd get coffee weak enough to look through. The quality and quantity of the coffee is below what anyone could drink. It's atrocious! The breakfast offered are bagels or Costco muffins along with weak orange juice. Not great at all but at least it's there if you want something. Besides the noise level with slamming doors, rooms with paper thin walls, people coming and going in the halls while talking or yelling, it made it very difficult to sleep or relax. But the worst thing at Econo Lodge is the parking! There are not enough spots available by the main entrance. Additional parking at the rear of the hotel is dark and dangerous!

Room was just what you would expect. The people were nice. I liked that I was walking distance of just about everything.

It's a bed and bathroom. It's clean. It's got everything you'd expect, Wi-Fi, cable and AC. Service was a little rude, beds were hard.

Just the essentials. Room was clean and perfect for sleeping in the dark.

Not too bad of a place to stay. Showers are finicky. Beds are comfortable. AC units are old and barely work.

First showed up at 2AM, I realize this is not the most convenient time to check in but office is locked and I had to stand outside in the cold (November) while I was checked in. Got to room (non smoking) that smelled like smoke and the rest of the dirty hotel as the bottom seal on door was half missing. Heat was completely shut off and room was freezing. Bedding appeared clean and sanitary. They did have mini fridge, and coffee pot in the room. Couldn't get over the smell, Have you ever been to an old run down retirement home, the one that was repurposed from some other state building 30 years ago? Kind of like that. Bathroom was in disrepair and dirty. Even toilet tank lid had grime on it, and bathtub looked like it was caulked by a toddler. I promise I am easily pleased and don't usually leave comments at all. Only if I have a amazing or terrible experience. This place needs an overhaul badly. Continental breakfast was okay, bagels and muffins with hot coffee and cold orange juice. Will pay the extra to find another hotel next time.

Very nice experience with this motel. Rooms were clean with most of the amenities of 3-star room. Stayed for just one night on the way to painted hills from Portland. Staff was extremely friendly and considerate. B/F was well above the 2-star rating. I would highly recommend this to travelers want to stopover on the way to central-eastern OR.
